CH 15: Lesson

Previously:

"Werewolf venom but not any old werewolf. No he used alpha venom. So Jake care to tell us of the other pack in the area?" I growled at him my control slipping again, eyes turning silver.

He gasped staring at me for only a second before he connected the dots "you!"

"Yes me" I grinned wickedly head cocked to the side, instincts running high. "What are you going to do about it?" was all I said before my control finally slipped.

Athena taking over at last.

And now,

APOV: (Athena)

It felt good to be free again to take out my fury on this measly little thing in my grip.

Joyous.

Looking into the twerp's eyes I grinned dark and sinister. I could tell when he finally realized what his instincts were telling him, his eyes huge and sifting looking for a way out of the confrontation that has been boiling up till now about to over flow.

"Finally figured it out huh?" I asked angrily. This boy had underestimated me and shown no respect to me or my power. Then he foolishly ignored my warnings, didn't he know not to mess with an imprint? He'd find out soon enough though and not just from me I could already tell there would be a line to get a piece of him. The thought made my grin turn into a smile showing all my teeth, sharp and deadly.

He jerked in my hand trying to pull free, but before he could really do anything I slammed him into the tree splintering the tree with my strength. "Squeezing the hand around his throat in warning.

"Ah, ah, ah, none of that. You don't want to get hurt do you?" I asked sweetly.

He snarled at me infuriated by me "oh please I bet I can beat your bitch ass in a minute flat" he taunted me, making my smile bigger.

"Sure, let's see who wins, no one interferes. If I win you answer all our questions, and you have to let anyone who want to join me from your "pack" join, no exceptions. Deal?" I offered grinning more.

"Deal and if I win I get all my shifters back, no exceptions." He said smiling like he had already won. Pity.

"Rules, no help from anyone, shifting is allowed but no alpha orders to attack the opponent, first one to immobilize your opponent for ten seconds wins. And no death moves. Got it?" I explain to him making sure he gets it.

"Got it" he nods.

BPOV:

I was excited I hadn't let loose since Carlisle and I was happy to show the twerp what I could do, maybe even leave him with a little something to remember me by.

Jasper walked up to me with concern and anger on his face though I knew the anger wasn't directed at me so much as the boy.

"You ready for this Bella? Because if you don't want to I know plenty of others who are, including me." He smiled wrapping his arms around my waist in a calming sense. I smiled looking into his eyes, they were black with anger and I knew mine had to be silver. "Ah but if I did that he would think I am a coward or worse weak." I growled at the end my anger showing through. Leaning into my mates arms I inhaled his scent smoky pines letting him calm me so I had a clear head for the fight ahead of us.

The girls came over Bree, Eliza and Angela with Paul following behind her holding her hand tightly. "mom are you sure about this I mean come on he's a pup compared to you it won't take you ten seconds to beat him to a pulp let alone pin him. So why would you go to all this trouble in beating him with this deal?" Eliza asked stunned by my choice.

"Because if I just beat him to a pulp I would also have to deal with the other two of them. Plus if I beat him squarely now he won't be too injured to answer our questions, plus I wanted to teach him a few lessons, first don't mess with an imprint, secondly never underestimate your opponent, especially if it is a girl. Plus he disrespected me and you guys we're family so I have to defend our pride right? Then I also wanted him to know he isn't the all-powerful alpha he thinks he is." I assured them.

"Thanks Bella for letting me be with my imprint finally. I owe you one and thanks for letting the boys in too I know they were worried about Seth and Leah being on their own, though now that I know it was you I realize it wasn't even an issue to worry about. Thanks again Bells." Paul joked making me smile.

"You're welcome Paul but I was planning on letting you guys join with or without the imprints." I acknowledged him with a nod. Turning away from them looking across the yard to where Jake was angrily yelling at Embry and Quil who look deflated but acknowledging their "screw ups"

Sensing my gaze on him he turned sneering at me laughing. I just smirked turning back to my pack, or at least part of it Leah, Seth, Jessica and Eric have yet to come out of the house hiding our true numbers, plus the boy didn't know about our newest shifter-vampires. The Clearwater's didn't want to come out yet for fear of killing him too soon so they stayed where they are helping Jessica and Eric get used to this new life and filling them in on what has happened.

"One minute till show time get ready for the show of a lifetime!" Peter belted a huge shit-eating grin on his face. Char sat next to him on the porch head in her hands groaning in annoyance.

Grinning over at them I walked over dragging Jasper behind me. Stopping around the circle drawn out by peter resembling a wrestling mat, the circle was probably 30 feet in diameter carved into the lawn. Peter stood at the edge acting as a referee of sorts. Hands behind his back shoulders squared. He had taken off his shirt not wanting to get mud on it and to show off his battle scars.

Jacob made his way over to the circle as well a sneer on his face as he looked at me, I just smirked at him egging him on then I pull jasper close to me pressing his body into mine I kissed him. Hard. Wrapping my arms around his neck as he picked me up my legs wrapping around his waist as we made out. I heard a deep rolling growl come from behind me, but what made me turn was the cat calls from Eliza and Paul.

Pulling away from Jasper I mouth 'later' to him seeing his eyes darken more makes me proud he is my mate. Untangling myself from him I kiss him chastely on the lips before turning to Jacob to see him shaking so badly he'd shift if I did anything more to egg him on. I face him coming to the edge of the circle straightening to my full height of six foot three, I had grown since the additions to the pack making my wolf bigger too, or at least that was what Jasper had told me.

I glared at Jacob before smiling and throwing a wink his way that set him off in a ball of growling fur. A half a foot shorter than me in human form alone, this would be easy.

I set my shoulders ready for anything as I phased landing inside the circle snarling at Jacob as he whimpered in shock, I snickered taunting him again by letting him into my mind for a second "what you afraid by little ol' me?" I asked sweetly before closing off the connection again.

Instead of responding he lunged at me snapping his jaws at my front legs. I easily side stepped him grabbing onto his hind leg before twisting my body so I could throw him down into the ground, hard, causing dirt and grass to fly everywhere spraying the spectators around us with mud. They didn't seem to mind to focus on the fight.

Turning around to face Jake we started circling each other snapping our jaws in taunts. The next try from him came as a charge sprinting across the thirty feet at a speed that would make a racecar jealous he tried going for my throat this time. A death move. I phased quicker than ever human again before he got within ten feet of me, grabbing him by the scruff of the neck I launched him out of the circle sending him into the tree line. Screaming "no you don't break the deal no deadly shots got it? Or else I'll just finish you now. I could care less about the information you have!" I hissed at him as he came out of the woods limping slightly. He nodded his head slightly before squaring his shoulders and tensing ready to bolt.

He ran at me again from a hundred or so feet away hoping to catch me off guard again. This time I let him come jumping at the last moment still in human form I wrapped my hands around his neck ready to twist letting Athena take control for the second time that day.

"WAIT!" I heard the screeching yell of my mate. Making me pause my eyes flashing to him for a second tilting my head. Why would my mate stop me when I was about to deal with the pest?

"You can't kill him." My mate said making me growl loudly "at least not yet." He added making me calm down some. "We need the answers to all these experiments, then you may kill him if you wish, Darlin'." This made me calm enough to ease up on my hold of him but not let go, no he wouldn't be leaving anytime soon.

"And if he doesn't answer the questions?" I managed to growl out curious.

"Oh don't worry I'll make him answer the questions we have" he said an evil smile gracing his lips before he took a step toward me, into the circle.

I let go of the pest, who gasped for air trying to crawl away before my daughters stepped into his path grins on their faces, "where do you think you're going pup?" Nike asked tilting her head in curiosity. I hadn't seen her in a while or Eris for that matter.

"Can't wait" I replied to the Major as I kissed him again.

ok so I rewrote this chapter you guys because I didn't like the other one it didn't set up anything in the story plus the fight scene kind of sucked. sorry it took so long. I'll try to get the next one up quicker this time around. any ways hope you liked the changes, if not too bad but you'll like where it leads promise.
