Blood of A Demon
Chapter One
Kagome encounters a demon with the ability to turn a human into a demon by a mere scratch, of course the demon cannot control his ability on what demon a human becomes, he only has the ability to turn anyone at will. Stories have traveled the land of a powerful priestess and the demon has searched far and wide to find her. His goal? To turn her and make her his mate.
It was just another beautiful day, the sun was bright and the day was warm. Birds chirped in the trees above as the group made their way through the forest in search of more jewel shards. Inu Yasha had gone on ahead with that familiar look in his eye that he got when he picked up Kikyou's scent. It always tore her heart apart when he would run off in search of Kikyou, but what could she do?
"Kagome are you okay?" asked the demon slayer, Sango.
Kagome looked over at her companion and gave a half-hearted smile, "I'm fine. I think we should take a break here and maybe try to eat something. Inu Yasha won't be back for a while I'm guessing."
"That is an excellent idea!" piped in the monk, Miroku.
"Perfect, I think I'll just take a walk for now. I'll be back in a little." Kagome said as she walked to the base of a tree and set down the large yellow backpack she carried with her along with her bow and arrows that had become her signature weapon during the battles they fought in.
"Don't wander too far, we'll be right here if you need us." Sango said with a worried look to her as she watched Kagome walk off into the forest.
Kagome was deep in thought as she walked the forest, the picture of Inu Yasha and Kikyou played in her mind over and over. Would he ever look at her the way he looked at Kikyou? Was there room in Inu Yasha's heart for her? All this and more ran through her mind.
The snap of twig interrupted Kagome's thoughts, she looked around and noticed it was a lot later in the day. She had lost track of time and furthermore, she had lost track of where she was. She looked around the area trying to see where the sound had come from but saw nothing.
"Inu Yasha?" she called out as she continued to scan the area. Could it have been her imagination? A figure caught her attention from the corner of her eye, and she turned her head to look straight into the yellow eyes of a snow leopard demon.
"Who are you, and what do you want?!" Kagome spat out as she defiantly met the demon's gaze.
The demon smirked as he leaned against a tree and stared on at Kagome. His gaze unsettled her and his smirked caused a shiver of panic to run through her body.
"At long last, I have found you. It has taken quite a long time to find you little priestess. I have heard much about you and I must say I am not disappointed." Came the demon's reply. "It's not every day you get to witness a human turn into a demon, and a priestess at that."
"What are you talking about?! That doesn't answer my question on who you are and what you want!" Kagome said as she took a step back from the demon. She looked around her and was still not sure which way she had come, and which way would lead her back to her companions.
"Why little priestess, it's you I want. I have been searching for you for quite some time. You see little one, I plan on making you my mate, a power priestess such as yourself would produce strong children. Now of course we cannot have little half demons running around, so we will have to change that, and by that, I'm talking about changing you." Answered the demon as he continued to casually lean against the tree.
"Changing me… what are you talking about?!"
"You see little priestess, one of my demon talents is being able to turn a human into a demon. Now, I can control this aspect of my power, what I cannot control is what demon you will be transformed into."
Kagome's eyes widened as she stared on at the demon in disbelief. He would not DARE change her to a demon. Would he? She was not going to take any chances on finding out. She turned on her heel and started to run into the forest, still not remembering which way she had come from.
"You can run all you want priestess, but you will not be able to outrun me." Chuckled the demon as he watched Kagome turn on her heel and dash into the forest. He would give her a head start and start the chase.
Kagome looked over her shoulder as she sprinted through the forest, dodging low hanging branches here and there. She slowed to a walk as she saw no sign of the demon behind her, she looked around the forest trying to figure out just which way to go. Should she call out for her companions? Would that only notify the demon of where she was? Of course, it would! Her only option was to try and find her way back or hope that Inu Yasha was already looking for her.
How could she have been so foolish as to leave her bow and arrows behind? How could she have been so foolish to have lost track of time and lost her way in the forest?! There was no time to think on any of that, the demon would surely be hunting her now. Having caught her breath in the time it took her to wonder all of this she once again started to run through the forest, still having no idea which way she needed to run.
"I think the game is over my little priestess." Came the voice of the demon as he appeared in front of her. He calmly walked over to her and pinned her up against a tree, staring into her sapphire eyes. "Interesting eyes you have my dear, it will be a treat to see exactly how the transformation changes you. Yes, transforming you will enhance your powers. Breeding you will definitely produce fine, strong children."
Kagome's wide eyes stared up into the eyes of the demon that held her pinned to a tree. A smirk on his face as he reached out and took her neck in his hand, with his index finger he ran along the side of Kagome's neck, drawing blood, "and with that the transformation begins."
It was at that moment the snow leopard demon was sent flying through the air with such force, sending him through several trees. He reacted quick as lightning and was on his feet, claws drawn and ready for a fight only to meet the cold golden eyes of the Western Lord himself.
"What are you doing on my lands?" Questioned the Demon Lord.
"Forgive me, I… I had not realized that I had entered the Western Lands, Lord Sesshoumaru." Stuttered the demon as he bowed to the demon in front of him.
"You will leave these lands at once, if I find you on my lands again you will not live to see another day."
"Y-yes…" replied the demon as he cautiously made his way past the priestess and the Lord of the Western Lands.
Sesshoumaru turned around to meet the sapphire gaze of the priestess known to be the half-breed's wench. What was she doing on his lands and where was his annoying half-breed brother?"
As he stared down at the human girl, she suddenly turned pale, she raised her hands in front of her and watched as they grew slightly longer, the nails grew sharper. Her hair grew longer, and her eyes changed from sapphire to bright blue. She looked up at him with a worried look before she shuddered and her body fell to the ground, unconscious.
Looking down at her, he decided to leave her there for any demon to do with her as they pleased. But as he was walking away, he looked over his shoulder. Why go through all the trouble of saving her to just leave her there, allowing another demon to pick up the place of the last demon?
Looking at the girl's now pure demon form he picked her up as best as he could with only one arm and headed back to his castle, where a certain human child awaited his return.
Entering the castle, he was greeted by a hyper little girl known to everyone as Rin, and a green toad demon, known as Jaken. He watched closely as Jaken walked over to the woman and sniffed.
"Mi'lord, who is this demon woman you have brought back with you?" asked Jaken as he continued to examine the unconscious body of the demon woman.
"She is Inu Yasha's wench." Was the cool calm reply of the Western Lord.
Wide eyed, Jaken looked up at his lord and back at the woman on the floor. Surely his lord did not just say that the woman laying there on the floor was the half-breed's toy.
"Get her to a room." Sesshoumaru said as he stepped over the girl and walked off into the castle.
"Y-yes Lord Sesshoumaru! Right away!" said Jaken as he summoned a couple of the servants to take the woman to a room.
'What has possessed me to bring that wench to my home?' the Mighty Lord questioned himself as he walked down the halls. 'Surely I have made a mistake in bringing that damn girl here!'
'You could use the girl to get the fang your brother possesses.'
'Yes, I think that is exactly what I will do.' The Western Lord thought to himself as he made his way to his study.
Kagome
Kagome opened her eyes to see a small girl staring at her. She sat up straight and looked around the room, seeing many beautiful rugs laid out on the floor, and tapestries hanging on the walls. She then brought her attention back to the little girl staring at her, she knew this little girl, she often traveled with Inu Yasha's half brother, Sesshoumaru.
"Hi, my name is Kagome," said Kagome with a smile. She watched as the little girl's face lit up with a smile and then a bunch of flowers were placed on her lap.
"My name is Rin! Would you like to come and play with me?" asked the little girl.
Kagome smiled down at her, "Of course! I would love to come and play with you."
"You would?! Okay! I will be in the garden waiting for Kagome-chan!"
Kagome watched the little girl skip out of the room. She smiled as the young girl reminded her of Shippo... Shippo! Sango, Miroku and Inu Yasha! They were all probably worried about her. She got out of bed only to realize she had nothing on; in the same moment, the door opened to reveal a petite woman.
Blushing at her lack of wear, Kagome grabbed a blanket and hid herself. The woman smiled at her and walked over to a closet. She pulled out a black kimono, with red flower petals stitched in a random but beautiful pattern and placed it on the bed.
"It seems to me that you have not slept without any clothes on before."
Kagome blushed even harder at this and hid her face, leaving only her eyes peeking from the blanket. The woman motioned for her to follow. Wrapping the blanket around herself, Kagome followed the woman to an indoor hot spring.
The woman turned around and left Kagome to take her bath. Looking around, Kagome saw no one, so she dropped the blanket to the floor and entered the hot spring, sighing as the warm water embraced her.
After soaking in the hot spring till she turned into a prune, literally, she got out. As soon as she was out two young girls started on the task of wrapping a towel around her body and leading her back to her room. Upon entering the room, one girl walked over to the bed, picked up the black kimono, and walked back over to her.
The other took the towel from around Kagome's body and slid the kimono onto her. All the while Kagome was blushing. Tying the sash around her waist, the girls finished and left the room. Kagome stood in the middle of the room confused and wondering what to do.
She decided she would just have a look around the place, just to get to know her surroundings. Opening the door, she peeked out and looked both ways to make sure no one was around. She then stepped out of her room, closing the door behind her before taking a left and heading down the halls.
Walking around for quite awhile, she didn't know where she was. She had gone and gotten herself lost in this huge place and she didn't want to yell for help, for she was afraid of angering the demon lord. Come to think of it, why had he brought her here?
"There you are wench! We have been looking all over for you; the brat wishes to play with you," said the toad demon who seemed to just pop out of nowhere.
"I have a name, toad!" said Kagome, as she glared at the ugly creature before her.
"You will address me as Jaken-sama!"
"In your dreams!" said Kagome as she started to walk in any direction.
She was quite glad when the toad had taken the lead and taken her to the garden where the little girl, Rin, played. As soon as the girl spotted her, she ran over and hugged her.
"I was waiting for you, Kagome-chan!" said the little girl as she let go of Kagome and danced around the garden.
Kagome looked on at the beautiful garden before here. The place was huge and filled with several types of plants and flowers, she hadn't seen anything like it before. It was neatly taken care of, there had been a great deal of thought and effort to making such a place. Kagome's eyes wandered back to the little girl who was now picking flowers from the garden, was the place made for her?
Kagome walked over to Rin and started picking flowers with her for what seemed like an eternity, until the little girl asked her a question.
"Kagome-chan, can you turn into a big demon like Sesshoumaru-sama can?"
Kagome looked down at the little girl puzzled and then remembered the events from last night. The demon that had been chasing her had the ability to turn her into a demon. She looked around for a stream, a pond, anything that would reflect her image.
She spotted a small lake in the middle of the garden and made her way over to it, to see how much she had changed. Upon arriving she looked down at the image before her. Nothing really changed, just her ears were pointed, she had fangs, her hair seemed longer, and her eyes were a bright blue instead of the sapphire they normally were.
'I-I'm a demon... '
A/N: So, it has been YEARS, I'm talking YEARS since I last updated this story. I have changed quite a few things and have left quite a few things in as well. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what this story was called and what my username/email was to this account. The mind of young teenager is a curious thing to say the least. My email and username are quite interesting now that I am here and have found the old password and the old email linked to this account. No idea how either of these are still active but I am grateful as it means I don't have to create another account or start this story from scratch.
I wouldn't know where to begin, as I mentioned above that I didn't even remember the name of the story. I just remembered the idea of it, and I thought to myself… I would like to finish that. So here I am, re-writing this story and hopefully adding more depth and detail to it all. I do realize that there is a new anime out with the children of Sesshoumaru and Inu Yasha, but I would like to continue this in the Sess/Kag-fandom world as they still make the most sense to me. Or maybe I'm just biased at this point, who knows?
Anyway! I hope you enjoyed the first chapter of the re-written story, Blood of A Demon.
