Chapter 31 Loving from afar Part1
Today marks end of Kevin's two weeks of training and so today was my last day to be with Kevvy before he leaves for his mission I decide to pack my bags now while he is training so I can spend as much time as I can with Kevin. As I pack my costumes away a knock comes from the door. "Who's there I called out slightly caught off guard" "It's your gramps with Ms. Swiftshade came the reply" "it's open see yourselves in I called out." I continue my packing as the door opens "Hi and yes I know why both of you are here I said plainly." My gramps puts his hand onto my shoulder and softly smiles at me for handling this well yet has eyes of sympathy I give a forced smile to him. "I decided seeing as today is the last you both will be side by side that you should enjoy it to the fullest so I cut the morning practice in half and canceled the rest so you and Kevin can spend time together gramps said to me." "Sorry to interrupt this warming moment but Ben I was wondering if you could tell me the way to open your resting place so I can follow through with the task you asked of me Ms. Swiftshade said tenderly." I immediately stop packing and turn to her nodding quickly with a serious look in my eyes at the statement then proceed to show a slide show of the hideout and how to get past the first door and how to open the to my inner chamber. Soon with everything taken care of she leaves and I go with my grandfather to wait in an alcove near the training room Kevin was in. As Kevin comes out I keep a little distance from him noticing me and start to walk on my tip toes as I follow him. Soon I get bored so I decide to be crazy and so I tap his shoulder then quickly jump into a nearby ventilation shaft and crawled it quietly till I was to where his back is now then I carefully jump down and once again tap his shoulder. He soon turned back around and then jumped back a bit so I right away start laughing and soon I'm laughing so hard that my face turns red and I'm crying and even sitting up against a wall. As I get myself together I get a page from gramps I answer it still cackling "I'm glad I went to the control booth and caught all of that on tape Ben we should post this to YouTube oh and I even got your laugh attack scene in it Gramps said" "Yes post it to my account right now I will cya later I replied." "Max before you leave practice went faster and ended in half its normal time any reason as to why Kevin asked quickly?" "Ben can tell you all you want to know now have fun boys gramps replied as he ended the call." "So why did my practice end in half its normal time Kevin asked me?" "Wow nice to see you to ya jerk I quipped bitterly at him." I then turn around and fold my arms and I breathe a sigh as I do Kevin grabs me and pulls me to him and hugged me warmly. "Sorry I just jumped to the point but your right it's nice to see you Kevin said warmly." "Gramps shortened your practice because today is the last we shall be together and see eachother for a while so he also canceled your other trainings so we could spend as much time together as we can I softly smiled up at Kevvy" "but now I'm thinking his idea wasn't a good one at all I replied without any emotion what so ever." "Don't you dare repeat that statement ever again said Kevin gripping me tighter." "No need to hold me so damn tight that I feel shocks in my blades I replied." Once he hears this he loosens his grip on me and he ran his hand through my hair while he kissed me lovingly on the cheek. I start to feel warm and my legs feel like they want to sleep so I just give into my body but when Kev saw this he got worried. "Benji are you ok asked Kevin as he kneeled down to check on me?" "I'm fine my legs just went to sleep is all it's no biggie I replied with flat eyes." He then asked me if I was on my feet as soon as he went to practice so I could get packing done early. I of course said yes he just sat down next to me and draped my legs over his lap. "I will be fine by myself I just need to sit and let my legs relax for a moment you don't have to always worry even though it's warming to know that you care I said softly as I look over to him." "Of course I care come on let me take u back to our room Kev said sweetly." I nod and let him pick me up as he walks he focuses on my face. "What is it you think you will gain from staring at me I said bluntly?" "Oh sorry I didn't mean for it to appear as if I was staring with no reason I just at one point felt happy that we can spend all day together and so I guess I at that point spaced out and had my head in the clouds Kevin replied looking away briefly from how embarrassed he felt for spacing out infront of me." "Oh ok what we're thinking of while you had your head in the clouds I asked?" "Just different things we can do together and enjoy Kevin replied." I then drape my arms over his shoulders and give him a small soft smile. Soon we get to our room but I noticed Kev couldn't open the door with me in his arms so I climbed off of him and opened it then Kev looked at me. "You said you have been on your feet all morning so why aren't you letting me take care of you Kevin said with a serious glare in his eyes." "I have enough willpower to keep me on my feet from the door to the bed I smiled to him." He just messes up my hair before we walked in then once inside he closed the door and placed me on the bed but as he lays my head onto the pillows and gets comfortable next to me my stomach starts to gurgle and then his roars a bit louder followed by him laughing. But as I am about to sit up and put my feet to the floor Kevin pushes me down and tells me to not get up and he will go get us breakfast I just keep quiet and nod soon after he left I felt sleepy very sleepy. As I slumbered I had such wondrous dreams so many happy visions and some of course were naughty but after a while I wondered how I would be if Kevin didn't return my feelings I would probably go to college and try to advance my education into a field of work I would enjoy and then I wondered how I would cope if Kevin didn't come back home would I ever open my heart again would I just become cold and alone forever I then wake up and sit up in a panic and then the door opened and when Kevin saw my face he put the food on our side table and hugged me warmly "It's okay Ben don't worry your safe here Kevin said plainly." "I know I just had a bad dream I replied" "is it the nightmare or is it something different Kevin asked?" "It's a mix of both I replied." I tell him what I saw as he slid into bed he then holds me close to his body and gives a warming smile. After I finished my food I felt Kevin's hands slide free from me so I sit up and look to see he ate all his breakfast and fell asleep. Soon I smelt the scent of fried chicken but I didn't eat any so I looked at Kevin and found out he was the source of the scent it was because he was still sweaty from his training I hoped he hadn't noticed I was watching him and inhaling his scent. Like gosh I would be so embarrassed if Kevin noticed. "Instead of sniffing me like a dog does just lay down and rest with me for a while Kevin stated as he grabbed at my waist." "I'll pass I don't need to rest I got enough sleep already I replied." "You may say that but come on Benji just lay back into my arms you don't have to nap I just want you to relax Kevin said with a grin on his face." "No means no learn it and accept it I said as I looked away." Shortly after I feel my pillow vibrating up against my back so I reach under the pillows and pull out my phone and accept the call without looking at the phone "Who it is and what the heck do you want I said coldly." "Did I wake you or did I just catch you at a bad time buddy came a familiar voice?" "Oh Seth sorry I'm just not in the best of spirits right this minute Kevin's being a clueless scatterbrain right now I said as my eyes and voice softened." "So about the party this year are you coming to celebrate with us we made a special mix of all your favorite tracks Seth asked eagerly?" "I'm not sure maybe but mostly this month I want to just be left in solitude I replied plainly." "Come on how about at least every other Friday before then we all go do something that way you won't lose your smile I know party night is the last day away from Kevin so what better way to enjoy the fact that you will be in his arms again the next morning then coming to the Halloween party Seth smiled." "Fine I'll go to the party text me when you all agree on a theme I replied before ending the call." "Why are you getting off the bed when I'm not done having you close to me Kevin said in a disappointed voice?" I walk to the door before turning my head back to him and say "then come to the flower garden with me." I then here him get out of bed and walk to me he then runs his hand up and down my cheek before he says "let's go later I want us to stay here for a while longer." I breathe out a mixed feeling breath and then lay up against him and then looked at him then I said "okay fine we can go later." After that I walk back in and lay back on the bed staring at the ceiling with my left hand holding up my head from the pillows. "You seem sad now did I do or say something wrong Kevin asked as he slid in beside me and pulled me to him." I'm not really I guess I was just a bit excited to see the flowers that were supposed to bloom open today but at same time I'm glad you told me what you personally wanted to do rather than make plans based upon my emotions I replied softly as I lay my head onto his chest." "You always look cute when you lay back into my grasp Kevin said in a soft purring voice." He then pulled the covers up and placed my head next to his. "Your still a little bit sleepy aren't you I replied with a soft set of giggles." "Just so at ease because when you're in my arms it feels nice Kevin said softly. What was the party you and Seth were talking about earlier Kevin said with a curious face." "A Halloween party he was trying to make me attend I said plainly while I stared up at the ceiling." "I thought you enjoyed Halloween replied Kev as he looked at my face from above." "True I do but I guess I enjoyed it more when you also had a smaller party at your place every year I replied with sealed eyes." "As yummy as you look in tight cloths your onesie does seem a little too tight let me help you get out of it Kevin said as he kissed my forehead." I just shook my head and said that I can do it myself. "True but I want to undress you for once come on Benji please just give in and let me undress you Kev said with such a husky rogue voice" I just lay flat on the bed and turned my head to face the wall before saying "Fine just get it over and done with quickly before I change my mind." I then felt him run his fingers down my cheek and kissed it softly before unzipping my footie pj's and slipping me into a pair of sweat-shorts and fuzzy socks. "Come on I just remembered I wanted to meet the woman behind the project you're in then after that we can go the garden Kevin said warmly." I just quietly nod and fallow him out the room and then as we walk side by side he holds his hand out to me I hesitate before loosely taking it into mine and refused to look his way. Soon we reached the door of Ms. Swiftshade and I knocked on the door shortly after she opens open and see's us in. "Hello Ben did you come with questions and concerns about tonight she asked me warmly?" "No ma'am Kevin had a question for you I was here to guide him now if you'll excuse me I will take my leave and head to the flower garden I said softly with eyes half dropped and away from Kevin's face before slipping out of the office."
Kevin's Pov: I was now alone with Benji's project director and he left without looking at me with any expression. "Nice to meet you Ms. Swiftshade I said calmly." "No need for formal introductions Kevin please don't be afraid to call me Camilla was her reply." "As Ben said I have a few simple questions for you I stated plainly." I asked her my questions and waited for her response. "alright I guess we could find a way to track Benjamin 24/7 but it can only be done if we had something belonging to him we could install the tracking software into, as for the flower garden a new special chrysanthemum is supposed to bloom today it's one of a kind it's called the tri-melon and there is another flower that is also to bloom today requested to be made by Benjamin the day you both arrived and asked it to be ready for your departure but I can't say anything more than that she replied." "I guess he wanted to see this new chrysanthemum and when I stopped him in his tracks he figured the only way he would get to see it was if I joined him I replied softly looking away." I then thanked Camilla for her time and as I made to leave her office she said to me *make these last moments together truly matter.* I nod and she also tells me how to get to the indoor garden from her office. Once at the garden I don't see Benji anywhere but I can't seem to find him because the garden is so big and full of so many types of flowers I never knew existed. I then ask one of the researchers in the garden where I could find the new tri-melon flower they told me that they are in the next bio-dome of the garden and to ask in there for directions to the flower. I then walked the path into the next bio-dome and again asked for directions to the tri-melon flower the staff in this dome told me to go to the tulips then turn right and find the fire roses and turn left after that patch and I would be at the doors to the chrysanthemum room. I followed the path and saw a big door infront of me and then I pressed my badge up against it and the door opened. Once inside I look all the way down and to the furthest right hand side patch and I see buds on stems so I start to walk over and once at the patch there he is just humming away watching the buds waiting for them to open. "What's so special about watching the first bloom of a flower I said as I lay my hands onto his shoulders?" Benji stops humming and jumps to his feet in complete shock. "Godammit that was not cool he said with a glare on his face." I just chuckle and sit down and sit him between my legs kissing him softly on his cheek and soon enough he melts into my grasp. "The first bloom of any flower is a pretty sight to see but this one is special because this flower is only made here in the plumbers headquarters garden nobody on any planet in any system knows how to make them and it's also rare because it is based on the colors of fruits Ben said softly with warm eyes looking up at me." "Anything you feel like doing today just say so I smiled as I ran my fingers through his hair." "We have yet to try on your suit but its fine we can do it when you come home Ben says calmly." "I wonder what they will pick as the theme for the Halloween party I smiled as I Iooked at my loving Benji." "I have no idea I just hope it's not superheroes Ben replied before laying his head near the corner of my neck." "Why say that I'm sure you would look great in tights and a cape I said with a smirk." "If it does end up being superheroes I won't need to go in a costume most people consider me a hero and not to toot my own horn or anything but I do have a super personality Ben replied warmly." I then laugh till my sides ache. "Looks like they don't plan on blooming any time soon sorry to make you join me. I'm going back to our room and just doodle or watch something Benji said with a sigh and his eyes cast away from me before getting up." All I see after that is my Benji walk away hugging himself he doesn't once look back at me I just shake my head knowing he was so hyped to experience the opening of this flower but after just hanging around it with no luck of seeing the bloom he just gives up I get up and head for him soon as I get of the garden I turn and see him with his foot against the wall and his head looking up and typing away on his phone. I looked and saw he was in a text conversation with Seth about something all I saw before he put in his headphones in and put it in his pocket was *even if the tri-melon isn't going to bloom I at least hope the special gift flower will bloom in time* Ben then just walked away calmly with a slight swing in his hips while his feet crossed eachother one foot infront of the other as he walked he reached into his other pocket and what I saw was a small notepad with a pen so I fallowed him because I wanted to be with my Benji.
