Hello guys!It's not Christmas yet and i HAVE the first of the two chapters i have promised you!The next one will be updated before the end of Christmas holidays,just to be clear!This one took me more than i had expected but never mind.I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did while i was writing ...have fun! The Sun appeared behind the glorious mountains of Arendelle. The heavy snow at the top of the mountains was easily observed and the kingdom of Queen Elsa had just started waking up. The bakers had just get started their ovens. The royal fishermen had already come out in the open sea , because Queen Elsa wanted the best fishes for their guest. King Eric of Feroe Islands. Women and men where stepping lengthwise the city market, others for doing their daily shopping and others with their kids which were grumpy as usual after their morning waking up.
Meanwhile at the royal castle , Elsa had been seating at her personal sofa on the main library. She hadn't woken up well today. Her thoughts hadn't let her to. She was holding her hot cup of chocolate near her belly while she was staring out the window. "I hope you're warm in here", she said and touched her belly gently while smiling. The strength of the cold breeze opened with fury the closed window, displaying the icy air of winter. Elsa squeezed her woolen coat. She stood up rapidly and approached the window. She pulled the shutters and eventually locked the window. She turned to sit back to her seat but something she heard captured her attention.
"Is anybody there?", Elsa asked and placed her chocolate on the small table nearby. She stepped carefully towards the big closet where the royal books were placed one near the other chronological. The smell of old books was wandering on the atmosphere and the sunlight was vanishing as Elsa was getting more and more into the darkness of the library.
"I'm asking again ..is Anybody there?",Elsa asked once more with her voice being harsh and her fists clenched from the fear. She was quiet a boggler,but in special example in case of Anna , or Kristoff, or her baby. So now she feared for her baby.
She held her breath. The only sound in the whole room anyone could listen crystal clear , was the sound of the wood smoldering in the flames of the fireplace. She took a look towards the right side of the library and then at the left one. After double-checking the area, she relaxed and turned back to her seat. On the way there, she took her cup of chocolate which was placed on the small table near the main door. Fortunately , it was still hot and its smell ,gave Elsa a feeling of relaxation.
"Goodmorning my Queen!",a male voice said cheerfully from the main door of the library.
Queen Elsa was taken aback. The result was destructive. The hot cup of chocolate dropped out of Elsa's hands and spilled on the marble floor.
"Ohh.. I'm so sorry if I scared you!", Eric giggled and ran towards her.
"Eric that's not funny!", Elsa said as serious as she could. She turned and looked him displaying a small encouraging smiled back and kneeled down to pick up the broken pieces of the cup. Elsa ran towards the corridor but before saying something ,she stopped. She turned to him and observed him. He was strangely kind to her. Almost right away ,Eric raised his head. He stared her and then bursted into laughters. She rolled her eyes and then laughed.
"Will you come and help me,Your Majesty?, he asked and kept his work ,picking up the other broken pieces. Elsa nodded and stepped towards him.
Meanwhile at Anna's room, Kristoff had woken up. Anna was still sleeping under her soft and warm blankets. Kristoff got up and approached the window. The sun bright and beautiful was staring at him. He lowered his look and observed the citizens stepping back and forth at the market. Anna's yawn made Kristoff turned his head towards her side.
"Good morning honey!",she mumbled while yawning and then stretched.
"Good morning redhead!", he replied and kissed her lips.
Anna smiled and got out of her bed.
"It's cold today !",she said with her voice trembling from the cold. Within seconds she had worn her woolen coat and had approached Kristoff.
"Would you like to go and eat something?",Kristoff asked and hugged her with passion.
"Yeahh, I'm starving!",she replied and kissed him in his cheek. Anna ran towards the corridor. The delicious smell of freshly cooked butter cookies coming from the royal kitchen made Anna signed.
"Oh Odin.. I'm craving a butter cookie right now!",Kristoff said from her back as he smelled with pleasure the fragrant smell of their breakfast. They stepped embraced towards the dining room. More smells where gathering ,as they were approaching. Anna could detect the yummy smell of chocolate cookies and hot waffles. Her belly started purring laughed and looked up her husband. She felt a weird emotion like everything's was perfect. She had never felt it before in such a degree. Lost into her thoughts she didn't realize that they were standing in front of the dining room. Servants were passing them by, bowing as fast as they could, carrying cookies, freshly-made drinking chocolate ,waffles with melted chocolate and other delicious dishes. Elsa and Eric hadn't arrived yet and Anna wondered. Kristoff looked her pensive and stepped towards his seat. Anna fixed her crumpled sleeves and approached her seat ,which was near Kristoffs one.
"Liza, do you know where Elsa is?", Anna asked before seating on her seat. Kristoff looked worried the servant waiting for a response. Liza stood still for seconds trying to put an order on her thoughts.
"Your Highness, I believe she's at the library. She came the early morning and ordered a hot drinking chocolate .",Liza responded while smiling.
"Thank you Liza",Anna smiled back and nodded her to go. She sat and looked Kristoff. She tried to smile but she didn't succeed to. Kristof kissed her on the forehead and hugged her.
"What's wrong?",he asked smiling.
"Nothing..", Anna responded and stuffed her mouth with three cookies. Kristoff bursted into laughter and looked Anna.
"You can't hide from me!",Kristof said and took her hands smiled and kissed him fleetingly on his lips .
"Is just , I'm worrying about Elsa...",Anna said and signed."After Eric's arrival she's a bit different and meanwhile at yesterday's incident she whispered me the name of his brother…",Anna stopped when she heard steps from her back. She turned her head and surprisingly Elsa and Eric were laughing as they were entering the room. Anna goggled her eyes and stared bemused her sister. Elsa noticed her sister behavior and glared her fleetingly before she sat on her seat.
"Anna I introduce you King Eric of Feroe Islands.",Elsa tried to break the ice between her "siblings" with Eric.
"Your Highness I'm glad to meet you officially", Anna replied and smiled to the charming King as better as could. Kristoff smiled and tried to discuss with Eric for commerce and imports, exports of their royal products. Even though he had not much idea, how to discuss and behave like a royal member he was taught much ,from Anna during their honeymoon the previous year, just before Elsa visit all the kingdoms of her realm.
"So Anna , what was the stare for?",Elsa asked whispering into her sister's ear.
"Elsa.." ,Anna whispered back feeling out of depth.
"What Anna? This was really rude, in case you didn't notice", Elsa answered and turned her face and body towards Kristoff and Eric and saw them discussing. Anna signed and turned her face in the opposite direction while playing awkwardly with her hair. Elsa looked her back , but turned her face ,crossed her fingers and stayed silent.
"Elsa I want you to show me ,your Kingdom of isolation. I've heard so many about this glorious ice structure.", Eric said with enthousiasm while staring Elsa.
Elsa raised her look and smiled to him. Almost right away, Anna turned her face and excused them, before she leave the dining room obviously not feeling pretty well. Elsa touched her forehead and signed. Kristof smiled awkwardly to the King and then looked intense Elsa who had raised her look towards them.
"Eric if you don't mind, Kristoff would want to show you our castle and the big yard where our celebrations take place. Now if you excuse me I would want to turn back to my royal duties.",she said and left stepping a bit quickly the hall.
Kristoff tried to stay had to handle this really messy situation between Elsa and Anna.
"Well Your Majesty, where would you like to start first?",Kristoff asked gently and finished his breakfast.
"Well I don't know…but before we do anything I would appreciate if you could tell me what's going on between princess Anna and Elsa..", Eric replied and stared him thoughtful.
Kristoff bite his lips and then stuffed his mouth with biscuits. Eric laughed but didn't bother. He would find out what was going on from first hand. He would go and find Elsa and talk to her . Otherwise his trip in Arendelle would have become for no cause. He was determined to express his feelings and meet better the woman he loved. He was sure that she was the woman he wanted to spend his life with.
Meanwhile, Elsa was running through the corridors, trying to detect a sign of her sister. She was upset almost furious. But she would become insane if something happened to Anna. And that was the reason she was stepping like crazy. And then she heard her. She heard her heartbroken whine coming from her room. Elsa clenched her fists and came closer to the semi-closed door of her sisters room. Anna stopped whining and stared out of the window "Do you want build a snowman…",she sang almost whispering, with tears rolling down her cheeks. Elsa pushed slowly the door which displayed her heartbroken sister singing their favourite song. That feeling..all those years..hiding from themselves. No more.
"or ride our bikes around the hall..",Elsa finished the lyrics of the song almost crying from happiness.
Anna turned her face and laughed while more tears started rolling down her cheeks. Elsa approached and hugged her little sister. Anna let out all her feelings into her sister's arms and Elsa caressed her hair.
"I love you Anna and I'm sorry", Elsa said and looked her sister straight into her red, disappointed eyes.
"I love you too Elsa",Anna replied and smiled. "I would never hurt you or make you feel bad, so I'm sorry too".
"It's ok", Elsa replied and wiped Anna's watered eyes.
"So what are we going to do?",Anna asked terrified.
"What do you mean?", Elsa asked her thoughtfully while opening the window.
"I mean what will you do with Eric?",Anna asked once again while stepping back and forth.
"I don't know…I believe I can find a way", Elsa responded and bite her nails. She was afraid to think of what would happened after his arrival. And now here he was.
"Elsa.. you're pregnant into his brother's child and he's crystal clear in love with you. Do you believe that he will still want you if he finds out about your pregnancy?", Anna asked a bit angrily and raised her eyebrow.
Elsa felt warming up. All those "don't" and "must" with the guilt of this child were too much for her to handle.
"And have you ever thought….", Anna kept saying without even noticing her sister's hard breathing.
"ENOUGH ANNA!", Elsa shouted and closed her eyes. Anna stayed silent and bemused.
"Anna what's going on?I know I have SO many things to considerate about but you don't have to remind them to me so often!, Elsa said and signed. Anna was confused. They had just disputed and then were back again and now they had started all over. "Something's wrong with Elsa", she mulled over and cleared her throat.
"Elsa I'm sorry but I don't understand you pretty much recently.", Anna responded and lowered her glance.
"Anna neither do I.",Elsa replied and stepped slowly towards the door."Maybe we should give some time to each other, to realize some things.",she said and left disappointed the room. Anna was speechless. Her hands were shaking and her throat was burning. "What just happened?", she thought and sat on her bed exhausted. And then the dizziness came. The room started going round and round. Her eyebrows were closing. She ran towards the bathroom and vomited. She hadn't eaten much but her pregnancy wasn't good at all. She was throwing up at least 3 times a day. She barely could stand on her feet. Whereas Elsa could travel and do all kinds of things without even realizing she was pregnant.
"I must go to the healer", Anna said before she vomited for the last time.
At the same time, Elsa was on her office. She had so many things to do. Papers from every corner of the realm had arrived, the majority of them for problems occurring between citizens or commerce , particularly for the products prices. Also it was heard that a new illness had appeared from the North that had killed many and the treatment was still unknown. Elsa was "drawn" between her responsibilities and her personal problems.
"Guards, please bring me the Council", Elsa ordered and fixed her paperwork. Within minutes, 3 men arrived into the office. The headmaster of the council was the oldest one. The two remaining were around the age of Elsa(the youngest) and her father's(the other one) before he died, and they were known for their wisdom and their smartness.
"My Queen, you called us, what is the problem?, Eiden the oldest one asked. He was part of the royal council 40 years. He was 30 when he entered Elsa's father royal council and now at the age of 70 he was alive to see his King's daughter reigning Arendelle.
"Eiden, I really worry about this illness occurring on the North of the realm. I have a letter coming from King Eilif that makes me really pensive. He has four citizens already passed away from this illness and his royal doctors haven't found a solution this this problem yet. What are we going to if this destructive epidemic reached our Kingdom?", Elsa asked with her voice raised while signing some papers.
"Your Highness, we'll find a way to this. Until then I'll send my people to select any further information considering this epidemic.", Eiden replied and bowed.
"Thank you Eiden, you can leave", Elsa responded and nodded him to leave the room.
Eiden left as quietly as he entered the room, while Elsa was putting in order the last paperwork left.
"Haldor, approach please", Elsa ordered and extended her hand , holding two brown papers.
"Yes my Queen",Halldor said and took the papers slowly almost hesitating. His eye caught the word "suitor" , a word surprisingly opposite to his Queen beliefs.
"Halldor I want you to send every man of your garrison, to the Kingdoms who are written on the lists I just gave you. The message that I want to send through your men is written in the back of the last paper. Please I want it to stay private.", Elsa said and smiled to her younger council member.
"Yes Your Highness", Halldor replied and bowed. He was the son of Elsa's father best friend. They had practically grown up together until the accident with Anna that caused Elsa's isolation.
The door opened and Halldor walked out staring the papers that his Queen had just given him. Honir was the only one left. Elsa stood up from her seat and approached her council member. Honir bowed and looked her serious.
"Well Honir,I know you had always been excellent with commerce and you have saved Arendelle so many times from fatal mistakes but this time I want you to help me with something different.", Elsa said and smiled awkwardly to her most trustworthy advisor.
"Yes Elsa tell me", Honir said and nodded her to speak.
"I want you to inform me about several things considering a Queen's life. For example in case an unmarried queen stays pregnant and even though she knows the father…but she's not married to him, what can possible happened to her?", Elsa asked with her eyes goggled due to her anxiety and fear of being noticed as pregnant.
Honir laughed but suddenly stopped. He was unaware for such a case but he would find out. Although he had no idea what this information would serve to his Queen ,he was willing to take care of it.
"My Queen, that has never happened in the history of our kingdom but I believe that there's a rule for such an extreme case. I'll search the books of your father and the Kings before him and I'll contact with you the sooner I can.", Honir replied and looked reassuringly Elsa who seemed disappointed.
"Thank you Honir, you may leave.", Elsa said and signed as she returned back to her original seat, where her desk was.
Honir left the room and when the doors closed, Elsa started tearing every paper that was on her field of vision. Now she was feeling more alone than ever. The words of Anna were prowling into her head and her fear was getting stronger. No matter she was the Queen, she was helpless. She stood up and let her magic to captivate the whole room. Within seconds her office had "drawn" into a frozen world. She stared her shaking hands which where white and icy. She looked them again with a sense of disgust before the door open with fury displaying a worried Eric.
"Eric what…?",Elsa asked but Eric didn't let her finish her phrase.
"Elsa we need to talk" ,he replied and closed the already open doors.
