Chapter 23: Mass Revival
Shepard's Project Renegade eyes shot open, Leng was looking down at Shepard, giving a smile while crossing his arms.
"Leng? You were dead."
Leng offered a hand while laughing.
"You can't kill me, come on I got something I want to show you."
Shepard took his hand and was immediately pulled off the table. Leng keyed in a couple commands on the door panel. The door opened and a lights all over the room activated, Shepard's eyes widened ninety-eight metal pods occupied the room.
"Leng are you telling me that these are our-"
"Yup, when we 'died' Cerberus came to find our bodies… Or what was left of it. The implants in our body contained our genetic code, held our memories, so they cloned our material and Bam! We're back, but the rest of them won't be ready for a couple of months."
It was a lot to take in, for Shepard.
"I-I need to get food in my stomach, it feels like I haven't eaten in years."
Leng laughed a bit.
"Well being upgraded for two years will do that to you."
Shepard's eyes widened hearing that from Leng.
"Did you just say two years?"
Leng nodded.
"Yeah the screwed up on your upgrade, and had to keep you down while they fixed the mistake… Come on let's head to the mess hall there is a lot that you're going to ask, and I'll be glad to answer."
As Jack and Leng left the Medical Lab, Jack heard one of the Cerberus receptionists.
"Welcome to Cerberus, please stand by while I connect you to our nearest representative ."
Jack turned to the receptionist, and saw it was an Asari, in a Cerberus uniform.
"Uh, Leng?"
"Remember when the Alliance Saved the Council, and Cerberus saved the Citadel? Well A lot of Aliens see Humanity as the Saviors of the Galaxy…. Now when they realized that Cerberus was a Pro Human Organization, and not an Anti-Alien Organization, A lot of Humanoid Aliens sent Resumes to Cerberus, stating 'To Join to keep Humanity the Rising Star.' Parts of the Galaxy are practically worshipping us, asking to Join System Alliance Space. You should see the Aliens joining up, Asari, Salarians, and Quarians… and Some Turians…"
Jack and Leng continued on to the elevator, seeing a group of Multi Species girls in Cerberus uniforms.
"It's Commander Shepard!" Yelled a Teal Asari.
The Girls swarmed Jack, Leng held out a hand.
"Come on get back to work Ladies, Cerberus doesn't pay you to flirt around."
The girls disbanded around Jack with disappointed expressions, the two made it down the elevator and near the door of the Mess Hall, Jack stopped when he heard a familiar voice.
"Oh my God… Shepard?"
Jack turned around as his eyes widened, it was Zoey.
"Zoey?"
Zoey ran over to Shepard giving him a hug, tears of joy traveled down her face.
"You were missing for two years…. They declared you dead."
Jack placed an arm on her shoulder.
"I was down under for upgrades when Cerberus found me, it was supposed to be three weeks, turned out someone in the operation messed up and I was down for two years… So you Joined Cerberus."
Zoey nodded while smiling.
"Yeah I sent them my resume, history in the First Contact War, and gave me an immediate call, accepting me, I've been going on important missions, and I'm joining yours too."
Jack raised his left brow.
"Mission… Leng is there something you're not telling me?"
Leng signaled to follow him in the Mess Hall, Jack followed, along with Zoey. The three of them took their seats at the Mess Hall. Coming to sit by them was Lt. Jacob Taylor, who gave a quick salute to Jack, followed by Miranda who seated herself on the bench. Jack immediately took notice to Miranda.
"You, I remember you, you Neuralized me."
Miranda pushed a strand of hair behind her ear.
"I fixed the problem Commander Shepard, you awake added to the problem."
Jacob just shook his head at Miranda.
"Miranda, I don't think it's a good idea to get on the Commander's bad side."
Jack looked at Jacob giving him an approving nod.
"Smart man, what's your name Lt.?"
"Lieutenant Jacob Taylor Sir, and may I say it's an honor to serve with you on a mission this important, and Miranda is too." Replied Jacob.
Jack ignored the food that was placed on his table and concentrated on Leng.
"Leng?"
"Several Human Colonies were attacked a couple of weeks ago, the buildings are unscathed but colonists are gone. We're going to find out why, but before we do, The Illusive Man wants to see you." Stated Leng.
The Illusive Man… Jack nodded and got up, ignoring his meal he went to the elevator followed by Leng, Jacob, Lawson, and Zoey.
Jack stepped in the communications room, the circular panel scanned him, while transmitting his signal. Jack could see the Illusive Man expecting him while sitting in his chair.
"Commander Shepard…"
Jack took in a deep breath.
"Illusive Man, I thought we be meeting face to face, depending on the situation."
The Illusive Man inhaled his cigarette.
"A necessary precaution, you know that Shepard, how are you feeling?"
Jack checked his system in the implants.
"I noticed a few new upgrades, What I heard is someone messed up the operation, keeping me from my duties. So what's this about our Colonies going dark?"
The Illusive Man stood up from his chair approaching the holo.
"I see Leng has filled you in mostly, we believe this has to do with the Reapers, targeting our species specifically, It must have something to do, of how a Human fleet destroyed Sovereign, or it must have something to with you specifically. Shepard I'll be sending you dossier's to investigate the recent attacks, and to combat it, I'm sending you to Freedom's Progress, one of our colonies in the Terminus, it recently went Dark, no distress beacon of any kind."
Jack put his hands behind his back.
"Understood, anything else?"
A smile appeared on the Illusive Man's face.
"I got you a Ship, Shepard and an old friend who will be piloting it."
Jack turned around to see Joker standing by the door way.
"Hey Commander, nice seeing you again."
Joker and Jack went through the facility and to the observation room for the hanger.
"Joker, you're working for Cerberus?"
"Hell Yeah, I'm working for Cerberus, after the Normandy went down and you went KIA, the Alliance blamed me for and grounded me, so Cerberus contacted me and allowed me to fly, so yeah bigger paycheck and there is also this."
Joker hit the button opening the Metal sheds on the window. There it was it looked like a, bigger, stronger, and flying the Cerberus Colors.
"She's going to need a name."
A name indeed.
Fifteen Minutes later the Hanger painted on The SR2 Normandy.
Zoey was especially excited when she saw the Normandy again. The New addition to the crew boarded the Normandy, and set course for Freedom's progress.
Jack didn't check out the Normandy yet, he stayed in the Shuttle bay prepping for Freedom's progress. He Equipped his Nightmare Armor.
Two assault troopers, One Centurion came down from the lift to join Jack, Leng, Zoey, Lawson, and Taylor.
"Sir we'll be accompanying you on this mission!" Stated the Centurion.
The Kodiak door opened and the Ground team got in. Jack was silent on the way down, trying to let all this sink in. The Kodiak landed on the surface of Freedom's Progress, the ground team stormed out of the Kodiak and got to the building in the landing zone. The buildings were all empty, Jacob made a comment how it looked like they got up from their dinner and left.
Loki Mechs activated to ambush them but Shepard wanted to test out his new implants.
[Welcome Jack Shepard] Command Operation/Shutdown Loki Mechs in the vicinity.
Understood…
The Loki Mechs began to shut down.
The next building Jack heard scuffling in there.
"Hold your positions, I'll clear this building out."
Leng leaned against the wall on the outside.
"Watch how the pro takes it out."
Jack knocked down the front door, immediately weapons were drawn on him.
"Stop right there!" A Quarian Stated.
Jack knocked the Gun out of his hand and threw him to the wall, another Quarian Marine tried to fire his Rifle at Jack, Jack immediately grabbed his rifle pointing up and breaking it, he then threw the Quarian to the opposite side of the wall. Two more Quarians tried to ambush, but he took them down in hand to hand. Thinking that was the last he lowered his guard, he then ducked when a Quarian in a purple envirosuit fired a familiar sniper rifle at Jack. The Gun Fire three Shots, each one of them bullets. Jack pointed the Rifle down then swiping it away, the Quarian drew her knife trying to cut Jack. Jack dodged every slice, he used the butt of the rifle to pin the Quarian against the wall and taking her knife and using it in a striking position. Jack noticed a similar design on the Quarian's suit. The Quarian took a deep breath expecting the final strike.
I'm coming Shepard….
Tali opened her eyes as she saw the armored Human sheathing the blade on her leg. Jack removed the rifle from her and reloading it with his ammunition. Tali's eyes widened only she and Shepard had the ammunition for that Rifle.
"Tali…"
You're Alive?
"Shepard?..."
Jack removed his helmet revealing his face.
"Remember the night when I gave you that Geth data pad, did it complete your pilgrimage."
Tali's heart began to race, Shepard returned to her, it must've been fate. Tali immediately removed her face plate and jumped on Shepard locking lips with him. Her legs wrapped around his waist, and Jack held his right hand under her rear quarters, keeping her up. Leng and the Ground team walked in seeing the room was littered with Quarians on the ground groaning in pain.
Jack set Tali down.
"Tali what are you doing here?"
Tali placed back on her faceplate.
"We were here to rescue Vetor that was on his pilgrimage."
"All right… Leng get these guys up, maybe Vetor knows why the colony went dark…. Ground team! Let's aide the Migrant Fleet Marines in finding Vetor."
The Ground team along with the recovered Marines went through a maze of Colony shelters, while combating Rogue Mechs. A YMIR Mech got in Jack's way but the thing didn't last long, as Jack blew it's head off with Jack's recovered black Widow. Jack ordered the Ground team except, Leng to clear the area as they extracted Vetor. Jack walked in to the room seeing Vetor speaking gibberish.
Tali approached Vetor.
"Vetor we're here to bring you back to the fleet."
"No Vetor, must hide, monsters are coming, swarms of monsters."
Jack pulled Tali back and pointed his Colt at the screen and discharged his weapon.
"Shepard!" Yelled Tali.
Vetor turned around, to see where that shot came from.
"Your Human, how did they not find you?"
The next few minutes Vetor explained what happened to the Colony… The Collectors… Leng was archiving the data in his Omni-tool.
"Great, Shepard grab Vetor, so we can ship him to Salora Station."
Tali was shocked hearing that they would be taking one of her people.
"What?! Vetor needs medical treatment not an interrogation."
"We're not going to hurt him, we have our own Medical equipment for you Quarians, have you forgot?"
Tal turned to Shepard, with sympathetic eyes behind her mask.
"Shepard Please…"
"Leng he's traumatized and needs medical attention, Tali will give us the data on his Omni-tool, and the Migrant Fleet Marines will send Vetor back."
Leng shrugged his shoulders, stating he had no problem with that. Leng and Vetor left the room leaving Tali and Shepard to catch up.
"You'll get used to Leng, he's not a bad guy once you get used to him."
Tali looked at the ground, then back at Jack's eyes.
"Shepard… I have to make sure Vetor makes it back to the fleet… and they'll be giving me more missions… and-"
Shepard picked Tali up pinning her body down on the table.
"S-Shepard!"
Shepard gave off a deviant smile, of what he saw Tali do in her room through his N7 Helmet feed.
[Command Interface] Hack Suit Commands/Local Programs/Nerve Stimulation Deluxe Edition/ Sensitivity Nine.
A buzzing could be felt all over Tali's body. Tali began to Moan to the stimulation from her program built in to the suit, her hands went around Shepard's face.

Jack gave off a small laugh, while placing a hand under her legs and one behind her back, picking Tali up in her weak state .
"Wh-what are you doing Shepard…"
"Kidnapping you, You're going to like the Normandy Tali."
Tali weakly balled a fist and struck Shepard on the chest.
"No… you Bosh'tet.. You can't… Kidnap me, I got commitments to the Quarian People."
Jack approached the group, with Tali.
"Yeah so let's head back to the Kodiak, right now."
Leng looked at Tali, She said she's coming with us?
"Yeah sure lets go."
As the Ground Team quickly made their way Tali, couldn't help herself but think about what just happened.
"Keelah, I just want him to rip this suit off of me, and make love to me right here and now, I don't care if others are watching."
The Kodiak made its way towards the Normandy, as it landed Shepard headed in to the elevator still holding Tali, who was now quiet and tense.
"You're not mad are you?"
"Bosh'tet… You made me worry for Two Years that you were dead! Where were you?"
Jack placed Tali down, who was still wobbly.
"Medical induced Coma, I was down under, I'm sorry Tali… I saw how much pain you were in…"
Tali's eyes looked at Jack.
"What do you mean?"
"My Implants connected to the Helmet feed that was on your bed side table… I wanted speak through the feed and tell you that I was alive… Plus…. I saw you Naked a couple of times, which I promise not to bring up again…"
The Elevator door opened to deck one, The Captain's Cabin.
"Keelah, is this your room."
"Ours, Tali… It's a double bed."
Tali walked by the fish tank rubbing her gloved hands along the glass, she even saw the bathroom door, she entered it and saw it had a shower.
"Tali I'm going to need your help… I need you."
Tali rushed to Shepard grabbing him and pulling him in for a hug.
"Keelah, It's really you…"
"I missed you Tali… Come on let's head down to the CIC."
Tali and Shepard left 'their' room and headed towards the elevator, their adventure was just the beginning.
