AN: I am really sorry that this chapter took so long. Work didn't give me the time. But now I feel like I can continue my fic slowly. I hope you all like it. Sorry again. This is the second to last chapter and Im thinking of writing a sequel.
Chapter 16
Oh my god did he just say what I thought he said!
Selena was getting dizzier and weaker, but she fights it holding onto the well and slowly trying to get out. She slowly climbed up and out of the well, Selena felt all her strength leave her. She sways and leans on the well. As she looked around she saw a short haired brunette who was absolutely stunning leaning on a tree for support. A young boy who was waiting for someone and a man with a cane who looked powerful. As Emma climbed out Snow soon followed. The young boy ran up to Emma and hugged her. Snow goes to check on Selena to see if she was ok and to help her . Snow can see Selenas weakened state and goes to help her . "Are you ok?" Snow asked Selena concerned of her condition. Selena nods as she gathers up all her strength. Snow smiles and hugs her "I know something that will make you feel better. You know the woman leaning on that tree over there?" Selena looks towards the lady and nods. "Her name is Regina, she is your mother." Selenas eyes widened as she observes her mother, she cant help notice how sad and broken she looks. "The clothes in this realm is very different to the enchanted forest." Snow giggled and nodded. "Its much more comfortable than a corset and gown." Selena smiled but couldn't take her eyes off her mother, she began to feel emotional and still weak.
Selena felt a strong force pulling her towards her mother. Snow noticed Selena welling up and becoming emotional and goes up to Regina. "Thank you Regina. How are you holding up?" Regina looked at Snow her eyes were red and her skin was pale. Selena felt a strong force pulling her again and also wanting to comfort her but she couldn't just go up to her. Im a stranger she wouldn't believe me either. Selena looks at Snow, Snow was in front of Regina blocking Selenas vision of her. Selena knew what was going on and turned to look away. Shes not going to believe her and I will have a mother but one who doesn't want me. Selena looks at Regina and notices that she has tensed up and is defending herself. Regina loos towards her supposed daughter, the girls eyes look like she is slowly giving up hope, Regina felt bad for the girl. Regina and Snow continue Selena hears the last sentence her mother says and tries hard to hold back a sob. She closes her eyes and tries to regain herself. She walks towards them slowly as she feels dizzy. "Hi- um you probably know e-everything about me but, I-im Selena. Everything Snow said is true." Selena told Regina as tears formed and her voice wavered. "You have to believe me." Selena was becoming distressed.
Regina stiffened , her jaw was set her eyes glaring. "Enough! I don't have to believe you! Who do you think you are!" she shouts causing Selena to jump and back and away slightly. "My daughter died! My mother told me and helped bury her!" She told them pained that she had to relive the memory in her head. Regina looked towards Snow and Selena but kept her eyes fixated on Selena. Selena let the tears fall, that was it she lost. Selena made eye contact with Regina. "That's what she made you believe." Selena said barely audible but Regina and Snow heard. Selena remembered something and moved closer. "T-This is all I have from my m-mother." Selena said through the tears and lifted up her arm to show her bracelet. Regina leant in to see the bracelet. Selena slips it off and gives it to Regina. 'Love you always mummy' Regina is shocked her eyes widen. Can it be! I cant believe it. Shes alive! But it cant be. "You stole this didn't you?" Regina asked her voice low and eyes set. Snow attempted to jump in but Selena replied "No no no, I didn't it belongs to me." A tear fell freely from her face. Selena thought of something. "Y-You don't believe me so do a spell to see everything, m-my past and what I went through to find y-you." She sobbed. Snow put a comforting hand on her shoulder.
Regina wiggled her fingers and walked to Selena. Selena attempts to stand straight but couldn't help but slouch due to the energy drain. Regina placed both hands on either side of Selena's face. "It wont hurt." Selena nodded "I've been worse." Selena replied back to Regina. Regina closed her eyes and focused on the spell. Selena copied what her mother did and she hoped that Regina would believe her. Regina saw everything from when she was taken by Cora both times, to the new realm, being tortures, meeting Robin and then fighting her way to her mother which is her. Regina gasped, tears immediately springing to her eyes. Selena opens her eyes to meet her mothers glazed over eyes. "If you don't want me or still don't believe me , I-I understand." Selena told her as tears were falling. Regina shook her head as tears fell freely. "No no no. I do believe you, I cant believe its true. Im so sorry." Regina walked closer and pulled Selena in for an embrace. They were letting the tears fall freely not caring about everyone around them. Selena felt very overwhelmed and felt the dizziness come back, her head begun to spin. "I've fought so hard to be back with you ... to have a mother." Regina pulls back slightly and cups Selenas cheek. "You don't have to anymore, we are together." Selena smiled as she felt the comfort of her mother. The darkness approached again capturing her and making her muscles feel heavy. Regina notices something wrong with Selena and became concerned. "Are you alri-" before Regina could continue Selena collapsed in her arms.
Gold made his way to Regina who was sitting helplessly on the ground holding her unconscious daughter. Mr Gold put a hand on Selenas forehead. "She will be fine, she has used up nearly all of her magic. Oh…but she is strong like you dearie, and she needs to learn to control it." With that Gold left them. Henry was wide eyed whilst standing with Emma, he knew something was up but what. Snow puts a supportive hand on Regina's shoulder. She grabs Emma's phone and calls charming to come as it's an emergency. Ten minutes later the sheriff car pulls up and charming runs out. Snow tells charming what happened and who the young girl is in Regina's arms. Charming tell Regina that he will help put Selena in her car. Charming slowly takes Selena from Regina's arms and takes her to the car. Regina walks behind charming alongside Snow , Emma and Henry but her eyes never leaving Selena. "Can I come with you mom?" Henry asked feeling guilty for the way he blamed her for casting the spell to stop them from coming through the portal. Emma replies before Regina gets a chance to. "Hey kid how about we catch up and ill tell you all about Selena?" Henry thought for a second and then nodded his head in agreement. "Can I come over tomorrow?" He turns and asks Regina. Regina smiled and nodded and gave him a kiss and a cuddle. "Of course you can." Charming tells Regina that he will follow with Snow so he can help her carry her in the house.
When they arrived at the mills manor Regina unlocked the front door while charming carried Selena. Regina told charming to put Selena in the spare room. Charming slowly put her on the bed and turned to leave, before he left Regina thanked him. Regina used her magic to poof some pyjamas on Selena. She felt exhausted it all felt so overwhelming for her so she went to run herself a bath. Regina rethinks about all the things she saw and what happened to Selena, all the abuse and pain she went through to be with her. Not anymore. We are together now nothing can separate us. When Regina was bathed and dressed in her night gown she goes to check on Selena one last time before she goes to bed. Selena was still sleeping but Regina noticed that she was slowly gaining colour again.
Meanwhile at the Charmings Henry grabs his story book after Emma and Snow told him everything about their journey and Selena. Henry sits in bed looking through his books to see if there is anything about Selena in it. He notices that there were a few empty pages in the book that has now been filled and its Selenas story. He turns the page to find a picture of Selena kissing a guy with piercing emerald eyes. He begins to read her story to see who this guy was. Who is he? I never saw him come out of the well with her. Henry then realises it was her goodbye kiss with a guy called Alec.
A/N: so that's the end of the chapter, what do you guys think? I know I took a while I had abit of writers block but I finally finished the chapter. So im thinking of writing one more chapter then making a sequel. Please feel free to tell me what you think. Thank you for your support
