Chapter 41: Things Left Unsaid
It felt like to Tali there was a gap of feelings between Shepard and herself, worrying that she couldn't keep up with her boyfriend. She lost him once it nearly killed her... if she loses him again she didn't know if her heart could take it, though the sight of May talking the way she did with her boyfriend made her want to wretch from sickness. To Tali's perspective competing for Shepard's attention with May was like fighting a computer... a computer she couldn't hack and command to go space herself... May and Shepard had such history together that it was a direct threat to Tali's claim to him.
The way she looked at him her eyes held hunger and intention it made Tali want to wring her neck, but remembered what Shepard said about May, all she could do is hurt her. May was like a flirt to Tali's perspective.
"Shepard... can I t-talk with you?" Tali interrupted May and Jack conversing, which caused May and Jack to look at her. The immediate dead stare the two gave Tali made her shiver a bit.
"Sure, talk with you in a minute May."
Hearing that May gave him a friendly smack on the back, approaching Jake to see how he was holding up.
"What's up Tali?" Jack asked leaning on the rail guard in the cargo sector of the room.
"Shepard do... do you Love me?" Tali blurted out making fist in her gloved hands shaking from that comment.
That caused Jack to take a step closer grabbing her hands keeping it from trembling.
"That came out of no where didn't it? Tali what brought this on?" Jack asked putting his right hand on Tali's left shoulder causing her to lean her helmet on his shoulder.
"It's just that... when I see you and May talking the way you do... you look happier with her, than with me... and you didn't answer my question" Tali said looking up to Shepard through his helmet.
"Tali I already told you, I- (Ping!) hold on... (Holds the intercom) It's Jack, what's the status Leng?... So the Assassin has been recruited? …... You sent Nick after the Justicar?... How's that going? …...No Shit? Alright May and I will rendezvous with Nick... , no we need to go in quick and quiet if it's an escaped convict, Leng can you meet up with Liara?... Yeah I'll hand over the crew to your command... No it should be simple extraction... Liara has to meet with a contact just make sure she gets it... Right... Wait who came out of the pod?... Alright... I'll send the coordinates to the ground team they'll meet up with you at Liara's apartment... Good Hunting Leng, Shepard out."
Jack deactivated the comm channel, then looking back at Tali.
"You need to meet up with Leng, he's going to need help while May and I extract the Justicar..."
Tali tried to reach for Jack as he approached May.
"Tali we'll talk later I promise." Jack said to Tali as he continued to walk towards May.

Joker was carefully walking back to the cockpit from taking a quick trip to the bathroom, he nearly fell over from tripping on the lights leading to the cockpit.
"Shit, last time I drink coffee in the evening... hey EDI did anything happen when I - "
Joker's eyes widened as in the cockpit was Sarah who was sitting in the Co-pilot seat typing in the commands.
"Hey EDI can you shift Auxiliary power to the venting, I don't want an accident in engineering from the build up of the exhaust."
"One Moment..."
Sarah flipped a holographic power conduit on the console causing some of the lights to flicker. Joker however was still in shock, of who was in his piloting his ship.
"Uh... okay I'm just going to come out in say this... who are you?"
Sarah turned the co-pilot's chair around facing Joker, she was in a Cerberus uniform with the Project Renegade symbol on her right shoulder. Her eyes were a Crimson red and her face showed no signs of the Project scars.
"Hello, you must be Jeff Monreau, I'm Sarah a member from Project Renegade number ten, I'll be assisting you on the Normandy helping you pilot her, from your disability."
Joker crossed his arms giving Sarah a suspicious gaze, then at EDI giving her a glare.
"EDI is this trying to get back at me for rubbing grease on your monitors?" Joker asked as if he was being replaced.
"No... Mr. Monreau Sarah has been requested to assist in the piloting of the Normandy from The Illusive Man."
Joker just rolled his eyes making a small scoffing noise, catching the attention of both EDI and Sarah.
"Figures... alright so let me get the basics down... I pilot the Normandy, you just sit there in your D-sized breasts... sweet Jesus those things are nice..."
Sarah just looked down at her breasts gasping from what he was thinking, she crossed her arms against her chest glaring at Joker.
"Hey! I've been a pilot ever since I was Five! So don't you think for a second that I can't fly a Frigate!"
"Whoa! first off I never said you couldn't fly, I just said I was piloting and I got off track by a certain object..."
"Sexist pig!" Sarah spat as she stood up from her chair.
"Tank Born!" Joker shot back letting him stand up from his piloting chair.
"Crippled Clown!" Sarah said stepping closer.
"Balloon breasted bimbo!" Joker said inches away from her face.
Sarah grabbed Joker's collar bringing him in for a kiss, while Joker grabbed her butt pulling her down on his chair.
"Sexual activities shouldn't be performed in-"
Sarah hacked in to EDI's console in the cockpit, logging EDI out of the room.
"Holy Shit! You can do that?!" Joker asked as he broke of the kiss.
Sarah just quietly and quickly nodded, while Joker smashed his lips on Sarah nearly breaking his neck.

The ride in the sky car for May was peaceful to say at the least, the two shot glimpses at each other with May giving him a sensual smile, while Jack gave off a quick laugh from remembering what she was thinking.
May activated the mission on her data pad, seeing the details of the mission.
"So the simple extraction didn't go as planned? "
"No Lengs says Nick contacted him saying the Justicar is under arrest and refuses to leave Illium until she finds her convict before it didn't mention of what gender it was, escapes Illium."
The sky car stopped from the traffic pile up in mid-air which caused Jack to roll his eyes under his helmet, he thought of just flying over them but the law enforcement would probably slow them down causing time to be wasted on Illium. May deactivated the data pad, minimizing it to a metal pen before putting it back in her pack. May turned over in her seat facing Jack, she moved her hands over to Jack's helmet unlocking the seals, causing Jack to pay attention what May was doing.
"May what are you doing?" Jack asked as May set aside his helmet, on the car seat.
May put her gloved gloved hand on Jack's cheek rubbing the textures of the scars.
"I just felt like seeing your face... why did you decide to keep the scars instead of getting rid of most of them in surgery?"
Before the First Contact War, some of the Project Renegade members went in to facial reconstruction to fix the scars, though some couldn't be removed yet like the small one on May's jaw line on her right cheek.
"I like to stand out in the crowd need I say more?" Jack said with a semi serious face, causing May to giggle.
Without even thinking May slowly leaned up to Jack's face tilting her head, connecting the two lips together, May mounted Jack moving her hands around Jack's face, while Jack moved his left hand on May's back and leaving his right to stray on her rear pushing her ever closer. May hacked the vehicle to make it set down on the surface of Illium, as she continued to assault Jack's lips. May broke off the kiss hitting a command key on her arm tool, causing her armor to unseal letting her slide down from her top half of her body, Jack's mouth connected to the mound of flesh teasing the bud, he suckled it causing May to gasp from the feeling giving Jack the time to move up to her lips.

Ash rained down upon the ground team as the watched the building explode on the top three floors, with Leng starring in disbelief someone pulled a fast one over him... again!
"Fuck Me! Alright Ground team this doesn't change anything, lets get in there and get Liara out... MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!"
The Bulk of the ground team moved in to the entrance leaving Spectre Vasir went in to her sky car to circle around to land on the top of the building.
"Contact!" Zoey Shouted as Mass velocity rounds hit Leng several times damaging his shield. Leng took out a Sub Machine gun and began firing down the hallway taking out three of the mercenaries dressed in a white armor.
"Meet the Shadow Broker's own personal private army, he must really want your friend dead to do this." Vasir said over the intercom.
"Garrus, Zoey Take Sniping Point on the stairs, Jake move in to flank the Mercenaries on the door with Zaeed! Grunt have at it!"
Grunt made a blood cry as he slammed into multiple mercenaries throwing them all over the place. Miranda and (Jack) began throwing warps at the enemy biotics causing a biotic firestorm near the stairs.

The Agriculture Geth Unit moved up to the Communication hub sending out a distress signal that never went through the Reaper corpse.

"We must set a trap for Shepard, his involvement is causing our forces inconvenience if possible Capture Shepard, so we may suit him for our purpose. Send out a ship and pretend to be deactivated from an attack, mask a Turian Hierarchy patrol signal, before they were destroyed out to Cerberus Command thinking they captured a signal hoping to gather more intel on our forces.
