Location: Central City Outskirts
Time: ?
A purple, female Hedgehog examined Central City through the window of a very high-rise building. She sat with a glass of water gripped firmly in her hand as she overlooked the decaying city in front of her. Central City, she thought. Of course this would be the place where aliens decide to make the starting point for their big takeover. It's smart and dumb at the same time. Smart in the sense that Central City is the most populated city in Mobius. Dumb in the sense that the G.U.N headquarters are located there. But, after watching multiple news reports and all, the female hedgehog has learned that even G.U.N has been failing so far to take down these aliens. What are they called? Banshees? She let out a soft sigh as she slumped back in her chair, wondering if this was the end. She was disoriented, her sense of "what to do next" almost completely gone. She had defended Central City in the past. Well, Central City's underground, at least. Never had she battled invading aliens.
The creak of a door startled her. She turned in her seat, now seeing the rest of her office for the first time since her train of thought. She sat at a huge desk, a laptop powered on in front of her. Pictures of past times also rested on the desk, along with a lamp and a coffee maker. The room was also vastly decorated, a lamp sat in the corner, flowers and other plants made their homes around the room, and a refridgerator sat in another corner of the room. On the walls, pictures of motivational quotes and Central City hang there.
The female looked forward as the door to her office swung open, and in came a 4 foot tall Mobian chipmunk. This chipmunk was also a female, she cleared her throat before talking,
"Celeste, I think the whole moping around thing has played it's course." The female chipmunk spoke firmly, nodding her head, a clipboard in her arms.
The female hedgehog, Celeste, stood up. Celeste is the owner and CEO of Shizuki Enterprises, a company that specializes in technology and making Central City a better place. She's 21, and had recently taken over the company after her father stepped down. She was a little over 5 feet tall with a curvaceous body, wearing nothing more than basic jeans and a hoodie at the moment. Her hair was tied into a bun.
Celeste focused her bright blue eyes on the humanoid chipmunk across from her.
"What can I do? I've never battled any entire race of aliens before. I don't have powers or anything." Celeste replied, circling around her desk and coming face to face with the chipmunk. "Do you understand, Tomoe?"
The chipmunk, Tomoe, shook her head. "And? There are people out there without 'powers' fighting the good fight."
"And they're probably dying as we speak." Celeste shot back. "I'm not going to die."
"Well, I'll have you know that Syeed the Hedgehog, who also doesn't have-"
Celeste cut her off. "I don't care what Syeed the Hedgehog is doing. Why do you keep bringing him up? He's a rich prick who's earned nothing yet has everything. He's not a real 'hero'. He lets his little powered suit do all the work." Celeste ranted. "Clearly, he's not getting the job done either." She gestured out the window to the view of Central City. A smirk crossed her face.
Tomoe sighed, turning away, her back now facing Celeste. "Well at least Syeed and the REAL heroes are taking an effort to save the world. While you sit back and have your nice little cup of water while millions of people die." With that, Tomoe exited the room.
As Tomoe disappeared from sight, the smirk on Celeste's face slowly faded away. Her expression became serious, tense, as she stared into space. Maybe it was time to take action, she thought. There are people who put their lives on the line to ensure that she'd still be alive today. It's time to repay that favor.
Celeste walked to the wall, pressing a hidden button that caused the wall to slide open, revealing what appeared to be a costume. An all black costume with red lines running down the sides of the costume, complete with a red and black mask to conceal the head and face of the user. There was another case next to the costume that housed two kunai's, weapons used more commonly by the ninja, akin to a crowbar in the form of a blade. Next to the kunai's was a case that held the famed hanbo, another staff used in the martial arts.
Celeste crossed her arms after examining her setup.
"Maybe fighting aliens won't be so bad."
