Glee:Songs In Real Life takes place a few years after the official end of Season 6 and chronicles New Directions starting in 2023, after all the original members have left. As a result of graduation and lack of interest, there are no members left, causing Sam Evans to have to start over fresh, setting in motion the events of the series.
