Chapter 42: Embers ignite
Jack manuvered the speeder to land while the Illium Authorities were standing by in case something went wrong. Jack inside the vehicle saw May fixing her seals on her arms making sure she was combat ready, after the incident involving the two.
"May?"
May gave Jack a smile hearing him call her name, hoping it was the question she was hoping to get.
"Yes Jack?" May answered back leaning in closer.
Jack held her at arms length as he sealed his helmet.
"This Doesn't get back to Tali... what we did, don't mention this to her she's already under a lot of stress..."
May quickly nodded leaving Jack to open up the door leaving May to follow in suite.
"The Police Station should be that building ahead of us, stand by in case anything goes wrong May... we might have to shoot our way out... the looks on these bystanders are probably against Cerberus standing on the Galaxy right now."
"Roger that." May acknowledged equipping her stakeout shotgun.
The two entered the Police Station on the intent on to rendezvous with Nick. The two stopped when they saw Nick covered in a different of assortment of blood sitting by the Asari Justicar. Nick sat up holding a hand out to for Jack to shake, which Jack quickly responded.
"Nick you look like hammered Shit what happened?"
"Well you want the Good News or the Bad?" Nick asked seeing both May and Jack.
"Bad..." May and Jack said in Unison.
"Well I couldn't finish my mission because there was a Fucking Gun ship halting my advance ... the Good news is that the Justicars convict is not on Illium so we don't have to stay here... though Samara here feels obligated to clean up the Eclipse Mercenaries."
"Do you know why we contacted you Samara?" Jack asked stepping in front of Samara.
"Yes I've read the mission report, and I feel honored that a organization such as yours would ask for taking on a mission of yours." Samara said hopping off the table.
"Then you know the importance of our mission, every hour we waste another Colonist is in the clutches of the Collectors... I will not allow that, I'll contact a local Cerberus division and let them clean up the mess, but my mission takes importance over this right now... so I'll ask you this are you in or out?"

The top floor was a mess and Liara's contact Dead, Leng observed the contacts corpse pulling off a data drive from his corpse.
"Damn, if I was just a few seconds earlier I could've saved him... oh well... It looks like your friend is nowhere to be seen... here let me see that data drive."
Vasir took the data from Leng before he had the chance to pocket the device as he stands up from the floor.
"It's Cerberus Property now... I'm handing it to Shepard, it's his decision what to do with it." Leng stated facing Vasir.
"Hold that thought..." Vasir announced as Liara entered the room whose armor was scorched.

Jack, Nick, May, and Samara were in the speeder moving to meet up with Leng.
"So this is it meet up with the group and help Liara?" Nick asked Jack who was concentrating on driving.
"Yeah though we have to hurry, Kelly pinged me she said I have a message from The Illusive Man..."

Jack disengaged from Traffic going off course.
"Buckle up, we're deviating off of course, the ground team has a situation with a Rogue Spectre..."

Leng's black speeder car ahead of several different colored ones was chasing Vasir's speeder car while evading traffic.
"That double crossing Bitch!" Leng snarled as he evaded a truck.
"Do you think Shepard will get here in time?" Jake asked Leng as he checked his rifle.
"I'm counting on it! Team three stay on my six!" Leng yelled into the intercom.
Miranda looked at the map on the holographic interface.
"If were fast enough we can cut her off at the Azure Suite... we have to hurry reports of Shadow Broker's troops are moving in..."
"Leng Ten O Clock!" Jake shouted causing Leng's optic eyeware to shoot to that location.
Leng immediately saw a Red speeder slam to Vasir's speeder causing it to lose speed.
"Son of a Bitch he did it! Good on you Shepard!" Leng cheered

"Jake take the wheel... She's mine!" Leng said as he locked speed of the speeder.
The black speeder's door opened up showing Leng unsheathing his blade, Leng hopped off his seat and on to Vasir's vehicle stepping on the glass then on the hood. Vasir fired off fifteen rounds at Leng trying to knock him off the hood of her speeder. Leng held his blade firmly in his grasp he looked at the windshield and plunged the blade directly into her engine causing the vehicle to spark and immediately smoke.
"Damn it!" Vasir shouted as she was losing control of her speeder.
Jack opened up his speeder door allowing Leng to jump in, but not before flipping off Vasir as her speeder plummeted to the landing bay of the Suite.
Jack activated a planetary wide intercom for friendlies in the area.
"This is Commander Jack Shepard of the Hell Dog Platoon, to all Cerberus or Alliance Forces in my area, I am currently in pursuit of a Rogue Spectre Tela Vasir who is crashing at the Azure Suite, any corresponding units zero in on her location and immediately detain her, Shepard out! "

Vasir opened up the door of her speeder clutching her side as she held her carnifix handgun, two Alliance soldiers moved in to apprehend the Spectre, Vasir took an immediate notice firing two shots point blank killing them.
"This is Vasir I need back up now!" Vasir yelled in to the intercom.
Vasir's eyes widen as she saw the several speeders that were chasing her zeroing in on the landing bay. Vasir made a quick turn to enter the suite though immediately stopped when a Cerberus Phantom throat punched Vasir stunning her, while a Cerberus Centurion and a Dragoon tackled her, down the steps.
Jack followed by the ground team to move in on Vasir saw several dozen Cerberus and Alliance troops moving in on their position securing the area.
The Cerberus Phantom armed with a Mattock, who stunned Vasir approached Jack.
"Commander, Captain Naley Special Operator of Flaming Claw division... we heard your call and detained Spectre Vasir for you... sorry we're late for the party."
Jack immediately shook her hand "No problem we appreciate the assist."
The Dragoon and the Centurion got Vasir on her feet dragging her to Jack. Leng took the data drive handing it to Liara on Jack's request.
Jack leaned down to Vasir glaring at her through his helmet.
"If there's one thing I don't like it's a fucking Rat..."
Vasir spat at Jack's helmet leaving him to wipe the saliva off his helmet.
"Charming... Gentlemen..." Jack nodded at the Dragoon.
Seeing the command the Dragoon kneed Vasir in the back while the Centurion held her in place. The Dragoon lifted his steel clad boot bringing down on her right leg then her left satisfied with the shrieks of pain emitting from Vasir the two Cerberus soldiers brought her off to a landing Cerberus Kodiak so she may be interrogated to find out what else she knows.

Jack was driving his speeder with Tali sitting in the passenger seat by him.
"So... Shepard... um where are we going?"
"We're going to have to order a take out... I have a priority red transmission with The Illusive Man... something's going on."
Tali slumped in her seat unclasping her mask, looking at Jack, who stopped to see her face with makeup on it.
"You applied cosmetics?" Jack stated seeing her face for the first time with makeup on it.
"I thought it was a good idea at the time for our date..."
Jack rubbed Tali on the back causing her to turn her head towards him again.
"I'm sorry Tali, we'll have to reschedule it..."
"No rest for the wicked huh?" Tali stated
The two shared a quiet moment in the speeder, trying to keep it peaceful on their ride to the Normandy.

Jack stepped in to the CIC waiting for the room's holo interface to form so he may speak to The Illusive Man.
"Shepard, we got something, a Collector Ship was disabled by a Turian Patrol fleet, but not before the patrols were destroyed in the process..."
"Why do we need to go after this one? what about the ship on Horizon?"
The Illusive Man put down his drink bringing up the information.
"Though acquiring that ship was a huge technology win for us it was damaged in the process, if we can salvage any technology before the Turians come back then we can use whatever they have on their ship to our advantage."
"All right we'll get on it.. I'll have to divide the team dropping one group to go after the Shadow Broker, while I'll take a team to engage the Collectors." Jack stated putting his hands behind his back.
"Sounds like a plan Commander, I'll provide a Cerberus Carrier to assist in the mission against the shadow broker, with luck we'll kill two birds with one stone."
"Here's hoping..." Jack said loading his rifle.
"Good luck Shepard we're all counting on you..."

Jack moved towards the cockpit door seeing it locked his head cocked to the side.

The door opened with Jack stepping in seeing both Joker and Sarah nude in the piloting chair. The room was dead quiet with Jack, Joker, and Sarah's eyes widened not saying a word.
"uhh..." Joker stated.
Sarah who was sitting on Joker's lap quickly shot to her feet, causing Joker to slouch over from the pain, Sarah quickly gave Jack a salute.
"Number 010, Sarah reporting for duty again Sir!"
"Sarah this is not an appropriate attire for you to be in, make yourself decent... and don't hack EDI out of the room..." Sarah quickly picked up her clothing changing in to her attire.
Jack activated the panel allowing EDI's orb to appear.
Thank You Shepard as I told them the cockpit is not an appropriate place for sexual activities...
Joker was quickly slipping his uniform letting Jack give out a sigh as he stepped out of the room.

Okay so to wrap up this short chapter, here is how it's going down for the future chapters.
Teams will begin to divide to take on objectives to speed up the process of preparing for the mission, capturing the Shadow Broker's facility will cause Cerberus to quickly go through the files and find something in mid way through ME 3.
An Old flames might cause Jack to try to date both May and Tali, Jack doesn't understand what it means to be Human so he's not an expert on relationships, though he's not oblivious about it.
Also future Update: I've started a Youtube channel posting Walkthrough's for now some will have commentary though that channel is dedicated to you guys for your support.
Also I have a Demon Shepard forum for those who read the story to hang out on ask questions about the future of the series.
