Dear Mikan Hyuuga,
Hi sweetie, so today your Daddy and I were walking and we happen to walk by jewelry store and it reminded me of the day your Daddy proposed. Well, tried to at least. Your Daddy and I got married our second year of college. But he proposed the spring break of our freshman year and the thing was I was working all throughout spring break.
So, one day he asked to have dinner at a restaurant.
The thing was that, that night I got a call from one of my friends saying that another restaurant needed an emergency waitress and since we needed the money I said yes.
I left a message for him but your Daddy never got it.
The restaurant I was going to help out at was actually the restaurant your Daddy made reservations for.
Now I'm working and as I'm in the kitchen I hear a few waitresses giggling about a really handsome guy that was there to propose to his girlfriend.
They kept talking about how lucky the girl was. But the table he sat at was in my section, so imagine my surprise when I got to the table of the handsome man who was going to propose tonight to only see your Daddy.
I was so surprised that I dropped the tray I was holding. Everyone in the restaurant turned to look at us. To see that I was crying.
The waitresses came running to check that I was okay. But once they got there your Daddy mumbled something about that this was not how he planned on proposing and got out of his chair then dropped to one knee.
And he asked if I would marry him and of course I said yes.
Well, I didn't say yes, I was crying to hard. I just nodded.
It turned out that your Daddy had been planning that night for a really long time.
He had your Aunt Hotaru to go with him to the jewelry store.
After, he went to your Grandpa Narumi to ask for my hand in marriage and asked if he would walk me down the aisle. Your Grandpa Narumi of course said yes
That was one of the best nights I have ever had. You know, some people were really surprised when your Daddy and I got engaged and how romantic it was.
Well, it was supposed to be romantic but I wouldn't change for anything. Your Daddy might seem mean to other people but your Daddy is a BIG MUSHBALL when it comes to us. And I know he will always will be. Now that is the story of how your Daddy and I got engaged. Love you.
