Chapter 37: Aftermath of Horizon
Jack stepped in the comm room, waiting for the panel to connect him to The Illusive Man for debriefing. As Jack connected through to The Illusive Man, he could tell he was in a good mood, from the events at Horizon.
"Shepard you did it, saving the Colony while successfully saving the colonists, before they were taken from the Colony. You did exceptionally well, because of this the Collectors will be more careful of the Colonies they target…. I knew my faith in Project Renegade was well placed… As for the Collector Ship you left us behind, we're having engineers observe the technology, using it to better understand and combat the Reaper forces. "
Jack stood their patiently as always as he was in the presence of The Illusive Man.
"What have you found out with the Collector Ships technology?"
The Illusive Man put down his drink in his cup holder on the chair.
"We're still analyzing it, combining our technology with Collectors, will give us an edge over the Reapers and beyond, I'm sending EDI blue prints on our Thanix Cannons, it should help you in your fight against the Collectors."
The Thanix Project would serve the Normandy well in their war efforts.
"Thank you sir… I'll continue to build up my team, while getting them ready for the Collectors."
The Illusive Man shifted in his chair while activating the incoming information on the Collector Ship.
"Good luck Shepard."
The Panel deactivated, leaving Shepard to head towards Mordin Solus, who was busy working on projects.
"Ah Shepard, need to talk…. It's important."
Jack felt like something was going on.
"Is something wrong Dr. Solus?"
Mordin seemed distracted, distraction could cause problems on the mission, distractions could compromise the mission and that was unacceptable.
"STG, just sent me a report, that a colleague of mine, was seen on Tuchanka… with the Blood Pack… conclusions always end the same, colleague dies a painful death…. While he's on Tuchanka, I can't concentrate on the mission."
Jack held up his hand, stating to calm down.
"We'll head to the Krogan DMZ, As soon as possible."
A smile was placed on Mordin Solus's face.
"Thank you Shepard."
While Jack was checking on the needs of his crew, Tali was in the cabin, reading the messages on her Omni-Tool.

Four Day's old
Title: Tali please reply, I'm worried about you!
Tali, I just heard what happened… please believe me, I didn't realize a trial was occurring… I'm sorry I wasn't there for you, The Captain of the Neema disowning you, Raan lying to you to protect her position, and the stunt Korris just pulled on the fleet… please contact me sweetie…

Tali closed her Extranet messaging, letting out a loud sigh, before falling back on the bed, Tali looked up through the window above their bedroom, losing herself in the stars going by. Tali got up from the bed and proceeded to the restroom, but before she could enter it the holo pad lit up, catching Tali's attention.
Tali? EDI asked.
Tali was still trying to get over the fact of the A.I. her boyfriend kept from her.
"Yes EDI?"
"hepard, asked me if you needed anything… from scans of the room my analysis reports that you are stressed.
Tali made a sarcastic scoff, knowing Shepard would try to interfere again.
"I'm fine EDI, I'm just getting ready for a date."
EDI's holo was silent for a few seconds, then spoke up, stopping Tali from heading towards the restroom.
Can I assist?
Tali was a bit shocked from hearing that from EDI.
"I—How would you… No thank you…"
You do not need to worry Tali, I've covered this topic with Subject 100…
Tali, who still had her face plate off, just gave EDI a confused look, not knowing who she was talking about.
"Uh…"
Oh my apologies, it seems you are not up to par with Project Renegade, Shepard's previous Girlfriend…. May.
Hearing her name, Tali immediately thought of Shepard's previous relationship.
"I'm just going to touch up my suit, make it more… presentable, to Shepard…"
Have you thought about Cosmetics?
Tali never put on makeup, even though she wanted some as a child, her Father would say it would be a waste of resources.
"I don't have any… and besides…. I never wore makeup in my life… "
Perhaps your acquaintance Kasumi Goto would have some pointers…
It was no secret that Kasumi wore makeup… then again so did the convict down in engineering [Jack]… Though it was no secret that she is trying to get in with her boyfriend Shepard, so Tali used her communicator, to call Kasumi. The communicator beeped for a few seconds before getting an answer.
"Hey Tali, what can I do for you?"
Tali was acting nervous, she tried to calm herself to talk.
"Uh… Kasumi—I … I need help with putting on some…. Makeup…. Kasumi? …. Hello?"
The line went dead, Tali shook when she heard the Ventilation shaft busted open in the ceiling of the cabin, Kasumi dropped from the shaft, carrying a pack of makeup, she immediately rushed towards Tali's side, making a gleeful squeal, seeing Tali's unmasked face as she blushed.
"Tali, you should've told me, that you wanted to use makeup, I'll gladly help with that…. Now lets get that color that looks great on your lips!"
Tali felt nervous of using make up, more so with Kasumi with a deviant smile searching through her pack. Down in the shuttle bay Jack and Leng were sparring hand to hand, Leng threw a punch at Shepard, causing him to slide across the deck, leaving him open for another attack. As Leng closed the distance, Jack kicked him down, and then with the same foot, kicked him up to the ceiling. Leng regained his stance as he fell down to strike Jack from the air. From the window on the Engineering deck, Grunt with a smile on his face saw his battle master and his companion fight it out, while [Jack] licked her lips from the fight going on.
"HA! Hit him again Shepard!" Shouted Grunt
"Shit Shepard's got some moves; I bet he can take on ten Krogan without breaking a sweat."
Grunt laughed, hearing her comment.
"No, a Thresher Maw!"
Leng grabbed Shepard tossing him at the window cracking it, Jack just dusted himself off, before charging at Leng. Jack smacked Leng down to the ground, as Leng got up, Jack head butted him to the ground, causing Grunt smile. Zoey approached Grunt and [Jack] watching Shepard and Leng spar.
"Wow they're really at it huh?"
[Jack] chuckled a bit when she saw Shepard throw Leng on a metal crate breaking it.
"No shit Purple, whose name I don't know, my bets are on Shepard."
As the Jack and Leng continued to fight, Kasumi and Tali were preoccupied with the makeup.
"So Tali, how about some eyeliner with your red lipstick?"
Tali looked at herself in the mirror, seeing what the makeup did for her.
"Whatever you think is best Kasumi…"
If I might offer a suggestion, on the applied cosmetics on Tali…
Back at the shuttle bay, Leng and Jack were mimicking each other's fighting style, Jack and Leng punched eachother square in the jaws, then in the chests, neither of them flinching from the amount of pain, both of them did a twist kick, but Jack was quicker knocking him to the other side of the wall. Jack approached Leng who sat against the wall sighing from his defeat, he looked up as Jack offered him a hand, to help him up, Leng grudgingly accepted it.
"Damn Shepard, those upgrades really pack a punch."
"Wait you mean you didn't get the upgrades?"
Leng shook his head.
"No, you were implanted with prototype implants, while the others including me got the standardized equipment, upgraded but not nearly near yours."
Jack thought about his platoon's upgrades, but cast the thought from his mind, when he saw EDI contact him through his Renegade Vision.
Shepard, Mr. Moreau, has requested that I tell you we have arrived to our destination.
001: Thanks EDI, Tell Tali to meet me on Deck Two, also inform Miranda, Jacob, Zoey, Bethora, Garrus, Kasumi, Zaeed, Jacob, May and Grunt to report to Deck 2 for departure…. I'll inform Leng to come along.

Back in Shepard's Cabin, Tali placed her face plate on while putting on her whitish cloth for her suit (Loyalty Outfit.) Tali tried to push her breasts together to make it look bigger, she breathed out, feeling disappointed, but decided to tucker through it, seeing she has other parts to her, that gets Shepard interested. Tali made her way to the elevator, as Kasumi waited there for Tali.

Authors Note: Hey Guys sorry about the slow update… KOEI one of my Favorite Game companies, announce that Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires would be in English Dubs that was Three Weeks ago… Now they decide to say, Oh it's not going to be in Eng Dubs, but poorly Translated English Subs… So that sucks, I hope they go back on that decision… Any ways this note will be going on the next chapters on my Stories…
