Yuzu's death

Chapter 11

Sayuri Lapis: Sorry it took so long but I was really busy. We're getting pretty close to the end! I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V.

"You ask who Yuzu was?" Yuya asked. The purple haired girl nodded. "Who was she? I am guessing she was important to you because you said I looked a lot like her."

Yuya sighed. "Yuzu was my wife, for a short while though."

"Your wife?" Selena asked. Yuya nodded. "Yeah, she died 5 years ago though, from a pregnancy complication."

"Oh." Selena murmured. "How old was she when she gave birth?"

"She was 14 years old." Yuya answered. "What? That's really young!" Selena exclaimed. "Were you 14 too?"

Yuya nodded.

"I didn't know, are you nineteen years old?" Selena asked. Yuya nodded and smiled a little bit. "It's my entire fault, I was drunk and I didn't watch where I was going." He said. The purple haired girl smiled and then looked outside. "I have to go home. It was nice meeting you. Can we meet tomorrow morning at the bench outside?" She asked, shaking his hand. "Yeah, and it was nice meeting you too." Yuya said.

"I didn't get your name. What is it?" Selena then asked.

"Yuya, Yuya Sakaki." The tomato head replied. "Well, see you later Yuya Sakaki. My name is Selena." The purple haired woman said, walking away. Yuya watched her walk farther and farther away from him. He then touched his chest. This feeling… He thought. I never felt this in a long time…ever since Yuzu was alive.

The tomato head looked up into the night sky. "I should probably go home right now." He murmured. He walked home and saw his mom waiting for him, tapping her foot. "Mom…" Yuya started. "Yuya, why did you leave the house without permission?" Yoko asked. "I wanted to go out for a while mom." Yuya firmly answered. "You should have asked me." Yoko said, her eyes glaring at Yuya.

"Mom, I'm really sorry." Yuya apologized.

The blond haired woman eyed her son cautiously. Yuya's acting differently tonight. Usually, he would be berserk but why is he acting calm?

"Yuya, just go to your room, we'll talk later." She sighed. Yuya nodded and walked up to his bedroom.

She sat on the couch next to TJ, who was munching on popcorn and watching a movie on TV. "Mom, what's wrong?" TJ asked, his mouth stuffed.

"Yuya went out without my consent again." Yoko answered.

Yuya looked outside of his bedroom window, staring at the stars. He tapped his fingers on the window and sighed. He turned around and looked at his room. It had stayed the same his entire life. Nothing changed, not a bit.

Later, he heard a knock on the door. "Come in." Yuya gruffly called out. The door opened. It was just his mom. "Yuya, I need to talk with you." She said.

"What is it?" The tomato head asked. "Sit down on the bed with me." Yoko said. Yuya nodded and sat down next to his mother.

"Yuya, don't you think you should start dating again?" Yoko asked. Yuya looked up at his mom. "Why would you ask that?" He asked.

"Well, you told me that a girl snapped you out of your drunkenness, right?" The blond haired woman asked.

"Uh, yeah." Yuya mumbled.

"I think that's a good thing. We'll see how it goes for the next few days." Yoko said, rubbing her son's head. "Now go to sleep." She said and kissed his forehead. Yoko went downstairs and she sat on the couch next to TJ, who was munching on popcorn and watching a movie on TV. "Mom, what's wrong?" TJ asked, his mouth stuffed.

"I just had a little talk with Yuya." She sighed. "That makes sense." said TJ.

Roberto came into the room, "Hey!" He said to TJ.

"Hey!" the green and red haired male replied. "What's up?"

"Nothing." TJ shrugged. "Just watching TV."

"Oohh…What's on TV?" Roberto then asked. "Nothing much." TJ replied.

"Ok, both of you boys should be in bed. Turn off the TV right now and get ready for sleep." Yoko told both of them.

"Aww….right now auntie?" Roberto whined. "Come on Roberto. There's no use complaining." TJ told him. The tan skinned boy pouted but agreed.

As the boys went upstairs, Yoko decided to get ready for sleep herself as well.

The night passed by, and soon it was morning. Yuya awoke to the bright sun's rays shining in his eyes.

"Morning already huh?" He murmured to himself.

Yuya went down the pole and saw Yoko in the kitchen. "Up early this morning huh? You haven't waked up at this time in years!"

"Yeah, today's different. I promised a girl that I would meet her this morning at the bench near the pub." Yuya told her.

"I have to go with you for that." His mom said.

"Ok." Yuya answered, "I don't have a problem with that."

Later, they walked together and Yuya saw her at the bench. "Good morning Yuya, who is that with you?" Selena asked.

"That's my mom. Mom, this is Selena, this was the girl that I was talking to you about." The tomato haired adult said.

"Hello. You can call me Yoko Sakai. I'm Yuya's mom." The blond haired woman told her.

"Hello ." Selena greeted, shaking her hand.

Yuya could feel the same feeling from yesterday rise in his heart.

Meanwhile, back at the Sakaki household, little Hana woke up and went to her daddy's room. "Daddy's not here." She said to herself.

She then went down to the kitchen and found no one there. "Hana, it's a little early. What are you doing here?" Roberto asked, yawning.

"I'm looking for daddy." The pink, green, and red haired girl answered. "Where is he?"

"Well, I don't know, let me see, he's probably sleeping." TJ answered.

"I went into his room. He's not there." Hana said.

"It doesn't look like my mom's here either." TJ said. "She must have gone out and took Yuya with her. Go back to sleep"

"But I'm hungry." Hana whined. TJ rolled his eyes and sighed. "Fine, I'll make you pancakes." He said.

Yuya, Yoko and Selena walked together. "So where do you want to go?" Yuya asked.

As Selena was about to answer, she saw a blue haired boy approaching. "Hey Sora!" Selena greeted.

"Hello Selena, Hey Yuya and Mrs. Sakaki." Sora greeted, licking his lollipop. "What are you doing out here so early in the morning?"

"Yuya just wants to walk with his girl."

"Mom…." Yuya groaned. Selena blushed a little bit.

The blue haired boy chuckled a little. "Well, I have to go somewhere. See ya!" Sora said, walking away.

"Yuya, I forgot to tell you, but do you know what day it is?" Yoko asked.

"What?" Yuya asked, confused. "It's Hana's birthday today. Don't you think you should get something for her?" His mom asked. "I think you should talk with your little girl today."

"Hana's birthday…." Yuya murmured. The thought of her birthday made him sad because it was also the day that Yuzu Hiragi died. Selena immediately noticed his bad mood. "What's wrong Yuya?" The purple haired girl asked.

"Today is my daughter's birthday and the anniversary of my wife's death." He gloomily said. "Yuya, please don't think about that." His mother pleaded.

Selena looked in the other direction and shouted someone's name. "Yuri!" She shouted
