The door remained closed as Juvia carefully watched it, she earned a pitiful look from Levy and a sad small smile from Lucy. The short blunette registered the mood and opened her bento.

"Let's eat..." She said avoiding the awkward subject.

"Since they didn't come today, I guess that means they'll never come back." Lucy said munching on a school bought roll

"He probably caught a cold?" Levy tried

"If you uncover the truth you'll probably be in more pain," Juvia stared at her melon roll sadly, not in the mood to eat something that had no taste to her at the moment "Juvia if you don't eat well-"

The shy girl nods, cutting Lucy off and starting another silence between the girls. After a couple bites of her food she gave one more glance to the closed door than ate with no more thoughts. Nearing the end of lunch, the trio packed up and headed down the staircase. Juvia's eyes widened at the sight of a certain male and his friend, as her two friends continued Juvia slowed down her pace and turned towards Gray.

She stared at him, blushing slightly, catching the attention of Natsu he lets his mouth hang open and eyes grow big. Levy and Lucy reunite with Juvia and watch as Gray notices their presence. He blinks a couple times, than Levy smiles and gives a small wave. Gray bows, turns around, and started back to his class room. Juvia furrows her brow and watches as he gets farther from her view, Natsu catches whim of her expression and quickly turns around.

"G-Gray!" He shouts loudly, Natsu makes both Gray stop walking and Juvia stop her pained face. The raven haired boy turns only his head. "Ah... Um..." Natsu stutters unintelligently "that..."

Gray rolls his eyes and continues walking, Juvia blinks a couple times, blushing lightly. The pink haired male turns back to the girls and clenches his fists in excitement.

"Hitode-chan! I'll help both of you accomplish your love! If you need anyth-"

"Don't do anything unnecessary." Lucy remarks coldly, he pouts. Natsu runs back to Gray and leaves the three females.

Juvia walks down the hallway, her long blue hair seemingly sparkle in a train behind her. Her high colored lips shimmer without make up and eyes like the sea, she stood out like a sore thumb. But her head never left the schools tile floors.

The next day, Gray and Natsu ate lunch in the courtyard to the right of the school. They ate in a comfortable atmosphere, the pinkette attempting to make conversation, and it all whizzing by Gray.

"We should eat at the roof tomorrow," He stops eating, and Gray glances at Natsu

"Why?" He says monotonously

"Shouldn't I ask you 'Why don't we eat there'?" Natsu retorted. A familiar girls face appears by the side of Gray. The second year Ultear smiled lightly at the two.

"What are you two talking about?" She said cheerfully, Natsu stares at Ultear and feels a pang of guilt. She sits next to Gray and smiles so innocently

"Hey." Natsu stands up and looks back and forth between his friend and the girl that likes him "where's my phone!?" He had it so openly in his hand, catching the attention of both and Ultear points to it.

"It's in your hand."

"That's right I left it in the classroom!" Natsu turns around and starts walking "Sorry. I'll give you 10 minutes."

Ultear stands up and watches as he runs, she whispers a thank you underneath her breath. While Natsu only had the overflowing guilt for Juvia. Ultear sits back down and thinks about what to say, she taps her fingers on the brick wall they sat on.

"Do you want me to make a bento for you tomorrow?" She suggests

"Sure." Gray says with detached interest

"... It's nice eating outside, but I think it's better cause I'm eating it with you." Ultear says looking at her knees. Gray removes her from his vision and finds his mind thinking about Juvia eating on the rooftop, before he knew it he was looking at the roof. Quickly Gray looked at his feet, blushing. Ultear clenches her jaw and fights back her tears.

"Please stop thinking about that child." She turns to Gray and smiles lightly as his red deepens "even if I say this, you would still continue to think about her." Gray's eyes widen as all the images of Juvia appeared in his head, he bites his lip. "Though I still wish you'd stop thinking about her."

"Regardless of wether it's having lunch together or talking. It will soon be all smiles for the two. everyone's Hitode is slowly changing. I'm well aware I can't compare." Ultear thinks to herself as she gets in grip with reality.

Once again Gray looks up at the roof, but Ultear blocks his vision. She has strange and unwavering eyes, "... Please stop looking..." She clenches her fists "I like you, Gray-kun. I know that this love won't be fulfilled, I know the ending but why can't I give up? I also don't want to have this kind of love."

Ultear covers her face with a shaky hand "that kid, do you like her?" Gray stands up and looks at the roof, averts his eyes down to his feet and blushes due to Juvia.

"... I'm sorry" Ultear shows her crying face and hiccups "... Seeing a girl... Crying..."

"If you don't feel that way, stop being kind to me. Instead, go to another place,"
