In for a suprise

After 14 years, Ash finally became a pokemon master (well sort of) Ash caught 117 pokemon. Ash could not believe his journey was finally over. now at age 24. It had been a long road for Ash, but finally made his dream come true.
On the way to Pallet town, Ash and Pikachu were heading towards Pallet town.
Ash: I can't wait till we get home, Mom and professor Oak will be so happy to see us.
Pikachu: pika pika!
Ash: we better hurry bud, the sun in starting to go down.
Pikachu: pika!
Ash and Pikachu finally made it to Pallet town after a 15 min walk. Ash and Pikachu were standing on a hill not very far from Pallet town.
Ash: its good to be back home, right Pikachu?
Pikachu: pikachu!
just then a man apeared right in front of Ash and Pikachu. The man wore a black jacket and blue jeans, his hair was was black and had a little bit of grey, and he looked almost like Ash, but a little bit older.
?: Is your name Ash?
Ash: yes, and who are you?
?: you mean don't remember me after all these years?
Ash: no.
?: Ash, I'm your father.
Ash: What? your my dad? (Ash was shocked, and so was Pikachu)
Roy: yes I'm your father, I'm Roy Ketchum, but you can call me dad.
Ash: where have you been this whole time?, I have not seen you since I was 7 years old.
Roy: I worked at a lab in Lavender town, I was working every day, and I had barely had time to spare. I tried to come visit you, but I was always busy at the lab.
Ash: wow, I didn't know you worked so hard at the lab.
Roy: I did, but I quit 1 year ago, and decided to spend more time with my family, then at the lab. I'm very sorry son, that I did not spend a lot of time with you. I love you very much.
Ash had tears coming out of eyes, he went over to his dad and gave him a big hug.
Ash: I love you too dad, I'm just glad your finally home.
Roy: me too son.
Ash soon let go of his dad, and asked him a question.
Ash: dad I got a question to ask you?
Roy: what it is?
Ash: how come mom never told me you working at the lab?
Roy: your mother knew I was working at lab, she was afraid to tell you about it.
Ash: thats odd, oh by the way dad, I want you to meet my pikachu, he's been with me since the day I started my journey.
Roy looked at the Pikachu who was standing right next to Ash.
Roy: wow thats a cool pokemon, you got there son. my first pokemon was a Geodude, but its now a graveler.
Ash: can I see it?
Roy: you will, but lets get home, your mother must getting worried about you.
Ash: ok.
Ash, Pikachu, and Ash's dad walked towards home.
