This is my first story to publish here on Fanfiction. I wrote this story ages ago for another website but decided to alter it for swanqueen. This is set in the real world and no magic. No Storybrooke either. Some character's are mine but other's are not. The story is full of mystery, action, and a growing love between our two favorite women. Swanqueen is end game.

Emma and Hook travel to a familiar past but they both get the shock of their lives. Memories are much sweeter than reality. Or, New York wasn't as great a home as Emma remembers it being.

This is the sequel to Things Money Can't Buy. Regina and Emma are trying to build a life together without drowning in all the things that come with it. AU. Emma moves back to New York after they defeat Zelena, determined to keep her walls up and never realizing what home truly is for her. Meanwhile, Captain Hook is stranded in a new realm where people don't really trust him but where he is determined to stay and create a home for himself. Along the way both find out that sometimes you have to grow apart to find each other again.

Will they be able fight off evil force and find their way to each other? Story takes place end of season 5, Hook doesn't come back to life.
