I'm really sorry about the long wait. A lot has happened.
Disclaimer: Naruto and its characters belong to Masashi Kishimoto. Isza, Pay, and Tsukiko belong to me.
Words: Shannigan=Rinnegan+Sharingan (I find it funny how I came up with it before it showed up in the manga exactly how I envisioned it o.o)
Spoiler: I realize that Tobi isn't Madara but for the sake of the story...just keep on with it to see how I have it play out. Thank you. Enjoy.
Isza looked up hearing the door open. Her heart soar as it always did when the masked Pay came into view. She toted a dead rabbit that she laid out on the table in front of Tsukiko. For them of course, seeing as Pay still wished to keep to her vegetarian ways. Tsukiko smiled and stood up.
"Alas, your beautiful work makes for such glorious meals," Tsukiko praised, kissing the other's forehead in a motherly way.
Pay cringed a little at the praise before taking off her mask slowly. "I really wish you would remember that I don't take joy in doing that..."
Tsukiko frowned deeply, the words falling on deaf ears. The long haired sibling only saw life in one way and that was still a mystery to even them. The unusual way she talked, the movements she made with her arms and hands, and the stares she gave are what made her so different. It was as if she got cut short on the self control as Pay got cut short on health and Isza with memory. All Isza knew was to be a loyal ninja for the Akatsuki and had to constantly be reminded to think for herself.
"I do not know of what you're prattling on about, dear sister," Tsukiko said after a moment. She grabbed a knife and then the rabbit, making her way outside to cut it up.
Pay shivered and moved to her side of the small cottage and quickly shed her clothing, wanting to get the blood away from her. Suddenly she paused when she saw it on her skin and her eyes changed to their Shannigan form. The stare was intent and the brunette licked her lips. She wanted to see more of it. More.
"Pay!"
She jerked and looked over at her sister with tired eyes. Isza gave her a worried look, but Pay simply waved her off, laying down. She was out in no time. Isza sighed and stood, walking over to her sister's cot to gather the clothes. It has been concerning the amount of time the first triplet spent sleeping recently. She would get better suddenly then worse...just about the time one of them would leave and return. Isza washed Pay's skin of the blood then went back to her side of the cottage. She was ignoring what her gut feeling was telling her. Moreover, she worried more about Tsukiko finding out.
"What is the news?"
Eyes went to the one being spoken to. Zetsu ignored the stares as he melded out of the wall to fully announce his presense to the holograms. The meeting had to be quick. They had lost many in their organization. Too many to stay in one place for too long. Where to begin?
Deidara and Sasori met their end when Sasuke came up to even the playing fields. Sasori had gotten caught in the crossfire of Deidara's 'final art'. Hidan and Kakuzu were gone as well, Leaf Village. Pein had been turned 'good' and met his death by choice to bring back everyone he had worked hard to kill. What a pity seeing that Konan turned against him and he had to...dispose of her. Itachi had betrayed him and allowed his brother to kill him. As it stood the only ones left were Kisame, Zetsu, and himself. Madara. Kisame had been let in on it and their present concern were the girls. It was taxing with the upcoming war he was planning on announcing in due time to keep tabs on the triplets just to make sure Sasuke doesn't try to come in and take the favorite away. So many different things to worry about, so little time.
"Pay is growing weaker and weaker with each passing day. The sisters don't even seem to notice. How heartless."
Madara nodded and turned to look at Kisame.
"Itachi's little brother is currently preoccupied. No talk of anything but getting revenge on the Leaf Village for what they did to Itachi," he said, chuckling at the irony. "With all due respect, with Tsukiko and Isza by her side, I don't think we should be wasting our time on following them as well."
"What are you complaing about? You have the most chakra. It shouldn't be any trouble for you," Zetsu sneered at the hologram. Of course he wouldn't have dared to do such a thing if the man was there in front of him. Even he could be drained by that shark sword of his.
Kisame held back his snide comeback when Tobi held up his hand for them to stop. "I think you're still tainted by how this organization used to be run," he said in a snarling tone.
Kisame held up his hands. "I am simply stating that we are wasting resources on the wrong things. He is on our side now after all." 'Sheesh...I think I preferred when he acted like a child.'
"Very well. Then we will stop surveillance on Sasuke for a little while and see if Kisame is right. Let's hope for his sake he is."
With that he ended the call, so to speak. With the death of his organization, he had let his true nature out. The nature that only the triplets and Pein had known for the longest time. He had to. He had to cover up his mistakes before they get put into this war against him. He would rather have them with him, but that wasn't going to happen, he knew that much. He was hoping that by convincing Sasuke that the leaf village was his target, he would have a better chance in keeping tabs on him.
Time would have to tell how his plan would unfold. For now, Zetsu would be sent ahead to make sure the girls don't catch too much wind on their sister's condition.
Hats were put on and it was decided. They needed to know what to do with the jinjuriki. The five kages from different areas were to meet at the summit to give a decision after the attack of the Leaf Village and the attack on the 8-tails. A man named Danzou was going in place of Tsunade. He had all but forced himself into position. Everyone had nerves about this meeting. Some better than others.
