The ninja had been waiting for about an hour and he was starting to get very impatient. His stupid mage lover had told him he'd be ready half an hour ago and he still wasn't out of their bedroom. What in the world can that idiot possibly be doing?

"OI FAI! I'M LEAVING WITHOUT YOU," Kurogane yelled out, hoping this was enough to get Fai moving.

A large thud was heard, proceeded with hurried footsteps gradually getting closer. A mop of blond hair popped up from the hallway and Fai hurriedly brushed his hair back with his hands as he was trying to see where he was going.

"I'm-huff- sorry Kurogane! I fell asleep," the wizard explained, out of breath.

The muscular man replied with a sigh, "Are you ready to leave now?"

"Yeah, I think so," the blond man replied as he struggled to put on his overcoat.

The tanned warrior gave his boyfriend a hand as Fai couldn't quite button it up on his own. Both men left the home together, hand in hand. Kurogane, soon realised that Fai couldn't keep up with his pace as he was doing his best to waddle along. Without saying a word, the ninja slowed down his movements and the wizard breathed a sigh of relief.

As they arrived at the market, the pregnant man was getting many stares. However, Fai had gotten used to that kind of treatment so he simply ignored the prying eyes. The couple made their way towards the kids section of the booths. Many salespeople tried to get them to visit their stall as they knew the ninja and the wizard were pretty well set.

Fai came to an abrupt stop when the passed a small booth selling infant clothing, "Can we look here, pretty please? These clothes look absolutely adorable!"

"Sure I guess. Not that I have much of a choice," the spiky haired man grumbled.

The warrior had learned his lesson: when Fai was his regular self, he was hard-headed. However, when he was pregnant, it had gotten worst. It was his way or the high way. Plus, he'd been throwing fits lately, almost tantrums. I can't wait for the man I fell in love with to come back to his regular bubbly self. I really miss the playful and joyful Fai. Nonetheless, I still love him so it doesn't matter. Kurogane leaned in and gave a kiss on his man's forehead.

The blond haired man had already made his way towards the back where the baby clothes were hung up. There were rows and rows of pink and blue western as well as nihon styled clothing. That's exactly why the bigger man hated shopping in the first place. Too many choices and too many items to look at all at the same time. It's hard to make decisions sometimes. Shopping is such a waste of time unless it's for basic necessities.

"What do you think of this one?" the wizard asked as he held a pastel blue jumper with teddy bears adorning it.

"What if it's a girl idiot?"

"Oh right..." Fai mumbled, pouting as he hung it back up.

An hour later, they left a store with a bag full of unisex clothing. Kurogane and Fai had bought quite an assortment or different styles and colours. Kuro-daddy was being a gentleman and he figured he'd better carry all of the junk they'd purchased or poor Fai would stumble over and fall. He hasn't been the most stable lately... Plus the amount of stuff we now have is ridiculous.

"What else do we need mage?" Kurogane asked, his hands full to the brim.

"Well, there's the crib, the stroller, the rocking chair," Fai said as he started to count them on his fingers one by one trying to remember his list.

This was going to be a long day.

-A little while later-

Most of the items on Fai's list had been purchased. Therefore, the men had decided to take a break and sit down for a little while. The wizard had complained that he was hungry so he had purchased a bowl of fresh noodles. In addition, the warrior's arms were numb from carrying around all the objects they had gathered throughout the day but he was too proud to say so.

The sun was starting to set. We should be heading home soon, it's getting dark and it's harder to travel at night. Especially with a clumsy pregnant boyfriend. It was at that moment that Kurogane got up in order to get moving that he recognized a familiar figure approaching them.

"Hey there Kurogane-san! You seem to be quite far from home and you boys bought all this stuff! I have a bit of business to attend to in town so I thought maybe you'd be interested in borrowing my horse?" the newcomer asked as he made his animal come to a stop.

"That'd be great Yamamoto. Do you mind? I'd bring it right back" Kurogane answered, thankful for the offer and consideration of the man.

"I don't mind one bit! Go ahead!" Yamamoto answered as he pet his horse's flank and descended from creature.

Without anything else said, the young scruffy man helped the ninja load up the items on the back of the horse. Yamamoto passed him the reins and told his horse to be a good girl. Kurogane thanked him once again and came to fetch Fai who was still sitting down and slurping his noodles.

"You ready to go mage?"

"Yeah. That was really nice of him to do that. I'm done my snack so it's perfect! Who was that anyways?"

"Oh, one of my apprentices. Tomoyo put me in charge of training a couple of boys since she said it'd give me a bit of experience at being father-like," Kurogane answered as he grunted.

Fai snickered and gave back the empty bowl that had contained noodles to the merchant. The warrior finished installing the items securely at the back of the horse and prepared a sitting spot for the both of them. Kurogane picked up his lover in order to place him on the back of the horse. The wizard who was usually so well balanced had been a true klutz in the past few weeks. The soon to be father had become enormously worried that the blond man would fall and hurt the baby as well as himself simply when he was walking. He's an idiot. That damned mage is going to make my hair go grey by the time I'm 35. He made sure that Fai was comfortably installed and instructed him that he were to hold his waist or shoulders while they rode. The blue eyed man didn't put up a fight or protest and did what he was told for once.

Without any more delay, they headed in direction of their home. The horse Yamamoto had lent him was still young and lively so she ran rather quickly compared to the ones Fai and he were used to. The motion and trotting of the animal made the pregnant man wince every minute or so.

"Are you okay Fai? It sounds like it's pretty painful back there," Kurogane asked, starting to get concerned.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. Besides, we're almost home so it doesn't matter much."

Not even five minutes later, they arrived at their humble abode. The blond man was grateful that the ride was over and that he was now standing on stable ground.

"That's much better," Fai said as he held on to his lover's arm in order to regain his stability.

I know it hurt more than you let me know. Kurogane unlatched their purchases from the animal and placed them on the ground.

"Fai, listen to me. I'm going to be back in a couple of hours. You can bring the clothes in but that's it. Don't even think about moving the heavy stuff. I'll take care of it when I come back," commanded the warrior as he kissed his man on the cheek and took off back in the direction of the market at full speed.

He really thinks I'm useless doesn't he? With that, Fai sighed and brought the bags of baby clothing inside of the living room a couple at a time. He didn't want to strain his body as it'd be bad for the child inside him and agreed with Kurogane that it wasn't good for him to do so. But he was treating him like a paper doll. Sure I'm starting to have a little bit of difficulties walking lately but it doesn't mean I can't help!

The wizard sat on the tatami and mindlessly rubbed his ever growing stomach. Aka-chan (baby) had been very lively today and kicked rather strongly. As he had pulled out the book they had acquired from training with the witch, rain had started pouring outside. Fai had become frantic as the bigger and more costly items were still outside and would be ruined if he failed to bring them in.

Ignoring what Kurogane had instructed him to do, he struggled to get back on his feet and started fetching the baby's objects one by one. His process was slow and painful but he wasn't going to give up that easily. I've endured much worst before. It had taken him about half an hour to clear the entry way and complete his task.

The mage decided he'd start drying himself off since he didn't want to catch a cold. Kuro-poo's going to be home at any moment now. He headed in direction of their room in order to change into a dry and clean sleeping garments. Fai slowly removed his top which proved to no longer an easy task either. His beach ball of a stomach was simply in the way of everything. His belly had started hurting slightly but he paid no attention to it more than simply rubbing it which usually helped him sooth it. He slipped on the silk top's sleeves one at a time and buttoned it up carefully but with great difficulty. Damn, this one is starting to get too tight too! As he removed his pants, a jolt of pain was sent down his spine. The wizard got dizzy and collapsed on the floor. Blood had started seeping onto the tatami.

"Kurogane," Fai called out with all of his energy but it came out as a murmur.

I know I'm not nice finishing a chapter like this guys! I really wish I could've posted this one yesterday but I was working on a new assignment. Yay school -sarcasm- Today's a snow day so I had the chance to finish this up.

I actually really enjoy writing these chapters, it really relaxes me. I hope my writing has some sort of similar affect or at least that you find some sort of joy reading these haha. This chapter's quite long in comparison to the others, my bad!

I might not update until after the weekend since I've been invited to a LAN party and I'm going (It's my first time at one). Of course, I have a mound of homework and studying to do, but I'll push it aside until the last minute. Typical me. Oh, I also wanted to add that I unfortunately won't update at from the 28th to the 7th. My boyfriend's in town for his reading week so I want to spend time with me. Please don't smack me, we live 8 hours away from each other. ;-;

Anyways I hope you guys have a great family weekend (not sure if that applies everywhere in the world apart from Canada)

Please review! I'll start writing at 7 reviews like the usual!
