Lara came into the cafe with a smile on her face. When she saw Jem she looked around for Kya. When she didn't see her little sister she turned back to Jem. "Where's Kya?"
Jem only pointed upward. Lara looked and realized he was pointing at the vent. "Why?"
"She pissed off Arcas so now she's in hiding."
"Okay. Where's Arcas?"
"Probably drinking in his cabin." Jem girned.
"Karabast! Not again!" Lara hissed as she went to see what Arcas was up too. She didn't bother knocking before entering Arcas's cabin. Arcas only laid on his bunk with one arm slung over his eyes and the other tucked under his head. He's steady breathing and silence told Lara he was sleeping.
Arcas would have thrown a boot at her for entering without knocking first, especially if he was drunk. Lara smiled and left the room. If Arcas was asleep then the only trouble maker she had to keep an eye on was Nova.
Lara tried to get Kya out of the vent but the artist wouldn't budge. Kya and Nova were the only two small enough to fit in the vents and that's where they hid when Arcas was mad at them. Lara soon gave up on Kya and went to her room to meditate. Platt, realizing Arcas was asleep took the bow-rifle and began cleaning it.
"He never takes care of Zebby's stuff." Platt grumbled to himself
"We got ties!" Nova yelled as she ran through the ship to the cockpit. Lara emerged from her room and took the controls. They took to the skies and were shot out. The ship jolsted and Lara tried to out maneuver them. The Ghost jostled as another Tie that got a shot.
Suddenly the cockpit door hissed open and there stood Arcas, looking irritated He looked from Lara to Nova. "What's it take to get a little sleep around here?" Arcas complained, clearly having a hangover from drinking too much.
"We got Ties little brother. If you want to be helpful you can go to your happy place and shoot them for me." Lara said softly
Arcas made a face but went to the turret. Once safely in hyperspace Arcas returned to his room. "Any one wakes me, they die!" He paused at the door and looked back at his family. "Oh and happy sad day." He said before disappearing into his room.
"Happy birthday Arcy." Lara said softly, even though he couldn't hear her. This was the only day Lara tolerated Arcas's drinking. . . It has eight years ago . .
Lara sat at the booth in the commerces with the others gathered around her as they went over the plan for their newest mission. The only members of the crew who were not participating in the mission was thirteen year old Platt and nine year old Nova.
"The wookies will be here." Lara pointed at the map of the transport vehicle they were infiltrating. "We're going to have to contact them. Jem has codes he jacked off one of the imps ships so that'll help. But we're not taking any chances. Kya and I will enter the cell through this ventilation shaft. That's where Arcas, Dad, Kanan and Zeb come in. You guys take out the guards. Jem, you do whatever you need to get that cell open without setting off the alarm, okay?"Jem nodded. "Good. Hera you be ready to leave. Once we have the wookies we're out of there. In case something goes wrong, Kya I want you to lace the ships vents with bombs. Mom you hold our escape route. Zeb, Kanan dad. You're all with me and the wookies."
"Her plans are just as bad as your's." Zeb grumbled to Kanan.
"Zeb, has any of my plans gone wrong so far?" Lara looked up at the Lasat.
"No." Zeb sighed.
"Than shut up." Lara smiled.
"Why am I having to work on my birthday?" Arcas grumbled.
"We'll celebrate later Arcy."
"Fine." With that they went over two other back up plans before they all went to get ready.
"What about us?" Nova pouted up at Lara.
"You two stay here and make sure no one but our family gets on to the ship. Got it?"
"Yes sir!" Nova saluted and then went off the find Arcas.
Platt smiled. "I'll keep her safe."
"You better." Kanan said as he came from behind the two Bridgers. "If anything happens to my little girl I will hold you personally responsible."
"Master, I'm not going to let anything happen to her. I promise." Platt said nervously.
"I trust Platt to guard Nova Uncle Kanan. It'll be fine. This mission is going to be as easy as putting a bad idea in Arcas's head." Lara smiled at her master as she stepped up behind her brother.
Kanan nodded and looked over his shoulder as Zeb entered the room laughing. "That almost sounds like someone should sit out."
"I'm not that horrible." Arcas grumbled as he joined the others at the airlock door.
"Yes you are!" Zeb laughed.
"Lara I got the codes and I'm ready to contact the shuttle." Jem said over the communicator.
"Do it." Lara replied. Everyone going gathered at the door. They waited until they were docked to the shuttle. They all wore painted helmets. The second the door open Zeb knocked out the guards. Kya and Lara went into the vents and began to make their way to the cell where the wookiees were being held. Ezra, Kanan and Zeb went to the door and knocked out the guards there as they waited. Jem and Screws made their way to a smaller control room and Jem got to work.
Sabine heard foot steps and slide behind a corner, readying her blasters. She turned the corner and began firing. Horror filled the woman as she realized it was the Inquisitor. He deflect the shots and smirked at her. "Hello Insurgent."
"The Inquisitor-" Using the force the Inquisitor thew Sabine's communicator away from her.
"There will be no reinforcements." The Inquisitor ignited his lightsaber.
"The Inquisitor-" Sabine had started to say but suddenly cut off.
Horrified Lara instructed Kya to go on without her as she made her way back to her mother. Lara moved as fast as she could. She knew everyone would be in a panic right now and she knew her father would be racing to get to their mother. Lara found an opening and kicked the vent open. Scrambling out of it she froze in horror.
Her mother was on her knees, the side of the armor ripped open and bleeding in sickening amounts. Standing before Sabine was the Inquisitor. "No!" Lara screamed as she used the force to push the Pau'an back away from her mother. Lara ran to stand in between her mother and the dark side user.
"Ah youngling. You've grown. Let us see if your skills have improved as well."
Lara activated her lightsaber. "I'm going to cut that smirk right off your face." Lara hissed as she charged.
"Such dark words for a padawan." The Inquisitor grining menacing, blocking Lara's attack.
"Spook 1! Do you have Specter 5 in sight?!" It was Ezra's panicked tone that came through the com. Lara flipped back away from the Inquisitor.
"I got this! Stick to the plan." Lara commanded.
"No! Spook 1 you get out of there now!" This time it was Kanan.
"It seems as though your master does not think you can take me on." The Inquisitor's grin spread. "He is correct."
Lara blocked the Inquisitor as found herself being yanked back and thrown. She looked up and found Ezra standing between her and the Inquisitor. "Get you mother out of her!" Ezra yelled as he faced the Pau'an.
"Not without you!" Lara hissed as she rose to her feet.
Kanan was suddenly there pushing Lara further away from the Inquisitor. "Just do as you're told!"
"No!" Lara said definitely, but she looked over her shoulder. Arcas was picking their mother up off the floor carefully. He nodded at Lara and darted away.
"Go!" Kanan and Ezra both ordered.
"Such a defiant little thing. But at least now the fight is more interesting."
Taking his chance, Ezra lunged at the Pau'an, his lightsaber slicing through the air, only to be brought to a halt by his opponent's blade. Ezra quickly spun and aimed to land hit on the man's side, but found that he missed as the Inquisitor jumped out of range. The Pau'an then quickly charged back at the man and brought his blade ready to strike him down, however Kanan stepped into the fray and used his lightsaber to fend off the Inquisitor's attack. At his opponent's distraction, Ezra attacked the Pau'an again with his blade, but it was countered as the Inquisitor shot Kanan back into a wall with a force-push and blocked Ezra's attack with his now double bladed saber.
Suddenly a green blade joined in Kanan's stead. She wasn't as skilled in swordplay as her father or master, but she was managing to hold her ground against the dark being.
"I told you to get out of here!" Ezra snapped as he did his best to fend off attacks as well a attack back at their shared opponent.
"No! I'm not leaving you two here!"
"We got this! Now go help the others"
"I said no!" Lara practically screamed at her father, startling him and causing him to lose focus for a moment. Which was enough of an advantage for the Inquisitor to swing his blade around and hit the Jedi in the side. A cry of pain escaped Ezra's lips as he fell to one knee. "Dad!" Lara tried to rush to his side, but suddenly she was pushed back. Looking up, she expected to see the Inquisitor's palm outstretched, thinking he was the one to push her back, but instead she was shocked to see her father's hand facing out toward her.
"Get out of here, now!" The Inquisitor raised his blade ready to deliver the final blow.
"NO!" Lara screeched summoning every ounce of her power and slamming the Inquisitor into the wall. Kanan, having finally recovered from being forced into the wall, raced to aid Ezra, Lara's vision became blurred and she felt suddenly drained. She drooped to her knees and clung to consciousness the best she could.
"Tree! The lights!" Kanan yelled into his com. The lights went out and the jedi all deceived their lightsabers. Lara felt a strong hand at her elbow. They pulled her to feet and dragged her out of there. Once aboard they Ghost Hera took off. Lara's head cleared and she saw Arcas leaning over their mother. Lara and Ezra raced to Sabine's side.
"Mom!" She cried. She examined her mother with her eyes and looked her mother in the eyes. "It's just a scratch." Lara tried to smile. "You'll be fine."
"I love you Ezra Bridger." Sabine said as she looked to Ezra, tears rolling down her face.
"I love you Sabine Bridger." Ezra took one of Sabine's hand and held it to his lips.
"You'll be fine." Lara lied again, her voice shaking and tears rolling down her face.
"Promise me, Lara promise me you'll take care of your siblings." Sabine looked to Lara now.
"Yeah. Yeah I will. Like I've always done." Lara's body began to tremble.
"I love you a-" Sabine didn't finish, her eyes rolled back into her head and her body went limp.
"Mom?" Arcas and Lara whimpered at the same time. She was gone. "MOM!"
"SABINE!" Ezra cried out in hopeless loss.
Kya, Jem and Platt came down the ladder. Arcas threw himself at them. "Don't look!" He cried as he took the three of them into his arms. "You don't need to see her like that!" Arcas forced his younger siblings to look away from their mothers body but they knew what had happened. They buried their faces into Arcas's shoulders and began to sob.
Kanan rested a hand on Ezra's shoulder but he had become numb to the world as he stared at his wife. Lara knelt next to her mother and felt as if she were unable to breath. Darkness consumed Lara's vision . . .
They buried Sabine near the old tower, none of them could bring themselves to speak. Arcas, Ezra and Lara were beyond consolable. Ezra had locked himself in his room and refused to come out. He couldn't bare to look at his eldest daughter as she looked so much like Sabine. Lara blamed herself as it was her plan their were following. She did the best she could to take care of her siblings, but every now and then she'd start crying so hard her entire body shook and only Hera and Kanan were able to get close enough to her to be of any comfort. Arcas stayed in the turret and refused to speak to anyone but Lara. Kya, Jem and Platt followed Lara like lost pets. It was weeks before they got news on the Inquisitor. Once they did, the Bridgers insisted on going after him Kanan and Hera had both forbid it.
Ezra climbed up the ladder to the Phantom and found his children waiting. "She was our mother." Lara began, taking a defiant stance. "If you're going after that monster we're coming with you."
"No." Ezra said coldly.
"Too bad." Lara leaned on to on leg. She looked so much like Sabine that it hurt. "I'm killing the man who slaid my mother and there's isn't a thing you can do about it."
Ezra pushed passed his kids the the hatch of the small attack shuttle. "You may as well know that Jem had the alarm riged. If you go without us Kanan and Hera will be awoken."
""Karabast!" Ezra cursed as he turned to look at his children. "Fine. But if things get too dangerous you are to leave immediately. Am I understood?" The Bridgers only nodded. "Promise me!"
"I promise." Platt and the twins said in sync.
"No." Lara and Arcas said in defiance.
Ezra gave a heavy sigh before opening the hatch. There was Chopper who started beeping threateningly at them. "Hera knew we'd try this." Ezra sighed.
"Jem." Lara said sternly as she stepped out of her little brother's way.
"Sorry Chops." Jem said awkwardly as he moved closer to Chopper.
Once Jem had the astromech shut down the Bridgers moved quickly into the shuttle. Ezra was going to take the controls but moved when Lara glared daggers at him. Lara took the controls and got them out sight of the Ghost within seconds.
"Dad, your plan?" Lara asked as she drove the shuttle.
"I thought you had a plan?" Ezra said as he looked at Lara. "Have yet to think of one?"
Tears began to silently roll down Lara's cheeks as she stared out onto Lothal. "Last plan I had killed my mother." Lara said softly.
Ezra began thinking. When he came up with a plan he went through it quickly with his children and they agreed to follow it.
"Kanan and Hera are going to be pissed when they find out we went behind their backs." Lara said numbly from the pilot's seat.
"This won't be the first time." Ezra said half to himself.
"Easier to ask forgiveness than permission." Arcas said.
When they arrived to Capital City they got into position. The plan was that Ezra, Lara and Platt would relieve themselves to be jedi in a public area to lore the Inquisitor to them. From there only Lara and Ezra would fight him. Lara had insisted they at least wear old buckets so they wouldn't end up on wanted posters but she was shot down when Ezra said he didn't care. It was dawn when they reached the city. Lara, Platt and Ezra stood on the open hatch of the Phantom looking down at the main square.
"Let's do this." Ezra said coldheartedly as he leapt down into the crowd of people. Soon followed by Lara and Platt. They all activated their lightsabers, Platt using the one he stole from Kanan. "I challenge the Inquisitor if he is not too cowardly to face me!" Ezra yelled at nearby bucketheads. The bystanders began running away from the area, knowing all too well what was coming.
"Come to avenge your little Mandalorian?" The Inquisitor stepped out from the shadows of an alley.
"Go." Lara whispered to Platt. Platt force jumped back into the Phantom. Lara stood just a few inches behind her father, ready and willing to kill the Pau'an.
In rage Ezra charged the Inquisitor without any regard to those around him. The nearby troopers began firing at Lara and Ezra. Lara deflected whereas Ezra just merely dodged them. Ezra switched his Saber to blaster and fired at the Inquisitor, catching him off guard. Once in rang Ezra switched back to the blade and brought his down on the Inquisitor's. Ezra began swinging wildly at the Inquisitor and the Pau'un blocked or dodged every swing.
"Stay out of this!" The Inquisitor ordered as he face Ezra. "This fight is mine."
The Inquisitor swung and Ezra flipped out of the way and began firing at the Inquisitor again. Lara took the Inquisitor's momentary lack of focus to charge him from the side. The Inquisitor blocked her and smiled. He began blocking both Bridgers and and attack them. He landed a solid kick on Ezra, knocking the wind out of him. He focused and Lara and she stood her ground. Their blades clashed repeatedly and Lara switched to one hand, reaching behind her she pulled out a paint bomb and threw it at the Inquisitor. When the Pau'un was distracted by the sudden cloud of pink around him, Ezra regained his breath and advanced.
In Ezra's carelessness he forgot he was fighting alongside his daughter. Lara moved to attack the Inquisitor dodged, at the same time Ezra had lunged forward.
Lara's pain filled scream pierced the air and Ezra's lightsaber priced her shoulder. Ezra jerked back and stared at his daughter in horror. Lara quickly struggled to regained herself as she blocked an attack directed at her father. Lara pushed the pain to the back of her mind and advanced on the Inquisitor.
Ezra to snapped out of his temporary horrified trance and advanced on the Inquisitor, his moves more careful than before. The Inquisitor managed block their attacks and get the Bridgers' bladed in such a way that all he had to do was twist his wrist and they lightsaber were thrown away from them. The Inquisitor used the force to knock both Lara and Ezra to the ground. Ezra threw himself over Lara, protecting her from any oncoming attacks.
Suddenly a second blue lightsaber blocked the Inquisitor's crimson blade just inches away from hitting its intended target. Lara was both reviled and horrified to see Kanan. The Jedi forced the Pau'an back giving Ezra and Lara the chance to get to their feet. The man quickly looked over his daughter to make sure she was alright. A sigh of relief came from him as he just saw she only received a shoulder wound, but guilt also tugged as he knew her injury was because of him. Returning his thoughts to the battle, Ezra retrieving his lightsaber and joined Kanan in fighting the Inquisitor. Lara clutched her shoulder and used the force to retrieve her own fallen blade.
Ezra and Kanan swung their blades upward from under the Inquisitor's at the same time. Severing the Inquisitor's left arm in a clean cut. The Pau'un olnt let out a hiss of pain and glared daggers at the two jedi. Lara joined her father and master. She advanced. The Inquisitor, expecting her to attach readied himself. Lara force jumped over the Pau'un causing a distraction as Kanan and Ezra advanced.
"Spook 1 you stay out of this!" Kanan hissed as he swung his saber at the darkside user only to be blocked.
Lara only nodded and backed away from the fight. In a single sharp movement the Inquisitor got both jedi on their knees on either side of him. Their lightsabers were thrown to Lara's feet. She scooped them up and was about to charge the Pau'un.
Kanan and Ezra looked up at the Inquisitor. "Take care of them! Take care of them and run!" They said in sync. In a short fury of movements The Inquisitor stabbed them both in the heart and slashed outward.
"NO! MASTER!" Lara screeched.
The other's appeared and began firing at the Inquisitor forcing him away from the fallen jedi. Lara, Arcas and Zeb ran forward. The two bridgers lifted their father's body and half dragged it to the Ghost. Zeb picked up Kanan and ran to the freighter. Once aboard Hera closed the hatch and They took to the skies. Hera didn't know yet what had happened. Lara and Arcas had dropped to their knees in between the two bodies, Arcas sobbing untrollable, Zeb had gone numb. Lara threw her arms around Nova as she has seen her father's body.
"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" Lara cried as Nova began to scream and cry all at the same time. Hera came down the ladder and threw herself at he dead husband's body. She wept over him, her clothes soaking in his blood. The rest of the bridgers had become a cluster of faces frozen in a horrifying moment. Too shocked to cry as they stared numbly at their father's body. Within the short span of a single month they had lost both their parents.
They buried them with Sabine. Ezra next to his wife and Kanan next to his padawan. Hera had gone into a depression and Lara had taken on the responsibility of taking care of Nova and flying the Ghost. Lara had become hollow. As if the only emotion she had was sadness. Lara had giving Platt Ezra's lightsaber-blaster and Nova Kanan's lightsaber. Though none of them wanted too they had to take on a mission to keep fuel in the Ghost and food on the table. It hadn't even been a week since Kanan and Ezra died.
Their missions went wrong the second they started. They had barely started moving the creates when Agent Kallus and his troopers showed up.
Platt pulled out his saber when he saw the Agent. "Face me you scum!"
Kallus smiled as he steppe forward. "Gladly boy!"
The man pulled out his bow-rifle and the two squared off. Platt charged the man and swung his saber.
"Platt! No!" Lara yelled as her untrained brother raced into a fight. She was about to move when the troopers began firing at her. She blocked them with her own lightsaber as she stood between the troopers and the twins. Arcas was standing slightly behind Lara on her right side and he returned fire.
Platt tried to deflect the blast from Kallus but he was not as skilled as his older sister and his saber was knocked from his hand. Platt turned and kicked the bow-relief out of Kallu's hand, sending it across the room. Kallus smiled as he pulled out a T-7 Disruptor. Lara and Arcas were cornered as they guarded the twins. Hera was in the ship.
"Karrablast! " Zeb cursed as he raced forward. "Little bud! Move it!"
Platt stood as Agent Kallus raised the disruptor and aimed it at the youngest Bridger. "Farewell Insurgent!" Zeb Grabbed Platt and threw him to the ground taking on Kallus's attack.
"ZEBBY!NO! " Platt screamed, his outstretched hand reaching hopelessly towards his lifelong hero. The twins ran to their younger brother, Grabbing him by the arms and dragging the enraged sixteen year old away as Lara and Nova advanced on the agent and Arcas went to retrieve Zeb's body. The padawans fought off the Agent until the other's were aboard the Ghost. Once everyone was aboard Lara used the force to knock out the Agent and run.
Zeb was buried beside Sabine. Lara held Platt as he mourned the loss of Zeb. Lara didn't know how much more heartache she could take before it destroyed her. She didn't know how Hera was doing, but she knew the pilot wasn't not okay. Hera had lost her entire crew in two weeks, the kids had lost their family. Arcas began following any order Lara gave him, as Lara took on the all the responsivities of taking care of both the Ghost and it's remaining crew members. Hera hardly ever left her room, Nova was the only one daring enough to enter to make sure the Twi'lek at least ate something. Lara had landed the Ghost near Tarkin town and didn't bother flying. When they needed credits Lara would go do an odd job for Vizago but only small ones. During the night Nova had snuck off and the Empier had sntached her. Giving Lara and the crew a reason to take to the skies once again.
Nova curled up in a ball and rocked. She knew Lara and her mother would come save her she just didn't know how long she could wait. After losing her father and others of their family Nova felt as if she couldn't stand to be on the Ghost were so many memories haunted her. She had run off in search of a peaceful place to clear her head. When she got captured she knew what to expect. The empire was cruel enough to torture a four year old boy, a nine year old girl was not that far off.
A pulse ran through the ship shutting off the lights. Nova pushed herself into a corner and curled up tighter. There was a thud from the other side of the cell. Footsteps followed by and gentle hands at her elbows. "Time to go Little Blue." Kya's soft whisper caused Nova to throw herself at Kya. In the darkness the two made their way to the cell door. It opened and there stood Arcas. Arcas pulled Nova close to him and kept her tucked under his arm as they moved quickly through the ship. They were met at the end of the hall by Platt. As they continued they came face to face with troopers . Platt used his saber to block the blaster shot as they ran down another hallway. They came to a bay and Hera ran across the space to her daughter. Jem sealed the bay when they others had entered.
"Are you okay?" Hera asked as she took Nova's face into her hands and examined her daughter.
"I'm sorry mom." Nova cried as she wrapped her arms around her mother. The door open and Hera turned to her body to shield Nova as the troopers on the other side began firing into the bay. Nova curled against her mother and the boy fought off the attackers. Once the door was sealed again Arcas shot out the control pad.
Nova felt something warm and wet on her hands. She looked at them and froze in horror, her hands were covered in a thick layer of magenta blood. Hera crumpled to the floor and Nova caughted her, holding her mother head on her lap Nova could only stare. Hera reached out and whipped the tears off Nova's face with her thumb. "Don't cry little star. I will always be with you." Hera smiled weakly before she went limp in Nova's arms. Arcas Pulled Hera's body off of Nova and Lara pulled the shell shocked Nova to the Ghost. Once aboard Lara slammed the ramp closed and wrapped her arms around Nova.
"You'll be okay. I won't let anything happen to you." Nova's knee became liquid and she dropped to the floor, Lara still holding her. Tears began to stream down both the girl's cheeks as they mourned their loss.
Lara looked at Arcas and the others with tear stained eyes. They stared at her, searching for some kind of comfort. "I swear upon my life and blade that I will protect you all from the dangers that have taken this world from it's people. I swear I will end this Empire's reign on Lothal until my dying breath doth it take."
Arcas looked at Lara no longer with eyes pleading for some sign that she had a plan, but he looked at his elder sister in astonishment. Squaring his shoulder he looked Lara dead in the eye. "I swear to fight by your side no matter what path you take. I am your soldier and I will fight alongside you in this war against the Empire. On my life I make this vow."
The younger crew members looked between to two of them unable to find the words, From within the embrace of Lara Nova looked up. "I swear to do the same. You are my master and I will follow you."
"I'll follow you." Platt said as he looked to his eldest sister.
"We'll follow you." The twins said in sync as they squared their shoulder as Arcas had done.
Hera was buried next to Kanan. As they were all leaving Chopper rolled to stand in between Hera and Kanan's graves.
"Come on Chopper." Jem said as he started to follow the others. Chopper beeped definitely. "What do you mean you're staying?"
The others had stopped and turned to look over at the two. The meck beeped again. "Chopper, I-" Jem seemed to be struggling for words. "There's no need to guard her now. She's gone Chopper." Chopper replied. "Chopper please don't say that. You're my best friend, you're still apart of the crew." Chopper replied and lowered himself closer to the ground. "I know their you crew! I know you loved Hera but come on! Don't leave me! Please!"
Lara put a hand on Jem's shoulder, and looked over at Chopper. "I understand you want to stay with Hera Chopper. Thank you. For everything." Lara gentle pulled Jem along back to the Ghost as Chopper shut himself down and stayed with Hera.
The painful memories filled Lara's eyes with tears as she stared at Arcas's cabin door. It had been a year after that before the kids could smile again, though Arcas never celebrated his birthday after the death of their mother. A thought crossed Lara's mind and she smiled to herself as she turned to the cafe. Rather he liked or not, Lara was going to celebrate Arcas's birthday with one of their mother's old recipes that he loved when he was younger.
Later that evening Lara found Arcas sitting outside looking up at the stars as he always did when something was weighing on his mind.
Arcas sighted heavily. "Why do we keep doing this Lar?"
Lara wrapped her arms around Arcas's shoulders and rested her head on his shoulder. " We have to finish this war, for mom and dad."
"Why?"
"We were born and raised into this war." Lara sighed as she had asked her mother the same thing once. "We are the ones who fight for those who are too afraid to stand."
A heavy sigh escaped Arcas and he looked down at Lara from the corner of his eyes. "But is it worth it? Is all this really worth what we've already sacrificed ?"
"I don't know Arcas. I honestly don't know." Lara sighed sadly. With that they both looked up at the stars as they had done so many times before.
