A/N: I am so excited for this chapter. You have no idea. I think it shows Calesta really coming into her own. And it shows a bit of wand work which was so fun to write. It isn't a lot since they are at school and NOT fighting Dark Wizards, but it is still pretty cool. And my effects of spells come from the Lexicon. I ignore most of the movie spells since most of them are wrong. But here is another chapter. Two in as many weeks! Exciting!

And thank you Guest for casting your opinion. I have been thinking of it. I even started a list of the boys in her little world. I am putting pros and cons. And you are right, I have written Scorpius as more of a brother figure. And in my life I have found that sometimes you have a crush on someone and then hanging out with them, you realize that you adore them as a sister/brother and not a person to date. I actually like that their relationship has morphed into something like that.

Oh Schieße! - Oh shit!

Happy reading!

Impromptu Duels

It took a week for my parents to FINALLY answer me, but the wait was worthwhile.

Dear Calesta,

We met with the Potters; such wonderful people. They explained to us exactly how the holiday would play out. They explained where you would be. Mrs. Potter even told us who you would be around. Merlin help you girl! Their family sounds like a handful!

Now, more to the point, your Vader and I felt confident that you will not only be safe (Harry is only the Savior of the Wizarding World!), but you will be comfortable. You have our blessing to spend Christmas with your friends. I know it is not the most ideal, but you seem to be in capable hands.

I have to say it again; we are so sorry. Owl us anytime! We left our contact information with those wonderful people. We love and miss you so much honey!

Love, Mutter und Vader!

"Jamie!" I called, my voice was excited. I saw him jump at my sudden outburst.

"What?" James looked up from a booklet. Today was a Quidditch match; Gryffindor versus Hufflepuff. His Quidditch robes, red and gold, defined his broad shoulders. I smiled widely. Today would be an exciting day.

"Look!" I tossed him my letter. After a quick read, he smiled broadly.

"Brilliant!" he tossed the letter back at me, "I'll owl my parents and ask if the rumors are true."

"What rumors?" Fred piped up. He had also donned his Quidditch robes. Since he was a beater, he had more padding. His broad frame looked relaxed.

"Now, that would ruin the surprise." James replied, throwing me a cheeky wink.

"Gryffindor team! Let's go!" a call came over the enthusiastic hum of the Great Hall.

"See you after the game!" I said to the two boys, "Good luck!"

A final wave from Fred, James, Rose and Louis and they disappeared. I folded my letter neatly and set about finishing my breakfast. Roxanne was watching my carefully. I tried to ignore her stare.

But then I started fidgeting.

"Yes, Rox?" I met her gaze. Dark blue studied ice blue.

"What are you two planning?" she narrowed her lids in suspicion. I smiled coyly.

"It wouldn't be a surprise if I told." I turned back to my meal.

"Do you want a shirt?" my eyes widened as I quickly looked down. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw my torso clothed.

Hey, I have walked out of my room, my shirt lying on my bed before. Thank Merlin I was home alone. I am a special kind of stupid.

"What do you mean?" I let my eyes wander. I finally noticed what she was wearing. Her top half was engulfed in one of her brother's old Quidditch kits. Oh! "That is alright. I'll ask at the next match."

"Alright. You done?" I nodded.

"Yeah, let's go." I replied as I pulled my cloak over my shoulders.

We rounded the rest of the Potter/Weasley clan. Lily and Hugo walked ahead of us. They were the only ones not supporting Gryffindor. Even Albus, Scorpius and Lucy were going to sit in the Gryffindor stands. Lily and Hugo had their Hufflepuff pride. I smiled lightly at their backs. Loyal badgers those ones.

So, I am guilty of being too preoccupied to pay attention to the match. I sat in the stands and mostly thought about my Christmas plans. Every time the knowledge that I would not be spending my first Christmas in my new home by myself crossed my mind, I grinned.

But, this much I did catch of the game:
James scored four goals.
Fred received a warning after he aimed a bludger at a Hufflepuff chaser's head.
Louis only let two goals be scored.
Rose delivered a nasty tackle and she also received a warning.
The Gryffindor Seeker (Lana Wood) caught the Golden Snitch.

Overall, the match had been exciting, but I was busy with other thoughts on my mind. However, I did yell just as loud as everyone else at the finish. I saw Scorpius and Albus crack smiles. 190-20 was an excellent victory.

"Are you going to the party?" Albus asked me as Scorpius, he and I crossed the grounds to the castle. I burrowed further into my cloak, trying to fight the cold that was settling in.

"Yeah. I'm going to the dungeons to write a letter to my parents first." I replied. My body started shivering.

"We'll go with you." Scorpius offered. I nodded and picked up my pace. I was not dressed for the cold.

"Chilled?" Albus' tone held a teasing tone. I turned my head to look him in the eyes.

"Yes, mainly because I am not dressed for chilly weather." I pulled my cloak tighter around my form. I heard the two boys snigger quietly.

I dropped a half step behind their pace. My wand appeared in my grasp. Then two quiet Tripping Jinxes later, Albus and Scorpius were sprawled on the ground. Of course, I took off running.

"Manslayer!" I heard from behind me. I giggled. I chanced a glance to the boys.

Albus had recovered quickly and was already drawing his wand. I squeaked as a hex flew from the aimed wand. A 'Protego' fell from my lips and over my shoulder. I shot a Tickling Charm and Albus blocked it. Oh Schieße! I am dead.

"Protego!" I deflected a Rictusempra from Albus. And then I could not help but start laughing. It felt like feathers were being run across my skin. I doubled over and almost fell.

"How long you think she will be laughing." I caught through my laughter.

"Not long." another voice floated through my fits.

I felt the sensation leaving my skin. I fell to my hands and knees and gasped for air.

"Sneaky...snake..." I wheezed through gulps of air.

"Isn't that what you did?" Scorpius shot back at my heaving form. I let out a giggle as a feather got my side.

"I'm not cold anymore." I panted as a smile broke over my features. Two chuckles push their way over my heavy breathing as two hands in my vision.

I grasped Albus and Scorpius' offerings and was lifted easily from the ground. After dusting myself off, we continued our trek to the Common Room. We chatted happily and every so often I would break out in a fit of giggles from imaginary feathers. But I did stay warm.

Liebe Mutter und Vader,

"What's this?" a sneer invaded the table our trio snagged in the Common Room.

My letter was ripped from under my quill. My shoulders tensed as the two boys at the table looked up from their reading.

"I think it is a letter home to mummy and daddy." a different voice responded cruelly. I slowly closed my eyes and kept breathing.

"What does all this rubbish mean?" the first voice was nasty and made my teeth grind. Goons. These were Pattinson's goons. He refused to talk to me after I rearranged his shriveled boy parts. But his goons annoyed me from time to time.

Right now, they were testing my temper by not respecting my background or my property. I brought my head up and lifted my lids. I saw Albus and Scorpius looking decidedly pissed off.

Well, I was murderous.

"If you had any kind of intellect, you would recognize that it reads, 'Dear Mother and Father.'" I translated as I slowly turned around in my chair. Verdamnt. Sixth years. The one holding my letter graced me with an icy glare.

"Pardon?" the other one said in a dangerous voice.

"You are excused." I snapped back at him, "May I have my letter back?" the Common Room was quiet.

The answer to my question came in the form of the parchment being ripped into confetti. The nasty boy tossed the pieces into the air. Some landed on my head and the table. My arms and shoulders were dusted with tiny pieces of parchment. I stood up from my perch slowly. My measured movements caused pieces to flutter to the floor, joining the majority of my letter.

"Cal..." a voice muttered behind me. I ignored Albus.

"That was so very mature of you." I started, my tone was edgy, "I'm very impressed by you show of dominance. Parchment is a highly difficult thing to destroy." I felt my annoyance leak into my speech.

"Watch your -" the second goon began.

"Tone?" I interrupted his boring command, "Why? Is something going to happen to me? Do I need to watch my back? Oh sweet Morgana! Am I going to need body guards?" sarcastic fright amused me, "No? I didn't think so?" I wiggled my fingers through my multi-colored locks. I blew the lightweight scraps off my shoulders.

"You insolent little -"

"Girl?" my voice sharp. They had enough thought to flinch at the sound, "I fear you are calling the wrong person insolent. Here you come over and provoke me when I haven't said anything to you. I was minding my own when you so rudely took my letter form me and proceeded to taunt me. Not only that, but then you shredded my parchment and threw it about. I am concerned which dictionary you procure you definitions from." I gathered my other writing supplies, "I am worried it is titled along the lines of 'Words for Dunderheads' or something equally stupid." my inkpot and quill disappeared into my bag. A hand was placed between my shoulder blades.

"You ready to go?" Scorpius whispered quietly into the shell of my ear. I smiled sweetly to the two idiots in front of me.

"Yes, I am." I shouldered my bag, "Have a good night, gents." and I was led out of the Slytherin Common Room.

The feeling of nausea never came. My lungs did not hyperventilate. I felt light and accomplished. There were no shaky hands or wobbly knees.

I felt solid like a rock.

A/N: I am still looking for pairings for Calesta. They may not happen here in this fic, but I do have plans for another one. She is honestly someone I can totally relate to and I love writing her. I know it doesn't seem like when I ignore her for a few weeks. But I have had some many things swirling in my head lately, it gets confusing. Now that some of the muck has been cleared, I have been able to really sit down and push out a chapter at a time for my three fics. :D I am very proud of me sometimes. :D
