Journal entry N°19- Leo's journal:
Perfection
My whole life I've strived for perfection.
It is my duty as leader and future heir of the Hamato Clan to be perfect in every way possible.
I've mastered all the katas known by ninja.
I've read the most complicated strategy books and memorized them all to the point I could quote them verbatim.
I've faced blood thirsty enemies, fought deadly warriors here on Earth, in other galaxies and dimensions and came back alive to tell the tale.
My mind is sharp and clear from distracting thoughts; my reflexes are envied by many including my own brothers. My plans have saved our shells countless times.
My whole life I've strived for perfection; training day and night to be ready for anything without rest.
I have sacrificed my free time in order to learn a new movement, sharpen my swords or memorize a new strategy book and all that for what?
So I can defend the innocent and helpless.
So I can make justice.
So I can protect the ones I love.
So I can bring my family home safe.
So I can be the leader they need me to be.
But perfection always finds a way to slip through my fingers, to escape from my grasp, to avoid my way. And without perfection, failure takes over.
My failure clouds my mind, interferes with my reflexes, ruins my plans… and my family suffers because of it.
Because I was not strong enough, not fast enough or not clever enough.
Because I was not perfect.
My whole life I've strived for perfection and I know such goal is impossible to achieve but if something I have learned from Donatello is that impossible is a word that shouldn't exist in our vocabulary.
And so, until I'm not the perfect ninja my family needs: I will not rest, I will never stop training and studying. I will not be in peace until I've reached it.
Even if I have to die for it, perfection shall be mine.

Obsessive Leo is best Leo in my books and I can relate to him in so many aspects, the search for perfection being one of them.
