Hi, it's me again. I know you most likely hate me. I have decided that I shall write longer chapters and update less. I just saw insurgent so… Enjoy~
He lead me up the stairs. We rose 4 floors to the top of the little building. There was a door at the top of the stairs. Where was this going?
Still Samantha PoV:
Leo opened the door, a cold gust of wind came to us. He stepped outside and pulled me with him. We were on the roof of the building. There was a small covering with some metal things under it, along with some wood. I realized this is where Leo did his inventing. He pulled me over to where there was a tiny love seat that was in the shade of the shack.
Leo reached under the tarp and pulled out a few pieces of wood. He laid them on the ground and lit them on fire. He reached into his tool belt and pulled out two thermoses. Leo gave one to me.
"It's hot chocolate.", he informed me as he sat beside me. Leo draped his arm around me. I tucked my feet up next to me and leaned into his chest. I watched the fire he made. This was perfect.
I looked up and found him staring at me. I murmured something like, "Hi." He murmured it back just before our lips met. I put one arm around his neck; my other was holding my hot chocolate. His arm that had been around me tightened. I felt a warmth spreading out in my body.
When we pulled back we rested our foreheads against each other's. You could see our breaths mixing in the frosty air. I laid my head back on his chest. Leo put his head on the top of mine. We stared at the fire for a while longer. He picked his arm off me to look at his watch. "Oh my gods. Sam up. We got to get back down stairs. Hurry!"
He took the mugs and put them in his belt and extinguished the flames. We ran and opened the door. I ran down the stairs with him on my trail. When we got back in Percy's apartment, no one was there. I was taking off my coat and shoes when Coach knocked on the door. Leo opened them. "Cupcakes, everyone still asleep?"
We both nodded. He turned and left. Leo and I breathed a sigh of relief. I put my shoes and sweater, and jacked by the door. I went into the kitchen. Leo followed.
"What are you doing, Sams?"
"Well, the others most likely won't wake up till about 5 so I thought I would cook me and you some lunch. What do you want?"
He pondered this. "Hamburgers." I went to the fridge and took out the ingredients. Leo sat on the counter watching me. I turned to him, "If you're just gonna stand there, at least you could help."
He hoped down off the counter and started patting out the meat for the meat. I made us some sweet tea. After about an hour the burgers were done.
Leo found us some plates and cups. I poured us some tea and let him build his own burger. I put ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and of course cheese. All Leo did was drown his in ketchup.
We went and sat on the couch. His back on one armrest, mine on the other. Our feet were intertwined.
We found a movie on the TV. It was called Pitch Perfect. I loved that movie so much. By the end of the movie, Leo was really into it and started singing along. I told him to shut up, that Percy and Annabeth were still asleep. After the movie was over we threw away our paper plates. I decided to Iris-Message my mom and let her meet Leo.
I grabbed a glass of water and did the same thing Percy taught me.
When my mom came up in the mist she was reading a book. "Hi, Mom!"
She looked startled. "Oh, hi. Samantha, how have you been?"
"I've been fine. Actually I wanted to tell you something."
"What is it sweetie?"
"Leo, come here.", I made Leo sit beside me so my mom could see him, "Mom, you remember Leo right?"
"Yes."
"Well, I'm his girlfriend. Don't worry about us. Percy has already threatened him."
"Oh, okay. And honey, are you and you're sister still coming down for spring break?"
"Yeah, and we are bringing about 10 people with us."
"Um…"
"I got to go, Mom. Talk to you later." I slashed my hand through the mist. I told Leo I wanted to go outside again. So we put on our jacket and went to tell Coach. I left a note for Percy-
Percy-
don't freak. I'm with Leo. We went for a walk around the building. I'll be back around 4 or 5. - Sam
Then we went to tell coach. When he opened the door the conversation went like this:
Us: Hi coach, we just wanted to let you know if you come to check on us we won't be there. We are going to just walk around the building, stretch our legs."
Him: Um, okay. No funny business.
Us: okay, bye coach.
We ran to the stairs after he closed the door. We raced to the top. I beat Leo with about 30 seconds. We went over and sat on the little loveseat. Leo pulled out the mugs of hot chocolate. I put my feet in his lap, but he wanted me closer. He pulled me so I was in his lap. "Well, hi, Fire Boy."
"Hello, Water Girl."
I winkled my nose, "Water Girl?"
"Yeah, like from the movie Sharkboy and Lavagirl. But it's the opposite. Your water and I'm fire. Fire Boy and Water Girl." I nodded. I knew now why he called me that. After about an hour it started to snow. I was looking at it. I had never seen it snow. I was from Florida! Leo sneaked a peck on my jaw. "You have never seen it snow?"
I shook my head sheepishly. He reached into his tool belt and pulled out an IPod and a portable speaker. He flipped on Say Something by Great Big World. It was one of my favorite songs ever. He placed it on the couch be side us and stood up with me in his arms.
"Dance with me?" I nodded and he sat me down on my feet. He put his hand on my waist and guided one of mine to his shoulder. Our other hands were clasped together tightly. "Uh, Leo, I can't dance." He just smiled. "I'll teach you. You better learn before prom. Piper will probably drag everyone there." I giggled. Then it was time to dance. I kept looking at our feet. He led perfectly. Showing me steps and spins. Once he picked me up and twirled me.
Before I knew it I didn't have to look at my feet. I looked at Leo's face. I don't know how long we were dancing but our hair was full of snow, our clothes were covered with it. We were really cold by 4:30. Leo and I climbed back to down to Percy's apartment. He and Annabeth were up. When we came through the door they ran up to us. Percy grabbed my shoulders. "Sam! Where have you been? You're covered in SNOW! LEO WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY SISTER!" Annabeth came up and put her arm around my brother. "Percy, calm down. I'm sure they were perfectly fine. They may have just opened a window and went to the fire escape. Stop freaking out!"
After that Percy finally calmed down. I drug Leo back out into the hall. I told him to go clean up and meet me in the girl's room when he was ready.
I left and went to take a warm shower. When I opened the door I was bombarded by the girls. They asked a lot of questions. I told them I would tell them after I took a shower. They followed me into my room and sat on the bed while I grabbed a pair of loose jeans and an AC-DC shirt from the closet. I went into the bathroom and took my shower and dressed. When I came out they drugged me over to my bed. They sat around me and command 'SPILL."
I told them that me and Leo went outside on the fire escape so I could see some snow. They bought it, thank gods.
Leo knocked on the door soon after. I went and opened it. He gave me a quick peek on the cheek. Piper squealed. "What can their ship name be? Leam? Seo?", she gushed. I just shook my head. I took Leo back over to Percy's to cook dinner.
"Hey, Percy. I'm gonna make dinner. Okay?"
"Okay, Sam. Make it blue." I sighed him and his blue food.
A Hour Later:
Everyone was having blue spaghetti in Percy's living room. I looked around the room. Leo and I were sitting at the coffee table. Hazel, Frank, and Nico were in the couch. Reyna was on the floor in front of Nico. Everyone else was scattered around the room.
I turned to Percy. "Percy?"
He turned to look at me. "Uh, my mom wants me and Elly to come home for spring break. She said all you guys could come. If you want to that is."
Everyone was looking at me. I felt my cheeks turn red. Percy looked towards everyone else. "What do you say? We could go to the beach and all that every day." Everyone agreed. "Good. Then I say we skip school that Friday before and just flash down there. Good?"
We all agreed.
Three days later:
(The snowstorm is over. It's the second day back at school.)
Leo and I had just got seated at lunch when Piper started gushing. "Okay, everyone is here. They have scheduled prom the Friday we were going to skip. WE CAN'T MISS PROM! We will go to Florida that Saturday morning. Deal?" Everyone agreed. "Good, now prom is a month and a half away. Girls we are going dress shopping. Boys you will be wearing what you wore to homecoming. Annabeth, you are no longer going last. You are going second to last from now on. Samantha is going last because she is Leo's, who is like a bother, girlfriend. She is my top priority." Annabeth breathed a sigh of relief.
I guessed going last was very nerve wracking. Hm.
The girls agreed that tomorrow (Saturday) we would go dress shopping. I would miss Leo, but he said he had to work on something top secret. Huh. I didn't really care as long as he still spent some time with me. Soon the day was over, and I was ready to sleep. Tomorrow I would find a dress.
Annabeth PoV:
I woke to the smell of eggs and bacon. When Percy and I went into the kitchen we found Sam, not Sally who we were expecting, making breakfast. I went up to her. "Are you going to do this every morning?"
She nodded. "Yes, I always cooked back home so I need to keep my skills sharp. Everyone else is already up and getting dressed, you two should get ready." I looked down at what she was wearing. Sam wore tight skinny jeans and a fitted cream sweater. She wore her weapons/accessories that Leo gave her. Her hair was down and it reached her butt with perfect curls. She was beautiful.
I went and pulled on a sweater and jeans and pulled my hair up into a ponytail. When I went back everyone was there and eating. Percy pointed to his plate. "She made my eggs blue!" I laughed. I sat at the place beside him. Piper pushed me a plate. "After we finish eating, we are going to go shopping. So, hurry up!"
All the girls were ready at 9:30. We went in Percy's car. When we got to the store Piper gave us the order in which we would be going in: Elly, Thalia, Hazel, Reyna, Her, Me, then Sam.
Elly came out first in a short black dress with a belt of blood red. She looked perfect. That was her dress.
Thalia came out in a black dress. No, not enough color. She then tried a long silver dress. It was strapless. It looked great on her. That was her,
Hazel found a brown dress that came to her knees that flared out. It had a bow on the back. YEP!
Reyna came out in a plum mini dress. She told us that she didn't care what we thought. She got that dress.
Piper ran in and came back out in a short dress that came to mid-thigh. It was an eclectic blue. Just like Jason's eyes. Great now it's my turn…
I came out in a white dress first. Piper said it looked like my homecoming dress. "GO TRY THE ONE I GAVE YOU!", she called as I turned around. Her pick was a gray long dress that was very pretty. I ended up with that dress. On to Sam…
Samantha PoV:
I went into the dressing room slowly. I didn't know what to choose so Piper, of course, helped me choose some things. The first dress was a green dress. I walked out and turned back around only saying that it 'looked like throw up.' The next one was pretty. It was a short blue dress that was sequined. Uh….
The final one was a long navy blue dress. It was strapless. The top had a sweet heart neck line. It had an a-line shape with a natural waist to it. The bottom was lairs of soft fabric. As soon as I walked out all the girls swarmed towards me. It was perfect. I ended up with it.
On the way home Piper sat beside me talking about how to do my hair and make-up. I was nervous. I usually didn't wear a lot of make-up, but I guess I could compromise.
When I got home I went to prepare dinner with Sally. She simply loved the help. Tonight we were making pizza, blue pizza that is. After everyone was done we went our separate ways and went to prepare for bed. I went and took a shower and slipped into a pair of fleece pajama pants and a baggy t-shirt. I braided my hair into a long French braid. I climbed into my bed and was soon asleep.
Over the next few weeks at school, my ADHA seemed to get worse. I was always moving or fidgeting. I guess I was excited about prom or something.
Prom was two days away so I started to pack. I put in my pajamas, shorts, tank tops. I mean it was like 90 degrees down there during April. I told the others to pack similarly and to bring their swimsuits. I was having a hard time think about being in the same house as my mom again. I mean Sally was like a mom, but she wasn't mine.
The day of prom everyone got released an hour earlier. I walked down to Percy's car and waited with Leo for the others. When we got home Piper forced all the girls into her room to get ready. I told her I was going to take a shower first.
When I got out I dried myself off with my awesome powers. When I entered her room, Elly's make-up and hair were done as well as Reyna's. Both had their hair straightened and had on red lipstick and dark eye shadow.
Thalia was getting her hair curled and her eyes lined in black. That was the only make up she wore. She bangs were pulled back into silver clips.
After Thalia, Hazel sat in the chair and had her curly hair pulled back in a bun. Some short stands escaped and framed her face. The only make-up Hazel wore was a light pink lip-gloss. Piper than straightened her hair and pulled her bangs back in a blue sapphire clip. She dusted her eyes with a white eye-shadow and lined them on the top lash line. She wore a pink lip stick.
Annabeth sat down and had her curls tamed. She didn't put on any make-up. Why would she? She was the prettiest (besides Piper) out of all of us. I didn't hear Piper calling my name until Elly came and slapped me, "Ow, what was that for?"
She gave a sigh, "It's your turn." I went and sat in the chair. Piper kept styling my hair in different ways. Finally she decided that my bangs would be pulled back into a clip that had diamonds (Thank you, Hazel) in it. The hair added more volume to the back of my head.
Piper put foundation on my face. She lined my eyes with black eyeliner and put on a shimmering navy blue eye-shadow. Piper washed my cheeks in pink as well as my lips. Then it was time to get dressed.
I was going to end it here, but…
I slipped out of the shorts and sweat shirt I had been wearing. I stepped into my dress and pulled it up. Annabeth came over and helped my zip it. When I turned around I said thank you. After Piper had her dress one she ran to her room and told us to follow. When I arrived, she was pulling out 8 boxes of what I guess where shoes. She turned to me and the other girls. "I have been working on these since we found the dresses."
She gave each girl a pair of shoes. Elly got blood red pumps. Reyna got some plum heels. Piper gave herself some sparkly gold pumps that had a peep toe. Hazel received a pair of brown kitten heels. Annabeth's were gray and had a 5 inch heel. Piper then pulled out mine. "Sam, I made you a pair of navy flats. You are a great height for Leo and I didn't want to interfere so, here." I took the shoes and said my thanks and slipped them on. The flats were comfy. Then the boys knocked on the door.
Percy PoV:
When the girls exited the room I heard all the boys' jaws drop, mine included. All of them looked great, especially Sam, but Annabeth was the prettiest. Nico and Reyna had a quick make-put session and then we were off.
When we were getting out, Sam tripped on her dress and fell into Jason. He caught her and straightened her up. "Whoa, careful." She murmured her thanks to Jason and went to stand by Leo, who took her hand and whispered something in her ear. She blushed. I noticed that Sam looked nervous about something. I went over to talk to her. She motioned for Leo to go on ahead. "Sam, are you okay?"
She nodded then shook her head. "No, I mean, I don't know. I can't dance. Leo tried to teach me and I got really good, it's just I scared I'm going to fall or something."
I put my hands on her shoulders, and looked her in the eye. "Sam, you'll be fine. Now, let's go blow some people's minds." She laughed. I threw my arm around her and walked her to Leo who took her hand. For the first time tonight I noticed Leo was wearing his classic suspenders. Wow, just wow. That's classic Leo for you. When we walked in the doors I held my arm out to Annabeth, "Madam, may I escort you?" She punched me in the arm, but she took my arm, "Of course, Mister Seaweed Brain."
"Watch it, Mademoiselle Wise Girl." She glared at me. I laughed. I noticed that the other boys followed my example and took their girl friends' arm. When all walked down the stairs I swear I heard some people's jaws drop. When we got to the bottom it was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. There was a slow song playing in the background. I asked Annabeth to dance, we swayed on the dance floor, so some mortals joined in half heartedly. Then the drama began.
I heard Piper gasp. I stopped dancing and turned to see what was going on. Chelsea was talking to my sister and no doughtily said something really mean. I walked over and saw Leo had Sam half way behind him. "-ever say that again, you will be sorry."
I turned to Piper. "Pipes, what happened?"
She looked at me with a horrified expression on her face. "Chelsea said that the only reason that Leo went out with Sam was because he felt sorry for her, and that you had threatened Leo that if he didn't date her that you would kill him." Then I hear a noise.
Annabeth who had been behind me, had slapped Chelsea right across the face. If a look could kill Chelsea would have been in the underworld. "How dare you say that to her! Leo loves her, so shut your mouth before you say something else you WILL regret", Annabeth growled. I turned to Leo and leaned in a whispered. "Leave. Go outside and flash you and Sam home. NOW!"
He turned and led Samantha outside. We left about 30 minutes later and when I entered my apartment I found Leo and Sam on the couch in their pajamas. Sam was on Leo's lap crying. Her face was buried in his chest. When he saw me, he leaned down and whispered something to her. Leo picked her up and carried her to the girls' room. He nodded at us as they passed. It was only 8 but we all need to get some sleep. Tomorrow we all went to Florida.
Okay, here is the chapter. Sorry but I wanted to write a long chapter. Expect another update by Wednesday. I am casting a vote. Review and tell me what you want to happen.
