Hi my dearest readers! I'm finally back.
I know it has been almost two and a half years since I've updated my stories. Well, if it was up to me, I wouldn't have taken so long to update. The truth is, I've been suffering from a disease called Steven Johnson Syndrome. As a result, I've lost almost all of my vision. So it has been a very difficult time for me. I know that a simple sorry will not be enough. Many of you may be disappointed or even angry at me for not updating in so long. But my health will always come before anything.
Alright, putting aside my life dealings, let's talk about the future of my two stories.
First, I apologize to all my readers for the lakh of activity on my part. Due to the above mentioned reasons, I have not been active on the internet at all. I'm a bit ashamed to admit it, but I almost forgot about this wonderful site and my great readers. I am just getting into the swing of things again. So here's what will happen with my stories:
Luke's Pokémon Adventure: Kanto
I'm sorry to say it, but this story is officially discontinued. When I read this story after all this time, I feel appalled with it. It's a wonder that anyone even liked it a bit. Also, I am out of ideas for it. An absence of two years will do that to a person.
The Weather Trio: The Legend Repeats
Well, on this front, I have both good news and bad news. Let's get the bad news out of the way – I will not be updating this story any further as well. I know, I know, before you start cursing me or trying to kill me (shudders in fear), read the good news first.
The good news is that… It will not be abandoned.
Confusing, isn't it? You may be wondering, "But you just said that you won't be updating this story!" Yes, it's true. But I'm going to rewrite this story and post it as a new one. The reasons that led to this decision are:
This story is more popular than my other story. And I admit that I myself like it better than my first one.
I just read the reviews it got over the years and to say that it gave me a warm feeling would be an understatement. It truly made my day. I thank each and every one of my reviewers that gave such a positive feedback. It made me think, "Now, how can I disappoint all of these people?" Yes, you all are the main reason that this story is going to be continued.
But why the rewrite? I think I can further improve this story. Also the new generation 6 opens many new doors for exploration.
The rewrite will have a plot change. Don't worry, the main plot will remain the same but I'm going to change a few things. I'm not the clueless and naïve writer who only knew the basics of Pokémon anymore. You'll not know most of the changes as the story hadn't reached the parts that'll get a change.
Moreover, I think all of you deserve a prize for all that you've done. I will let a few things relating to the story be decided by you! So please tell me your opinion on the following changes I'm considering:
The title of the story: I'm considering a new title for the rewrite. The ones that I have in mind are "Rise of the Super-Ancient Pokémon", and "Clash of the Planet Gods". Please tell me which one do you like more. And if you have a better suggestion, feel free to mention it in a review.
Brock and Misty knowing about Legendary Pokémon: Do you want Brock and Misty to know about the legendary Pokémon that Ash has beforehand? Or would you prefer that they be kept in the dark? Speaking of legendary pokémon, I also think that the ones that Ash has in his team could be changed as well. It's not certain that I'll change them, but it's something for you to think about.
Incorporation of later generations: Do you want to see the features from later generations such as fairy type, mega evolution, moves and abilities in the new rewrite? Or should I stay with the ones which were introduced at the time of the Johto season of anime.
Don't hesitate to give your opinion on any matter. Remember that the final decision will be mine but all of your suggestions will be taken into consideration. The faster your responses, the faster I'll write the new story and upload it for you.
