Ok...I officially suck! I'm so sorry it's been a huge gap between updates-I swear I have valid excuses (moving, death, craziness!) Unfortunately one is my laziness! I know I've promised this before but I'm settled into my new place and job and life so the updates will be much more frequent now I swear!

Loving reviews-thanks for all the kind words and support-means the world to me!

Here's the big date! R&R please!

Castiel barely registered the trip home, probably not the safest thing, he pondered while locking up his car in the parking lot. All sensible thoughts had unceremoniously been left at Singer's Auto Body.

Bobby, yelling at Dean that he didn't pay him to suck on some guys face, had cut Cas and Dean's moment short. Dean had sheepishly asked Cas on an official date for that night before giving him a sweet kiss goodbye. Castiel was once more frantically dialing Charlie's number. After the third ring, Charlie's voice came through the phone, "Yello?!"

"Charlie! I need your help!"

"Cassie? What's wrong? What happened?"

"I don't know what to do, and nothing fits right and he's going to think I'm and idiot and please come over!"

Charlie noted that all of that was said in one breath and that Castiel was clearly on the path towards hyperventilation. "Ok Castiel calm down!" Suddenly his sentence clicked, and she was barely able to hide the chuckle in her voice, "Are you telling me you don't know what to wear?"

"Shut up Charlene! This is serious! Can you please just come over!?"

Charlie's laughter finally abated long enough to agree to Castiel's pleas. She arrived at Castiel's dorm to mumbled swearing from his room. Letting herself in, she headed towards the stream of expletives emanating from the back.

"Shit! That doesn't work! Dammit!"

Charlie ducked as a wad of clothing came flying out the door. Carefully she peeked into the bedroom to see a frazzled Castiel.

"Aw bless your heart." Castiel jerked his head and locked eyes at her comment.

"Charlie…I don't know what to wear…why am I such an idiot!" Charlie watched as Castiel threw himself down onto the clothes ridden bed in defeat.

"Castiel what's really going on?" She joined him on the bed, laying her hand on his slumped shoulders.

"The last date I went on was with Balthazar…what if Dean turns out to be just like him?"

"Sweetie, first off Dean has little to nothing in common with Balthazar, a blind man could tell that much. And secondly, why would you risk losing out on a chance with this guy because of how that Euro-twat treated you."

Castiel giggled, "Really Charlie? 'Euro-twat?'"

"Well it's fairly accurate! Dean seems cool, now where that dark blue button up, your dark skinny jeans that make your ass look slappable, and ditch the glasses so he can gaze into your eyes all dreamy and shit. There the Queen saves the day once more!"

Castiel chuckled forlornly but heeded Charlie's advice with the outfit. I doubt Dean is having this much trouble.

"Fuck! Bitch! God Dammit!"

"Dean seriously calm down!"

"Jo! What the hell am I supposed to do? He's so perfect and I've already fucked this up once! What if…" Dean was cut off by a sharp slap to the face. "What the fuck Jo!"

"Well…" Jo shrugged before pushing him down to sit on the bed. Standing in front of him she looked him in the eyes, "Dean Winchester you are the most caring, loving, albeit stubborn man I have ever met. You like this guy and he likes you and all you need to do is put on this shirt and those jeans and be the guy I know you are. No bravado, no façades necessary. You deserve to be happy Dean."

Dean looked down at his hands, clasped in his lap, a slight blush appearing on his cheeks. "Geez Jo, didn't know you cared." For that comment he received another slap, although this one didn't quite have the sting behind it.

"Don't get cocky with me Winchester, save it for your date!" Jo danced away from Dean's push laughing. "Alright you look very pretty so go get that boy and sweep him off his damn feet!"

Castiel was pacing his bedroom when his cell phone buzzed on the bed. Quickly snatching up his device, Castiel saw Dean's name appear on his screen with a text. Trying his best to be casual and nonchalant, he rushed towards the door. Racing across the lobby he made his way to the parking lot adjacent to the dorms. And there in all his glory, was Dean Winchester, leaning against the hood of that black beast of a car. Castiel would have been ashamed to admit that his heart just might have skipped a beat at the very sight of Dean. Luckily his desire to see this through outweighed the sheer terror of this first date, and Castiel had promptly joined Dean in front of the Impala.

"Hello Dean."

"Heya Cas" Dean stood upright, reaching for Cas's waist. After securing his hold, Dean brought Cas's body to his and placed a chaste kiss on his lips. It never ceased to amaze Castiel that every time their lips met, his mind went spectacularly blank. Dean pulled away with Cas chasing after the kiss for more.

Dean chuckled, "C'mon blue eyes, if I get to kiss you anymore right now we'll never make it out of this parking lot." Dean took his hand and led Cas to the passenger side. After settling him in and shutting the door, Cas waited for Dean to make his way around the car. Cas knew he was smiling a little too widely, but for some reason he just couldn't seem to stop. As Dean slid in, their eyes met and Cas couldn't help but notice the crinkling around those emerald eyes when their owner was beaming.

Breaking their gaze, Cas asked, "So Winchester, where are we heading on this very fine evening?"

Catching the tinge of sarcasm in Cas's voice, Dean only chuckled softly. "Don't worry your pretty little head Castiel, just leave it to me."
