AN: I hope you all enjoyed my last chapter with action, I hope you like the chapters to come. Sorry it took a while, its been abit hectic for me lately.

Chapter 13

"Follow me, I know somewhere safe where we can camp and also help her." Alec told Robin, but Robin didn't reply he only looked at him dead in the eyes. " I know you don't trust me , but I can help you. You just have to trust me." This time Robin nodded "But if I cant trust you I wont hesitate to kill you." Alec glanced at Selena and then back to Robin. "You can trust me." They rid till they were at Alec's camp. Selena was sitting in front of Robin and Alec was on Selena's horse. Robin put Selena's weapons on the back of his horse. Selena began to get pale, Alec kept glancing towards her. Alec knew that he never met her before but there was something about her that mesmerised him.

When they made it to camp Alec got off his horse and tied it up to a tree. He then went to Robin and reached up to get Selena off. He carried her and put her near the camp fire. Robin also tied his horse and went to Selenas side, Robin took of her corset slowly and lifted her blouse, just so that her wound was visible. Alec lit the fire and got some tools ready and sterile for when Robin was going to clean up her wounds. Alec brought Robin a bowl of water and a cloth to was the blood. Robin cleaned all the blood and got the needle and thread ready for stitching. Selena was still out, Robin began to stitch up her wound and after her waist injury he stitched her cheek. Robin the re-bandaged her waist and pulled her blouse back down. He walked up to his horse and pulled a blanket from the bag and went to cover her with it. He then grabbed both his and Selena's arrows and sat by Selena and cleaned them. He never left her side, Alec sat on the opposite side of the campfire. "So who are you Alec?" Robin asked curiously, wondering who this young man was. Alec looked up to him, his emerald green eyes sparkling in the fire. "Well Im a hunter, a monster hunter." Robins eyes widened "Wow, you must be really busy." Alec smirked "You have no idea. The amount of ogres, witches and trolls I had to hunt. " Alec blew out a breath. Robin smiled he felt comfortable and the atmosphere wasn't tense anymore. He was getting acquainted with Alec. "How old are you Alec?" "Im 21 years old, my father was a monster hunter so he trained me. But he died 5 years ago." "Im sorry lad." Robin told him sympathetically. Alec gave him a slight smile, and thought of something else to talk about. "So…where are you and your daughter heading?" Robin smiled "Oh.. Selena isn't my daughter , but she is like one to me. She is looking for her mother." Alecs eyes widened "oh.. did her mother abandon her?" Alec was curious about her. She was like a mystery to him. "No... she was taken away from her mother and she has been looking for her for 9 years. She really has been through a lot." Robin said as he checked on her. Im going to hunt something for dinner, would it be ok if you can keep an eye on her?" Alec nodded and gave him a genuine smile "Sure, shes in good hands." Robin bowed his head down in thanks and left camp.

Selena slowly began to wake, the pain had kicked in. It clear on her face, she notices Alec sitting near her. He also noticed her waking, she slowly pushes herself up to a sitting position, Alec quickly gets up and helps her get comfortable. His emerald eyes never left her ocean blue ones. They never said anything to one another they just looked into one another's eyes till Selena broke the silence. "Thank you, for saving me." Alec smiled "Your welcome anytime. How are you feeling?" He sat next to her. Selena smiled through the pain "Im ok , but the pain is unbearable." She replied back as she felt the stitches pull and the bandage on her waist. Alec went to his satchel and pulled out a bottle and a spoon and went back to Selena. "Here have some of this, it will make you feel better and take the pain away." Alec told her as he poured the fluid on the spoon. Selena looked at him and after took the spoon and drank it. Her face scrunched up it tasted bitter and herby. "Thank you, but what is that stuff?" Alec chuckled slightly "It's a herbal antidote my father taught me, it cures almost everything." He told her. Selena looked down ashamed "Oh my …. Im so sorry how rude of me , Im Selena. What is your name?" "No don't be , that's a beautiful name, my name is Alec Krane." He said with a smile. "Thank you, I guess my mother liked it." She told him. Her smile faltered, whatever she thought about upset her. "Do you want to talk about it." She looked at him, his eyes were sincere and understanding. "I wouldn't want to burden you with my life." She said looking down at her hands. Alec reached out and placed a hand on Selenas . "Im here for you. I know you don't know me, but you can trust me." Selena looked up to him and smiled. "Are you sure?" Alec nodded , Selena felt overwhelmed. Nobody cared for except for the merry men and people close to her.

She told him everything and he listened and sometimes questioned. When it came to her mother and what Cora done she tried to hold back the tears, Alec moved closer to her and comforted her as she let it all out. He put an arm around her and whispered reassuring words to her. Alec also talks about his past and about his father. She began to calm down. "Im sorry." She whispered as her eyes were still glassy. "Don't be, and Robin went to hunt something for dinner." Selena nodded, as her eyes were closing. She felt emotionally drained, Alec noticed that Selena fell asleep in his arms. He admired her for a little while. She looked so peaceful and beautiful, her hair loose and long covering her eye. Alec gently pushed back a strand of hair that was covering her eye and then gently lay her back down and covered her with a blanket. He slowly slipped down and sat on the floor whilst leaning on the bed. I hope she makes it before this Cora woman does. He checked on her every so often, whilst he thought on everything that she had told him and went through.

* Whilst Alec and Selena talk*

Meanwhile Robin was by the creek hunting dinner for the three of them. He crept around as quietly as he could whilst looking around. He spots a quail and readies his bow, he shoots and it falls to his feet. He spots another two flying and he quickly shoots them down. He really was the greatest archer in the realm. He picked all three of the birds and put them in his bag. He also picked some berries and noticed the footprints again leaving from the creek. He moves closer, he crouches down and touches the prints. They were fresh and they were close , which only meant one thing they were nearly there and Selena will soon meet her mother at last.
