Yuzu's Death
Chapter 12
Sayuri Lapis: This is the last chapter of the main story. After that, there will be an epilogue. I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC V.
"Who's Yuri?" Yuya Sakaki asked.
Selena blushed and smiled. Oh no, don't tell me he is her… The tomato head nervously thought.
The next words made Yuya freeze. "He's my boyfriend." Selena replied.
The words that came out of Selena's mouth made Yuya's heart shatter. He bent down and put his goggles over his eyes.
Yoko immediately noticed this. "What's wrong Yuya? Is there a problem?" She asked, looking concerned.
"It's…It's nothing!" Yuya bitterly answered.
"Yuya, I'd like you to meet my boyfriend, Yuri." The purple haired girl said.
Yuya looked up and pulled off the goggles. He could see that that guy had his hair styled like an onion and he had purple hair and devious violet eyes. He wore a prince like outfit as well as black boots and light blue pants with a purple tank top.
"Why hello there, my name is Yuri." He greeted.
"Y-Yeah, My name is Yuya, Yuya Sakaki." The tomato head greeted bitterly, shaking hands with him. Yuya could clearly see that Yuri was smiling.
"Excuse me, but I forgot to do something that is important. So see ya later." Yuya said, putting his goggles over his eyes and ran away.
"Yuya, where are you going?" Yoko asked running after him. Yuri and Selena watched her run after him, looking confused.
"They seem nice, but a little weird." Yuri muttered.
Yoko finally caught up with Yuya sometime later and grabbed his arm. "I am so ashamed of you being my son. Your behavior towards Yuri was poor." She scolded him.
Yuya just kept silent. "What do you have to say for yourself?" She asked, tapping her foot impatiently.
"I…" Yuya started, looking up. "I don't feel ashamed. I'm going back to who I was. Staying up in my room and drinking beer like there's no tomorrow!" He yelled and ran home.
"Yuya, wait!" cried Yoko.
The tomato head ignored her and ran home. He then ran up to his room and slammed the door behind him.
Yuya panted loudly and noticed an unopened bottle of beer. He walked up to it and opened it. The tomato headed male opened it and took a sip and could feel himself going insane. He then took off his shirt and pounded his temples while yelling like a monkey.
TJ was downstairs with Hana in the living room, reading a story to her. He stopped when he noticed the yelling. "Wait, when did Yuya come home? How come I don't see mom?" He asked.
The door opened and Yoko was standing there, panting. "Did Yuya come here?" She asked, coughing.
"Yeah, I could hear him making a ruckus upstairs in his room. He was fine this morning, what happened?" TJ asked. Yoko stopped coughing and sighed. "I don't know what's wrong with him. I'll go check."
Hana just stood there looking depressed. "What's wrong Hana?" TJ asked, rubbing her back.
"I wanted to see daddy because today is my birthday." Hana answered, tears coming out of her eyes. TJ smiled sadly. "I understand you want to see him, we'll see if he's doing fine." He told her.
Yoko walked upstairs and opened the door, only to be greeted by Yuya running towards him. "YUYA, THAT'S IT! YOU TOOK IT TOO FAR!" She shouted. "I WANT YOU TO STOP THIS BARBARIAC BEHAVIOR RIGHT NOW THIS INSTANT!"
The tomato head responded by growling and he soon became knocked out, falling to the ground. Yoko sighed and picked him up.
"You little…" Yoko growled, but then sighed and placed him on the bed. She walked out of the room and shut the door behind her.
Yoko walked down to Hana and TJ and sat down beside them. Hana snuggled against her grandmother; making TJ and Yoko herself smile.
"It's unfortunate that she didn't grow up with a mother raising her." TJ sighed. "It's fine, I raised her along with Yuya, even though she was with me for most of the time." Yoko commented.
The blond haired woman could remember the times when she breastfed Hana when they were out of formula for her. She could also remember the times that she played with her when the baby had no one to play with.
Hana sat up and tugged on Yoko's green sleeve. "I want to see daddy." She murmured softly.
"I'm afraid that you can't see him right now, but I have a birthday present to give you." Yoko told her with a smile on her face.
"What is it?" Hana asked, her periwinkle eyes widening.
Yoko giggled and went into the kitchen. A few seconds later, she came back with a pink duel disk and a deck of cards. "This is for you. Your mother was a duelist, dueling with this duel disk and these cards in games with your father when they were younger." She told her.
"The cards look so cute!" Hana said in awe as she looked at the cards. "I'll start teaching you next week on how to duel, so you can become a professional. Aunt Ayu and Uncle Futoshi and Uncle Tatsuya can teach you too." Yoko told her.
Hana smiled at the mention of their names. Hearing those names always warmed her heart, because she felt like they understood her. "Can Grandpa Shuzo teach me too?" Hana asked.
"When he comes back from the dueling tournament over there in America." Yoko said to her.
"Mom…Are you really going to do that?" TJ moaned.
"What's wrong with that?" The blond haired woman asked. "Well, it's just that Hana's kind of competitive. You know that she breaks down when she loses in something. I don't want to see her crying." TJ answered.
"Don't worry, I'll teach her good sportsmanship." Yoko assured him. She then looked at the little girl, who was smiling. She then looked at her watch, "I have to go do something. Will you watch Hana for me?"
TJ nodded. "Sure, there's no problem with that." He winked. Yoko looked around the living room. "Where's Roberto?" She asked.
"He's at the beach, learning how to surf." TJ shrugged, closing his eyes. "Well, don't slack off on the job. You're watching over a six year old girl here." Yoko said and left the house, closing the door behind her.
TJ then yawned. "I'm going to sleep, so don't tell mom and don't make any trouble." TJ said tiredly. Hana nodded and waited for him to go to sleep. As soon as he was knocked out, Hana sneaked quietly upstairs and stood in front of Yuya's room. She took a deep breath. The green, red and pink haired girl opened the door and as soon as she smelled the odor, she pinched her nose and walked over to the bed.
She could see her father sleeping softly. Hana touched his skin and whispered to him. "Daddy."
Yuya started to wake up and yawn. He looked at Hana in front of her and growled. Hana shivered with fear and stepped back.
The red and green haired male sat up and stood up. He continued to growl and walked towards her. "You get back here…" Yuya growled to her. Hana's body started to shake and her heart was beating loudly. She looked around and found an empty beer bottle and picked it up. The little girl then threw it at Yuya's face like a ball and it caused a huge cut on his face as well as cutting his arm.
Yuya bent down and howled in pain. Hana opened the door and ran out as fast as she could downstairs. She then sat down next to TJ and lied down with him with fear.
The little girl then heard the door open. Roberto came in, panting like a dog. "Man, am I beat." He moaned. The tan skinned male then sighed and shut the door. He noticed that Hana was shivering with fear.
"What's wrong Hana?" Roberto asked with concern.
"Daddy…" She sobbed. The tan skinned male could hear moaning and groaning from upstairs. Roberto decided to go upstairs to see what's going on. He opened the door and gasped when he saw Yuya Sakaki on the floor covering his bloody cheek and he was screaming. aH
"Oh my god…" Roberto started, looking horrified at the loss of blood on his arm. He ran downstairs and called 911. A few minutes later, the ambulance came and the driver came out and ran to Roberto. "So what's the problem?" The driver asked.
"My cousin Yuya is in pain right now in his room; his cheek is cut really badly, so is his arm." Roberto answered. "Can you take us to him?" The driver asked again. Roberto nodded and led the driver and the rest of the paramedics to Yuya Sakaki's room.
"That is pretty gruesome. Ok everyone, let's pick him up." He said. The other members agreed and picked up Yuya's body and took it to the ambulance. Hana and Roberto watched as the ambulance went away.
"Will daddy be ok?" Hana asked with concern.
Roberto nodded, "He'll be fine. But I wonder how he got that cut though."
Hana started to feel guilt in her chest, so she decided to say it.
"I did that to daddy." The little girl confessed, her periwinkle eyes watering. "Today was my birthday and I wanted to see him. But then he went crazy. He was about to attack me but I didn't know what to do, so I threw a bottle at him and it hit his face and he started to bleed." She sobbed.
Roberto patted her on the back. "It's ok. But you should have had TJ with you." He told her.
They went back inside and TJ woke up as they went in.
"What's up?" He yawned.
"You are such an idiot." Roberto muttered. TJ's eyes widened, "What did I do?" He asked.
"You were supposed to be with Hana the whole time. She went into Yuya's room and Yuya tried to attack her and she threw a bottle at him and now he's in the hospital because he had a really bad cut on his cheek and his arm." Roberto explained.
"How am I going to explain this to mom?" TJ asked, looking very worried.
Meanwhile, in the hospital, Yuya was slumbering in the hospital bed.
"Where am I?" Yuya asked, standing in the middle of nothing. "Am I even alive?"
He ran around, but soon got tired as he realized that there was no way getting of getting out.
"Yuya…" A female voice echoed.
The tomato head instantly recognized that voice. "Yuzu?" He yelled. "Is that you?"
He looked around, and saw a figure standing in the fog. "YUZU!" He cried, running towards the fog. As soon as he ran up to it, he saw nothing.
"Damn it!" Yuya cried, falling to the ground and banging his fists. "Why is that I always keep losing everything?" He could feel the tears coming down his eyes.
As he was crying, a pair of warm hands touched his shoulders. Yuya turned around and gasped. "Yuzu!"
Yuzu Hiragi was standing there, smiling sadly. "Yuya, why did you become like this?" She asked.
Yuya was at loss for words. "I don't know…I guess after you died, I felt lost and upset. I'm sorry…" He started to cry.
The pink haired girl wiped the tears off of his face. "Don't cry. You still have a chance to fix things up." She told him.
"What chances do I have?" He asked somberly.
Yuzu Hiragi bent down and gave him a light kiss on the lips. "Stop drinking and acting crazy. Start loving our daughter…" She said to him before fading away.
"Yuzu!" Yuya cried. "Where are you?"
As he was about to stand up, he could hear his mother's voice. "Yuya!" She cried.
Yuya opened his eyes and sat up. He could see that everyone was there. His mom, Roberto, TJ, Ayu, Futoshi, Tatsuya, and of course, Hana.
"We were all worried about you. Roberto and TJ told me the news." Yoko told him.
"I'm so glad you're ok bro." His twin brother said.
"I thought you were gonna die." Roberto sobbed.
"It's a miracle that Yuya nii-chan is still alive." Futoshi said. Tatsuya and Ayu nodded in agreement.
Hana stepped closer to the bed.
"Hana…" Yuya started.
"Daddy…I'm sorry…" The green, red, and pink haired girl sobbed.
The tomato head started to feel sorry for her, so he patted her head. "It's ok. I'm glad you did that." He told her. "Yuya!" Yoko scolded.
"Mom, when she did that, she knocked some sense into me and made me realize what I did was wrong." Yuya said, smiling.
Hana blushed a little. Yuya then noticed the cards and the pink duel disk in her hands. "That was your mother's. Where did you get that?" He asked.
"I gave them to her." Yoko told him. "She'll learn how to duel so she can enter championships."
"I see." Yuya then looked at the window. "Where is my duel disk and my deck?"
"They are in my room. Why do you ask that?" Yoko asked.
"I want to start dueling again." Yuya said.
"Really?" Ayu, Futoshi, and Tatsuya yelled out at the same time. The tomato head nodded.
"Well, looks like he's back." Roberto sighed. TJ nodded in agreement, with a smile on his face.
Selena and Yuri entered the hospital room. "We heard about what happened." Selena said, holding Yuri's hand. "Are you ok?" She asked Yuya.
The tomato head nodded. He took Hana's hand and squeezed it tightly.
"Hana, I'm sorry on how I treated you back at home in my room. I'm also very sorry that I couldn't be with you back in the previous years. Will you forgive me?" Yuya asked. "I'll make it up for you."
Hana grinned and nodded. Yoko started to cry tears of joy. "My son is back…" She sobbed.
