I didn't really dream during the nap I took, but I woke up completely refreshed. I stretched out with a happy purr, my whole body felt so much better. I tried to stand up, my legs were a little shaky, but thankfully I was able to stand up on my own.

I walked towards the window that was facing the forest. The sun was up pretty high, it looked like it was around noon.

I turned back to the bed and contemplated taking another nap but I decided against it. I felt well rested and full of energy, I didn't need to rest anymore.

I decided to take Vlad's advice and explore the place I would be staying in. I was really curious about the place. I could already tell it was quite large, probably at least two stories. I walked out of my room and into the hallway.

The hallway was pretty wide, paintings of different men and women lined the walls. The floor itself was hardwood, but it was mostly covered by a light blue rug. The walls themselves were a dark brown color. There were several doors in this hallway that I assumed led to more bedrooms. Maybe I would explore them later, but for now I wanted to explore the place.

I looked down both ways of the hall, trying to choose between going either way. Both had a corner at the end so I couldn't tell what they led to. Finally I decided to go left, when Vlad had helped me get to the bedroom we had come from the right, so I assumed the kitchen was that way.

I headed down the hall, looking at the different doors I passed. Judging by the space between the doors, I was pretty sure they weren't bedrooms. I would definitely have to check them out later. When I got to the corner I turned and walked down a shorter hallway which led to a huge greeting area, and huge was the understatement of the year.

The doors of the entrance were huge and wooden, covered with metal bars. They were very similar to those seen on a castle. The main area was huge. The walls of the main hall were green, while the frames of the hallway entrances we're golden. The floor was made of stone, like an old fashioned castle, and was covered by a green and gold colored rug. Across from a the doorway I came out of was another doorway that led to more areas of the castle. I could only assume it was a castle by how it was built.

The ceiling was arched incredibly high above my head, it had to be almost 30 feet high, and hanging from it were three chandeliers which were currently off. At the back of the main hall was a staircase. The stairs were wide and made out of marble.

I decided to explore the hallway directly ahead of me. I opened the first door I came to and was surprised to actually see a theater the size of one you'd normally go to in public. I shut the door, wondering what else this place could have.

I walked through the hall, occasionally opening doors. I came across a bowling alley, a room full of different instruments, a room full of Packers stuff which ranged from posters, uniforms, and a signed football. Eventually I came to a door at the end. I opened it and found myself in a large room filled with bookshelves.

The room itself had two stories, but no roof separating the two. Along the left and right walls were bookshelves that stretched from floor to ceiling. On the second story of the room was a sort of walkway that went three quarters of the way around the room.

To the right, in front of the bookshelf was a desk with a computer on it. To the left were a couple of comfortable looking chairs and a sofa. On the wall in front of the door was a huge fireplace with trophies on the mantle. On the same wall were two huge windows that let in a lot of light. In front of the fireplace were two less comfortable looking chairs.

I decided to take a look at some of the books, maybe Vlad had something I could read. I walked along the bookshelf to my left but quickly lost interest. It looked like it was a bunch of educational books, there was different kinds of history books, psychology books, math books, accounting books, pretty much what you would find in a college library. Switching to the other side of the room it was the same, although these books were about more complicated things like medical books and engineering books. I was considering going up to the second story to check out the books up there when a sudden chill went up my spine. I shuddered and gave a small gasp as blue mist escaped from my mouth.

I looked around, confused about what could have caused my body to react like that. The room wasn't incredibly cold, it was in fact kind of pleasant. So I crossed room temperature off the list, the only other thing that came to my mind was what my parents told me about ghosts. They could cause the temperature in a room to drop suddenly as well as give you goosebumps and cause your hairs to stand on end.

I looked around the room, scared, was there a ghost in the room? I couldn't see anything, but that didn't mean there wasn't one here. After all, ghosts could turn themselves invisible. I slowly backed up until my back was against the bookshelf, when suddenly my mind clicked.

Hold on, hadn't I turned into a ghost? Maybe I could try to change into that again. I shut my eyes and pictured what I had looked like after the accident, pushing myself to change. While concentrating I felt a cold feeling in the center of my body. I decided to try to see if it had something to do with changing into a ghost. I tapped into the cold feeling and gasped as it started to spread through my body. I lost my concentration and the cold feeling started to ebb away. I shook it off and tried again, this time I was a bit more prepared for the cold feeling and was surprised when it seemed to spread to all of my body, from my head to each of my fingertips and toes.

When the feeling finally passed I let out a breath that I had no idea I was holding. I opened my eyes and looked down at my hands. They were now covered in white gloves, which were attached to the black and white jumpsuit that I was wearing. "Yes, I did it." I cheered happily. I didn't even know if I would be able to control it, but I'm glad I can.

I looked around the room again, but nothing seemed to have changed. I let out another gasp as a shiver ran up my spine again and blue mist came out of my mouth. My eyes darted nervously around the room, hoping to catch sight of whatever could be setting it off. "Well well, what have we here?"

I jumped as I heard a voice ring out and gave a small yelp as something appeared in the middle of the study. It appeared to be some sort of metal exoskeleton, but it had a glowing effect to it that made me think it had to be a ghost of some sort. "Looks like some whelp wandered in. Tell me pup, what exactly made you think you could come to my employer's home uninvited?" He walked towards me and I shied away, trying to keep a safe distance between me and him. Everything about this thing had me on edge.

"I-I was invited in, h-he say I could stay here." I nervously stuttered as he kept trying to approach me.

"I doubt that very much pup, my employer doesn't take very kindly to strangers. Perhaps I could do him a favor and dispose of you here and now." I yelped when a blast of some sort of energy seemed to come at me. I tried to focus on making myself intangible again but wasn't able to do it before the blast reached me.

I yelled as the blast hit me straight in the chest and sent me flying across the room. My back slammed against the fireplace mantle and I slid down the wall to the floor. I scrambled to get back up as I heard some sort of machine power up. I jumped to the side, barely dodging another energy blast.

"Would you please stop attacking me? I already told you, the guy who owns this house is letting me stay here." I shouted at him as I dodged another blast. I felt my body start to heat up and start gathering in my hands, I looked down and saw that they were flowing with some sort of green energy. I gasped, what the heck could that mean? I looked at the ghost again then back down at the energy in my hands. When another blast came at me I instinctively raised my hands to defend myself and was surprised when some sort of energy shot out of them. It intercepted the other blast, causing a small explosion when they met. I looked down at my hands in surprise, how the heck did I do that? I looked down at my feet as some sort of ball rolled to them. I was a bit confused, what the heck was it supposed to- I screamed as electric energy surged through my entire body. I collapsed onto my hands and knees, unable to stand up.

I heard a door open behind me and someone shout out as my power ran out. I felt my whole body tingle and the cold energy start to fade away. By the time it had gone I collapsed onto my stomach and was back to human. As I could hear someone yelling at who I assume is the ghost I felt myself losing consciousness. The shouting finally stopped and someone walked in front of me. They crouched down and lifted me up in their arms, bridal style. I was able to catch a glimpse of the person's face before I completely blacked out, it was Vlad.
