Yo! I hope you enjoy chapter 19, it took a lot in me to write this. Now this setting, so you do not get confused, is right before Dance Central 3. I do NOT own Dance Central, Harmonix, or YOU! Enjoy!
Oblio sat there on the edge of the building, the cool air slowly made his way through his blue hair. He was staring at the cars that flew through the busy streets; the foul smell of pollution filled his nostrils. The loud noises of cars honking, people bickering with each other, and other activities, that are unknown. This was the highlight of his day, staring at the night, enjoying the sights and to just think. Something didn't seem to feel right, he just doesn't know why, he sighed before he felt a presence behind him. He quickly turned around in a stance ready to fight, he looked around before relaxing. He grabbed his jacket walking away, before he felt a hand on his mouth, he got a whiff of an unusual smell causing him to pass out.
You laid in your bed staring at your ceiling, it has been five days since everything went down between you and Emilia, the day you had fun with Derreck. The past couples of days went by fine, you would spend time with Oblio at school, while constantly texting Kerith and Derreck. Sadly, you received a text from Derreck saying that he would be gone for a while. He said that there was an emergency mission in the DCI Headquarters, some dude named Dr. Tan, was trying to change dance by going into the past or something like that. So he and the Hi-Def crew had to go to the 80's through a time travel boom box, so the two of you wouldn't be in contact for a while. Then you haven't heard from Oblio, actually no one has heard from him, not even Kerith.
Though you thought nothing of it because you know Oblio likes to go on adventures alone, it was part of his lone wolf personality. So it meant that it was just you and Kerith, if he wasn't busy that is. Soon, your (color) phone started to buzz in rhythmically way, vibrating every few seconds, you quickly grab it answering it.
"Hello?"
"Hey, (F/n)" the familiar voice said.
"Hey Kerith. What's up?"
"Nothing much, hey, are you busy?"
"No, why?"
"Well I was going to head out to this cool club in town, and I wanted to know if you wanted to come tag along."
"I don't know Kerith, I mean I'm not a dancing type of person, and I don't like the big crowds."
"I understand, but I honestly think that you may enjoy it. Also when's the last time you got out of the house to have fun?"
"True. All right just let me get ready, and I'll head out with you."
"Sweet, I'll be there in twenty. Bye."
"Bye."
You hung up walking out of your room, softly knocking on your mother's door. "Hey mom, I'm going out, I'll be back. If anything changes I'll text you." You heard moving in the bed and a couple of groaning, but finally an 'okay'. You smile before rushing to get dressed, you didn't want to over dress, so you decided to go casual. You decided to go in a (color) button down, (dark color) jeans, and (color) Vans, you also decided to leave your hair down. Not long you sprayed some of (perfume name) on your wrist, not wanting to overwhelm yourself and the people around you.
You walked downstairs, out of the door, to see a familiar car; you smile as you strolled to the vehicle. Once inside, you smiled at the boy, you were more than happy to see him. For a while he's been so busy with his nagging sister, that he hasn't been able to hang with you. The car ride was calm, the two of you happily chatted about things from their week, to their favorite flavor ice cream. Soon you notice that you were arriving to the club, anxiety started to fill up in your body. Your body started to somewhat shake; causing you to want to turn around, suddenly you felt a warm hand on yours. You look up to see Kerith looking at you with concerned eyes, "Don't worry, everything will be okay. I promise." He calmly said before flashing you a smile.
That smile that made you feel safe, which told you that everything would be all right, that nice smiled that said just breathe. You took a deep breath in and out, before calming down; you nodded your head and started to get out of the car. The two of you made your way inside of the club to be greeted by blaring music, semi drunk people, and flashing rainbow lights. Feeling somewhat overwhelmed you took Kerith's hand letting him guide you through the huge crowd, to be shown a V.I.P section. "You can put your stuff down, the bodyguards will watch over it. I trust them; they won't let anything past them." Kerith said.
You nodded as you put your stuff down, but standing back up awkwardly. You saw the same creamy white hands, and grab it as he takes you to the dance floor. The song was slower and you can tell it was a Spanish song; it was 'Mi Ultima Carta By Prince Royce'. You gave Kerith a confusing look, before he added, "Have you never heard of Bachata? It's easy." You grasp his hand, while your other hand was gently placed on his shoulder. You started to move to your right for three steps, then to left for three steps. You look around to see other girls moving their hips, making it pop on the third count, causing you to understand the dance. You took a deep breath in and started to get into the song, your hips swaying to the rhythm. Kerith noticing your sudden adjustment, started to flow with it more, and in no time you felt like you were dancing in cloud nine.
This feeling was refreshing, you enjoyed every step, every beat, every move, and it made you feel alive. You haven't felt like this in a while, everything you ever stressed about had suddenly disappeared, plus the lyrics to the song made the mood thirty times better. Soon the blonde started to spin you to the beat, making each move more special than the last; you soon closed your (color) eyes feeling the beat in your soul. Kerith then pulled you closer to him, causing you to wrap his arms around his neck but to still dance to the music. Soon the song came to an end, making the two of you to pull apart; you looked at his grey eyes, totally entranced by his eyes. He stared back at you with that gorgeous smile, finally you snapped out of it pulling yourself completely from him.
"I'm going to get us a drink, anything fine?" He cleared his throat. You nodded slowly before making your way to the table, as you sat down you watched as the blonde made his way to bar. You didn't really realize what he was wearing; he was wearing a black button down that was rolled up, nice grey pair of pants, black shoes, his blonde hair slicked back, accessorized with a silver watch. You kept forgetting how attractive he was, those amazing grey eyes, those strong eyes, his perf- woah! You shook your head trying to get the thought out of your head, Kerith was your friend and nothing else. Then again, when you were dancing with him your heart was beginning to race at a rapid pace. No, no, no. You can't fall for him.
He came back placing a drink in front of you, giving you that dangerous smile. You took a sip of the drink smiling at the sweetness, but frowned when it burned down your throat. It has been a while since you last drank any alcoholic beverage, you forgot how much vodka can burn your throat. You ignored the burning feeling and put your attention to the man sitting in front of you, causing a smile to form around your lips. He raised an eyebrow in confusion, but not long you heard the song that seemed good to dance to. You gestured him to the dancefloor, at first he was shocked but happily went with you.
After an hour of just dancing, drinking, and having the time of your life. You finally started to walk with him out of the club, feeling a little tipsy, but it's not so bad.
"You okay?" Kerith asked holding you by your waist.
"Yeah, a little tipsy but I'll be fine."
"Good, let's go get something to eat."
"But I'm not hungry."
"You need something to absorb the alcohol."
"Never mind you're so right. Heh."
You ate your food, laughed for the time being. You always enjoyed your time with him, and you never wanted it to end. "I hope we can hang out more during the week, you know since both Derreck and Oblio are gone." You nodded your head happily, entrance by his deep raspy voice. "Yeah, maybe we can get lunch or something, that is if Jaryn isn't in control mode." The blonde busted out into laughter from your comment, wiping a tear he replied with, "No, the building is almost done, so she's telling everybody where to put things. Which means I'm free for the time being, until we get our new outfits. Which means a new makeup style, yikes." You giggle a little.
You dreaded the car ride home, as it went by rather quickly. Though you're not too mad, because you had a fun relaxing night, where you just did not care. It was already 4:47 a.m., way past any time you've been out, and you had class in the morning with a hangover. Great, but hey at least you had fun. Sadly, good things come to an end when you pulled up to your driveway, you look at the blonde with a smile, "I really enjoyed tonight, thank you for pushing me out of my bubble again Mr. Kerith." You both started to laugh once again, "I'll see you later Mrs. (F/n)." You lean over and give him a kiss on his cheek, before quickly getting out of the car and into your house. You close the door sliding down the door holding your chest, for the love of god and everything in life, you have fallen for Kerith.
Kerith sat there in his car stunned, he grazed his finger over his cheek, trying to comprehend as to what happened. (F/n) just kissed his cheek, maybe it's just a natural thing for her to do, but at the same time, that isn't something she normally does. He sighed putting his car in drive, slowly leaving the girl's house. The whole car ride was filled with the blonde thinking about the night, he hadn't expected it to end like this. He hadn't expect Bachata to play, the intimate dancing, the closeness, the laughter, the kiss on the cheek. Nothing. He just thought he would struggle to get her on the dancefloor, and that she would just be a wallflower. Then again he has to remember that she use to be a dancer, so she has rhythm flowing in her veins.
He always enjoyed her company, hearing her laugh, and chatter away about something humorous. At one point, the male dancer started to miss not being with her, he missed having interesting nights where he would learn more information about her. He missed hugging her, he missed- What was he thinking? He should know better than to think like this, he knew for a fact that this can get him in 3,000 times more trouble. He doesn't need to bring (F/n) into this situation, she's already going through enough. Though he had no control over this at all, he pulled up to his house and just sat there. He punched his wheel, sighing in frustration, but soon started to laugh, "I can't believe I'm starting to fall for you."
