Chapter 31: The Scientist
The Quarantine was the best route, Archangel could hold out for a little longer, but if the doctor dies from the plague, it could throw a wrench in the operation of the mission. The Quaratine zone's plague was deadly to all non-human species, except Vorcha, which seemingly seemed immune to the disease, this made Humans in this sector a target.
Not wanting to risk the others, only Jack and Leng proceeded into the area. Around the two were corpses being burnt to prevent spread from the bodies.
"Burning the bodies to prevent the infection from spreading, I remember from our archives that several of our Governments did that during the Great Ebola epidemic of 2014, that was messed up." Stated Leng.
"Let's just stick to the task at hand, I'm worried about the doctor's status right now." Replied Jack.
Leng turned his head towards Shepard as they made a turn to the next corner.
"Shepard that's not all that's bothering you, it's about Tali?"
Jack checked the next corner checking if there were any hostiles, before looking back at Leng.
"I'm worried for her that's all, it's not keeping me from the mission…. If that's what you were wondering."
Leng took the lead by checking the corridors.
"That and….. well…"
The next room before leading to the clinic was littered with more corpses, this time it was littered with Blue Sun mercenaries.
"Well what?" Jack fired off a round from his AR-15 into a patrolling Vorcha.
"Aren't you worried about May?"
Jack stopped in his tracks, hearing that name, he let Leng continue.
"I mean May is going to be revived soon, how do you think she's going to react when you're dating someone else?"
A charging Blood pack Krogan was easily avoided by the two, Leng elbowed the Krogan in the spine making him fall over, leaving Jack to snap his neck.
"I'll deal with it when the time comes, but right now let's get back to the mission."
As Jack and Leng made their way towards the clinic the crew were lounging at purgatory, Zoey sat by Tali who was drinking.
"Tali I didn't know you could drink Human drinks?"
Tali downed another shot.
"Jack gave me this serum that not only fixed my Immune system but made me able to ingest human food."
Zoey was concentrating on Tali's problem right now, this was a similar stage she experienced after the First Contact War, Zoey didn't believe that Tali had the strength to go through that path.
"Tali… do you want to talk about what happened?"
Tali put down her drink turning her attention towards Zoey.
"What's there to talk about? [Hic] I get betrayed and humiliated by my own government?"
Zoey rubbed Tali's back, trying to comfort her.
"Tali I know what it feels like, to be betrayed and humiliated like that…. It's happened to me before too."
Tali looked at Zoey with interested eyes.
"What do you mean?"
As Zoey was telling Tali everything about her past during the First Contact War, Jack and Leng made it to the clinic.
The Desperation of both Human and Non-Human species is visible, The Blue Suns must be forcing the residents in this despair…

Warning a signal PR receiver has been activated, a Subject has awaken.
Looks like we'll be dropping by the station to pick the subject up. -002
Jack and Leng approached the Salarian scientist.
"Doctor Modin Solus?"
The Doctor turned around to see his new visitors.
"Who are you? Armed group, Blue suns? No, No, Blue suns would never get past security mechs, could be infiltration units-"
Jack held up his hand interrupting him.
"We're from Cerberus Doctor Solus, were here to retrieve you for an important mission."
Mordin shut his Omni-tool off.
"Mission, what mission?"
"The Collectors are abducting Human Colonies, and we need your help." Replied Jack.
Mordin's eyes focused on Jack after hearing about the Collectors.
"hmm Collectors may have hand in creation of plague, I'll help, but first plague needs to be cured, have vaccine, but must be administrated in the ventilation system."
The room goes dark, and clinic switches to emergency Generators.
Warning the Blood pack have hit the power conduit, without power, the patients have no chance of survival, since most of these machines draw much of the energy from the conduit.
Jack and Leng promised Mordin to administrate the cure through the ventilation system on the promise of joining the mission.

Location Salora Station/Reconstruction Pods- Fronted with Project Lazarus
Pod 99 was blinking Red, the room was pitch black and the only noise in the room was the hum of the machines emanating from the pods. A fist came out of the steel pod covered in red liquid, followed by another fist. The hands tore open a gaping hole on the top of the pod. Leaning up from the pod, came out May who bared all with sticky plugs all over her body, May coughed up the red liquid, then proceeded to gasp for air. Her eyes lit up as she scanned her area.

Jack and Leng were cutting through Vorcha soldiers trying to reach the ventilation rooms on opposite sides, Jack and Leng decided to split up to get the cure in first. Jack fired at a pyro Vorcha in its gas canister causing a chain reaction with the fuel canisters nearby, wiping out three squads of blood pack. Leng took a more direct approach hacking his way past the defenders reaching the room with ease. Both Jack and Leng administrated the cure in simultaneously; it took a minute for the ventilation system to cycle the cure through the air.

Ending it right here, I got hit with a bad fever, so I didn't have time to write, plus my C++ homework, that's been piling up like crazy, from my fast moving class. I'll try to get in more stories.
