Loke was a flirt. It was a common truth. He loved women and wasn't afraid to show it. Everyone if Fairy Tail could tell you that. But the moment he first saw Lucy he knew he would love her...even if he did run away. And it wasn't a romantic love either. Loke couldn't exactly explain it, but he was drawn to her. His thoughts were only strengthed when Lucy risked her life and got him let back into the spirit world. It became official then. Loke would do anything for his princess. In his fight against Bixslow when Happy claimed he liked Lucy he was right. In a way. Lucy was everything a celestial mage should be. Kind and loving to her spirits. Loke's love grew for her everyday he was with her. It was never a romantic love, though he loved to tease her. It was a love between a brother and sister. But Loke knows the day he was reunited with Aries was the day he swore to do everything he could for Lucy, even if he ended up stuck in the human world again.
"I have come Lucy! Let us show them the power of our love!"
He was, after all, Lucy's knight in shining armor.
