AN: I am really sorry that this chapter took so long. I lost my inspiration to write thinking no one liked my fic and also work didn't give me time. But now I feel like I can continue my fic slowly and here is my next chapter. I hope you all like it. Sorry again.
Chapter 15
Selena woke due to the sun light. When she opened her eyes she felt an arm wrapped around her. The camp fire was out and she noticed that the persons arm that was around her was Alecs. Her eyes widened as she remembered what happened that night. She slowly moved from Alecs grasp as she tried not to wake him. Selena then remembered what happened with Alec and herself when Robin caught them together. I wonder if Robin is awake? Oh No what will happen if he saw us asleep snuggling together. He will begin to dislike him, and I hope he doesn't. She started to look for him. She looked all around the camp and even in his tent. His blankets were all rolled up ready for their journey. Selena walks back to Alec and gently tries to wake him. Alec murmurs and slightly moves. His hair was dark brown and dishevelled where some short parts fell into his eyes. He also had a short slight anchor goatee. Selena admired him for a moment. She couldn't help but wonder how Alec got the scar that started at the end of his right eyebrow to the corner of his lip. Selena was too busy admiring him, and didn't realise what she was doing. She gently pushed a strand of hair that had fallen into his closed eyes and also caressed his cheek. She cooed to him "Alec you need to wake up, I think we are leaving soon." Alec groaned as he slowly opened his eyes. "good morning beautiful." He told her with that smile that makes her melt. Selena blushed at the comment. Alec stood up and rearranged his clothes. He was of average height and built. He tucked his white shirt into his black pants and fixed his black vest. He rolled up his sleeves and put a few daggers in his black boots. He took his belt and put it back on and moved back next to Selena. "Did you sleep well?" He asked her noticing a slight blush on her cheeks. Selena nodded "thank you for making me feel safe." Selena smiled back, she finally felt happy. All that was missing was her mother. There was movement from the bushes, Alec pushed Selena behind him as he quickly grabbed his crossbow. Selena also grabbed her bow and arrow and moved to Alecs side. "Who goes there?" Alec shouted sternly. "Its me , Robin." He replied back as he walked out from the bushes. Selena and Alec put their weapons down as Robin approached them. "Good morning, are you ok Robin?" Selena asked worried about what was going on. "Good morning, yes Im ok. I went to collect some berries and fresh water for when we continue our journey." Robin replied. "I could have helped you." Selena told him. "Will we be continuing our journey? Should we start packing?" Alec asked this time. Robin glared at Alec but his eyes softened when they were met by Selenas blue orbs. "Yes we will be continuing , but first we should pack up everything." Robin said answering Alecs question. Alec and Selena went straight to work, whilst Robin got the horses ready. As soon as they were ready they begun their journey, following the footprints.
The footprints lead to a clearing. "This seems like a trap." Selena says to both Robin and Alec. Robin and Alec both climb off, Alec helps Selena down whilst Robin ties his horse to a tree. They all arm themselves with their weapons , Robin makes sure he keeps Selena and Alec behind him. They slowly crept into the clearing trying to not make any noise. As they approached the clearing two women jumped out from behind a tree. One woman had a short pixie cut with a bow and arrow, and the other had blond flowing locks armed with a sword. Robin aimed his bow and arrow at the pixie looking woman. "Who are you? And what are you looking for?" the blond woman demanded. Selena looked over Robin and Alecs shoulder and slowly came out from behind them. " Im looking for a portal were I can be reunited with my mother." Alec slowly pulls her back behind him. The blond woman notices her speaking the truth while the other was observing her. "What happened to your mother?" Robin looked at Selena and answered by asking for their names. "Sorry but we don't even know your names, you could be anyone." "Oh how rude of us, Im snow or Mary Margaret and this is Emma. And you are?" Robin introduced himself and Alec "and this is- ." but he was cut off by Selena. "Im Selena, and I don't know all I know is that she was a queen in this realm and that my grandmother took me away from my mother." "Its nice to meet you all." Says Snow to the group. "Don't you think she looks a lot like Regina." Emma said to snow. Snow looks at Selena " Yes she does, you said your mother was a queen?" Snow asked whilst trying to put Selenas story together. Selena nodded "Yes, but my grandmother Cora took me and left me on the doorstep of Jefferson." It all went quiet Snow and Emma's eyes grew wide. "Well that explains why she looks so much like Regina." Emma told Snow. "Wait, what you know my mother?" Selena asked as she was becoming confused. Snow nodded her head "Yes we do." Selena couldn't hold her desperation in anymore. "Please, do you know a way I can get to her." Alec gently put a hand on Selena whilst whispering reassuring words into her ear. Emma felt sad for the girl, she understood how she felt. "Yes we do, we are also looking for the portal. You can come with us." Selena couldn't believe her ears, her eyes began to glisten. Alec smiled and Robin also looked at Selena. Robin told her that everything will work out . "R-Really? Do you mean it?" Snow smiled and nodded her head. Robin walks up to Snow and tells her why they are here and also Selena's story. Snow reassures Robin by telling him that they will take care of her and nothing will harm her. Emma tells the group the plan but before they could put their plan into action there was a loud cackle and the sky became cloudy. They all turn to find Cora and Hook. Robin pushes Selena and Alec behind him.
The battle begins Alec, Robin and Snow have their bows ready. Selena quickly grabbed Alec next to her with her sword drawn. Her eyes were glazed and she couldn't help it because this was it. " I-If we get to say goodbye, I-I just want you to know that I have never met anyone as amazing as you. A-And I ..I love you." She felt pathetic that she told him how she felt about him, but she felt relieved that she finally got it out. OH MY GOD, I cant believe I told him. Look at him, he's quiet he probably doesn't feel the same way. How stupid am I , who would love me? Im a mess. Alec couldn't believe what he had heard. Alec turned towards her, she looked conflicted and he noticed a tear slip down her cheek. He was about to respond when Cora summoned an army of zombies. The group went on full alert, Selena wiped away her tears and held her sword ready. There must have been 50 zombies, Robin told Snow and Alec to fire their arrows. Selena made a step towards a zombie but something or someone caught her eye. It was Cora, She noticed if she lost she would never see her mother. She had a sudden erg to charge but she knew Cora would use magic. Selena looked around and saw Robin , Alec and Snow firing arrows at the army and Emma was duelling with Hook. As she turned she came face to face with none other than Cora.
"My dear, oh how I've missed you; but you cannot go back and be reunited with my dear Regina." Cora stated. "I thought you might say that but Im not giving up without a fight. See I've changed since the last time we met." Selena says as she stands her ground looking regal than ever. Cora summons a fireball "As you wish." Before Cora threw the fireball Alec fired an arrow which nearly caught Cora on the arm. Robin also ran to help both Selena and Alec. They took down nearly all the zombies, there were only 7 left. Emma punches Hook on the nose then runs to help Snow. As Hook got up he looked at Selena and tried to slowly make his way to her. That lass is gonna get herself killed. Stubborn just like her mother. Before he could reach her Robin jumped in front leading them to fight. Whilst duelling Hook whispers to Robin "Aye mate Im trying to help them go through the portal." Robin saw the honesty in his eyes and he also remembered when Selena told him that he save her from Cora's dungeon. Cora was full of rage so she walked up to Selena. Cora used her magic to lift Selena in the air , Selena felt all the oxygen leave her body. Alec tried to fire an arrow but Cora flicked her wrist and Alec flew near the remaining zombies. Selena tries to focus on defeating Cora. She thinks about her mother, Robin, Roland and Alec. She felt something tingling inside. She doesn't know what it is but it was getting stronger. Cora was slowly losing control of her magic. Selena slightly shook and a strong force knocked Cora back whilst Selena falls to the floor. Her head making contact with a rock. "Selena!" Alec screams while taking down the last 2 zombies, the others stared wide eyed at the scene in front of them. Cora gets up but Selena was groaning and tried to sit up. She felt like she was having a migraine but having a migraine doesn't consist of blood dripping down your forehead. Selena felt shocked for the magic she conjured. She slowly stood and turned to look toward where Cora landed but found her staring at her with bloodlust. Before Selena could do anything Cora plunged her hand into Selena's chest. "My dear what have I told you? LOVE IS WEAKNESS." Selena feels the pain from both her head and chest she feels like she is going to collapse but manages to save all her strength. "NO! Its strength!" Cora felt her hand being pushed out from Selena's chest. Cora throws Selena with her magic, Selena could feel the darkness creeping in. She landed next to Emma, Snow , Robin and Hook she didn't move and her eyes closed. She looked lifeless and drained both energy and magically. Alec runs towards Selena falling to his knees and holding her. "No Selena please wake up." Emma aims her sword at Cora . "That little toothpick cant defeat me, just know that this is not over I will be back." Cora summons 3 more zombies and watches the battle commence once more. Alec cups Selena's cheek "Please don't leave me. Wake up." His voice broke. He slowly leaned down and placed a small kiss on her lips. Selenas eye flickered open, she slowly tried to gain her strength. Selena slowly lifted her hand and cupped Alecs cheek. "I wish we met before and that you could come with me." Alec smiles sadly and wipes a tear she shed with the pad of his thumb. "I wish that too." Alec helps her stand slowly supporting her up. "I guess this is our goodbye." She chokes out as more tears make there way out. Alec pulls her to him holding her tight, his lips land on hers for a passionate kiss. "Ill come for you, I will never stop looking." He says in between there kisses. Robin made his way to Selena which caused there kiss to a stop. "Hey , you planning on leaving without saying goodbye." He says with a wink. Selena turns and gives Robin a hug "Never, ill miss you and the little man. Please take care, maybe one day you can come to this realm too." Selena says she has prepared and thought about this moment. "Ill miss you too, you take care as well and go get your mum."
Suddenly the portal opens and all zombies are gone Emma charges towards Cora but as she reaches her Cora poofs into thin air but her voice was lingering "Remember I will be back." Snow and Emma hold hands before they jump into the portal. Selena notices something or someone charging towards them. It all happened quickly. Hook pushed Selena into the portal as her pretended to fight Robin. "NOO!" Alec shouted as he ran to the edge of the portal. "I LOVE YOU TOO Selena!" Alec shouted his back hunched and limp. He just hoped she heard him.
