Strife always loved to plan ahead. That came in handy today. Years ago, Strife had built a space station that hangs in the orbit of Mobius. It was tall and wide, shaped like a satelite. He got the design from a certain team of heroes that protected Earth. When Strife, Syeed, Alan, Flame, and Zarge had to retreat, this is where they landed.
"The Orbital Watcher." Strife named it, to the dismay of Syeed.
"That sounds too complicated. How about the Watchtower?" Syeed had replied.
"That's taken." Strife fired back.
"Who cares?" Syeed rolled his eyes and walked off.
Now Strife sat in the helm of the Orbital Watcher, which he dubbed simply "The Orbit."
"Or Orbit for short." Syeed commented when Strife had named the room.
The Orbit was the first thing you saw when coming directly at the ship from the orbit of Mobius, thus it was named The Orbit. The Orbit was protected by a large, unbreakable window. From the window, you could see a pretty good view of planet Mobius. A large, round table sat in the middle of the room. The far right end of the room was home to an array of computers and monitors, that watched over the orbit and space around Mobius. Strife looked out the window, just watching Mobius. He smiled at the beautiful sight of watching Mobius from space. It was more amazing each time he saw it.
Orbital Watcher: Living Quarters.
Meanwhile, in one of the many rooms of the living quarters, Zarge sat on a chair of ice, bored. Actually, Zarge had covered the whole room in ice, everything from the walls to all the furniture. "The cold never bothered me, anyway." Zarge said to himself, stuffing a small ice ball in his mouth and chewing down on it.
Zarge had recalled his confrontation with Alan earlier. Since then, the rage inside Zarge had calmed, but he still wanting to punch a hole through Alan. What a smug guy, Zarge thought to himself. So full of himself. Oh, look at me, I'm a silent bad ass. Zarge shook his head, creating an ice statue with the same shape, figure, and face as Alan. He threw ice balls at the figure until it broke down in pieces. Zarge laughed, but a feeling of denial struck him. Alan was right about everything so far. Zarge didn't like the plan of going right into a Banshee ship, but Alan did, and it worked. He didn't really approve of the plan of attacking a Banshee base head-on alone, but Alan did, and it worked. The boy sighed, thoughts swirling through his head. Zarge hung his head low, closing and resting his eyes. He heard footsteps.
"Troubled you are." Said a Yoda-like voice. Zarge lifted his head up to see Syeed, in his red exosuit, standing there.
"It's more of a range of emotions." Zarge nodded, sighing as he leaned back in his chair. "What's the matter with that asshole?"
Syeed shifted his voice back to normal, coughing. "Welp, I was kinda wondering the same thing with you."
Zarge raised an eyebrow of defiance. What did he do wrong? Nothing! He was the innocent guy here. "What?! I didn't do anything. I acted in defense."
"Defense of what?" Syeed's tone got more serious. "He didn't attack you. He didn't do much of anything, really."
"HE FIRED AT ME FIRST!"
"See? You're upset. Hear me out for a second, chap. The way I see it, it doesn't matter who started out. It was an uneeded fight that could have ended better than it did if you just walked away. Yeah, okay, "freedom of expression" or whatever it is you stand by, I get that, but still. Sometimes you just have to be the bigger man." Syeed nodded.
"Did you tell him the same thing?"
"Actually..." Syeed chuckled nervously. "N-noo..."
"Whatever." Zarge sighed. "It's just, he's been getting on my nerves ever since we first started working together, a few hours back. He's trying to run the show and it really pissed me off."
"Bro." Syeed started off, walking over and patting Zarge on the shoulder. "There's a lot of things that I get pissed off about, trust me. Like missing the premiere of Sword Art Online Season 2. Or being thrown a bill while I'm in the middle of eating at a restaurant. Or waking up with my underwear full of white stuff. Know what I'm saying?"
Zarge cringed a little at that last bit. "Uh, yeah. Say no more, man."
"Good, good. Now get with the program. We're going to go and start searching for those Banshee machine things. As a TEAM." Syeed narrowed his eyes at Zarge. "Remember what I said."
As Syeed walked to the exit, he held out his fist. The fist of the exosuit turned into some flamethrower. "Oh, and it's cold as hell in here." Syeed said, activating the flamethrower and putting out the ice in the room.
Zarge chuckled when he said "cold as hell." He couldn't even call that a pun because of how wrong it was.
Orbital Watcher: Simulation Chamber.
"Nice." Those were the words of Flame, who stood in the middle of the Simulation Chamber, looking around.
"Isn't it?" Syeed inputted as he walked in, a mug of coffee in his hand. "Strife's pretty good at building these things. I just wonder where he finds the time for it. Because, personally..." Syeed brought the coffee mug to his mouth, sipping some before bringing it down to his waist level again. "It seems like too much damn effort."
"Hmm." Flame looked around the room, thinking. "Well, maybe to you it's an effort, but to him it might be fun. Because he's used to it, ya know?"
"Good point. You wanna try it out?"
"I'll try it on my own time, thanks Sy." Flame nodded his head in Syeed's direction. "Now, about my friend.."
"Nitro, right? What about it?"
"I'm worried. I need to save him ASAP."
"Well, incidentally, we can't do that right now with those machines spouting out infinite soldiers." Syeed took another sip of his coffee, a look of disdain crossing his face. "Hopefully Strife gets the rest of those hidden locations done soon, because we can't really waste anymore time."
"You have a point, I suppose." Flame sighed, looking down. "It's just...the way they overpowered him. I think he's finally met his match, ya know?"
"Bro mans." Syeed started off. "Or, bromance."
"What are you on about?" Flame chuckled, looking at Syeed.
"Just saying. You seem to really care about this Nitro guy. You guys must've been bros for a long ass time."
"Yeah, pretty long." Flame walked over, grabbing Syeed's mug from him and taking a sip of the coffee before handing it back to Syeed. "Since childhood, really. We've been looking over each other, thick and thin."
Syeed looked at his coffee mug with disgust, throwing it to the side. "Totally bromance." He sighed as he made his way out of the room. Before exiting, he turned.
"By the way, have you seen Alan?"
"No." Flame replied, creating a torch on his finger and then blowing it out. "Said he needed to get some steam off or something like that."
