Chapter 6
(Just a quick note: It's been a whole year since I last saw this story but I thought of it every day. I apologize if it's not that good. I'm rusty. Lol Please read and Enjoy ^^ Different things coming in the future!)
Yu Narukami's POV
"Magatsu-Izanagi!" I heard Adachi's voice ring out before I saw a huge red blur rush in front of us and block Jiraya's attack. I knew this was my chance to reason with Yosuke.
"Yosuke please! I know your upset but this fighting is useless!" I stared at Yosuke from behind Adachi. Adachi glared at Yosuke from behind his persona. I saw hate burning in Adachi's eyes. I knew that look. It wasn't good.
"Ziodyne!" Adachi called out. This is bad. Jiraya was weak to electricity and Yosuke and Jiraya are linked. A furious wrath of electricity struck Jiraya causing Yosuke to fall to the ground in pain as he clenched his chest. The rest of the team crowded around Yosuke to help him recover. My eyes widened as I ran over to Yosuke. I placed my hand on Yosuke's back and looked over at Adachi who was looking down with a sorrowful glance. All of a sudden I saw a young man approach from behind Adachi. He looked sinister with fiery red hair. Suddenly, he starts dramatically laughing with his whole body as he points to the downed Yosuke.
"Oh man! I saw that! That was perfect! You make it look so easy! All you had to do was shock the brat!" He was still laughing as he puts his arm around Adachi. He stopped laughing and became serious. "That's what you get for messing with us. If it was me, I would have cut that little shit into a thousand pieces." He gave an evil smirk. Now I knew more about why Adachi was here. Was Adachi really with this guy? Why does it surprise me? I stood slowly and approached Adachi and the mysterious red head. The red head started to look irritated by my decision to confront them.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" I asked confidently. I refused to back down. I refused to let this guy think he intimidated me. He removed his arm from around Adachi and stepped forward. "I'm Sho. Sho Minazuki."
Adachi POV
I was all nerved up. I watched as Yu engaged Sho. No one knows Sho like I know him. He was a stubborn brat. He likes to fight and he doesn't need much of an excuse to get in one either. He was always itching to use those swords of his. I needed to use my quick thinking to get Yu to back off. "Why don't you take your injured friend and get out of here before you end up being the thousand pieces he mentioned." I said in a cocky tone. I saw Sho smile mischievously from the corner of my eye. My eyes burned into Yu. Yu still wasn't backing down. Actually he took a few steps closer. What an idiot. This was getting ridiculous. I heard coughing and looked past Yu. I saw that partner of his cough up blood. Sheesh…was he really that hurt? I guess he shouldn't have sent his Persona after me. I wasn't going to just stand there and be attacked. But still, I felt a slight ping in my heart. It was regret. Not because I hurt that brat but because I hurt Yu. I heard loud thunder clap and the ground beneath me started to shake violently.
"It's about time." Sho said looking up. I was just as curious as everyone else. I don't know exactly what Sho was doing while we were apart.
"Time for…?" I was curious but exhausted.
"Just wait…" Sho said. I grew impatient and pinched the bridge of my nose between my thumb and forefinger. I didn't have enough energy for his games.
"Could you tell me exactly what I'm waiting for?" Every second with this kid felt like babysitting. I crossed my arms and he looked at me irritated as he furrowed his brow. "What? Was it something I said?" I said sarcastically and laughed. I felt myself get tugged hard and fast by my shirt collar. Oh jeez, here we go. I awaited Sho's dramatic I'm in charge attitude. Seriously kid, you're an amateur.
"You think you're so funny, don't you?" Sho's eyes began to glow red. I braced myself for what was about to happen. Suddenly, the gravity felt like it was going to break every bone in my body. It was worse than last time. Was he stronger? But how? The pressure squeezed a groan out of my diaphragm. I could hear Yu and his friends groaning as well. "I'll show all of you I don't need anybody. Not even you." His words were cold as they added to the intense atmosphere. The walls around us started to crumble as the shaking became even more violent. Even though Sho was immature and moody. I felt as if he was the only one who could understand me. I thought we were alike but we are nothing alike. I might have been like him at one time. I'm not that person anymore. "Have anything funny to say now?" Sho spoke confidently. That was it. I felt the anger course through me like an uncontrollable wave.
"Ma-ga-tsu Iza-nagi…" The pressure became greater as I struggled to stay conscience. I saw my persona appear and strike Sho. I fell hard to the floor as Sho's body went flying. I got up on my feet but rested my hands on my knees as I tried to catch my breath. I looked over at Sho as he laid there limp and motionless. The shaking stopped. Everything stopped. I regained my composure and walked over to Sho. I tapped his arm with the toe of my shoe. He didn't move. I crouched next to him and gave his face a playful tap. "Hey I know you're not that weak. Get up." He opened his eyes and looked away from me. "I know you don't wanna hear this but we all need those things called bonds. Even you." I said as I poked his forehead. He laid there silently. I got up and turned to walk away.
"You…don't know…shit." Sho breathed. His injuries made it difficult for him to speak. I smiled and continued to walk away. "They never learn. Huh Yu?" I joked as I approached Yu. "Well you did." Yu smiled back at me. The reality of the situation creeped in when Chie shook Yosuke trying to get him to respond.
"Yosuke! Come on Yosuke! Oh man, don't make me kick your butt!" Chie joked but you could see the panic in her eyes.
"Come on. Let's get him out of here." Yu spoke as he supported Yosuke. I took one last look at the defeated Sho. He was now faceless as the darkness of the TV world swallowed him. Another ending to another story. He'll be okay. I grinned reassuringly and walked out with everyone. I'm not alone and I never have to be alone again.
When we got back everything felt like it was a dream. Of course I went back to my holding cell. This however is never ending. The same moron guards and no evidence to determine what they will do with me. I sat alone once again. I was growing bored and felt like I could sleep for eternity. My eyes started to close and my body became limp.
"Number 82! You have a visitor!" My eyes opened and I yawned.
"Number 82!" The guard called out again. This moron repeats himself every time. I rolled my eyes as I got up on my feet.
"Yeah, yeah number 82. That's me." I sighed.
"I'm getting real sick of your attitude 82." The guard spoke in a peeved tone. I didn't care. I never care. These guards always act big and bad but at the end of the day they are just lap dogs to the higher ups. The guard grabbed my arm with unnecessary strength. I dealt with it as he led me to my visitor. Once we got to the visitors area the guard let me go and I sat in a blue chair. I looked across from me and it was Yu. I gave a silent chuckle and picked up the phone.
"What are you doing here kid?" My tone was sarcastic and as much as I wanted to smile I just bit my tongue. I don't want him thinking he has an impact on me. Even if he does.
"Yosuke's okay. He'll recover." Yu looked like he had more than that on his mind.
"I know you didn't just come to tell me that. Just spit it out." I caught his stare and looked into his eyes. He looked away and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Uh…What you did…in the TV…Thanks." Yu started to blush.
"What exactly did I do?" I smirked. I liked torturing him. He was an adorable idiot.
"Come on Adachi-san." Yu was now a shade of red.
"You're welcome." I figured I'd give him a break just this once. "Is that all?"
"And uh…I would still like to visit you….until you get out here at least." He spoke timidly.
"haha okay. You do that then." I hung up the phone and stood up. I heard a thud against the plexiglass. It startled me and I look down and Yu still has the phone glued to his ear. His hand resting on the plexiglass and his head hanging low. I sat down slowly and picked the up once more.
"Yes?" I questioned. He was acting so strange.
"I love you." He whispered without looking up.
"Eh?" I couldn't believe what I just heard. I was under the assumption I was coming back to jail and him and his pretty boy partner would live happily ever after.
"I…love you Adachi-san" He repeated the same words that left me dazed the first time. I wanted to see his face. I tapped on the plexiglass to get his attention. He slowly looked up at me. His gray eyes piercing my own.
"I love you too dumbass." I smiled. He was a dumbass but he was my dumbass. He didn't say anything. He just grinned back at me.
