Misguided Ghosts
Amy parked the car and glanced through her rearview mirror to see Puck park behind her. It had been two days since they bumped into each other and they finally reached Kansas. "Thank god we're finally here. We were out of gas now." Amy said. Karma glanced out the window and opened the door when she saw Liam and the others out. "Come on Amy." Karma called out. Amy sighed and stepped out, putting her gun in her holster. She looked around and frowned when she didn't see any zombies. It was too calm for her liking. She walked over to where the others were and stopped in front of Puckerman, who was looking around. "So? Where are your friends? You really think they would stay in one spot?" She asked, not fully trusting the guy.
Puck rolled his eyes at her and crossed his arms. "They wouldn't leave any of us behind. We're a family. They would wait at least a couple of days, unless things got too rough." Puck countered back. Amy only hummed in response and leaned against a tree. "Let's just wait for a while. If we see any zombies, we can take care of them. If things get too crazy, we can leave, but we come back when it's okay." He said. Amy thought about it for a minute and sighed with a nod.
"Okay! But we can't stay too long! We'll give your 'family' a couple of hours today. You better hope they do show up. I have my own family to take care of and I won't risk their safety just because you say we'll have more help." She snapped at him.
Puck throws his hands up in front of him and shrugs. "Alright, alright! Jesus… relax!" He said. He chuckled when he saw her glaring at him. "Why are you so uptight-" He stopped when he heard a crash. Amy and Puck looked at each other, drawing their weapons. "Did you guys hear that?" Karma asked, quickly running to them with the others. Amy only nodded as she pulled her gun out. She slowly walked down the street but stopped when she heard gun shots.
"Stay covered…" She said softly, crouching down slightly as she kept walking down the street. She glanced back and saw Puck walking behind her. "I got your back blondie." He said. She snorted and rolled her eyes as she looked back to the front. "The name is Amy." She muttered. She stopped when she heard a girl's voice and looked at Puck. "Sound familiar?" She whispered. The two stopped just around the corner as they tried to hear any other voices. "Recognize any?" Amy whispered. She saw Puck furrow his eyebrows as they heard a few yells when he finally spoke up again. "Santana?" He questioned out loud.
"Don't piss me off before I go all Lima Heights on your ass Fabray! We can't stay here longer!" Puck chuckled when he heard the voice again. He lowered his bat and looked at Amy with a smile on his face. "I know that girl. It's them." He said, running out into the street. Amy tried to call after him but failed when he ignored her. She groaned and followed after him. "Puckerman! Wait up!" She said. As they ran out from the corner, they saw a few bodies piled around a small building. Amy could see two girls arguing while a few people just watched them or looked around. "Santana! We agreed we'd wait a few more days for them. Puck and Finn would do the same so stop being such a bitch!"
"Says the damn ice queen…" Santana muttered. Amy only quirked an eyebrow as they ran towards the girls. "Quinn! Santana!" Puck yelled. Both girls jumped, startled when they heard the familiar voice. "Puck?" The two girls asked questioningly and turned around, only to be tackled into a hug. Amy had stopped running by now and decided to keep her distance for a bit. "Holy shit… it's really you Puckerman." Santana mumbled. Puck chuckled at her and smiled at them after they pulled away. "Where are Finn and the others?" Quinn asked, when she noticed that only he was there. Puck sighed and scratched at the back of his head. Both Santana shared a look of worry as they recognized that look on their friend's face. "About that… we lost Mike… and Sam and I were separated from Finn and Mercedes." He explained. "We ran into some trouble but we were able to handle ourselves until we ran into this chick here and her friends." It wasn't until Puck motioned to Amy, did Quinn and Santana finally noticed the girl.
"And who's that?" Santana asked, already sizing the girl up. Amy only quirked an eyebrow at her as she finally put her gun back in its holster. "I'm Amy. Amy Raudenfeld." Amy said, not moving an inch. Both Quinn and Santana stared at the girl for a while until they figured she wasn't all too dangerous. Quinn was the one to step up and shake the other blonde's hand. "I'm Quinn, and this is my friend Santana." Quinn said, motioning to the Latina, who only grunted in response. "Puck said there's more of you?" Quinn asked. Amy hesitated, not sure if she really could trust these people but nodded when she saw Puck give her his approval.
Quinn smiled and looked around. "Where are they then? And where's Troutymouth?" Santana asked. Puck shook his head at the Latina and whistled. A car drove around the corner and to them, followed by a smaller car. Lauren rolled down her window when she saw Amy walk over to her car. "We didn't know if you were going to be taking long so we decided to get in the cars just in case." Lauren said. Amy smiled at her sister and nodded. She frowned when she didn't see Karma in the car, and as if reading her mind, Lauren pointed to the other car.
"She really doesn't deserve you." Lauren said. Amy only sighed and shook her head. "Park the car before it dies out on us. We'll need to find some gas." Amy said. Lauren nodded and turned her car off. She stepped out of the car and stepped next to Amy, her dad standing a few feet behind them. "So I take it that they are Puck and Sam's friends?" Lauren questioned when she saw Sam step out of the car to give two girls a hug.
Amy crossed her arms and nodded. "Yeah… we shouldn't stay out in the open like this for too much time. It'll be getting dark soon and more zombies will be coming out." Amy said. Lauren hummed her agreement and looked up at the sky. "Where are we going to stay? I really don't want to stay cramped up in the car again." Lauren said. Amy opened her mouth to say something but closed it when she heard a car drive near. She glanced at Puck, who had heard it too and both quickly reached for their weapons.
"Oh relax Puckerman. That's just a friend of ours." Santana said when she noticed the two and saw the Cadillac. Santana walked past them and stopped in front of the car. "A friend?" Puck asked. Santana ignored him and walked over to the passenger side of the car when it opened. A blue haired girl stepped out with a large grin on her face as she saw her girlfriend. Amy walked over to Puck as they saw Santana tackle the girl into a hug. "Who's that?" Amy asked. Puck shrugged and glanced at her. "I have no idea but she's fucking hot. She's rocking that blue hair though which is a total turn on." Puck said, ogling the girl. They heard a chuckle from behind and turned to see Quinn with a smirk. "That's what I said and I almost got my ass kicked for checking Dani out." Quinn said. Puck's eyes widened at the thought of Quinn checking another girl out and turned back to look at Dani.
"She even has a hot name. Damn… wait, why would you almost get your ass kicked for that?" Puck asked. Quinn only chuckled when she noticed Santana glaring at the two of them. "Because, Puckerman, Dani is my fucking girlfriend." Santana said, slapping Puck's head. "San…" Dani said sternly. Santana sighed and apologized to Puck. "Is this the guy you told me has a big ego?" Dani asked amusingly. Puck glared at Santana while the Latina only nodded, ignoring him.
The driver's door then opened, and everyone turned back to see when they heard the man yell at them. "What the hell? You expect me to carry everything we got? Get your asses over here and help!" He yelled. Dani chuckled and apologized while Santana rolled her eyes at the man. "Who's that?" Puck asked in an upset tone. "That's Tallahassee. His real name is Ezra and that's my uncle." Quinn said, walking towards the car to help. Puck looked at her confused as he followed her to the back of the car. "I thought you didn't know your uncle." He said, helping her take a box out. Quinn only shrugged as she handed him the box. "It's a long story. I'll explain it to you later." She said. "Hey, Amy right? Mind helping over here with your friends? We'll introduce you to everyone when we get inside." Quinn said.
Amy nodded and walked over with her friends and helped them. "What's in the box?" Lauren asked when she realized they were a bit heavy. "Food, water, clothes, anything we could get our hands on basically that might be necessary." Dani said, taking the box from Lauren. The short blonde nodded and helped Karma take another one out. "And you guys need these many things?" Shane asked in surprise when he saw a lot of boxed goods and such. "We're a large group and some of our friends are still on their way here. Some of us got separated." Santana said, helping Quinn with a box. It wasn't until they took the boxes into the building that Amy and her friends realized why Dani and Tallahassee had brought so many things. Their group was much bigger. "Sandbag! Care to explain why there are strangers with you?!" Coach Sue asked when she opened the door for them.
Santana only rolled her eyes at the woman while Amy looked at her questioningly. "Sandbags?" She asked Santana. Santana only waved her off as they put the boxes on one side. "It's her nickname for me. If you guys stick around, she'll come up with some for you guys. You learn to get used to it." Santana explained before turning to Coach Sue. "They were with Puck and Sam. One of them is Finn's cousin." She said. Coach Sue scrutinized Amy and her friends for a while, judging if they were good people or not before finally relenting when she saw the others looking at her sternly. "Okay fine! Only because you only have one adult with you and all of you are kids. Welcome aboard you damn pathetic kids." Coach Sue said before going to check one of the boxes.
"Like I said, you'll get used to it. Being an asshole is kind of her thing." Santana said. Amy only hummed in acknowledgement. "Right, so how long were you guys planning on staying here? It's not exactly the most secure places to take shelter in." Amy said, realizing that the place really wasn't all that big than what it looked like. Quinn and Santana looked at each other before shrugging. "We're not sure to be honest. We just got here yesterday. We'll talk more about what we'll do later. Let's introduce you to everyone else." Quinn said, leading Amy and her friends towards the glee members and family.
I cut it off there because next chapter will be a slight time skip. The story is now officially set into motion now that both show characters have met. We also got Tallahassee and Columbus on the side. Lol. They aren't major characters so they won't really be mentioned much, and more characters will come in. Some might stick around, some will come and go, some will die, others will survive. Lol. Anyways, I always love seeing what you all have to say about this. :)
