Ch13: Others
BPOV:
I stopped at the top of the stairs opening the door and stepped out of the way for Angela to walk out and see the sun again after however long she had been trapped in that room. I made me think of when Jasper had let us out, the feeling of the sun on my face and the wind in my hair. The scents of everything the animals, the trees, the moss, the dew, the dirt, so fresh and clean, bright and crisp. The feeling of my muscles stretching and moving at such a speed I was a blur to humans and animals alike. The power of freedom.
Looking at Angela pass me and out the door into the fresh air. She ignored everybody as they stared at her in awe. A whimsical smile on her face as she breathed in the fresh air. Letting it out slowly she looked over her shoulder at me her grin turning into a genuine smile a laugh bubbling from her lips. She was truly happy.
I walked up to her putting my hand on her shoulder pointing to everyone who had walked over curious at who she was. Though Jasper had recognition on his face as well as anger, probably at Carlisle. Pointing to each person I named them off explaining a little about them, "this is Peter and his mate Charlotte but you can call her Char, they are Bree, my daughter and her mate/ Imprint Seth, next are Eliza, my other daughter and her mate/ imprint Leah, then there is Jasper my mate and imprint. Guys this is Angela Weber an old friend of mine." I finished introducing everyone. Turning to Angela I only saw love and happiness in her eyes. Stepping off the porch she was folded into the group all laughing and introducing themselves again.
I walked over to Jasper who wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me closer to him so our chests touched. Pecking my lips he turned his attention back to Angela who was now asking questions about our family. Turning around so I could lean back on jasper I tune in to their conversation.
"Ok, so what is everyone then I know Bella's a wolf but the rest of you?" she asked shyly. When she finished asking she seemed to notice the five wolves sleeping under the oak tree. "Wait, wait, wait, Bella why are there 5 dogs just sleeping there?" she asks me forgetting about her previous question.
"Well long story short I saved them. From Jacob Black to be exact, more of the doctor's experiments." I added seeing the look on her face. "the mother is named Nikita or Niki for short, then the puppies going left to right are Red, Thor, King, and Raven." I explain more pointing to each of them.
As I finished listing the puppies' names they started waking up, stirring kicking Niki awake, only for her to stand waking them up too. Niki walked over to us sniffing Angela before rubbing her head on her hand. Angela on her part just stood there for a second not believing this was happening, then breaking herself out of it she started petting Niki's head rubbing behind her ears. I smile broke out on her face brightening her eyes. The puppies soon followed Niki tackling Ang to the ground. We all laughed as the wolves started licking her face and yelping at her.
When everything settled down sometime later we were all sitting or lying on the ground, couples together and Angela sitting next to Niki still petting her. While the puppies ran around from one person to another. "So… what animals are all of you? And could you show me?" Angela asked shyly, looking at every one, waiting to see what they'd say.
"Well I'm a wolf, kind of a dark red color." Eliza
"Grey wolf" Leah
"Light brown sandy wolf" Seth
"Reddish great horned owl" Bree
"blue-grey wolf" I mummer.
"Well can I see you guys or not?" Angela says excitedly vibrating in her spot.
We nod getting up. I kiss jasper then join them. We each went to a different place in the woods to strip of our clothes. Then we phased each of us coming into the mind link then I walked out to see everyone.
JPOV:
Bella kissed me before everyone disappeared into the tree line coming out seconds later in mass all lining up like a real pack even the wolves walked over standing beside their mother. Creating an intimidating front. Each of the wolves where at least six feet tall, Bella being the largest at seven feet tall making everyone look tiny compared to her. I looked at Angela to see a gorgeous Siberian tiger with bright blue eyes probably six and a half feet all just slightly shorter than Eliza. Who stood at six ten-ish looking at the shape-shifters I noticed they grew as well, standing six foot four, from what remember they were short compared to the Lapush pack, who stood on average at 5 and a half feet, tiny compared to our pack.
I felt a spike of curiously, worry, and fear. Then from Bella I felt a quick flash of anger that turned into worry. Looking at the pack I saw most of them were staring at either Angela or Bella, who looked like they were having a hurried discussion, then Bella turned away from them and took off into the forest heading north. Quickly following the rest of the pack took off, leaving the three of us confused.
Turning to Peter I see him confused, meaning he doesn't know why they took off. Quickly making a decision I yelled "Peter with me, Char stay here if they come back!" running in their direction following their scent trails I found nothing out of place to set them off.
Entering a clearing I saw some of the wolves standing looking at a small cabin like structure feeling worried and impatient at something. Then Angela and a girl I thought I wouldn't see again came out the door, Jessica Stanley. Followed by Bree still in owl form flying out to land on Seth. Then a piercing scream filled the air followed by a huge gasp.
BPOV:
Walking through the trees to see everyone lined up in the pack role spots, Eliza on my right, Angela to my left, Seth behind her with Bree on his shoulder, and Leah behind Eliza. Niki and her Puppies at our feet, part of the pack. I looked over to Eliza who was talking adamantly with Angela about what had happened so far and why we were even here. When I heard two voices enter our mind link making everyone freeze, not knowing what to do.
"Hello is any one there? We need help please we were taken and changed I don't know I just woke up my friend needs help please he's freaking out. Please someone get help, we are in a basement some where I don't know where I am please, please get here fact, I don't know what to do. He keeps screaming and thrashing and I'm freaking out how did this happen?" the girl whimpered helplessly.
I was about to go searching for them starting south when Angela stopped me "no not south, North close by not far." She said confidently. "How do you know that?" I asked wondering and worried. "I just know like I know where everyone is on a map in my head, I don't really know how to explain it..." she trailed off thinking, "I guess I'm a tracker?" she asked me "must be we'll talk about this later for now let's just go ok?" with that I took off following Angela's instructions till we found a meadow with a cottage off to the side.
Quickly shifting not caring that I was naked I pulled on my clothes and turned to the pack "you guys stay here keep a look out I'll take Angela and Bree with me, Bree you stay phased keep the rest up to date, Eliza you're in charge." Seeing her nod to me I held out my arm for Bree to land on and walked in the house Angela right behind me.
Hearing screaming coming from below us I knew we were in the right place. Splitting up we looked for a way to get to the basement. Finding the stairs I called Ang over before descending. At the bottom of the stairs we found a hallway leading off to different rooms. Ignoring the rooms for now I went up to the one with screams coming from behind it. Looking back at Angela to see she was ready I opened the door.
Looking inside I saw the source of the screaming first a boy strapped to a steel table jerking wildly screaming blood-curdling screeches piercing through the room. Then I saw movement in the corner opposite of the table. A lioness curled up in a ball shaking badly. Gently walking over in the least threatening way I could I walked over to her reaching out my hand only to pull it back when she flinched "shhh… it is going to be fine we came to help Angela here is going to take you up stairs where she will show you how to shift back, while I try and see what's wrong with your friend ok?" I ask gently trying to be a soft as possible. She nods her head not looking at the boy, then makes her way to Angela slowly scared of her. "come on let me help you out" Angela says turning around showing her back to the lion as a sign of trust leading out of the room leaving the door ajar for me. I nod to Bree for her to go with them as I help the boy.
Walking over to him I take in his features, Dark hair, Pale skin, heart beating wildly in his chest, too quickly to be anything else.
The Change.
It explains everything. Looking closer at him actually taking in his face I see it is none other than Eric Yorkie. Taking his Heart beat as an indicator I'd say that he was almost done if not now.
Right on queue his screams go up a notch before it's cut off by a loud gasp, as he opens his eyes I see they are blue like Angela's, a shifter-Vampire. Locking on to me Eric starts to struggle even more out of fear. "Eric you need to calm down, I won't hurt you, it's me Bella and I will let you free but you need to calm down please, no need for anyone to get hurt ok." I say seeing him calm down when he realized it was me. "What happened? What am I? What did he do to me?" he asked talking so fast that if I didn't have super hearing I probably wouldn't have gotten anything from him. "Whoa calm down all in good time as soon as I figure it out I'll tell you ok? Now who is this he?" I asked already knowing the answer but needed to make sure. What he said though made me rethink everything that had happened since we got here.
"Jacob Black."
JPOV:
For a few minutes everyone froze. The tension in the air was stifling. Then I seemed to surface from the fog of thinking releasing a heavy dose of calm to everyone in the clearing, shoulders sagged and everyone let out the breathe they had held. And we waited. Waited for Bella to come out of the cabin not wanting to go in too afraid to find out who this other person was.
My fear spiked when I felt a surge of emotion coming from the cabin, Anger, Disdain, and astonishment from one person and fear and worry coming from the other. I immediately knew the angry force was Bella by the way the major was trying to come out worried for our mate. I heard myself let loose a feral growl causing everyone to snap their heads to me Jessica yelping and jumping behind Angela. But I paid them no attention racing into the house and heading down the stairs to where the emotions were coming from as well as the deep animalistic growl of my mate. Kicking in the door I raced over to Bella who was crouching, shaking and hissing as the door flew off the hinges. Eyes silver. I grabbed her in a hug sending as much calm and lethargy into as I could until she sagged curling into me a growling purr flowing from her.
Looking around the room I found the man that the fearful emotions were coming from, pressed up against the wall on the far side of the room whimpering slightly. Sending him a dose of calm and safety I saw how he straightened up but didn't move closer to us. Looking closer at him I saw it was Eric Yorkie one of Bella's old friends from high school. His eyes a piercing blue like Angela's and Jessica's. "What happened?" I whispered quietly into Bella's hair. She growled softly her anger spiking again before calming down slightly her anger still burning steadily in the background.
"I'm going to kill him." She growled out anger burning threw her like a fuse.
"Who?" I ask glancing at Eric worried she meant him, only to see him angry as well making me more confused.
Looking up at me her eyes flashing Sliver even with the calm I'm pumping in to her Bella answers with a growl "Jacob Black!"
"What did you find out Bella? What has he done?" I ask knowing she found something new, though I didn't know what yet causing my curiosity to grow.
"He was the one in charge of the experiments in forks, Angela, Jessica and Eric all vampire-shifters. Eric has just completed the change. But to confirm it I need to get back to the Cullen mansion look for paperwork files on Carlisle's studies and what exactly was Jacob's role in all this." She calms down some letting her think about the plans and where the information would be hidden inside the house.
I look over to Eric again taking in his emotions, agitated but surprisingly calm. "Ok let's go upstairs I bet everyone is worried about what's going on, especially after the way I ran down here with no explanation." I say taking her hand in mine and heading for the door way, there wasn't a door anymore but just the door frame making me smile.
