Ch16: Interrogation

Previously:

"And if he doesn't answer the questions?" I managed to growl out curious.

"Oh don't worry I'll make him answer the questions we have" he said an evil smile gracing his lips before he took a step toward me, into the circle.

I let go of the pest, who gasped for air trying to crawl away before my daughters stepped into his path grins on their faces, "where do you think you're going pup?" Nike asked tilting her head in curiosity. I hadn't seen her in a while or Eris for that matter.

"Can't wait" I replied to the Major as I kissed him again.

And now:

BPOV:

Looking around the room I couldn't really bring myself to believe it, that the person that was my own personal sun had become so corrupted over time. I mean I could maybe believe that he changed so much over like a decade or something like that, but no he had changed so much in such a short period. I was only gone for 20 months. How could he have change so drastically?

Don't get me wrong I still despised him for what he had done to the members of his pack that had joined mine. I am just curious, what could have happened that made him change that fast in such a short period of time… or was it really that short? Couldn't have started long before that and I'm only now noticing it.

I needed to know.

I looked over to Jasper who was standing over Jacob stair intently at him ready to do what he had to, to get the truth from him. I could tell he was still angry at Jacob for cheating in our little fight. Not that I blamed him, I was still more than irked about it.

As for Jacob he sat in the arm chair in the middle of the room, with Embry and Quil both sitting on the couch with peter and Char sitting on the arms acting like bodyguards. The rest of us where scattered around the room mostly standing blocking any attempts at escaping.

Every member of the pack was tensed at least a little bit ready for a fight to break out. I was pacing back and forth trying to get over the urge to rip Jacob to shreds right where he was at, but I couldn't do that my curiosity was way too high to not get the answers we were looking for.

Stopping I took a deep breath centering myself then turned to Jacob. "How Long?" I nearly growled.

"Since you chose that fucking leach over me." He sneered shaking slightly.

"Why?" I hissed. My anger getting the best of me when I heard the reference to Him.

"If I could have you I'd make your life a living hell, teach you a lesson along the way." He explained I could see the hatred burning through him. That didn't pick him, that choice festered inside him all those years, when I told him 'no'.

What about me? Why was my choice such a big deal to you?" I asked desperate to know why he wanted me to go through all that pain and suffering.

"Edward… I can't believe I let him take you from me, you were mine! From the beginning I had you all I had to do was make you see it, make you learn your place! Just like everyone else here they had to learn that I was the leader, the boss, their king! Then he told me of the experiments he was going to do to you, you'd learn your lesson and be one of us, one of the pack. You could have joined me, we could have ruled the world!" he was screaming by the end, breathing heavily.

I on the other hand was pissed trying with all my might to keep the beast down to not phase in the middle of the living room. Looking around I noticed several others were shaking as well. Mainly it was Embry and Quil shaking the most, curious, the anger in their eyes was directed at their leader, who for his part was lost in his own little world. Anger on his face too.

"Then Carlisle took it further started to experiment on others but not just using wolf shifters, no, he expanded adding other animals to the mix, abominations. They should have never been made. They could have thrown away all I had worked for. I took responsibility for them locked them up where I could continue experiments to look like I was still working with the doctor but I had other plans. I had decided to kill them, collect leech venom from those we killed it took a while but I finally had enough to try it on all of them I started a week or so ago and finally finished three days ago when I injected the last ones. Only I realized as I watched them they started to change creating even bigger monsters, they are unnatural and should be disposed of, I should kill them right now!" he screamed lunging for Angela and Paul. Only I saw it coming blurring over to them I stood in front of them, catching Jacob by the neck flinging him away from me and into Jasper's hold. As soon as he came into contact with Jasper he started to scream, withering and sagging onto the floor. Ripping at his flesh trying to stop the pain.

When Jasper finally released Jacob he slumped into a ball shaking slightly on the floor. I leaned down whispering into his ear "no, you will not touch anyone in my pack, ever. And we are not done. So get your ass off the floor and take it like a man then when you've finished answering all the questions we will take you home see what your elders think of all this and let them decide what to do with you. Now for the last time Get UP!" I yelled making him whimper pathetically crawling up into his chair shrinking back at Jasper's glare.

Smirking I stepped back resting my hip against the couch where Eliza and Bree sat, Eliza started rubbing my back making me gain control relaxing again. "Now, what I'm wondering is how Embry and Quil tie into this, care to share Jacob?" I ask curious about the death glares they sent him earlier.

"They are nothing but expendable, I told them that the experiments were dangerous had to be taken care of but they were just tools to get what I wanted. But they turned traitor soon enough tried to take my spot as alpha. They are nothing but mutts in my eyes" He ranted making the two wolves angrier shaking harder. Till Quil finally snapped screaming at Jacob in his rage, "you told us we would protect the tribe from other shifters, I mean come on you told us that we were the best there is. Now I know better you are a liar and a monster, we trusted you to lead us. In the beginning it was fine. Then you convinced us that the experiments were a danger and had to be killed and we believed you in the beginning but something inside you changed. And not for the better we needed to take you down or else who knew what you would do you fucking psycho." He explained himself glaring at Jacob Embry was too angry to say anything but he nodded his head in agreement.

I looked over to Jasper sensing my gaze he took his eyes off of Quil nodding his head slightly, he was telling the truth. Looking away I turned to the rest of the room, everyone was here except Jessica and Eric who were hiding upstairs, Jacob didn't about them yet.

Closing my eyes I took a deep breath calming myself before locking eyes with Jacob again.

"You said there were other experiments, where?" I asked if there were more I would go searching and let them free, maybe offer them a spot on the pack.

"What are you talking abo-'was as far as he got before he screamed again Jasper sending waves of pain into him. "O-o-ok!... I-I'll… t…th…trth!" he managed to mumble making Jasper let up a little so he could speak though he still was shaking and sweating from the pain. "I'll… tell you." He gasped when the last of the pain left his body.

"There were four of them five if you count her. There are two here in forks girl and boy one lion other hawk. Then two near Canada in an old house I think it was both girls both wolves." He explains to us. So there are two more out there? I look over to peter seeing if he could tell us anything.

He pauses closing his eyes in thought before he looks over to me. "Their names are Alex and Molly, they are sisters, Alex is 18 and molly is 15. They are about fifty miles north of us now. Angela should be able to track them down easily, but I think we should deal with Jacob first."

"ok would one of you be willing to call the council and see if they can get over here, if not we are willing to go to the rez, Sam and Emily and the rest of the wolves are welcome to join. But I would like to do this quickly so we can go free the sisters." I murmur to Quil and Embry who stand and walk outside dialing their phones on their way.

"Wait what about the other two on the property? You're not going to free them too?" Jacob asks astounded that we weren't on our way now.

The room broke out in laughter from most of the pack Paul, Brandy and Collin just look confused.

Smirking I filled them in "oh don't worry about them they are upstairs taking showers and things getting all the grime off them and such, oh and listening to this whole conversation. Isn't that right Jessica and Eric?" I ask looking up at the ceiling.

"That's right Bells!" Eric yelled down.

"Be right down!" jess informed blurring down the stairs only to freeze at the base. Looking over to her I see her eyes are locked on Brandy who looks like he just won a million bucks.

"Oh shit" is all I can say before Jacob phases lunging for Jessica. Then I blur crashing into Jacob going through the windows into the back yard. Standing I growl out "No!" as Jacob tries to get past me. I grab him by the scruff of the neck as the rest of the pack files out of the house to watch the ensuing fight. "Have you not learned that you don't mess with imprints or do I have to remind you again?!" I growled into his face, my hand around his throat as I look at him in the eye. He just growled at me trying to bite me. "Fine!" I growl as I throw him into a bolder Phasing as I jump after him landing over where he lay.

He managed to push me off as he got up making me twist in midair landing with my back to the house blocking his path to Jessica. Snarling I lunged at him, not giving him a chance to attack me again. I managed to claw him on his left foreleg leaving four deep grooves through the shoulder and down the limb. Blood seeping from the wound, making him limp slightly. But it didn't stop him as Jacob ran towards me slower this time do to his blood loss. I managed to claw him again along the right side of his body this time starting at the bottom of his ribs all the way up to his face where I clawed his eye leaving bigger wounds this time, deeper. This time he didn't get far he tripped over his feet skidding toward the house. I phased back into human form this time taking a pile of clothes from char.

By the time I walked over to Jacob he had shifted back to human and was whimpering quietly. I kneel down next to him only to wince as I feel the sting of a cut, he had gotten me on my leg a long cut curving down my calf it wasn't deep but it hurt as it healed. I watched as the skin was stitched back together leave a smear of blood that I swiped away. Not even a scar.

As I focused back on Jacob I noticed him healing but it was slower. As it healed I looked around at everyone to see a mixture of anger and worry. Anger directed at Jacob and the worry aimed at me. As I was standing up I stumbled a little my leg still hurt a little but the pain was dissipating quickly. Jasper was at my side the next moment worry in his eyes.

"You ok Darlin'?" he asked gently settling me onto the steps. "Yeah, sorry about that but he attacked my family I couldn't let him get away with it a second time." I said anger making my voice come out as a low growl. "As long as you are ok. I understand the urge." He whispered growling at the end. I smiled as I looked into his eyes seeing the love in them, I kissed him gently before diverting my gaze to Jacob again. "How did I not see the change in him?" I ask disbelievingly and angry at myself.

"There was no way you would have known Bells, I didn't even see it in my own brother." He said squeezing me closer to him so I sat in between his legs as he kissed the back of my neck, making me sigh. I looked over to the limp body of Jacob, I guess he finally passed-out. To see the wounds closing up, but in their place were huge lines of scar tissue a bright red in some places. I looked at his face to see that I had gotten one claw over his eye rendering his right eye blind and another scar that was on his chin going down his throat to his chest and arm. There were four scars on his right, on his left I could see four others bending behind him over his shoulder blade and over his chest. I had gotten him pretty badly.

I turn to the group of people around us as I see Jacob start to stir. Jessica was leaning into Brandy who had his arms around her waist, a worried expression on his face. I made eye contact with Jess as she let go of Brandy stepping towards us. "I'm so sorry Bells if I-"was as far as I let her get. "Don't. Don't ever say you're sorry for this it was his fault any ways." I say nodding to Jacob as he started to sit up. "Congratulations to both of you I'm happy for you guys, take care of her Brandy." I say seriously looking at him, he nods quickly making me smile. "You guys are family and I will always protect what's mine." I say pulling them both into a hug. Jessica squeezed me as hard as she could showing me her thanks. Brandy wrapped his arms around me whispering a quiet "thank you" with so much emotion it made me want to cry. Stepping out of the embrace I put my hand on his cheek saying "your welcome, honey." Back making him tear up as he smiled at me.

We were interrupted when we heard cars rolling up the drive way.

The elders were here.
