I'm not dead yay! And no I did not discontinue my story either, yay. I do apologize for me not being able to upload, I know I say that a lot but so much has happened. But I did say that I'm going to finish this story and gosh darn it I am going to complete it! So here's a treat chapter 19 and then you get to read chapter 20 next. I do NOT own Dance Central, Harmonix, or you! Enjoy!

The group stared at the two of you as it was dead silent, Derreck finally came to you, putting his hand on your shoulder. You didn't mind it though because your main attention was on the brunette as she had nothing to say, of course she didn't have anything to say. She knew she messed up. She knew she was caught red handed. She lied on such a touchy topic, and who knows what else she lied about. "I'm going to ask again, Emilia, when were you going to tell me?" You said in a harsh tone. The brunette back up dancer, decided to signal for the crowd to leave, so you and Emilia could talk it out. Reluctantly, Bodie let go of the female dancer and started to walk with the group to the lifeguard tower. Emilia stared at you, she would open her mouth but would quickly close it, finally after a few minutes she managed to croak out, "H-how did you find out?"

You glared at her for a few more seconds, soon to respond, "A co-worker of mine is a big fan of Rip-Tide, she even got a cool poster of you and B. You looked good in your photo." You hissed at the last sentence. She hung her head low, "Why didn't you tell me sooner? I wouldn't be this mad if you told me years ago, plus added stuff to the lie that made this situation a lot worse." Emilia looked at the ground for a few more minutes stunned, not knowing how to respond. You were starting to get irritated, for someone who had a big mouth she was pretty silent. And it pissed you off. Finally, you kicked the sand at her as your blood boiled, "Answer me! Dammit Emilia answer me! Tell me the truth! I'm tired of crying because my suppose 'best friend' lied to me about a touchy subject. I'm tired!" Still no response, "Fine, if you don't want to tell me anything then don't talk to me for now on. I'm done."

You stormed off to the life guard tower to see the group stare at you, soon you saw Derreck walk up pulling you into a hug. You hug him back to mumble, "Please take me home." He nodded and started to walk with you down to the station. Everything started to hurt, the pain you felt was the same pain you felt when you first found out about Emilia plus Greg. Your mind started to fog up, everything was just falling apart. Anything bad that could happen, was happening.

Emilia sat there stunned, staring mindlessly at the warm tan sand. She felt numb, yes, numb because the pain she felt was unbearable. She knew that this could come back and slap her in the face, and yet she kept it a secret hoping to never tell (F/n). Sadly, in the end, she found out and Emilia couldn't even explain it to her as to why she had done it. Why? Why did she lie? She knew that (F/n) wouldn't approve but she still would've let her dance. She was that type of person that let you live your life, and do things that even if it bothered her.

"Yo, Emilia? Are you okay?" Bodie quietly said, slowly walking up to her. He figured out the situation, he knew (F/n) for a couple of years now, and he knew that Emilia was lying to her on a touchy topic. From the moment he saw her in the crowd while they were having the dance off, he knew that there was going to be some trouble. "She...She found out...Why? Why did she have to find out? Why did she have to see me like this?" She mumbled to herself. The blonde sighed kneeling down beside her, slowly rubbing her back in big circles. He hated seeing her like this, it crushed him. To see someone who is so strong, crumble down to absolutely nothing, because of her own stupid mistake. "It's okay Em. Just calm down okay?" She shook her head harshly as tears streamed down her face. She had to fix this, she had to! She had to find (F/n), and explain everything to her. Everything.

"Do...Do you know where she went?"

"I saw her leave with Derreck."

She looked up at him confused, "Derreck? How does she know Derreck?"

"I don't know, she came with him, and he took her back to the station. They seem kind of close."

"What do you mean 'they seem close', (F/n) doesn't have a lot of friends."

"I don't know, you might want to ask Mo and them. They may know, but before they left Derreck and her exchanged hugs."

Emilia raised an eyebrow in pure confusion, there was no way. Emilia was her (your) only friend, and she knew it. First of all, when did she meet Derreck? They have nothing in common, and it's not like they ran into each other and then suddenly became friends. No, way. She knew you way too well, she knew that you wouldn't try to talk to him at all. Something didn't seem right, she even knows that pop 'n lock wasn't your style of dance. So, why on Earth is she hanging with Derreck?

"I have to find her, I have to fix this."

"I wouldn't do that, she seemed really upset. Just let her calm down."

"Well, who else is going to cry to. I totally doubt that Derreck can help her, he's as useless as-"

"Emilia calm down, I think Derreck knows how to take care of her. He seemed like he knew how to handle the situation."

"Why?! How?!"

"I don't know, that's why I'm saying that you may need to talk to Mo about it."

The brunette quickly stood up, wiping the tears from her eyes, storming to the bright colored crew. Mo looked concerned as she stood to him, face to face. "What's up shawty? You okay?" He asked calmly. She looked at the three dancers, Mo, Glitch, and Zion and noticed that Derreck was in fact missing. "Where is Derreck? Where did he take her?" She asked staring at him with a blank face. "I think he took her to the train station, I don't exactly know where, but I knew they were heading there." He responded to her. Emilia bit down on her lip, that wasn't an answer she was looking for. She wanted to know the exact location, the exact place as to where they were going, and yet they didn't have an answer. "Mo, let me ask you this," He stared at her with his brown eyes, "How long do you think those two have known each other? Do you, think that maybe there is something going on between them?"

Mo scratched the back of his head sighing, he didn't the answer to any of this. Shoot, he shouldn't have to be put in this situation, he closed his eyes before saying, "Em, to be fairly honest I have no clue, I don't know how or where they met. We just met her today, Derreck was introducing her to everybody. For the second question, I doubt it. Derreck seemed more like a protective brother to her than anything, I know how he is with a girlfriend, and I can tell there's nothing going on between them."

Emilia sighed in relief but she still felt uneasy, the situation just didn't sit right. But she knew that she couldn't get mad at the boys, just like Mo said, they just met her today. If there's anybody that she needed to talk to, it was Derreck himself. So, she had a set mission in her head: Talk to Derreck and figure out what the hell is going on, and then talk to (F/n) to fix everything. "All right. Thanks Mo, I'll see you guys around." Emilia said before walking away. She needs to find that brunette back up dancer, now!

The ride in the subway wasn't all that bad, to be fairly honest you weren't upset anymore, you felt relieved. As if a weight just came off of your shoulder, you looked to Derreck. "Hey Derreck?" He looked at you with concerning eyes. You give him a bright reassuring smile, and pat him on his shoulder. "Let's go and get lunch. I heard that new wing place, has some bomb french fries." He laughed at your suggestion, but quickly nodding happy to be invited.

You two walk to restaurant keeping the atmosphere nice and light, you laughed and made funny jokes. Watching the game that was going on, cheering, arguing, debating, just having a good time, as if nothing happened an hour ago. Derreck noticed that you were just in a cheery mood but just didn't want to ruin it, like how he normally does. "You know it's really funny." He raised an eyebrow and looked at you, sipping his sweet tea. "I don't feel angry, or sad anymore. I noticed it on the bus ride here, at first I was boiling, then I wanted to cry for years. Now, I feel like I got rid of a problem, and I can see a brighter day. I honestly don't know why, do you know? And be honest."

He chuckled before putting his drink down sitting back in his chair, "You wanna know what I think? I think it's because you're making more friends, and that you're no longer relying on just one person to save you. And that losing one person isn't going to hold you back, knowing that you have three more waiting for you. Also, you're getting out of your shell, you're no longer relying on music to help you. But that's what I think, so it's nothing important." You smile at the comment. He was right, you were breaking this comfort zone and meeting more people, you may be revealing too much when you first meet them but what the heck. You were beginning to feel happier, with your three friends. Three? Yeah, three, Derreck, Oblio, and Kerith.

"Oh yeah, I've been meaning to ask you this?"

"Shoot." He said

"Why are making the friendship between you and Kerith a secret?"

"Well, it's a long story. So you may want to sit back for this."

You nodded before taking another bite of your french fry, "As you already know Kerith is a part of a crew called Glitterati. They're just as popular as the rest of the famous crews, such as Rip-Tide, Hi-Def, Lu$h, Flash4ward, etc. They're also known as the richest snobbiest crew, more than Miss Aubrey, which is quite scary. Anyway they may not look like it, but they are also phenomenal dancers, they may dress differently but they can easily kick our butts. Because of that they are super cocky, especially Jaryn. Well one day, in our high school years, I ran into Kerith with my skateboard. I totally thought that he was going kill me, but he was actually really kind. He told me that it was accident and that he totally understand, I then remember him mumbling something that I never forgot…"

Flashback

"I wish you didn't see me as a bad person, I'm really good." He mumbled under his breathe. Derreck watched as the boy slowly walked away with his head hung low, he almost felt bad for the boy, he didn't know what was going on in his head, but maybe he can give him a chance. He ran up to him and patted his shoulder, Kerith stared at him with confused eyes. "Look, maybe you need someone to talk to. I know we aren't on good terms, but I always someone who is need." The blonde flashed him a bright smile, they even shocked him.

The whole time they talked aimlessly about Kerith's problem, while praising about Derreck's chilled everyday life. They shared laughs while hearing each other out whenever they ranted, to their surprise they had many things in common. "So let me get this straight, you are under your sister's control, and now you want to express yourself without getting caught?" Kerith nodded. Derreck was quite shocked by this, he always thought that the boy was rude and selfish, but in reality he was just forced to be like this. Now he was even more curious, so he pulled out a towel and a bottle of water and threw it at the boy. He caught it easily but gave a questioning look, "Go wipe that makeup off and came back to me okay?"

The boy nodded slowly heading to the bathroom, after five minutes he walked back to the brunette handing him a towel covered in grey. "Sorry." Kerith quietly said. Derreck shrugged his shoulders, before walking up to him. He tried to get a good look at the boy but his darn hair was too distracting, so pulled his hair back completely shocked. He noticed the boy's chiseled jawline, his shiny grey eyes, everything, Kerith was actually really attractive...no homo. When you took off the makeup and the dorky outfit, you see a genuine guy with a sweetheart. "Have you thought about just wearing a simple outfit, like maybe a plain t-shirt, jeans, and maybe sneaker? Then just gel back your hair, because with just that people are going to see a different person. No one is going to recognize you, you already look different with just no makeup and pulled back hair. I'll be more than happy to help you dude. You don't need that much help though." Derreck finally said after examining the boy.

"Really? You're willing to help me?" Kerith asked while looking at the ground. Derreck patted his shoulder once again, before giving him a bright smile, "Yeah, I can honestly tell that you don't want to keep living this sad life style. I always want to help someone who honestly wants to change, and you my friend want to change." Tears started to form in the blonde boy's eyes, he quickly move causing his hair to cover his eyes. From that point Derreck knew that he had to help this boy, and he could sense a great friendship forming.

"Since then, we've been friends helping each other. Sadly, he couldn't show his true self out to the world, because of Jaryn his sister. When she found his secret stash of books, which he loves to, read books by the way, she burned them right in front of his face. At that moment we knew that she just cannot know, and how everybody hates the crew, no one can know about the friendship. Mo told me that if he had the chance he would beat them senselessly, or watch someone do it because that's how much they deserve it. And that's just coming from Mo, so that means everybody wants worse things to happen to him. The only person who can be out there with their friendship is Oblio, because he was friends with everybody, and they respected the fact that he had to hang with them for a while. Also, we knew that Oblio doesn't like the way they do things, meaning he was somewhat human."

You stopped chewing your food, staring at the backup dancer in awe; everything was starting to make sense. The reason Kerith goes back and forth, the reason for the quiet friendship, the reason for the open one, almost everything. After all he has done for her, after all they have done for her, she now has one job. Protect them, by keeping her mouth shut and helping them keep their secret.
