"What the fuck do you think you're doing?! He's five years old! He shouldn't be toss outside like trash!" Tsuna idly ignored the green gun pointed at his head.

"Mafia Bosses are above such language." A bullet was shot, making Tsuna duck in order to avoid imminent death, as he was sure that wasn't a Dying Will bullet. "You have a lot of guts standing up to me, Dame-Tsuna." Black, beady eyes scanned the scrawny boy; Tsuna wondered what tortures Reborn had planned for later.

Sighing, the brunet rubbed his eyes in annoyance before continuing, "Why did you feel it acceptable to throw a five-year-old out a window?"

"Lambo Bovino, of the Bovino Familiga. I don't associate with those of lower rank." Irritation set in Tsuna's stomach, rising to his chest at the implications of Reborn's words. The brunet found it a bit rich that the mafia had a pecking order for criminals. Thankfully, his sarcastic tongue seemed to be taking a break today, as he simply snorted and decidedly ignored Reborn.

The next day would promise pain for his 'insolence' but Tsuna felt that seeing Reborn irritated, even slightly, was worth it.

"Sasagawa-san, I have no intention of joining the boxing club."

Let it be known that Tsuna did do great things once in awhile.

While he was never particularly close with either sibling, Tsuna still held a certain fondness for Kyoko. He didn't have a crush on her anymore, not even close, but her attitude reminded him of his mother to an astonishing degree. This included the obliviousness that seemed to land them in trouble with men, his 'father' included.

That is to say, Kyoko had landed herself with a terrible boyfriend. Mochida, while captain of the kendo club, seemed to have a rotten personality and an ego that needed trimming. Tsuna knew this, unlike the rest of the school, as did Ryohei Sasagawa. It was only a few hours ago when Tsuna had chosen to help clean the classroom after school, since Takeshi had to leave early for baseball practice. Thankfully, Gokudera was missing (refilling his explosives), so there was no one to complain about him cleaning. Kyoko just happened to be on duty as well, since he didn't particularly like anyone else in the area, he struck up a conversation.

. . . .Actually that was a lie. If Tsuna were honest, he would say it was because his intuition was tickling him about something for a very long time. So, he asked what his instincts clearly wanted to ask Kyoko Sasagawa after a few pieces of small talk.

"So, how's your boyfriend?"

She flinched. Oooooooh she did, but Tsuna pretended he didn't see. Instead he kept beating the eraser in his hand to try and clear some of the chalk dust attached to it's felt.

"He's fine." Kyoko said with a strained smile. It was a smile that Tsuna was all too familiar with himself. A scene flashed in his mind of his mother, hunched over slightly with tear-stained eyes from another fruitless plea for his father to come home.

Yeah, he knew that look pretty well.

Instead of calling her on it, Tsuna simply 'hm'ed and left it at that. His mind raced at the possibilities of what was really going on. Though Mochida was a bully, Tsuna highly doubted that he would hit his own girlfriend. His intuition was also hinting that the boy was much too young to accomplish or even think about rape, especially with the thought of a certain boxer who would beat the boy bloody if that happened. Which meant only one other possibility.

Emotional abuse.

Probably more along the lines of name-calling, or victim-blaming, then something so extreme. It was also highly possible that this wasn't entirely intentional on Mochida's part. Probably some knee-jerk reaction while being jealous or treating Kyoko more like an ornament than a person. Also, children tended to be a crueler with words than intended. Tsuna knew this well, had lived it with tauntings and occasional beatings. He also knew the damage it caused, even if society as a whole did not.

"Are you sure?" The words left his mouth before he could stop himself. Kyoko nodded, but reached out her hand to squeeze his shoulder as a small thanks. Tsuna decided to leave it at that, it wasn't like the girl was helpless.

Too bad he didn't see one of Mochida's flunkies witness this moment.

Tsuna hated standing out. Dame-Tsuna, while a mocking name, had ensured that no one really wanted to bother with the little brunet more than necessary. "DAME-TSUNA!" It was this yell of seemingly righteous indignation that gave Tsuna the impression that he wasn't going to leave the school in peace.

Turning to his fate, Tsuna gave a heavy sigh as he saw the annoyance of his day. Mochida. Tilting his head to the side, the brunet wondered if it was worth it to run away. He could skip school and wait a few- Ah, that's right, Reborn would make him come to school anyway so he couldn't wait for things to cool down. Might as well get this over with.

"Is something wrong, Mochida-sempai?" Tiredness seeped into his throat as he saw the fury in the elder's eyes.

Sporting an ugly sneer, the towering Kendo player spoke up, "I hear you've been flirting with my girlfriend, Dame-Tsuna."

"This is news to me."

"As such, I must defend her honor!"

"I don't think she needs it, considering I wasn't flirting with her."

"I challenge you, Dame-Tsuna!"

"Do you have cotton in your ears?"

"Meet me at the dojo in ten minutes!"

"Dear god, he's delusional."

"You better not chicken-out!"

"You should get your head looked at."

"The winner gets Kyoko-chan!"

"I'm not really interested in having a girlfriend, besides she's not an object you can just give away."

Mochida had completely ignored what he was saying in favor of turning around very dramatically with clenched fists. Tsuna wondered what it was that gave the boy that he had been flirting with Kyoko. Anyone in that classroom with half a brain could see that he had just been making small talk. Barely three sentences were said between them!

Looking over at the small crowd that Mochida had weaved through, he pinpointed a boy that looked like he had been dropped on his head as a child, repeatedly. Deciding that this was the culprit, his intuition gave him a hand, Tsuna pointedly glared at the older student before promptly tripping him over as he went by.

It was thanks to him that he was in this mess, after all.

Looking at the provided armor, Tsuna immediately declined it.

His strengths were in his speed and that thing would only slow him down. Looking at the other things provided, Tsuna wisely never took any of them and simply got his own wooden sword out of the storage before returning to face Mochida. He didn't trust the bastard as far as he could through him.

"Are you ready Dame-Tsuna?!" The brash boy said, getting into his stanch.

Humming in consideration, the brunet took one last look around the room. "Almost, change the referee."

The boy paused before sneering all over again, "What should I?! You trying to cheat?!"

Tsuna scoffed, before shaking his head at the sheer stupidity. The crowd was murmuring amongst themselves like the sheep they were, leaving Tsuna to explain his reasons. "Hardly, if I was I would have suggested a referee. I was thinking it would be more appropriate if Sasagawa-san refereed this match, considering she's the one who apparently is at stake here."

It was a wonder that the older student didn't explode, his face was so red. Tsuna caught Kyoko's eyes and motioned her with his head gently, "If you don't want to, you don't have to Sasagawa-san. I just thought you deserved to be part of this."

Kyoko's eyes flashed before nodding resolutely. Tsuna smirked a little as she came forward, taking the flags from the referee.

Mochida looked ready to burst, but didn't say anything. Instead, he started the fight, giving Tsuna only a little time to bring his wooden sword up to parry. Using one hand, Tsuna instinctively tried to catch Mochida's sword with his own.

Adrenaline rushed in Tsuna's veins as he analyzed his opponent. Something pulsed in his feet and hands as he pushed on the weak points of Mochida's grip on his sword. Blinking, Tsuna waited with baited breath as he watched the older student. A ghostly image was overshadowing his opponent's figure. A warm, but stern voice filled his head as he danced around the wooden sword coming at him.

"Considering your age and size, it's unlikely that you'll ever be able to overpower someone in strength. Speed, endurance, and luck will be your weapons. If you can't run, dodge. If you can't dodge, endure, and pray that your luck will come for you."

Blinking, Tsuna willed away the strange phantom and instead gripped his sword with both hands, putting all of his strength into knocking away Mochida's sword.

"Of course, that also means you need to be able to know what your opponent is going to do. Body movements are very important, remember this."

Tsuna watched as the wooden sword fell from his hands, the brunet used this opportunity to point his own at Mochida's exposed neck. It worked. Dead silence had filled the dojo, Kyoko herself was in slight shock and awe at the sight, even as she slowly raised a flag in Tsuna's favor.

Slowly, so that Mochida got the point, Tsuna lowered his sword before throwing it to the side. He took off his jacket and rolled up his uniform sleeves to his elbows to try and relieve some of the sweat that was building on his skin. It had been awhile since he exercised to that extent and he was feeling it in his protesting muscles.

"Mochida-sempai." He got the attention of his stunned upperclassmen, "Sasagawa Kyoko is not an object. Considering who she is to the school body, she chooses who she dates, not the other way around. Perhaps you should appreciate her more." Folding his jacket uniform over his bag before slinging it over his shoulder, he turned to boy to Kyoko. "Sasagawa-san, I apologize for putting you in that awkward position, but I must head home, goodbye."

Turning around to leave, Tsuna got all but three steps before he ran into someone. "Sorr-" He started to say before he say exactly who he ran into. Paling a bit, Tsuna ducked to the side as tonfas came flying at his head.

"Herbivores, for crowding, I will bite you to death." With that, Hibari Kyoya leaped into creating a massacre. Tsuna was lucky enough to crawl away relatively unharmed.

That whole spectacle lead him to this situation. Instead of Kyoko, however, it was her brother Ryohei who was the source of the problem.

"You were EXTREME in that match against Mochida! Please join the boxing club, to the EXTREME!" Tsuna wondered if he would ever get rid of this seemingly-permanent headache.
