Kevin's Pov: Today is the 23rd of July that means today is my Benji's birthday and its 9am so I am making sure everything was booked and reserved for today while he still sleeps and I sent emails to everyone not to bug us no matter what because I was trying to really give him a good surprise. Just as I closed the laptop he gets out of bed and his eyes are still shut. I guess he is headed for a nice hot shower to wake him up was what I said to myself but then he walks downstairs and opens the fridge. Oh so he was just getting something to drink I realized with a grin. Once he let out a burp as long and loud as a lion's roar he got back into bed and fell right back to sleep. He should sleep in late it's his birthday I smiled as I knew he would be awake soon enough. Realizing that he went out of his way to make my birthday unimaginable I decided to try and do the same thing only 100 times better. I slip off my bed and slip into my slippers then I walk quietly downstairs and start to think of what to make Benji. Suddenly I hear my phone ring the caller ID shows it as Gwen's mobile.

"Hi Kevin how are things over there I hardly ever hear from either of you anymore Gwen said disappointed."

You picked the worst time to call I am trying to make Benji a nice birthday breakfast I growled at her.

"Oh sorry it just I used to enjoy just hanging out and sharing laughs as a trio not always having to save my cousins ass day after day Gwen sighed."

Well yeah it was fun to just kick back share a few laughs and just goof around but I best get back to figuring out what to make I said while twirling the spatula with my fingers.

"He eats anything especially if it's your cooking Gwen replied cheerfully."

That's true I guess well cya later I said wanting this chatter to end.

"Ok bye Kev she replied before finally hanging up."

Once she hung up I was trying to figure what was best to surprise Benji and I found out I had bacon, sausage, milk chocolate, white chocolate, grapes, apples and all the ingredients to make homemade pancake batter. I got busy wrapping the bacon strips around the sausages and then I put them in an oiled pan. I then got busy mixing the batter till it wasn't lumpy and it was thick after that I poured the fruits and chocolates into the batter and heated up the griddle. I noticed that it was half past ten and Ben was still asleep but as the meats crackled and the pancakes reached perfection I heard my bed sheets rustle. "The bacon smell is probably what woke him" I thought to myself and soon enough I had everything ready even a tall glass of no pulp orange juice. As soon as everything was on the living room table he walked in.

Morning Kev wow did I really sleep in that late Ben yawned.

Morning Benji and happy birthday why don't you just sit back and get comfy I smiled.

Wow this looks good did you make all this Ben said shocked at the food infront of his face.

Of course I did and I am going to head out for a little while I won't be gone too long I grinned.

Ok well just be careful can never know what's around the corner Ben smiled while he pulled a stack of pancakes off the plate.

Right I know and don't worry about a thing at all today because it's your birthday you should be at your happiest today I said as I played with his bedhead.

Well at least eat something before you leave Ben said sliding a plate of food towards me.

Is your face on the menu I asked while I ate?

Ha cute you don't need to ask me about something as obvious as that and it's more enjoyable when we are together and neither of us has to run out Ben replied.

Good point and I would take you with me but I don't want to ruin the element of surprise I said kissing him before I left.

Ben's Pov: It was 11am and I was home alone on my birthday I felt the chill of morning air brush past my chest I decided a nice hot foam bath would be good I pour in enough bubble bath liquid and run the water as hot as it will go soon enough a thick blanket of foam was formed on top of the water. I slid out of my pajamas and into the hot water. While in my bath I was thinking of what Kev told me before he left *I would take you with me but I don't want to ruin the element of surprise.* what exactly is he trying to do to surprise me he knows I am my happiest when we are together regardless if it's facing aliens, watching our friends compete or just snuggled up together watching movies.

=Meanwhile with Kevin=

I was out with Sylvia and Marla looking around for something I could give Benji during the surprise. Right now we decided to step into the jewelry store that was run by Artur's cousin Nissa and as soon as she saw us she noticed my necklace.

I know this may sound odd but I sold a necklace just like that about a month ago said Nissa trying to piece everything together.

Well I got it from my boyfriend I said smiling remembering the point I tried it on.

Wait a second is your boyfriend Ben Tennyson asked Nissa?

Yes that's right so does that mean he came here the day he was supposed to just hang around with his friends I asked the girls?

Yeah you figured it out he did but I don't know why he would want to spend a hang day worrying about birthday gifts Marla said.

It is clear as day Ben felt pressed for time and he had an idea in his head so he wanted to get it out of the way so it wouldn't stress him anymore Sylvia smiled.

Well now I have no idea of what to get him and today is Benji's birthday.

WHAT oh wow well we need to think of things he's into Marla said starting to panic.

Marla calm down just call Artur and ask him if he noticed if Ben saw anything that grabbed his personal interest while they were hanging out Sylvia said grabbing Marla by the shoulder.

Your right thanks for that Sil I'm glad you came along Marla smiled after getting a grip on herself.

Marla's Pov: I was out with Sil and Kev shopping for Ben's birthday gift and I just finished dialing Artur.

"Hey Marla what's up Artur answered"

Hi I'm at Nissa's with Sil and Kev today is Ben's birthday and we have no idea what to get him I explained.

"Not even Kevin has an idea on what to get Artur replied puzzled"

Nope but Sil had an idea back when you and Ben were hanging out on your way to and from Nissa's did he ever just stop and stare at anything that caught his personal interest I asked?

"No nothing but try to act like Ben and how he did what he did with Kevin's necklace hope that helps Artur replied"

We will give it a try thanks bye now I answered and hung up.

So Kevin lets fallow Artur's advice and try to act like Ben did in picking out your necklace I said putting my hand on his shoulder seeing as he was stressing things out.

Ok well he knew I was born in June so my birthstone was the pearl and so he got me a black pearl cause he thinks I'm one of a kind Kevin replied looking at his necklace trying to figure out the reasons. Ok so July is the ruby yet his eyes are green and also when he smiles his happiness shines like a freshly mined diamond Kevin said thinking of what Ben meant to him.

I know just what to do just leave it to me Nissa smiled before heading for the creation chamber with Kevin behind her.

=Back with Ben=

It was 12 and I was relaxing watching something funny on TV in nothing but a bath robe sipping down a tall glass of coffee milk. My mind wouldn't stop racing I knew Kevvy wanted me to stay home and just be comfortable on my birthday but I couldn't stop thinking about what he said at breakfast so with nothing to do I changed to game screen and picked out a selection of games that would keep me busy. After spending an hour and half of gaming I hear a bike motor drawing close to the house so I knew it was Kevin.

Hey sweetie how you enjoying your birthday so far Kev asked as he walked over to me?

So far it is good I replied keeping my answers brief.

That's good so anything troubling you because you seem not as talkative Kev said.

Nope and no I didn't leave home and no my watch hasn't gone off so there is no battles I had to manage. I been doing everything you told me to do I answered turning off my games.

Oh ok are you sure nothing is troubling you Kev asked looking right into my eyes?

Well there is something my mind is stuck on but it's nothing troublesome I answered.

Come on babe talk to me you know I will listen Kev said holding me close.

It's just I'm trying to figure out why your trying to surprise me when you should obviously know I am happiest when we are together regardless if it's facing aliens, watching our friends compete or just snuggled up together I sighed.

Oh is that all I'm just trying to be the best I can be for you and I wanted to make your birthday better then you did with mine Kev said as he kissed me.

You don't need to improve yourself at all I don't want you to change anything about yourself just stay you and that's enough for me I smiled as I eased myself into his grasp.

I will make sure that I keep you smiling Kevin said. What in the hell why are people always calling us I swear if it is Gwen again I will flip Kevin growled noticing that the phone was ringing.

I'll answer it then I sighed. Hello Levin residents Ben Tennyson speaking I answered as I picked up the phone.

"Oh Benjamin I'm glad to hear your voice I'm I was one of the doctors who tried to keep you alive I take it the recovery went well"

Yes the recovery was smooth and I did nothing that would cause it to backfire on me I replied.

"Is Kevin home I have the science team head with me and she would like to talk to him"

Of course here he is I replied as I held out the phone.

Hello this is Kevin and what exactly was it you wanted to talk about Kevin answered.

"My name is Anna Belanger and as you been told I'm the head of the science research branch of the exam center"

So what is the reason you have for calling me Kevin repeated?

"Your boyfriend's cousin visited my branch a while ago giving us evidence from the attack scene and gave us your number as first contact"

So your saying Gwen asked you to call me first seeing as I was his boyfriend Kevin asked puzzled?

"Yes and we now can pin point the alien breeds that tried to attack Benjamin"

Ok then I'm all ears I want to go hunt them down and bring them in Kevin said ready to write the names of the aliens down.

"Think about it carefully you have already faced them they will no doubt remember how you battled them so you wouldn't be able to lay a single punch now and besides that would you want to leave Ben's side"

Your right I didn't put all that much thought of it so I'm guessing you're going to send elite plumbers after them and take the vile aliens into custody Kevin sighed.

"Correct but we wanted to tell you the alien breeds in case you ever saw these aliens again"

Ok then I got a sheet of paper and a pen with me Kevin replied.

After a while of writing and talking the conversation ended and he hung up.

Kevin's Pov: it was 2 and I just got a call from the plumbers about what aliens attacked Benji back in the park and learned what breeds they were aswell as the park was safe to return to. Hey Benji the park is safe to go back to if you want to I smiled at my boyfriend.

Sure it's nice out let me just go change into something Ben said as he slid out of my grasp.

I waited down by my bike soon he came downstairs and jumped on his. Why do you always ride on your own is it just how your used to it I asked before he put his helmet on?

Just wanted to read over the data screen and wanted to make sure it still functioned properly Ben replied before sliding off his and onto the back of mine.

Oh ok let's go I smiled and then took off. As soon as we get to the park he layed down on the grass and stared up at the clouds. See anything good I asked?

You mean besides your face Kevvy he giggled in reply.

I felt myself blush at how cute he was being. You're so cute when you act like that I smiled sitting down by him.

Well the clouds sure are forming up in odd shapes Ben said.

Really what do they look like I asked?

Oh well there's a dragon with a mermaid tail and next to it is a crocodile with a dolphins dorsal fin Ben said pointing up to the clouds and tracing the fluffy formations with his finger.

Your right babe and this one is very amusing I smiled.

Really what is it sweetie Benji asked?

A scarecrow wearing headphones rocking out was my reply.

Ha-ha you're right it is funny and see I'm happier when I'm around you Ben smiled.

Your right Ben we bring out the best of one another and here it's your present I said as I put a small box in his hand.

Your heart is all I ever need to feel complete Ben replied before he opened the box.

Do you like it I didn't know what to get you so I tried to find something that you would like I asked?

It's wonderful and it's from Nissa's shop isn't it Ben replied.

Yes it is and that wasn't the surprise but it will be revealed soon enough I smiled.

Ok if there is anything you want to do that's fine with me Ben replied while he sat up close to me.

I just want to spend time with you I smiled.

Well of course that will always happen but is there any place in particular you wanted to go Ben asked as he slid the bracelet on?

Well the surprise is a 2 hour ride and I was thinking of heading there at sundown but now that you mention it we don't hang out with Gwen much anymore and I'm sure she misses seeing her cousin I replied.

Your right I'll go grab her and get her out of here while you think of something fun for the 3 of us to do Ben smiled.

Well I got a few fun things but there back at my home and I am not letting you barrel roll of the back of my bike to grab her I answered.

Don't stress the small details remember my bike is synched up to my watch it will pick me up and I'll get Gwen while you get the fun stuff Ben said.

Ok then we will all meet by your favorite tree I said as I kissed his cheek before I got on my bike.

Ben's Pov: It was 4 and I called my bike soon enough it was parked right infront of me I flip my visor down and plot out the fastest way to and from Gwen's as soon as the route was planned I started the motor and zipped off. Once I get to Gwen's I park my bike and walk over to door and knocked Aunt Natalie was the one who opened it.

"Yes can I help you she asked?"

Is Gwen home I asked?

"First off tell me who you are she stated."

Take a good look at me don't tell you forgotten your family already I chuckled.

"Oh Benjamin you gave me a startle and yes she is home I'll get her Aunt Natalie replied." Gwendolyn your cousin is here she called up the stairs.

"Ben's here ok I will be right there Gwen hollered."

Soon her door shot open and she came running down hugging me tight. Gwen stop can't you just hug me like a normal person and not with the hug of death I joked.

Sorry so what's up do you need me to help trash aliens and keep your ass safe from harm again Gwen asked?

No Kevin told me you called him this morning saying that you miss hanging out so while we were watching the clouds I decided I would grab you and we could all just have some fun I smiled.

Really oh wow this is great do I need to bring anything Gwen said squeezing me tight again.

Your crushing me and no you don't Kev is bringing the games knowing how fast he is on a bike he is sure to be back at the park soon so we should start our way there I answered.

Sorry couldn't help myself and ok let's go Gwen smiled.

I started the bike and zipped out of the driveway and headed back the way I came. Soon enough we were back at the park and Kevin wasn't back yet so we walked down the path that leads to my thinking tree.

So Ben where did you get the bracelet Gwen asked curiously?

Oh Kevvy bought it at the same jewelry shop I bought his necklace I answered admiring the bracelet.

Mind trying to explain it to me a little bit Gwen asked?

Well I guess Nissa took a ruby and turned it into a heart shape then dusted it with ground emerald and diamond I stated looking closely at the bracelet.

Well I'm glad you like it and looks like were here Gwen smiled as we stood infront of the hill the tree was on.

Great now all we have to do is wait for Kevvy was my answer as I plucked a ripe orange from the tree. After half an hour of talking with my cousin my eyes dart over to the pathway and there he is.

Oh good Kevin's here finally Gwen said.

I ran right for my boyfriend and wrapped my arms around him.

Glad to see me are you Kevin chuckled.

Well as fun at it was to just talk with my cousin I was hoping to see the holder of my heart soon enough I replied as my cousin approached us.

Hi Gwen so I'm sure you're glad that the trio is just hanging out and having fun Kevin smiled.

Yes but I'm mostly happy at how sweet you lovebirds are together makes me realize that you both were indeed meant for eachother Gwen replied.

Ok enough chatter now let's have some fun go long Benji said Kev as flung a Frisbee out.

I ran in the same path as the Frisbee and got out to where it started to fall and caught it on my foot. Gwen think fast I yelled and sent it flying.

Got it and Kevin you best watch yourself Gwen said as she grabbed it and right away sent it to Kev.

We played all sorts of fun stuff and Kevin was having so much fun especially while we played kickball because of my footwork. We played till 7pm. Once we saw the sky change color Gwen teleported herself home and I sent my bike back home.

So are you ready for the surprise Kevin asked as we walked back to the bike?

Yes it was a fun day but now I just want to find out where we are going and just relax together I replied taking out a blindfold from my back pocket and hid my eyes before placing my helmet on with the visor down.

Why you wearing that Kevin laughed.

You said it was a surprise and so when it comes to surprises shut eyes aren't always best option I smiled.

Oh right good point just hold on tight because it going to be a long ride Kevin replied starting the motor.

I know now let's go I said as I kicked the kickstand up.

Kevin's Pov: we were riding off to my sweethearts surprise and I knew that he wouldn't be able to ever top this. After a 2hour ride I pull into the garage and park my bike then I grab my sweetheart and walked us to the entrance. Once inside I yanked the blindfold off his face. Were here you can open your eyes Benji I smiled.

Kevin you're kidding me right now aren't you there is no way we are where I think we are there just isn't any chance at all Ben rambled with eyes open wide.

Well babe we are where you think I smirked.

Kevin this is so wonderful I'm so glad that it was you I fell for Ben said trying to recover from the shock.

I walked us over to the check in counter and they handed us our room card. We even got concierge level so that was even more of a shock to Ben.

Ben's Pov: I was speechless at how Kevin managed to get us into the Andros Hotel I didn't ever think he would try this hard to make me happy. As soon as we got into our room I sat down on the bed still trying to get myself together because let's face it Kevin is great but to be able to pull this off it means that clearly I fell for the right guy.

You ok sweetie did I surprise you a bit too much Kev asked?

Yeah you did I'm fine I'm just trying to wrap my head around all this I assured him.

I wanted everything to be perfect for the most perfect boyfriend on his birthday Kevin said before kissing me.

Your perfection enough Kevvy come on lets go take a nice hot shower together I replied.

Let's forget the shower and just change into our pajamas and stay nestled in bed Kevin smirked.

You can if you want but I usually shower at night besides I not tired yet I answered sliding out from under him.

Oh are we staying up to watch something Kev asked?

Once I dry off and change I'm hitting the bar downstairs I answered as I shut the bathroom door.
