"John."
John glanced up at the weary-looking detective in the kitchen doorway. "I thought you were asleep."
"I was..." Sherlock flicked his gaze in the direction of the television, albeit he wouldn't be able to see it from his angle. "Your television woke me up."
John frowned and glanced back at the TV. "I always watch... nevermind," he mumbled, reaching for the remote. "I'll turn it down."
"Complete silence..." Sherlock murmured.
"What?" John asked, looking up again.
"Complete silence to sleep," Sherlock clarified.
"Since when? You could sleep through a bomb," John said.
Sherlock raised his eyebrows slightly. "... You really think I could sleep through a bomb."
John sighed. "No. You'd wake up immediately and bound around, excited."
"Mmm..." Sherlock yawned widely, belatedly raising his hand to cover his mouth with his hand. "'m going back to bed..."
"Any time you want up?" John asked, glancing back at the morning paper.
Sherlock didn't respond.
John glanced up, finding the detective slumped against the door frame with his eyes closed, albeit still standing up. He sighed.
"Sherlock... Sherlock!" he called, snapping his fingers. "Hey!"
Sherlock peeled his eyes open, looking across the kitchen in confusion. "... Huh?"
"Go back to bed," John said, shaking his head with a smile.
"Uhh huh... 'night," Sherlock mumbled, turning to stumble back to the bedroom.
John didn't check, but he hoped that Sherlock had made it back in to his bed before he had fallen asleep again. If he heard a thump shortly, John guessed that meant he had fallen asleep standing again.
It's actually a bit difficult to come up with situations for sleepy!lock. :p This is straight off personal preference again. I cannot sleep if I so much as hear people on the telly whispering in the other room. It gives me such a headache. Might write one featuring a hurt!Sherlock if I can finagle it so it focusses on him being sleepy, instead of hurt...
Thank you for your support as usual. It means a lot. :) I do not own Sherlock.
