Had a lot of fun with this one and because I was watching Blue Bloods this week, (Thank you so much for that, you know who you are,) I had to bring Danny and Jackie in on this. So we have to start wraping this up if were going to get to the fun stuff so here we go, the beginning of the end.

Z edited but the mistakes are mine and you can't have them.

Rick sat at Kate's desk going over the latest homicide that they were able to tie to the three killers when Kate and Jane walked in after three days down in Philadelphia. They were looking dejected as he stood up to greet his beautiful detective.

"Hey," he said as she slipped her arms around him, "How was Philadelphia?"

Jane snorted and threw her riding jacket down on her chair, "A complete waste of time." She griped angrily. "Got a small handful of people who think they saw her but nothing substantial."

Kate let go of Rick and kissed him lightly before she slid into her chair with a soft moan, "All we know for sure is that she checked in to short term parking about once a month, she was there for less than half an hour and then she came back. Since she died there's been no similar activity at the airport."

"And to top off our lousy trip down south, we ran into DEA agent Beltran." Jane bitched loudly.

Rick scowled at her, "The fed with the creepy eyes?"

"That's the one." She grumbled, "Anything new up here?"

"We've got a new body." Ryan said as he got up from his desk with a notepad. "A gift from the Arsonist and brace yourself, it's a cop, Jeremy Walsh from Narcotics. He was under investigation from IAB for taking bribes from dealers."

Jane blew out a hearty breath, "So now the whole force is looking into these killings."

Rick pointed at a picture. "Major Case is leading this one."

"Call down the grapevine is that the Commissioner wants this guy found yesterday." Ryan said seriously.

Espo leaned back, "Word has it Danny Reagan is lead and he wants blood. Dirty or not, he's still a cop."

Castle shifted slightly, "And if that wasn't enough, the MO changed. Walsh was burned alive but the Arsonist took his badge off of him covered it in Walsh's blood and left it standing neatly next to the body. Good news is we we're first on scene and so was our support."

"Forensics?" Kate asked. "CSU or the ME come up with anything on this?"

"Lanie found a few drops of blood that didn't match our victim, CSU is running DNA and we're waiting to hear back."

"That's unusual." Jane said, "The Triple Threat is meticulous about not leaving anything for forensics to find."

Ryan got a smirk on his face, "Meticulous?"

Jane leveled a glare that made the detective take a step back, "You trying to say something Ryan?"

"Just wondering how good you are at Scrabble." He said nervously.

"I can kick your ass." She said with a smile. "Physically and elocutionaly."

"Elocutionaly is not a real word." Kate said with a grin, "I'll talk to Maura about updating your elocutionary lexicon." She turned back to Castle, ignoring Jane's look of false annoyance. "Crime scene?"

"Another empty warehouse on Industrial." He said.

"Property manager came to show the warehouse to a company rep from Excel Stocking Solutions." Kevin flipped through his notes, "They came in, the rep started screaming, property manager called the police."

"I take it the backgrounds came back like all of the others?" Jane said to Ryan.

"All clean with a long standing legitimate business." He said, "The only funny thing about it was that the property manager was previously arrested for letting raves go on in some of the warehouses for profit, no convictions."

"He didn't call 911, he called the 16th directly." Esposito added.

Kate stared at him, "Why the 16th?"

"He was busted on the raves by your good buddies Benson and Stabler a couple of years ago. He cooperated and the DA cut him loose."

Jane looked to Kate, "You think Liv might have something she can shine some light on for us?"

"I talked to a Detective Tutuola over there at SVU," Javi sat down on the edge of his desk, "A teenage girl reported being raped at a rave on Riverside. Tutuola said that the manager rolled over on a rave circuit involving ecstasy dealers and underage prostitutes, the number of convictions prompted ADA Cabot to cut him an immunity deal with the condition that all charges will be indicted if he does it again. He's been clean ever since."

"How do we know that?" Jane asked.

"Because six months ago he was approached for a rave and he helped set up a sting for SVU and Narcotics." Ryan said plainly, "He could have taken the money but he called SVU and turned it in. Tutuola said that he keeps an eye on the guy and he's been clean ever since."

"Liv said that Fin has a large CI base." Jane said to Kate, "He probably has dealers keeping an eye on him."

"Dealers?" Esposito sounded shocked.

"Tutuola comes from Narcotics," Jane said as she flipped through her mail, "Since no one's ever died from a Mary Jane overdose, he tends to let the Marijuana dealers go if they cooperate with him."

"And comes down hard on other drugs." Kate added. "Fin Tutuola is hell on the street."

"Drugs are drugs," Ryan said offended. "Doesn't matter if its heroin, crack, or weed."

"The detective has a point," Espo said as his phone started ringing, "I don't remember the last time I had to take a statement from a vic ODing on pot."

"That's because it hasn't happened yet." Castle said. "A person will die of smoke inhalation long before they can OD on marijuana."

"Regardless of our interpretations of the dangers of marijuana, what do you say we stay on point here?" Kate said sharply. "The bottom line is that the discovery is clean and aside from a few drops of blood, the crime scene is clean. Major Case is going to be crawling all over our investigation and what I know about our commissioner's oldest, is that he doesn't like to play nice with suspects or other units."

"God I hope that blood comes back with a suspect attached to it." Jane said.

Esposito closed his phone, "Wish granted; Lanie just got the DNA results back."

"And?" Kate eagerly prompted.

"What do you know?" He grinned, "It's our old friend, Alonzo Torrez."

"Where's Torrez now?" Kate said as she stood up and slid her arms into her Jacket.

Ryan picked up a notebook off his desk after shrugging on his blazer. "Address is Central Park South so we should be there in about ten minutes."

Jane jumped out of her chair, "Let's go get him."

"Homicide frequencies only, Channel 12." Kate barked as they rushed out. "Keep it out of dispatch's ear."

Alonzo couldn't remember the last time he had run so fast. It wasn't just the two cops behind him. It was the thought of what she'd do to him if he got caught. Since the cops were already on him, he knew his life was over anyway. His only hope now was to escape. Disappear somewhere in central park and get out of the U.S. altogether.

Central park was the only place where he had a chance. What he hadn't expected was how fast those two female cops were. The three of them had left the three men who were with them a while ago but those two bitches were still behind him.

"Stop making me run, Torrez!" The dark one shouted.

He felt a chill run down his spine from the sound of her voice and adrenaline pushed him faster. He left the bike path and slid through a patch of trees, knowing that the trail picked up on the other side. Then it was a left and through the tunnel. He leapt over the wrought iron fence, figuring that would slow them down. It didn't.

Jane dove head first over it and landed on the path in a combat roll. She was back on her feet in the blink of an eye while Kate took an extra second to get over it. Kate yanked the radio out of her pocket. "Heading north on Central Park Drive near Columbus, still in pursuit."

She kept the radio in her left hand as Jane kept the lead on her. Torrez could run, Kate would give him that. But she knew that Jane would black out before she gave up.

Ryan called out, "Mounted units on the way. Foot and Bicycle patrols also converging."

Alonzo ran through the tunnel and suddenly cut right. He climbed the hill like a madman to reach the bridge.

Jane screeched to a halt and climbed after him. Her hands dug in to the soft lawn for added grip as Torrez climbed over the rail and took off to the right.

Jane grabbed the rail and yanked herself over. She landed on her feet and took off after him; her only thought was how she was going to slam his face into the ground, her reward for when she would catch him.

"Jane, report location!" Kate called out on the radio.

She yanked the radio from her belt and shouted, "East path of Center towards Beethoven, went over the tunnel."

"The only way onto East from Columbus is to climb." Ryan shouted in disbelief.

"This is Beckett, close off sector 4; I want a full perimeter, even through the trees."

Jane shifted the radio to her right hand, wishing she had a shoulder mike as she chased after Torrez but she was getting tired. The only good side was that he was getting tired too, which fortified her resolve, even more so when he ran into a woman with a stroller.

She slowed down as he got near the woman who was snatching the baby out of the tipped over stroller.

"You okay?" She shouted as she caught sight of Esposito coming up behind her.

She held the crying child to her chest and the woman pointed, "Get that motherfucker! He knocked over my baby!"

Javi called out to her, "I got it Jane!"

Jane nodded and hauled ass after Torrez. Her radio crackled with Javi's voice. "He just slammed into a woman and her kid on the Bow Bridge. Get an EMT over here to check them out."

"Espo, where's Jane?"

"North of my position, and pissed off!"

Javi wasn't kidding. The only thing that pissed of Jane more than somebody trying to hurt her Maura, was when a kid got hurt. Her body which had been aching in protest, was now flooded with an icy cold reserve and all of her anger and hatred fueled her. She was going to catch this guy. It had joined the pursuit. The darkness she held deep inside was out and Jane was shocked because It had no lethal intent. It needed to be used.

As she ran and that moment took her, a realization came to her about It. She didn't have time to consider the revelation but she filed it away in her mind. Her cold black eyes watched him shoulder into a bicyclist sending him careening into a light post. Jane's careful eyes registered that he had no obviously broken bones.

Her voice was emotionless as she called into her radio. "Suspect ran a cyclist into lamp post 271, near Azalea Pond. No obvious injury, send EMT to that location. Still in pursuit."

"Jane." Beckett said, "Location."

"Between Azalea Pond and 79th Traverse. Closing in on suspect."

"Capture only," she called out, "Do not engage."

"I got it, partner." She said, "Don't worry."

A change in his movements alerted Jane that he was going to do something an instant before he did it. He stopped next to a railing and leaped over it. It was a small cliff, only about eight feet in height with an asphalt trail below it. Jane didn't even flinch as she grabbed the rail and swung herself over it. As she passed over the top and positioned her body for the landing she caught sight of Ryan running towards her from the opposite direction on the upper path. Alonzo Torrez passed right beneath her as gravity pulled her. Although she had no chance of landing on him, she did notice the slight limp from his right ankle.

She came down hard, inertia built up far too high to simply stop so she rolled once on impact to her side and landed on her feet again. Spinning off of the excess momentum.

"I just saw Jane jump over the ledge near the Ramble, she didn't even stop!"

"Jane, I'm thirty yards behind you!" Kate called out.

Her cold voice resonated through the radio. "Copy."

His ankle killing him from that Jump, Alonzo started across the grass, desperate to get to the trees on the other side of the field. He only had a few more yards to go when something slammed into his back. The pain was intense as he slammed into the grass, face first, he felt something crack and he gasped in agony as he slid on his momentum six feet with the weight on his back.

Jane rode him like a surfboard until he came to a stop. She jerked his arms back and cuffed him.

"Alonzo Torrez, You are under arrest for the murder of Detective Jeremy Walsh." Her voice was completely devoid of any emotion. "You have the right to remain silent…"

Kate caught up to them and as Jane Mirandized him, her voice changed back from cold to heated, angry.

"Do you understand these rights?" She shouted. "Now when a cop tells you to stop running, fucking stop running!" She smacked him in the back of the head. "Fucking prick makes me run five miles in the park. My girlfriend doesn't make me run five miles!" Jane grabbed one arm and Kate took the other as they hauled him up onto his feet. "She certainly doesn't make me jump fences, leap over cliffs, dodge people, and climb rock faces. You've got some nerve, what exactly was that entire run about anyway? Are you trying to tell me something?"

Kate shook her head, "Torrez, you'd have been better off if you had called her fat. Only thing that will make her happy now is a confession."

"I think I broke something," he groaned, "She fell on me and I heard something crack."

"Fell on you?" Jane snarled angrily, "I tackled your sorry ass like I was in the fucking Super Bowl! Making me run for twenty minutes like that!"

Kate had never heard Jane chew out a suspect like that and she was trying desperately not to laugh her ass off as they marched him towards the car.

Ryan caught up with them first, then Esposito. And Castle brought the car around to the 79th Street Traverse entrance. Kate would have bitched at him for driving an unmarked but the sooner they got Torrez in the back of the car the better. She didn't even mind that much when he turned on the lights and pulled up onto the curb.

Espo swapped seats with Castle and Ryan got in the other side, Jane finally shut up as the car pulled away.

She smiled as she looked at her partner's irritated expression. "Too much?" She asked innocently.

Kate shook her head, "Two more minutes and I would have confessed just to shut you up."

Jane snickered and patted her partner on the back, "We got the bastard."

Grumbling, Kate sat down on a bus stop bench, "Twenty minutes, I've never heard of a foot chase that lasted twenty minutes."

Jane plopped down beside her. "Whew. I'm whipped."

Castle beamed, "Why are you whipped?"

She scowled at him ominously, "You were in the car. Didn't you hear the radio?"

Kate nodded and smirked lightly, "Jane was on his ass the whole time. She left us all behind."

"Son of a bitch can run, I'll give him that." Jane uttered as she stretched her legs out. "That's the guy we should have sent to the Olympics last year. Jeez."

Castle grinned, "Are you saying he almost got away?" He didn't get a chance to bait her like this often.

Jane blew him a raspberry, "As if." She barked in that cocky manner only she could do.

Kate laughed as Castle joined them on the bench.

"So are we taking the bus back to the 12th?" Castle joked.

"Waiting for the van." Kate said. "Jane broke her radio."

"It was between me and Speedy Gonzales when I threw his ass on the ground." Jane defended, "I can't help that those things are cheap."

"Yep," Kate sneered, "He's going to have Motorola tattooed on his back for a couple of hours."

"He's lucky he doesn't have Ariatt tattooed on his ass." Jane thought about that for a minute. "On second thought, give it time. It's only three in the afternoon."

Kate looked down at Jane's feet. "Those aren't the same boots I bought you five years ago are they?"

Her partner suddenly got real sheepish, "Um, they still feel good."

Kate shook her head, "Oh hell, I guess I better buy you some more this year."

Jane smiled, "One more week."

Castle nodded, "Springfield. I really wish I could go with you girls."

"No civilians," They said together as the white NYPD van turned the corner and came to a stop in front of them.

Detective Danny Reagan was pissed off as he parked the car right in front of the 12th Precinct. His partner, Detective Jackie Curatola climbed out of the dark blue impala first.

Lean and curvy, with flowing dirty blonde hair she caught her partner's muscular arm, "Going in there with guns blazing isn't going to make this easier."

Well built without being bulky, he narrowed his hazel eyes at her, "Don't start this again, Jackie. This is our case. These people caught a cop killer and neglected to tell us that they had our guy."

She followed him as she stormed through the lobby door, "DNA put him at the scene. That doesn't mean he's our guy."

Reagan flashed his badge at the lobby guard as they walked right past him to the elevator. "DNA put him at the scene. That means he goes with us, period."

Knowing that there wasn't much she could do to reason with him right now, she stood with her partner. "Doesn't mean you have to go all badass on some detective inside their own precinct."

"C'mon, Jackie." He barked, "You called the ME for an update, she gave you a name. We run it and find out that there was a foot chase and that our suspect is stewing in the 12th's interview room for the last two hours. The call went out two days ago that we're the lead on this."

The elevator doors opened, revealing a hallway next to a busy bull pen. Danny marched into the bullpen with Jackie right behind him.

While Torrez was cooling his heels in the interview room, Jane and Kate went over the recent information that Castle, Ryan and Esposito dug up while they were in Philly. It was just passed five o'clock and Jane was getting antsy.

Castle sat down in a chair and grinned, "Ryan just phoned in. They got knives and gas cans inside a van parked in Torrez building. CSU is taking it all apart but there were several mementos from a few of our victims. CSU is going to run tests but it looks like Torrez might be our guy."

Jane looked up at him but she didn't like his tone. "You're not buying it?"

"It's too neat." He said, "Up until now, all three of our killers have been very careful not to leave any evidence behind. The most recent scene had three drops of blood that conveniently pointed out Torrez. A search warrant executed on his home, not a front, not an obscure location, reveals a van with all the necessary evidence to try and convict him."

Jane groaned as she tossed her pen into the cup on her desk, "I hate it when you make sense."

Kate bowed her head, "He's being framed."

"Best way to get NYPD to stop chasing you, kill a cop and tie it on a patsy." Jane said.

"Then let's go find out why the Kingpin set up Torrez for the drugs, then set him up to fall."

Jane nodded, "Let's go get some answers."

They made it as far as the interrogation room when they were stopped by an angry man and his female partner. Standing only a few inches taller than Jane, he was well built and cut a handsome image in his upper end suit but he looked oddly familiar. His fierce eyes and receding dark hair brought an image of Joey Grant to her mind. She reexamined him and found a lot of similarities but this wasn't Joey.

"We're her to take Alonzo Torrez into custody."

Jane snorted at him, "Sorry, pal. He's already in custody."

"Not even an introduction?" Castle added from behind her.

"Detective Reagan, Major Case," he ground his teeth at them, "My partner, Detective Curatola. The Walsh case is ours and you have our prime suspect."

Jane looked over at her partner who was standing with arms crossed over her chest and her hip cocked in agitation.

"Torrez is my collar," Jane said harshly, "You can have him after I'm done with him."

Reagan's head started to take on a red hue as he narrowed his eyes. "That's not how it works Detective. My case, my suspect, my priority. This sonuvabitch killed a cop."

As Jane's eyes darkened Kate stepped in, "He has information about the Triple Threat Killers and," Kate jabbed a finger at the door they were heading to, "He's not leaving that room until we have our answers. Our case is bigger so we get priority."

"Your case is four months old!" he bellowed, "And CSU reported that they have everything to tie him to those murders."

"It's a frame job." Castle alleged, "We can verify his location on one of the Blood Rose kills, two on the Arsonist and another one on the Butcher. He knows who these people are but he's not one of the Triple Threat."

Reagan looked up at the tall man with the well-tailored and expensive suit. His blue eyes revealed an intelligence that wasn't hardened by a life of police work.

Jackie let her eyes wander over him, "You gave us a hard time about introductions, so who the hell are you?"

Still irritated at Reagan, Kate eyed the woman. Slim, curvy and sexy with flowing copper blonde hair and brown eyes that were so light they were almost sand-colored. But Kate could tell that this was a tough bitch, Had Jane still been single, Kate would have ran her past Liv's gaydar before trying to hook them up. Not that Curatola looked gay but Kate had been wrong before. Look at Jane.

That was an odd thought. Kate shook her head as Jane spoke up. "Castle is a consultant, I'm Detective Rizzoli and the woman next to me is my partner, Sergeant Beckett."

"You're 'Painkiller' Jane Rizzoli?" Curatola's eyes took in the dark haired Boston woman. "I heard that you were bigger."

"Big enough to throw you and your partner around at the same time, sistah." She growled in her best Southey.

Jackie raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms at the boast. "That's an ass whipping I might have to take you up on,"

"Well while you two are measuring bra sizes," Kate said impatiently, "I have a suspect to interrogate."

"You have a suspect you're turning over." Danny demanded.

"Turning over on his boss is more accurate." Kate corrected, "You want him on the cop killing, that's fine. I've got no beef against you doing your job but you will not do it at the expense of mine. You will wait until I'm done with him and not even your daddy is going to stop me from interrogating Torrez. You can have him when I'm done."

Jane turned wide eyed at her partner. Kate was always the rational one. The fact that she had just barked at him and brought the Commissioner into it was almost career suicide as it was the next best thing to insubordination.

Unless Kate had taken the job he had offered her.

She looked up at Castle to see an equally surprised expression.

Having said all that she'd intended to, Kate walked right past him and stormed into the interrogation room. Jane followed more out of habit since she was still shocked by Kate's words.

Curatola couldn't believe what had just happened and neither could Reagan. He had seen his fair share of brazen cops but the balls Beckett had just shown floored him. He couldn't remember the last time someone was stupid enough to call out the Commissioner. Most people figured that talking to Danny was talking to Frank Reagan with a delay on the response.

Castle patted him on the shoulder, "You'd better get a look at what's going on before they turn him over. So you know what was already answered."

He nodded as they went in to the observation room.

Reagan and Curatola walked Torrez to the car with Beckett and Rizzoli right behind them. It wasn't often that Danny was impressed with other officers but today he had been as they'd worked over Torrez and gotten the information. They painted a very vivid picture of what would happen if they cut him loose with a drop in the news about a witness who came forward on the Triple Threat. He hadn't needed a lot of prompting after that. Torrez provided his whereabouts on all but three scenes where he was present. The mystery of the Triple Threat was revealed as one person pulling strings on a crew and they even had a name to hang on their Kingpin.

"The Raven."

Torrez had never met the Raven but always dealt with one of her lieutenants though he was sure that when the shock collar cut up Morgan and Humphreys, the Cartel leader was standing on a catwalk above them, watching. They also knew that the Raven was a woman who held a grudge of some kind against a DEA agent that Jane was certain had to be Beltran. Though she could be biased because she didn't like the woman.

"Detectives," he said definitely more relaxed once Torrez was in the back of the car, "Nice work in there."

Jane snorted cockily. "Next time, just let us do our thing and we could have gotten you out of here a lot faster."

Jackie laughed at the tone, "You really are a hard ass, aren't you."

"I'm a Boston Italian," She smirked, "We're a tough breed."

"Try being a Latina from the Bronx." Jackie laughed as she got in the car.

Reagan looked over the roof at Beckett, "I gotta say, Beckett. It's been a surprise watching you tear this guy up."

"Don't let him get loose." Kate said, "He runs like a cheetah."

"Yeah about that…" He leaned his elbows on the roof, "I heard that one of your boys was all over him the whole chase. Who was it?"

Jane rolled her eyes and headed back inside.

"That would be my partner." Kate said, jerking a thumb at the retreating brunette. "She ran him down."

He nodded, "How'd you pin him in?"

"We couldn't." she said with a slight smile, "He was all over the place and we couldn't get people in place fast enough. She was on him from the time he ran out of the building until she tackled him right next to the 79th Street Traverse."

A lopsided grin and a shake of the head, "running 'em down in Central Park is rough, where' you pick him up at?"

Kate smiled with pride for her partner, "56th and Eighth." She said before she walked back to the lobby.

Reagan plopped down in the driver's seat and shook his head, "Rizzoli started the case from 58th and Eighth. Never lost sight of him."

Jackie blew out a huff of air, "Just thinking about that makes me tired."

"No kiddin'," Danny replied. He looked over his shoulder at Torrez. "Have a nice run in the park? Can't believe you let a girl run you down."

"That ain't no girl, that's a dyke." He replied.

Jackie looked over her shoulder with a nefarious look, "Think I should call Rizzoli and tell her he said that before we leave?"

Danny grinned as she straightened up and started the car, "Don't think that would hurt her feelings all that much."

She looked at him, "Why's that?"

"Cause she was checking out your ass the whole ride down to the lobby, not mine." He said with a lopsided grin.

"Shut up!" She shouted, "She was not!"

Danny nodded, his grin getting wider, "She was too. Can't blame her though, those pants do show off your backside." He glanced at her lap and back to the road.

"Great, now I have women ogling me on the job." Jackie grumbled.

Danny smiled evilly, "I can give her a call, tell her you'd like a date."

He laughed as she punched him hard in the shoulder, "Knock it off, Danny."

Okay, that was a blast to write. My Muse stopped in this week to check on me and I begged her to stay. She gave me two ideas that I have been working out. Look for one in the SVU section and also another one in R&I, My Muse said she'll help me but only if I do what she says so things are going to slow down on the updates and the two that I mentioned are shorts that I can't post until completed so look there in a couple of weeks. Please review because that's the only way i'll get any better at this.
