After a year and a half of not working on this, I found myself with a lot of time on my hands. Because I was bored, I decided to start writing again in hopes of continuing on this fun crossover I enjoyed creating.

Vol.2 Chapter 2: Lyon's Plan

The Third Holy Grail War had just begun, and Lancer's master wasted no time in paving his way to victory.

His name was Lyon Vastia, one of the strongest Ice mage of modern Fiore.

He stood near the pier that overlook the Magnolia's harbor and prepared to execute his well-crafted plan. His raven haired Servant stood next to him in silence awaiting for his order.

"Lancer get ready, we are going to take out one of the other Masters before the first night is out"

The servant nodded in compliance and disappeared into the darkness.

Lyon was confident that he would success. He consider himself capable of such trivial strategic endeavors and had confidence over his own power.

"Lord Lyon, are you sure it is wise to bait the other Servants out with our own"

The voice came from a pale woman with blue hair who held an umbrella over her head. As she came to sight, the weather clouded and by some unnatural phenomenon, it started to rain.

"Don't worry Juvia, our Servant is extremely capable by himself. Besides him being one of the Knight classes, he also has one of the most powerful Noble Phantasm. You know about his legend, right?"

"Yes, Juvia know about the story of Grey Fullbuster, it is both heroic and tragic at the same time, and he is indeed a fine fighter. But Lord Lyon, you must realize that he upholds his honor above all else. If you command him to do something underhandedly, he will not comply."

Juvia is Lyon's Fiancée, it was an arrange marriage between their guilds. She was the adoptive daughter to the leader of the Phantom Lord guild while Lyon himself was a prominent member of Lamia Scales. Prior to meeting her, Lyon had his fair share of admirers over the years, yet he had passed off their feeling for him as uninteresting or an annoyance. One such admirer was a girl name Sherry, who was a longtime friend of Lyon and his fellow guild mate. Sherry had loved Lyon for years but because he never reciprocated her feelings, she eventually moved on and married a man from another guild. After many such incident like these, His Guild mates had come to the conclusion that he just wasn't interested in romance or relationships. In fact, he had only agreed to this marriage arrangement because of his loyalty to the guild and that it was going to be beneficial for him in the near future.

All that change when he meet Juvia. He was instantly smitten by her and was in love for the first time in his life. This came as a surprise to many others including himself. Juvia was a beautiful woman, but she was always pale and had a quirky and gloomy personality which made it hard for people to converse with her. It also didn't help that she had a strange magical curse set upon her that made it rain every time she went outside. Despite this, Lyon overlooked these traits and began to court her and eventually they had gotten closer than mere strangers. But eventually Lyon realize that Juvia didn't see him the same way he did. She saw her role as his fiancée as an obligation and it became obvious that she was depress by this arrangement. It was ironic that while he had many admirer beforehand, he was never romantically interested in any of them. Yet when he fell in love with Juvia, she wasn't able to reciprocate his own feelings towards her which caused him great anguish. The same anguish he had caused to Sherry when he himself ignore her feelings.

"Juvia, it pains me greatly to always see you sad and never smiling, but I promise you that I will make you happy and fill your world with joy after the war is over."

"Lord Lyon, you have done enough for Juvia over the years and appreciates your kindness towards a gloomy person such as Juvia. But Juvia rather see you focus on yourself sometimes and do what makes you feel happy."

Her words where sincere but Lyon knew it was her usual meek response that she used to emotional distance herself from him. However Lyon's love for her was so great that he would not give up on it.

"The truth is that my origin reason for participating in this war was to elevate my status among the great mages of Fiore and to attain fame by fighting the other masters who are just as powerful as I am. But I must confess that if I obtain the Holy Grail, I will use it to lift this curse that has plague you all your life."

"Juvia is grateful that you would go to such great lengths to cure this curse. But Lord Lyon you mustn't use such great power for just Juvia, it must be use for a much grander purpose."

"It ok Juvia, you are important to me and I would use such power just for you without hesitation. Beside we are both in this war together and I am relieve that you are here beside me."

"Well its Juvia's duty to help you Lord Lyon"

"It more than just helping that much I assure you. Our contract with Lancer is unique as I hold the Command spells to control him but you are the one providing him with your own magical power. With this, he will have an advantage over the others. He is both our Servant and we will used him to win this war for us."

As Lyon said these words, a familiar voice came from his command seal and spoke.

"Master Lyon, Lady Juvia, I am in position just as you ask."

"Are you making your presence known?"

"Yes, I am releasing my magic aura at a steady rate. If you are correct then the other servant will notice that we are trying to pick a fight with them and will confront us. Also if I may speak bluntly, I am a Heroic spirit that follow my own path and not a simple tool that you can use for your own purpose."

"You over heard us, are you still disagreeing with my plan?"

Ever since he was summoned by Lyon, Lancer had been disappointed in Lyon. His master only saw him as a weapon to be used in this War and constantly looks down on his power. Lyon had constantly berated Lancer for his failure in his past life.

"I know you are a man of honor my friend and I respect that, but as long as I have this seal on my hand you will follow my orders without question. All you have to do is confront them and draw them out in the open where I can see them and shoot them down with my magic."

"Your way is too sneaky and malicious, there no sense in beating your opponent in that kind of fashion, it will make the victory to shallow. I rather fight head long with them in a duel and win using my own power and my own strength.

"You would still have a chance of losing to one of the other Servants and if that happens we would be out of the Grail war. We have to be smart on how we engage them and fight them when we have a clear advantage over them."

Lancer gave a heavy sigh at his Master's personality. He had come to dislike Lyon and his way of doing things but because he was the one who summon him, Lancer felt obligated to serve him.

"Oi we servants also have a reason for fighting in the Holy Grail War, but unlike you I have no desire to use the Grail's power for anything. You see Lyon, my wish has already been granted. By being summoned into this war, I can redeem myself for my inability to save Fiore and the Holy Grail from the evil magus three hundred years ago. Nothing would please me more than winning the Holy Grail Wars for you and Juvia so I can erase my failures in life and ascend into the pantheon of heroes."

Suddenly Lancer did something out of character and bowed to Lyon.

"So please Master allow me to fight the servants my own way. I will not disappoint you or Lady Juvia."

Lyon heard those words and after much internal deliberation he finally gave in.

"Fine, you can fight them however you wish. However I will still be at this vantage point. At the first sign of you wavering I will intervene."

"Thank you Master Lyon."

"Now for the more important part, Lancer. Please put your clothes back on, you do want to fight those other Servants with some dignity, right?"

"But it too hot right now!?"

The servant had for the first time, shown his appreciation towards his master. However unknowingly to him, Lyon had no intention of following through with his agreement with him in the first place. Lyon wanted to win for Juvia and he would do anything to achieve that wish.

A/N: I honestly kind of regret making Lyon and Juvia take the place of El-Melloi and His wife from F/S Zero as I know that writing about them in the future is not going to end well.
