A/N: So, yes, you can hate me. I hate myself. I know I have already said that once, but I do. I ended up getting all out of wack with being internetless for four days. I mean, I was lost. I couldn't do anything. And it was odd to be down in the Peninsula, even if I do go there every summer. I just felt really off. But, never fear. I started another story and that has been good for me. It has helped clear my head. So, maybe it wasn't the lack of internets, but a plunny getting under my skin and trying its best to throw me off kilter? Either way, I have less headaches and better concentration. :D

So, here is some Cal and James fluff to win your forgiveness! Because I like their fluffiness! They really are good as brother and sister. So, here they are, being cute together!

Happy reading!

Henny, that lucky Penny!

My Family

Christmas morning was extremely loud. James Potter ran around the house yelling and waking everyone up. Lily told me that he did this every year, without fail. It warmed my heart that James could act mature and still have the heart of a child. Well, he could act half mature. I had only seen him be serious when magic was involved. Like when I was getting my head kicked in, he came to my rescue and did not hesitate to avenge my pride. Even if afterwards he was still the big goof that he always was.

"CALESTA! Open your present from me first!" the rowdy teen yelled after he nearly knocked Lily's door off the hinges. I squeaked at the sudden intrusion and pulled the blanket over my head.

"James! What if I'm not presentable?" I shouted from my hiding place. A light giggle breezed through the covering and James chuckled heartily.

"Oh, Cal, you are too silly. I know for a fact that your hair always lies down flat and you sleep covered from neck to ankles!" he replied with mirth still tickling his throat. I fought a smile because I was not going to feed his arrogance. Just because he was always observing me did not merit him bursting into the room I was sleeping in and catch me unawares.

"James Potter, you stop talking. What if your parents heard that kind of thing? They might get the wrong impression!" I muttered through the blanket.

"That we have shared a bed, once or twice?" he questioned with a sly tone. I felt my cheeks warm.

"James!" I squeaked. I threw the blanket off of my prone form as I sat up quickly, "Stop talking-"

The faces of Ginny and Harry Potter were smirking at me from the doorway. I felt my whole body flush with embarrassment. My eyes went wide as I began searching for the blanket to throw back over myself. I was going to pretend that I was not in the Potter house and pretend that James did not just imply that I have slept with their son. I felt like the sun with how deep my blush was. I was mortified.

"I think I broke her, Al." James murmured to his brother. Scheiße! Albus was here to witness this?

Wait, why does that matter?

Laughter trickled through my thoughts and I gave up trying to look for the blanket and just covered my face with my hands and tried to create a hole in the floor with wandless magic. I just wanted the floor to swallow me up and never spit me back out. The more I hid behind my hands, the more embarrassed I was. I could not for the life of me figure out why. Through the raging waters of my blood, I heard soft shooing sounds and the laughter faded. I tried to suck in cool air to cool my heated body.

"Cal?" the voice that I was not expecting floated along with the blood. I felt James step over to me and kneel down, "Cal? Do you know that I am joking?"

I nodded my head yes because I was still trying to cool the scalding blood.

"Good. Because my parents hardly take anything I say seriously. Plus, my mother would never think that I touched you inappropriately because she knows the truth. She probably told my father and that is why he hasn't even tried to shake your hand. Now, will you stop being difficult and open your present from me?" James was using his soft brother voice. I peeked through my fingers and found him holding a small package with a soft smile on his lips.

"Your parents won't think I am some kind of girl that sleeps around?" I asked with a muffled voice, my palms were still covering my mouth. James' smile grew as he shook his head no. I took a deep breathe through my nose and let my hands drop. My cheeks were still incredibly warm, but my skin had cooled, "You are awful, you know that?"

"Of course. But then I wouldn't be the greatest big brother in the world!" he informed me. I felt a smile stretch my lips as I brought a palm up to accept his gift.

James laid it down gently and sat back on his haunches to wait. I huffed out a breath and pulled back the stiff paper. A velvety jewelry box met my eyes. It was Slytherin green and light. I glanced nervously up to James and he just nodded his head. I tore off the rest of the paper and let it fall to my lap. With sluggish fingers, I lifted the lid and was met with a shimmering heart pendant on a silver chain.

"Oh! Jamie!" I gasped. My gaze snapped from the necklace to his sparkling forest green eyes, "It's so pretty!"

I turned back to the pendant. It was silver and had a heart shaped hole in the center. A crimson red color line followed the contours of the heart in the middle of the silver. I fingered the vein like line lightly and admired the cool metal with steamy eyes. It was simple and elegant and something that James would do for me. I looked up at him again and he had not changed expressions.

"Now, this isn't the whole thing." he broke the quiet gently. I looked at him, puzzled at his meaning. A small chuckle escaped his lips, "Scorp can't give this to you, but he did buy it for me to give to you. So, this is from me if anyone asks, but between you and me, this is from the blonde prat." he pulled another gift from his pocket, this one wrapped in crimson red paper. I giggled. Trust a Slytherin to cover a not-from-me gift in Gryffindor red.

I placed James' gift in my lap on top of the stiff paper. James extended the colorful gift and I picked it up from his palm. He sent an encouraging smile before I set to tearing off the paper. A red velvet box met my fingertips. I huffed out a short laugh and set the paper on the floor beside me. And I opened the lid. A similar heart shaped pendant met my blue eyes with a matching silver chain.

The differences were subtle, but they worked well together. This pendant was whole, but still has a line that followed the contours of the shape in the middle of silver. The one from Scorpius was smaller and when I compared the two side by side, I realized that it was meant to snap in the center of the one from James. I plastered a huge grin on my face and focused my attention on James.

"You two came together and got this for me?" I inquired in an astonished voice. After his positive nod, I continued, "Why?"

"Because Scorpius and I were talking and we realized that you were our little sister. We know that you have had a few rough months and whatnot, but we wanted to let you have visual proof that you are our sister. Scorp and I are like brothers, so when we realized that you were a part of our family, we knew we wanted to show you." he replied in his soft voice.

I felt the tears well in my eyes. I love my family. I love my mother and father. I love being a part of a small family. But to know that I was being accepted into a group of people like a sister, I felt my heart swell. I did not know that it would feel this awesome to hear, 'you are my sister,' come from the lips of the prankster James Potter. And to know that Scorpius Malfoy accepted me as his sister just felt right. James patiently waited for me to find my words. I took a shuddering breathe.

"Thank you, James Potter." I muttered wetly, "Thank you so much. I don't even know what to say."

"Let me help you put it on, and then you can just give me a hug." he supplied for me. I nodded my head with a quiet sniff.

He plucked the gifts from my hands and pulled Scorpius' heart out of its box first. I turned my back to him and extracted my hair out of his way. I felt him lean closer as his arms came into my view. He clasped the chain closed and I heard soft rustling as he pulled his gift from the box. I looked down and as the two hearts came together, I saw them glow slightly as the two hearts snapped together to make a whole. The rings of Gryffindor red and Slytherin green contrasted beautifully and I realized why they chose those two colors.

"My Gryffindor brother and my Slytherin brother." I murmured as I felt a tear slip down my cheek.

"Exactly." he stated happily, "Happy Christmas, Calesta Manslayer-Potter-Malfoy." I laughed at the ridiculous name.

I let my hair fall down and spun around. I threw my arms around James' neck and squeezed tight. Joyous laughter rumbled through my body as he embraced me back. His strong arms held me tightly and comfortably. I let the tears run down my cheeks freely and soaked the collar of his night shirt. I knew that it must have been uncomfortable, but James let me cry out the feelings that were swirling inside my head. I just gained a whole bunch of family members.
