Hi my lovely readers, I hope that you are well. I know that it has been quite some time since I had last updated this little fic, and I wanted to apologize to you for taking so long to publish another installment.

From the summer of 2013 until December of 2014 my mother was battling stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. As her eldest child I took it upon myself to take care of her and I left behind college and work and hobbies to do so. Her battle with cancer changed her and it changed me in ways that I never thought possible. The cancer was stronger than the chemo, in the end, and I had to say goodbye to my mom at the beginning of December last year. Her passing took every ounce of life and happiness out of me because she was the most important person in my life, and after losing her, I did not know which way was up anymore.

It has been over a year now since she has been gone, and I'm slowly starting to return to my old self, but it has taken so much time for this to occur. I will let you all know now that I do not wish to abandon this story like what happened with another one of my stories. My mom was always so supportive of my writing when I told her about this place. She thought it was incredible that there were so many different types of people from around the world reading my works, though they were but a shadow of the original story lines. It is because of that love and support that she gave to me that I am writing to you now.

I will do my absolute best to finish this story, you have my word. I wanted to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support and your feedback. In truth, your reviews that would come to my email have helped encourage me through this dark time. Think of them like little fireflies of light in the darkness.

Please stay tuned for an update in the near future. The spring semester is starting up on Monday, and I shall be busy with that, but the more I do things that I used to do before my mother's illness, I think the stronger I will be.
