Chapter23 Summer Sayonara Part1
Kevin's Pov: I didn't get home till way late last night because Albedo was on the other side of town and yet Ben was crazy but sweet and stayed up waiting for my return. But now it was 11 in the morning I just opened my eyes and saw Ben still asleep with his face stuffed into the pillow. I lifted him carefully and layed him on me and as I play with his hair I hear him giggle so I look around and notice I was tickling him with just my toes. I felt so calm that we could enjoy a peaceful morning in bed. I love him so much that I couldn't help but suck on his neck a little causing him to moan lightly so I start to bite a bit on his neck till I leave a mark causing him to moan a little louder. Each moan he would make me want him more but I knew I had to control myself. "Come on Benji you can't spend all day sleeping it's almost noon I said as I tickled him till he opened his eyes."
"Fine fine I'm up I'm up just stop it Kev he replied as he laughed."
"Now I don't care if you want to spend the entire day in bed but you can't spend the entire day asleep I smiled as I sat up and held him in my lap."
"Ok ok I get it sheesh Ben said as he slid out of my arms."
"Where do you think you're going I growled with a hint of seduction in my voice as I grabbed his arm and pulled him back into mine?"
"Getting a shower so I can wake up and cool down I feel really hot Ben replied sliding yet again out of my arms."
"Stop sliding out of my arms just stay here in bed with me and just lay naked on the bed it will cool you down I said as I pinned him and kissed him."
"Why didn't you eat the sweets on the counter I was planning on making them for you until you decided to help out Ben asked?"
"You're the only sweet thing for me but promise me if I ever go out late again due to aliens that you won't keep yourself up waiting for me I said with a serious glare on my face."
"Fine fine I won't keep myself up waiting for you and no I won't just lay naked on the bed not yet at least Ben replied."
"Go ahead then and take your cold shower I'll go get breakfast started for us I said as I released him."
"You go on and eat if you want there isn't any need to wait for me Ben replied before walking away."
Once downstairs I called Max to ask if there was anything the plumbers needed me for.
"In fact yes headquters wants you and Gwen to do night patrol that start at 8 and run till midnight tonight Max replied.
"Yeah ok that sounds fine well got to go bye" I replied before shutting off my mobile. Once I put my mobile on the counter I got busy cooking and tried to push aside any thought of the late night patrol I am going to soon face. As soon as I finish everything Ben walks in and just sips a glass of coffee milk. "You ok Ben I asked?"
"Yep just thinking about stuff I might do today Ben replied before poking at the waffles." "Why does it look like I'm down to you Ben asked back before eating?"
Well a little bit so I thought I'd ask I said as I sat next to him.
I just had a dream last night that I didn't like that's all now eat up before it all gets cold Ben replied
"Or before you eat it all I teased. Ben there is something I need to tell you I sighed."
"Ok what is it I'm sure I can handle whatever you have to say Ben said reassuringly?"
"Grandpa Max wants me and Gwen to do late night patrol in the heart of town tonight I said with frustration in my eyes.
"I'll be fine its direct orders from plumber headquarters Ben said as he hugged me tight.
Yah 8 to midnight I said as I rolled my eyes.
I've managed years of solitude while crushing on you so I can managed 4 hours alone due to my guy working the late night shift Ben said as he stopped hugging me and returned to his food.
Ben's Pov: I was finishing my food and suddenly I get a message 'From Seth' 'Subject want to hang tonight' 'Hi Ben the gang and I are going out tonight we plan on hitting the dance club to end summer off with a bang reply if interested Signed Seth.'
"Benji what's up you seem spacey Kev said shaking my shoulder?
"Seth wants me to come with him and the others out to a dance club I said as I looked at him.
"Really when is it Kevin asked?
"Tonight I replied with a hint of sadness in my voice.
"Then go and have fun it will brighten up your mood Kevin beamed.
"I'll think about it but right now I'm heading out to Harmony Farms I replied after sliding my dishes into the dishwasher.
Once I was outside I got on my bike and took to the open road with my iPod in my pocket and my helmet on so that only I could hear my music. Once I finally reached the farm I parked my bike and soon Alice the farm owner ran out of her house and gave a friendly hello hug.
"Ben it's been a year sense you were last here how are you Alice asked cheerfully?
"I'm good I graduated high school this year, I got myself a boyfriend and living with him at his place I replied.
"Who is it Ben I want details Alice asked interestedly?
"It's Kevin but I thought I should visit the farm on a nice weather day like today I replied. How is Sunstreak I asked?
"He is great and misses you I'm sure Alice smiled. Want to take him for a spin she asked?
"Yes please I squeaked with glee.
"Ok I'll let you and him get reacquainted while I get the gate and track of your choice setup Alice said.
"The contest track please Alice I miss the adrenaline from how fast he can gallop and I miss how high we could jump I asked?
"Of course I'll go get it setup and then I'll open the gate Alice smiled.
"Ok we should be ready by then I smiled back before running to the barn.
Once at the barn door I yank hard on the handle and open the door completely flooding the barn with light. I then walk calmly through till I get to Sunstreak he then lets out a neigh of delight. "I missed you too buddy come on let's get saddled up and hit the track I smiled as I opened his door."
Kevin's Pov: It was 12 and I was at home I was wondering where Harmony Farms is so I called Gwen apparently it's where she and Ben took horse riding lessons and I went with them last year to a yearly annual clam boil when she said that it all clicked back to me so I change into something simple and as I did I asked Gwen to open a mana portal to the farm from my room she accepted and did so. Once at the farm I see Ben's bike it's slightly cold so he has been here for a while.
"Hello Kevin I'm Alice the owner of Harmony Farms it is good to see you again Alice said as she quickly recognized me.
"Hi I remember you and its good seeing you too but where is Benji I asked slightly eager?
"Ben's in the barn getting Sunstreak ready while I get the ring setup for them I'm just about done so they should be heading out any second Alice replied.
As soon as she placed the last of the jumps and rhythm section poles Alice pulls open the gate so I run and hide behind a tree.
Ben's Pov: I heard the familiar creek of metal so I flick the reins and Sunstreak gets into a trot right away out of the barn. As we dart out the first gate I get a mixed feeling I'm slightly bummed that Kevin's late night shift tonight and also the fact that he isn't here but I'm so happy to be able to just ride with Sunstreak for fun. We are soon in the ring and I give the horse a smile he nods and speeds up into a gallop we gracefully yet blazingly fast clear the rhythm section and then dart off to the jumps as we clear one of the jumps I felt like I saw the back of Kevin's head but I'm probably just seeing a black bird so we keep going around the course after 10 runs on the track I stop the horse so we could catch our breath for a minute.
"Done all ready Alice asked me?
"Nope just catching our breath before I tackle the trick portion I smiled.
"Oh ok just thought I'd check just in case Alice smiled back.
"Thanks Alice well I'm good how bout you boy ready to keep going I asked Sunstreak as I ran my hand down his mane.
He let out a proud neigh so I get him walking to the gate and turn him round to the ring and I get him galloping then after we clear a few waves of rings together I decide to talk to him.
"Sun I'm going to hop off and do some backflips you know what to do right I said to the horse.
Sunstreak neighed and I knew he understood so as he continued to gallop I got both of my feet in a side saddle alignment and then sprang off him and did 10 backflips before my boot linked back with his stirrup then swung myself back up and stopping him near the gate.
"Yee Haw that was swell footwork hollered Alice."
"Thanks it was amazing to get back on Sunstreak I smiled. Thanks boy for a great time it was good seeing you now let's go get these riding supplies off yah I said nuzzling my head near his face." I then get back on him and walk him back to the barn but as soon as I enter the barn there sitting on the stall door to the hay bales is Kevin so I right away jump down and tackle him so much so that we fall into the hay bales.
"Your eyes weren't playing tricks before I really was watching your riding you looked so happy Kevin said.
"Oh just shut up all ready I chuckled before kissing him deep and passionately." I wanted to keep my lips locked to Kevin's but a loud neigh snapped me back to my senses and so I get off of my boyfriend and take care of Sunstreak but as soon as i take off the saddle and blanket Kevin slides them out of my arms and brings them in so then I got busy brushing down Sunstreak and even cleaned his feet. After he was cleaned I gave him a sugar coated apple and one final hug before locking up his room. "I'm glad you came but I was going to head back home once I was done here so is there any special reason you decided to come I said to Kevin as we walked out of the barn."
"Not really just missed seeing you light up like a christmas tree. So do you plan on going out with the eagles Kevin stated?"
"Yeah I told you I wasn't going to wait up for you to come home so why shouldn't I get to go see my magic friends and have a late night good time with them I replied.
"Right well I start my patrol at 8 so we got a few hours to spend together is there anything in particular you want to do Kevin said as he held me close.
"Not really what I want to do is the same as it's always been and that is to make you happy I smiled up at him.
"How about we hit the arcade and have dinner Kevin said as he played with my hair.
"Sure that sound good to me I said as we continued to walk back to my bike.
Once we got to the bike Kev said he wanted to drive and for me to just sit back and enjoy the ride so I just slipped back and flipped my visor down concealing my face as music entered my ears. It was 4 and I was head bopping with both my feet to one side as Kevin was driving soon we stopped at a red light and he looked back at me he chuckled at what he saw before turning back around in time for the light to change to green. We soon enough got to the mall once we were inside we took the escalators to the food court and then up an elevator and we stood face to face with Dave&Busters it was wonderful but I left all my fully charged game cards under my pillow.
"Hey Benji you ok Kev asked?
"Of course just really happy that this is where you were talking about but slightly ticked at myself that I left my game cards at home I replied.
"You mean...these game cards Kevin said as he pulled out my cards from his jacket.
"You truly are wonderful lets go have a nice evening out I said hugging him with so much happiness in my eyes.
Kevin's Pov: It was 5 and I was out with Benji but for the strangest reason I felt like there was something Ben was keeping to himself due to the fact that if he told me about it that he would be sour for the rest of the night. As soon as we got to our table he didn't slide in across from me he actually slid up next to me. Once we got our drinks squared away I gave him his game cards and told him to go unwind with a few games he just shook his head and said he wasn't in much of a mood for games.
"Stop lying and go see how many tickets you can win I said as I nudge him.
"What is there to try and win out of there silly prizes I got everything I will need and its sitting next to me."
"Then don't go play for prizes just go play to have fun I said plainly.
"There has been a new dance game installed I guess I'll give that a run and see what happens Ben said as he slid out of the booth with zero care in his expression before he walked off to the games."
I knew he was trying to make the best out it and act like it was nothing but I felt disappointed in myself for not trying to change my mind and just keep him next to me. I will make sure to try harder otherwise he will be hurt and not in the way I want to hurt him was what I thought as I played around with my straw.
"Are you all set to order or do you still need a minute asked our waitress?
"Oh of course I replied before placing in my food.
"Don't worry we here know what Ben orders smiled the waitress before jotting something into her booklet and grabbed the menus before walking away.
I sucked my soda before walking to the games. It wasn't hard to find the game due to the screams of cheer Ben was next so I hid in the crowd and a screen above his head showed a little anime cartoon like version of him and by this point I heard the music fill the room and I was trying not to laugh but I was flashed back to prom when he was dancing on the speaker cube only he looks 100 times happier and relaxed now than he looked at prom. After the song ended his grade flashed onto the screen [A+] so the entire crowd wanted an encore Ben gladly accepted and picked another song. Yet again the room was filled with music and the cartoon was dancing with glee some of the moves I never saw Ben do at prom but the crowd was enjoying it and so was I. Once he finished the screen gave another A+ and the crowd dispersed. As he walked past me I latched onto his arm and hugged him tight.
"What are you doing I thought you were staying at the table till I got back Ben asked?
"I wanted to see this new game and besides I enjoy watching you dance around like a silly head I replied.
"You actually watched it all Ben said surprised.
"Yep now go grab your tickets and let's get back before our food beats us to the table I chuckled.
Once he yanked the tickets out of the machine we walked back to our table his right hand clutched the tickets and his left intertwined with my right.
It was 6 when the food came out I was trying to figure what the heck Ben ordered.
"What you never seen a three cheese macaroni stuffed meatloaf before Ben asked?
"No I haven't and I guess your old appetite is back I said before eating my food.
"Fine so what if I have stopped eating so much I didn't care if I passed out due to not eating during sports so what if I spent all senior year on nothing but smoothies and light homemade lunches I turned out just fine didn't I Ben sniped as he began breaking open the meatloaf.
I was shocked that Ben would go and skip both breakfast and dinner all of senior year that explains why he seemed annoyed walking out of the school a week ago. He then turned on his iPhone and tapped in his passcode then replied to Seth's message. No doubt that he is asking him about what type of tunes are playing He soon gets a reply and just giggles before diving back into his food. After we finish he heads back to the games and I join him he heads to ski ball and swipes his card he sinks all of them in the 100 slot so he goes two more rounds before heading for ZombieDestruction5 plays three rounds of that and then decides to do WheelOfFortune four times. Once he had all the tickets he had earned we took them to the prize ally and Ben asked them to transfer all the ticket points from his other cards into that same card. The screen said he said four thousand three hundred and twenty-one tickets total he just smiled and took his cards back before linking arms with me.
"You're not going to use your ticket points you sure got a large amount I said puzzled?
"Not yet there isn't anything good looking on the shelves that I want Ben replied." "Now get going it's 7 and your shift starts at 8 don't worry about me I'm going to just look in one store before heading home I'll see you in the morning Ben said once we got back to the food court."
I nodded and gave a loving goodnight kiss before we walked our separate ways.
Ben's Pov: Its 7 and clubbing with the gang was in an hour Seth texted me saying they were going to make sure I had a fun time of the floor so I decided I would check out a favorite clothing store of mine to see if they got anything I would wear. As soon as I step in the employees chatting near the register look in my direction Angelica comes up to me and greets me in.
"How have you been Jelly I asked?
"I am doing well Ben your looking well and what bring you in today Angelica smiled.
"Dance club cloths because I'm going clubbing tonight with my friends I replied.
"Well we have built a tri mirror with touch screen functions for our customers use feel free to mix and match in any way you would want Angelica said.
"Thanks jelly I'll come show you the final results I smiled before walking to where she told me.
I finally find the custom mirror I select guys and then late night and finally dance club as my search words. Then I remove the left sleeve and right leg portions except for a small amount of fabric wing shaped wrapping around my right leg. I pick candy apple red fabric for the toga style torso and skin tight black leather pants. The amount of skin showing and the pants should be seductive enough. So once I was finished I hit confirm and the machine got busy starting with my measurements and then crafted my outfit. Soon it stopped and gently placed the finished garment infront of me on a hanging rack. Its perfect Kevin is sure to stare at me in this I smiled wickedly as I held my new outfit up I then go into a changing room and change into them before running out to find Angelica.
"Jelly check me out and tell me what you think I said tapping her shoulder.
"Wow Ben that's super sexy never seen someone with your creativity Angelica said as she looked over my outfit
"Thanks Angelica I'll take them I smiled before running back to the change room and changed back into my normal cloths. Once back in normal cloths I paid for the outfit I made and ported right home. I check the clock 7:30 the gang will head out in the next 5 minutes so I better get changed and meet them at Seth's room. I hustle getting changed and quickly fix my hair and tie my bike boots before opening a portal. I then knocked on Seth's door.
"Wow ugh hi Ben nice outfit Seth said slightly speechless.
"What are we waiting for let's get dancing I smiled.
"Oh right well before we go can I talk to you for a minute Seth stated.
"Oh ok sure go ahead I'm all ears I replied.
"I really like Artur but I'm afraid to tell him Seth said nervously.
"Been there felt that just get him alone and come clean to him if he doesn't have same feelings then you both can stay friends and roommates I assured my friend.
"Thanks Ben now let's go have fun Seth said before we left his room for a final summer night of fun.
