This is not the climax, not the last chapter. I have a lot planned and this is only the beginning!
Previously: A bunch of boys cornered Juvia and asked her out. After many head shaking, Gray finally stepped up and asked her out himself!
There was a moment of silence, like everyone was processing the words that escaped his mouth. They stared in utmost shock and bewilderment, then everyone exploded in conversation Juvia clenched on to her notebook and stared at him, his stare not faltering either.
She nodded. A blush dusting her cheeks in joy, all the overseers went white eyed and a couple fell to the floor in shock. Even with a crowd of people, the two could find each other and now Juvia had to do everything in her power not to smile.
"Please..." She bows to him politely "take care... Of me..."
A tornado of angry guys swept through, accusing Gray of tricking her. After a minute or so of accusations and yelling, a teacher tore down their destruction and sent them to class. The bell rang when they finally sat down and no matter how hard the two tried, they couldn't focus on the lecture.
"From now on... We are boyfriend and girlfriend..."
That day was the best day for Juvia, despite the amount of trouble caused by her peers. The girls found themselves talking to her and asking a lot of questions, sometimes cornering her. One even wanted her to reenact everything, Lucy saved her quickly though. The boys were on their a-game, every time the two tried to look at each other. A couple guys would form a blockade.
Gray had the most trouble, not that he cared terribly. Guys constantly talked amongst them selves and accused Gray of tricking her, and called him average along with other things. Natsu was exhausted by the end of the day, and expressed himself after a late practice of Karate.
"So tired... SO TIRED!" He sighed loudly and looked at his best friend. "You dating Juvia became a big deal. You don't have to worry though, you can overcome anything."
As the two boys were about to walk past the cafe, Juvia swung open the door and made both of them jump. Lucy and Levy were next and Gray looked over at Natsu.
"It's not Wednesday, is it!?" He said in confusion, the pink haired boy scoffed.
"She's been waiting for you... And it's Friday..." Gray looked back at her and Juvia stepped forward.
"Sorry... I didn't mean for it to become a huge thing..." Gray was notably nervous, but Juvia shook her head.
"It's a huge thing for Gray and Juvia!" Levy said, stumbling in between them, a smile wider than usual. "Congratulations!"
"Oh yeah!" Natsu slapped the back of his best friends head "Congrats!"
"Don't make Juvia cry," Lucy pulled her gaze away from the boys and looked at her life long friend "but... Well, congratulations. The real thing starts now,"
"Come on!" Levy took the two by their arm and dragged them away. "You couples need be alone!"
They nodded and began to walk home together, making Natsu groan and throw his hands up in anger.
"I want a girlfriend!" He yelled, Lucy looked at him than quickly averted it, hiding her blush and puckered lips.
"Walk me home..." She walked away quickly before Natsu could process her words, much less catch what she said.
"Let me walk you home!" He said, chasing after her.
"Idiot!" Lucy said, smiling lightly.
Levy grinned and muttered something about love being in the air, before retreating to her job. She barely got back to work before a familiar pierced guy entered. Levy turned to him, shocked but a gentle smile formed on her lips. She walked over to him and leaned down slightly, letting him see her loving face.
"Welcome,"
Juvia looked up at the sky as she trotted next to her new boyfriend. The two would look at each other but soon advert away, too embarrassed to say anything. They turned onto her street, still not saying a word.
"Even if we don't know... What dating is... It'll be okay because..." Her eyes closed and she smiled lightly. "This is the same road home, the same pace... And it feels..."
"Special. This feels special above all... And it is a different kind of feeling then in the past..."
Juvia stopped and opened her eyes, staring at him as he walked quietly. His neck that she sees more than anything, cause she was always watching him. And always wondered if he was watching her too, then he stopped and turned to the still girl. Her hair blowing in the wind, and the city lights streaking in the gaps. He was about to talk, but a small smile interrupted him.
And there she stood, the lights illuminating her and the sweetest smile on her face. He couldn't help but return it.
"About dating..." He said lightly, as if it was a secret, "I still don't really understand, but... UM!" Gray yelled and scared Juvia, a small jump proving her terror.
He bowed slightly as an apology and she nodded, understanding his nervousness,
"This Sunday, do you want to go somewhere?"
Juvia blinked in shock, and blushed. "... Date?" She asked, only to receive a nod in response.
