Disclaimer: I don't own neither characters and stories from Glee nor Moulin Rouge, I only own the crazy mind that put them together :D

How much my life had changed in the pasts days, but even more, that exact day, the day I met the Moulin Rouge the day I met the love of my life.

At that moment I knew I had to find a way to make her talk me more, to make her listen to me, she liked my voice, I could tell, the look in her eyes when I was singing to her was so beautiful and I needed to make her look at me like that again.

Maybe…

Maybe with a little of luck…

Luck that I needed in that exact moment…

- CHAPTER 4 -

A Poetry Reading

"Oh! Oh my G— Quinn!" Rachel shook her, trying to wake her as she was holding her, but the weight of the unconscious girl was too much for the shorter girl, so she drags her towards the bed and fell on top of Quinn as she put her on it. Rachel stayed in this position to keep shaking her trying to wake her. "Please open your eyes" Rachel begged.

William Schuester was in his own room, standing by the window with a telescope. "Let's have a little peekaboo" he looked out the telescope and saw two pair of legs moving in the bed. "Oh, right on target!"

Rachel was still trying to wake Quinn up when the Duke Jesse entered in the room again and saw them

"I forgot my hat— ok, not that this didn't look hot, but, what the hell this means? Is a foul play?" Jesse asked part confused, part annoyed, and part turned on. A girl was on top of Quinn and even when it was 'certainly exciting' the scene looked completely wrong to him.

"She…" Rachel begun, but she didn't know what to say.

Quinn opened her eyes and saw Rachel on top of her and to her horror she saw the Duke standing there, looking at them. "Oh Duke!"

"It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside?" he said a little bit angry.

"Beautiful spoken Duke. Yes, let me introduce you, the writer."

"The writer?" he didn't looked convinced.

"Yes, we were rehearsing" Quinn said.

Jesse laughed "You expect me to believe that scantily clad, in the arms of another person, in the middle of the night, inside an elephant, you were rehearsing?"

The bohemians, who have been watching the whole scene from their hiding spot, entered just in time.

"How's the rehearsal going? Shall we take it from the top? Eh, my Queen?" Tina was the first in entering the room.

"I hope the piano's in tune" Blaine said sitting in the piano stool.

"Sorry. Got held up." The trouty mouth guy said

"Can I offer you a drink?" Kurt was the last one in entering the room.

Schuester was peeking at them through the telescope again, and to his horror, he saw to many people surrounding the Duke. "Oh my goodness!" he said heading to the red room too.

"When I spoke those words to you before, you— you filled me with such inspiration. Yes, I realized how much work we had to do, so I called everyone for an emergency rehearsal." Quinn explained to the Duke.

"If you're rehearsing, where's Schuester?" he wasn't quite convinced yet.

"Well… we didn't bother William—" Quinn began, but exactly in that moment William Schuester entered the door of the room.

"My dear Duke! I'm most terribly sorry"

Quinn jumped "William, you made it! It's all right. The Duke knows all about the Emergency Rehearsal" she said giving him a meaningful look.

"Emergency rehearsal?" he repeated confused

"Mmm, to incorporate the Duke's artistic ideas." Quinn kept looking at Schuester, and then he understood and followed her in the conversation. "I'm sure Artie will be only too delighted—"

"Artie's left" Tina said

"He what?" Mr. Schue asked

"William, the cat's out of the bag. Yes, the Duke is already a big fan of our new writer's work. That's why he's so keen to Invest" Quinn gives him another meaningful look.

"Invest?… oh Invest! Oh yes, well, invest! You can hardly blame me for trying to hide, uh—"

"Her name is Rachel" Tina whispered.

"…Rachel away" Mr. Schue finished.

"I'm way ahead of you, Schuester" Jesse said.

"My dear Duke. Why don't you and I go to my office to peruse the paperwork?" Mr. Schue motioned him to get out of the room, but Jesse wasn't done yet. "What's the story?" he asked.

"The story?" Mr. Schue didn't know what to say.

"Well, if I'm to invest, I'll need to know the story" Jesse said, he never had given money just because.

"Ah yes, well, the story is about…" he looked to Quinn, but she finally was out of ideas, so, she shook her head no. "…the story is about— Tina?" Everyone looked at Tina now.

She laughed nervously "Well, the story's— the story's about—"

Rachel had been quiet all this time because, she was shocked first by seeing Quinn unconscious again, later by being surprised by the famous Duke in that awkward situation and then everything else just happened so fast, but, now she got an idea, she was sure of what the story should be about. "It's about love"

"Love?" Jesse looked not very impressed.

"It's about love overcoming all obstacles" She looked at Quinn, who looked back at her.

"And it's set in Switzerland!" Tina added exited.

"Switzerland?" Jesse looked at Mr. Schue

"Exotic Switzerland" William said trying to convince him.

Rachel looked at an Indian elephant in the room and suddenly she got an idea. "India! It's settled in India" she looked at Quinn and to the Duke. "And there's a courtesan—" she looked back at Quinn "—the most beautiful courtesan in the world…" now she looked at the Duke "…But her kingdom was invaded by an evil maharajah! Now, in order to save her kingdom, she has to seduce at the maharajah. But on the night of the seduction, she mistakes a penniless— she spots a sitar— a penniless sitar player for the evil maharajah, and she falls in love with him." She directed a meaningful look at Quinn. "He wasn't trying to trick her or anything; he was dressed as a maharajah because he's appearing in a play"

"I will play the penniless tango-dancing sitar player. He will sing like an angel, but dance like the devil" the trouty mouth guy said, taking the sitar from Rachel.

"Yes. Yes, all right. And what happens next?" the Duke Jesse asked.

"Well, the penniless sitar player and the courtesan, they have to hide their love from the evil maharajah"

"The penniless sitar player's sitar is magical. It can only speak the truth" Kurt added.

"And-and I will play the magical sitar" Tina said, she started to imitate notes like a sitar looking at Quinn "You are beautiful" she imitated notes again now looking at Mr. Schue "You are ugly" now she turned to look at the Duke "You are—" Everyone gasped, putting their hands over Tina's mouth.

Jesse backed up slightly "And he gives the game away?"

"Yes!" everyone answered

"Tell him about the cancan" Mr. Schue pointed at Rachel

"The-the tantric cancan—" she didn't knew much about cancan

Mr. Schue pushed her away and explained himself "It's an erotic spectacular scene that captures the thrusting, violent, vibrant, wild bohemian spirit that this whole production embodies, Duke."

"What do you mean by that?" Jesse asked.

"I mean the show would be a magnificent, opulent, tremendous, stupendous, gargantuan, bedazzlement, a sensual ravishment. It will be…" Blaine played notes on the piano and he begun to sing.

"SPECTACULAR SPECTACULAR, NO WORDS IN THE VERNACULAR,

CAN DESCRIBE THIS GREAT EVENT, YOU'LL DUMB WITH WONDERMENT,

RETURNS ARE FIXED AT TEN PERCENT, YOU MUST AGREE THAT'S EXCELLENT,

AND ON TOP OF YOUR FEE"

They all started to sing as well, getting together and walking/hoping towards the Duke.

"SO EXCITING, AUDIENCE WILL STOMP AND CHEER,

SO DELIGHTING, IT WILL RUN FOR 50 YEARS,

SO EXCITING, AUDIENCE WILL STOMP AND CHEER,

SO DELIGHTING, IT WILL RUN FOR 50 YEARS"

The Duke sat down, and they one by one sang to him.

"ELEPHANTS" -Rachel

"ARABIANS" - Blaine

"INDIANS" -Mr. Schue

"AND COURTESANS" -Quinn

"ACROBATS" -Kurt sang while swinging on a rope

"AND JUGGLING BEARS" -The trouty mouth guy, while juggling wearing a bear skin

"EXOTIC GIRLS" -Tina

They continued singing the details and characters of the play to the Duke, at one moment they picked him up, even when he was still sitting in the chair, spinning him around in the air. They all put him down to finish the song and they all posed. Quinn was being held by Rachel, Mr. Schue and the trouty mouth guy; Tina was holding up her cane, and Blaine and Kurt were smiling widely.

"Yes, but what happens in the end?" The Duke asked, still not very sure of all this.

They all looked at each other and frantically went about the room, getting ready to rehearse the ending for him. They make a curtain and Rachel stepped out from behind it. She cleared her throat, and a red light was centered on her. She moved with the curtain as it opened, while she sang.

"THE COURTESAN AND SITAR MAN ARE PULLED APART BY AN EVIL PLAN…" Quinn was now dressed as the courtesan and the trouty mouth guy was dressed as the sitar player.

"BUT IN THE END SHE HEARS HIS SONG" Quinn sang, glancing at Rachel, waiting for her to finish.

Rachel looked at her smiling like a fool and finished the sentence "AND THEIR LOVE IS JUST TOO STRONG"

Quinn looked at Rachel and back to the trouty mouth guy. All went quiet for a minute as Quinn and the Trouty Mouth guy pretend to be the courtesan and the sitar player.

The Duke Jesse looked at Quinn and sang "IT'S A LITTLE BIT FUNNY, THIS FEELING INSIDE"

They all didn't know what to say, his voice was really good. Surprisingly good, so they all started to sing again.

"SO EXCITING, AUDIENCE WILL STOMP AND CHEER,

SO DELIGHTING, IT WILL RUN FOR 50 YEARS"

They all got ready to play out the next part, While Rachel sang.

"THE SITAR PLAYER'S SECRET SONG, HELPS THEM FLEE THE EVIL ONE,

THOUGH THE TYRANT RANTS AND RAIL, IT IS ALL TO NO AVAIL"

Mr. Schue popped up, dressed as the maharajah "I am the evil maharajah! … You will not escape!"

"Oh, William, no one could play him like you could" Quinn said to him.

"No one is going to" he smiled to her. Next they all started to sing again.

"SO EXCITING, WE'LL MAKE THEM LAUGH,

WE'LL MAKE THEM CRY,

SO DELIGHTING…"

"And in the end, will someone die?" Jesse asked following the rhyme of the song.

They all looked at each other again, and decided to ignore that question.

SO EXCITING, AUDIENCE WILL STOMP AND CHEER,

…IT WILL RUN FOR 50 YEARS!" They all posed at the final of the song

"Generally… I like it" Jesse said, making the all of them get up from their positions and ran to the Duke, cheering.

And talking about luck, maybe I had done something good in my previous life, because that day, that fine day I was having all the luck I needed.

Schuester had an investor, and the bohemians had a show.

While the celebratory party raged upstairs, I tried to write. But all I could think was her. How wonderful life was now that she was in my world.

But… could she being thinking about me too?

Maybe if this new luck smiles at me one more time… I could found it out…

before the day ends.
