Chapter 29
Ben's Pov: I walked the corridors and finally came face to door with my grandfather's office. I don't even move a muscle as I shake in my legs due to how mixed he is going to be about seeing his grandchild that just a few moments ago rebelled infront of him. I hold my omnitrix up to the badge reader and the door opens I carefully walk in and he doesn't even see me as his back is to me and he is writing something on the whiteboard but as I walk a little more in he then stops and turns round to see me. "Ben this is a bit of a surprise but a good one of course" my grandfather said as he walked up to me. I take a few steps back and look away from him "You're still mad at me I guess" said my grandfather. "No not at you anymore now at myself for how I reacted when we arrived" I uttered still without looking at him. Soon my grandfather put his hand on my shoulder and said that everything's alright and he should have been more understanding to my adjustment to everything he also congratulated me on getting married. "About all that I decided to be gutsy and to wear a dress but that isn't want I wanted to say what I wanted to know is if you can attend it I replied." My grandfather nods and tells me that he will and now it would be best for me to go meet the Science team commander running my assignment I nod and see myself out of his office. As I reach the science sector I show the camera the omnitrix and then the barrier falls and I proceed to find the director of the project I am going to undertake Camilla Swiftshade. Once I have found her door I knock and she walks out to meet me. She had her dark brown hair with fuchsia low light tied as a bun and ponytail combo all with one hair tie. "Ah Ben it's nice to meet you all though we would've met soon enough when the day came" she said as she invited me into her office. I walk in and sit down letting her explain her motives and why I was picked she said it was because my burning love for Kevin and how I've managed to keep it concealed in the past and now how I constantly let it try to shine made me the perfect candidate and when she learned of Kevin's mission she thought it was the best point for her to get her plan started. "With all due respect Ms Swiftshade there is something I would like to bring up dealing with all this" I stated simply I then tell her about Kevin and I planning on getting married and during the time I'm undergoing this research I will be living in a cavern on the beach back home and then I ask her to not tell Kevin the means of opening the caverns inner sanctum until he returns. She nods and congrats me and promises to keep my wish. After talking a little more about the project and how simple and pain free it is she states it will not start till the night I am without Kevin by my side so then I thank her for seeing me sooner then she planned and then see myself out. It's now 6 and as I travel back to Kevin's room my stomach starts rambling at me. I look to my left and see the bases cafeteria so I turn and make my way but as I'm about to go look around someone covers my eyes with their hands I then grab the persons wrists and pry them off me I turn round and see it's Kevin. "Don't do that to me I almost thought someone was trying to kidnap me I could've swung on you I barked at him." He just laughs at me and tells me he was heading here for the same reason as me. I just walk away and start picking things out for me to eat. I wasn't going to let Kevin know why I felt hostile at him so I soon use my plumber credits to pay for my food and drinks then find a table sit down and just eat all without looking back at him. But soon enough he finds me and sits across from me just as I open a bottle of red mountain dew. "Why are you trying to push yourself away from me" Kevin stated as he firmed his brow and slammed his open hands onto the table. "Get a grip on yourself before people start spectating and I refuse to answer that so just shut the fuck up I hissed with gritted teeth before downing half of the soda. Kevin was persistent as always trying to push me till I break and tell him but I'm not going to break under his force not this time I soon finished everything and put the tray away then made my leave for the bedroom I wanted to just unwind from my day and just find something funny to enjoy laughing alone at. "Not sticking round for dessert that's not like you" Kevin stated as he hustled after me. "I'm not in the mood for fattening sweets honestly and besides I have to stay at my current weight so I can fit the dress properly I sighed." I then walk away as I run both my hands through my hair and once I'm back to our room I take all my clothes off and go to take a nice hot shower I'm not pushing myself away I'm just pissed at him for leading me on before I then get into my hot shower and wash up. As I go and put my foot up to the wall so I can wash my leg I start to think of if Kevin didn't go at me because he was afraid of it would cause me pain I shake my head and say to myself that he just wanted to 1-up just like always. Soon I have my back pressed to the wall of the shower and my head hanging in the hot water as I run my shampoo into my hair then I rinse it out completely but as I turn the water off the heat from the shower starts to consume me but I manage to get out in time plop naked on the bed and open my backpacks hidden zipper to reveal a jar of chocolate fudge whipped frosting and peanut butter as I mix it I grab the spoon I brought with me I turn on the TV to see both tomb raider movies are playing back to back and the first one is about to start so I quickly wrap myself in a thin sheet and get comfy for a great film lineup by this time its 8pm.
Kevin's Pov: All evening Ben has been acting weird and I didn't know if it was just his stress levels or if I did something to make him this way but I wasn't going to just sit in the cafeteria and let him deal with it himself I wanted answers. I walk back to our room and hear something playing on the plasma screen and it sounded like an action flick. I walk in to see Benji's cloths and a towel all on the floor making it obvious that he took a hot shower and got out a little before the flick started then I notice him downing overloaded spoonful's of frosting mixed with peanut butter and yet he doesn't notice me he just keeps eating the fattening junk and smiles at the television. I soon slide in next to him he doesn't even turn his head my direction but as I go and try put my arm around him to get his attention he suddenly turns my way only to reach up and grab a giant bottle of soda and drinks right out of the bottle I read it and see it was 2 liters he soon seals it and puts it back. I never saw this movie before but it was actually awesome to say it simply. Ben just kept eating the frosting and paid me absolutely no mind and was absorbed into the film. Eventually I get fed up with it so I grabbed the jar and seal it then I put it in the drawer and shut it. "Dah fuck was that for is that how you get enjoyment by ruining my good mood Ben snapped." "1st off you will get fat from all of this and 2nd I want to know why your ignoring me." "Do I seriously got to get out sheets of paper and do a flip book explaining myself before it actually sinks the fuck into your head I haven't seen these movies in a long time so I was glad to know they still run it on some channels but now you had to go and kill my good mood in that case maybe I will sleep just to leave this world even if for a few hours I am just so done Ben barked and hissed and snarled in my face before wrapping his soft fuzzy blanket over the thin sheet causing them to overlap," "Still doesn't explain the reason your ignoring me is it from before when I overstepped it on the teasing if so then sorry I sighed" "The more I miss you the worse the pain will be for me to bare Ben growled ferociously." I soon slide his form up on top of mine and hug him resting his head on top my chest and he seems to calm down a bit. "So warm and so strong Ben said weakly." "Of course I am strong compared to you I smirked." Ben just glares at me coldly for a quick moment before laying his head back down with his ear on my chest "I meant your heart I can hear the strength of its beat and I can feel the warmth the beat gives Ben replied as he turned off the television. "I thought u were enjoying the movie besides I was enjoying it to I said surprised." "I got both on DVD back at your place the night we watched fifth element the two tomb raider movies were amongst the ones to pour out of my bag and besides being close to you and feeling like this is more enjoyable then a movie I have seen constantly Benji cooed." "I noticed you don't use the nickname you gave me much anymore I said plainly as I run my fingers up and down his cheek." "Sorry Kevvy guess I just don't want too many people to notice it and ask for you by your nickname and you didn't seem like it affected you at all so I just stopped with it Ben replied fallowed by a large yawn." I smile softly and open my arms so he can roll off but he doesn't he stays right where he is and so I wrap my hands back around him and just watch him fall asleep I. look at the bedside clock and it says midnight Ben was right to try and sleep before but as he sleeps now he tries to nudge free so I again lay my arms by my sides and let him roll as I watch him sleep with his ass up in the air he suddenly farts while he dreams. I bite down on my lip to stop me from laughing so loud that it would wake him. But the harder and harder I try the more and more I want to laugh soon enough I calm down and just gently play with a few strands of his hair and as I do he lets another one rip at that point I shove my face into my pillow and laugh so hard that my eyes run. Once I finished laughing I sit like I was before and I see Ben sitting up looking at me puzzled. "What is it did you have a bad dream I asked softly?" "No your loud laughter woke me so what pray tell is so dam funny that you had to laugh so high and mighty about that it wakes me up Ben said in a grouchy manner." "You were farting while you slept I have never seen someone fart with their ass up in the air while asleep I smiled tenderly." "Just be glad I didn't sleep with my head near the foot of the bed and turned over so my ass was facing you Ben said with a sinisterly cold glare before falling back asleep. I thought about what he said and once it was figured out my face was one of shock and disgust and yet while Ben slept I realized something and that something was he was naked in a bed in space with only a loose weight sheet covering him but then I notice he isn't shivering and yet while sleeping next to him in the middle of the night nature calls me. Once that is taken care of I come back to bed to see him shaking as if he was cold and it wasn't the blanket that kept him warm but just knowing I was by his side was what kept him warm enough so I slide back in and rest his head softly on my chest while wrapping my arms around him.
Next morning while prepping for training While I am getting ready Ben rubs his head into my pillows and grips the sheets tight but all the while he is deep asleep *probably acting this way to comfort himself while I'm at practice* I then write him a small note and lay it under the pillows near his other hand he has such a flat expression while sleeping and yet while I'm training I want him to be happy so I grab the jar of frosting out of the drawer smear some on my lips and kiss him tenderly with my hand holding his head up and then laying it back softly before I walk out of the room and as I close the door I see a soft smile on him. All through training I progress quickly and strive for perfect soon Max notices how hard I'm pushing myself and stops me. "Maybe we should take a break and catch our breath you're pushing yourself a bit too hard would Ben be ok with that Max stated." I then agree and just as we walk out I get an incoming group call from all four the eagles I then tell Max I will be out soon. "Hi Kevin are you ok you seem a bit drained Sylvia asked?" "I'm fine I just finished my first practice of power training and I was really pushing myself harder than normal I replied." "How's Ben doing I'm a little worried that he isn't all that well and he is just putting on a best spirits act just so you don't lose focus Seth said worried?" "I left our room early while he still slept but as I walked to the door I saw his mouths expression was flat and emotionless but soon as I gave him a light kiss and layed his head back on my pillows he was smiling so I guess he is ok I replied." "I woke up in the middle of the night last night feeling as if Ben was dreaming but he was trying to force certain strong ones away and focus on being brave infront of you Marla stated." I then keep talking with them then suddenly Seth asks if Benji and I have ever had personal moments in bed at night. "No but yesterday I went a bit far with teasing Benji I admitted." I then tell them what happened and Seth goes ape-shit. "That's not just teasing that's leading him on and to do it like that is just wrong now grant you I understand your reasoning for not advancing on him but you think after all the months you have spent together that you wouldn't be so over cautious maybe that's why Ben is suppressing certain dreams Seth snapped!" "Ok I get it Seth but try to relax before you hurt yourself worse than you are I replied." "Forget it Kevin go and do your mission and marry a boy who will never fully feel true happiness of a relationship especially when they have designed so many naughty photos and imagined so many foul thoughts I'm going to help him with certain weddings details I wanted to know if you felt like the dress should have a train or not and should he have just a few flowers in his hair near his ear or should he have a vale but forget it we will do just fine without the likes of you Seth spat and logged out the entire chat. I then pocket my phone and as I walk out the door I give a sigh of pure sadness and bitch-slap myself for good measure then I go and relax but Max asks what happened so I tell him and he just stares at me coldly before talking sour to me "Seth isn't the one marrying Ben you are and yet all you have done is get the ring you don't even make an effort to tell others what you think should be done and further more Seth is correct Ben is probably pained inside but won't let it show so he can be brave Max ranted." "I won't let what show gramps said a voice." I look up and see Benji he forcefully gives me a weak smile before he sits with us and gnaws on granola mixed with blackberry yogurt and he also eats a raisin bagel that was smeared with cream cheese yet nothing to drink. "Not drinking anything first thing in the morning isn't healthy kiddo said Max." "I know I'm just not thirsty right now is all Ben said with a shrug." After he had eaten everything Ben got up and speed walked away one foot crossing infront of the other till he was a speck in the distance then he round the corner I finished shortly after so I tried to catch up to him but as I turn my head round the corner I see him standing against an empty wall and soon he notices me. "What's up Ben asked?" "I thought I would come check on you before I went back to practice are you ok I replied." "Sure why wouldn't I be best of luck with training I will leave you to it I wouldn't want to be a distraction Benji replied before turning away and walked away but I grab his waist and hold him tight. "Let go or you're going to be late for getting back to practice Ben said." "No besides you want me too right I said firmly." Ben then just shut his mouth and melted into my grasp I then run my hands through the sleeves up to his blades and the entire time he didn't move a muscle or say a word having him like a statue isn't something I enjoy so I remove my hands off him and back step myself but as I get the stomach to leave him he runs right for me and kisses continuously and furiously while pushing me amongst the wall each kiss more furious then the last while he even flung his hands over my shoulders his eyes were viciously hungry for love not regular affection but eventually he came to his senses red as can be and released himself from me then ran away I soon walk back to training and spend a couple more hours in training by the time I get out it's 1 in the afternoon. I head back to my room and see Seth grabbing Ben's wrist and was about to teleport them out of the room but I swiftly grabbed Benji from Seth and hold Benji tight round his waist "Let me go with you instead to pick out the remaining details I said to Benji in hushed tones." "What about you're training Ben asked?" "Day training is done I have late evening training later but right now and at bedtime I'm all yours I said sweetly." Ben just softly lays his head on my shoulder I watch Seth vanish away satisfied with how much of an effort I am trying to make to better help Benji make our wedding plans as we see fit. Ben soon lets himself out of me and lays on top covers with his face away from me. "What's wrong I asked?" "He told me everything I can't believe you don't seem to trust me enough to just pounce at me like do I have to be like a pet dog and beg makes me wonder if your feelings are true Ben hissed softly with a heart wrenching pain mixed in. "If that's the case why did you act so warm to me infront of Seth before I asked?" "To make him feel safe about me staying here with you and he was grabbing my wrist cause he was happy that I made him best man and I wanted him to bring me to see the other eagles to ask if they wanted to have roles in the wedding so you didn't have to react how you did when you walked in Ben sighed." Benji soon slid under the covers and had just his head out but his face was still away from me. "Still tired are you I asked with a smirk?" "Thought I would take a nap before I went out Ben replied softly." I sat on the edge of the bed and watched him nap.
