Chapter 11: Chou Sisters, Blossoming on Stage!

The Anti-Toutaku Alliance was dissolved once its mission was accomplished. The now formerly allied factions returned to their respective home territories, including the Shoku Faction.

Yamato and his generals returned to Xizang along with their new comrades; Yue with her advisor and generals who had sworn their allegiance to the King of Shoku and Kada Genka. The physician decided to join Shoku because he had a feeling that they would eventually have another encounter with the White Clothes, which also meant that he would encounter the Crucial Keys to the Way of Peace since Yamato had confirmed that Ukitsu, one of the Chief Figures of the White Clothes, had the magic book in his possession.

The return trip to Xizang was quite uneventful and noticeably shorter as the Shoku Faction returned directly to their capital. The villagers as well as the soldiers who were stationed to protect the village and the Chou and Bi Sisters had greeted them with a heroes' welcome back. Apparently, the news of Yamato being elected as the Supreme Commander of the Anti-Toutaku Alliance had reached their ears. The news also included the victory against the ones who pulled the strings behind Toutaku's regime of tyranny. Hence, the vibrant mood of the villagers of Xizang. However, any further festivities had to wait. A lot of paperwork was waiting for him, Yamato reasoned, much to the Chou Sisters' lament but he didn't blame them at all.

After all, they were entertainers first and the foremost. Bureaucracy wasn't exactly listed in their job description.

Still, Yamato thanked them for their hard work during his absence, which Tenhou and her sisters' bashfully replied it was their pleasure since he had assigned them to it. Chiihou, though, had particularly said something that piqued his interest.

"No wonder most government officials are stupid, inept, or their job horribly. Their minds had snapped because of all the paperwork."

Yamato had a good laugh on that. He agreed with her sentiment. He was more at home at the battlefield than sitting behind a desk with a brush in hand and stacks of paper in front of him.

Now with their influence and reputation rising from Yamato leading the successful Anti-Toutaku Alliance, the Shoku Faction found themselves swamped with requests for alliances and trade from other smaller nations within and without Zhuo.

Among those requests were the formal letters from the Ba Clan and Son Go which contained the details about their alliance with Shoku and conditions to formalize it in order to make it official. Although, the numerous requests were not the only thing Yamato and his officers had to deal with. Shoku had also received many marriage proposals for Yamato since it was well known that he was still single which meant he was an eligible bachelor, especially with his status as one of the Messengers of Heaven and the King of Shoku, much to his generals' displeasure—especially Aisha and Touka. They were already aware from Shuri and Hinari of the possibility of an arranged marriage between Yamato and Renfa to cement the alliance between Son Go and Shoku once Sonsaku returned to the throne. The girls didn't like it, but they knew how necessary it was for their nation. That didn't mean they could accept the numerous marriage proposals from other nobles. So any marriage proposal that they received them was quickly rejected—'politely' as Yamato asked them too, of course.

Right now, Yamato was working through today's batch of paperwork which was as tall as he was when he was sitting at his desk i. It was important, he realized, but how he wished that he could breeze through these stacks of paper like he did through the battlefield. Thankfully, his workload was split between him and Touka with Shuri and Hinari assisting him with his while Aisha helped Touka with hers.

A wise man once said that a good leader should know how to delegate his responsibilities.

"Whew…" Yamato exhaled audibly as he rolled his shoulders and neck to relieve some gathered stress.

Shuri paused in her work to glance at her lord, "Are you alright, Yamato-sama?"

"Yeah, just a little stiff," he answered as he popped his neck to the sides.

"Maybe we should take a break, Shuri-chan. We have been doing this since morning and we've already gotten most of it done anyway," offered Hinari.

"Maybe we should," agreed Shuri as she put down her ink brush and massaged her right wrist. "My wrist is already starting to hurt."

"A bowstring can only be pulled so far before it snaps," quoted Yamato before he glanced at his own stack of paperwork. "I'm almost done with mine. What about you two?"

"I am almost done, Yamato-sama," answered Shuri.

"I am the same," replied Hinari.

It was then when there was a knock at the door. "Yamato-sama? It's us, Yue and Ei. May we come in?"

"Please enter," Yamato called out.

When the door opened, Yue and her former advisor Kaku, or Ei as she went by her true name, entered the room, carrying a tray contained several cups, a pot of tea, and a plate of rice crackers. The most peculiar thing about Yue and Ei was that they were now wearing maid uniforms. The uniforms were identical, consisting of black dresses with frilly white aprons, tied together in the back by white bows and frilly white headbands on their heads. It should be noted that Yue's skirt was longer than Ei's.

The two of them kept their personal accessories such as the red string ribbon tied to Yue's hair and Kaku's glasses and black pantyhose. Both of them were wearing brown loafers on their feet with the addition of a pair of white socks on Yue's dainty feet.

"We brought some refreshments for you, Shuri-san, Hinari-san, and Yamato-sama," Yue smiled with Ei following behind her wearing a neutral expression on her face.

"Thank you, Yue. You came at the right time, actually. We were just about to take a break when you knocked the door," said Yamato as he walked toward the small table in the center of his room. It also had several chairs set around it should he need to talk with his guests personally.

"Thank goodness," replied Yue as she and her former advisor placed the cups, the teapot, and plate of rice crackers on the table.

Ei then glanced at the stacks of paperwork on Yamato's table and commented, "You do know you still have a lot of work to do, don't you?"

"Ei-chan, Yamato-sama has been working since morning. He's earned this break," chided Yue at her biting remark.

"He still needs to finish his work first," retorted Ei.

Shuri and Hinari frowned at Ei's attitude towards their lord while Yamato only sighed.

The day after their return to Xizang, Yue decided not to impose on Yamato's generosity and made herself one of his maids. Her decision was protested by her former generals and Ei, but the they eventually relented, albeit reluctantly, when she stood firm on her decision.

Ei though, was not as easily to be swayed and decided that she too would become a maid herself because she didn't want Yue to bear the burden alone. She nitpicked at almost everything she saw as a flaw in Shoku as a form of protest, much to the other generals' dismay. Yamato, though, took her criticisms in stride and improved on those flaws, much to Ei's grumbling approval .

As for why Kaku allowed Yamato and the others to call her by her true name, it was because Yue had begged her to with the saddest puppy-dog eyes that Yamato had ever seen. Not that necessary, he thought, as Ei would completely bend over to do whatever Yue asked. It was an overkill for sure.

Deep down, Yamato just wanted to hug Yue for being so cute, but he restrained himself.

"That's alright, Yue. We're almost finished for today anyway," Yamato replied as he gestured to the smaller stack.

Ei scrutinized the stack for a moment before she harrumphed, "Hmph, you better be!"

"Ei-chan, must you always criticize Yamato-sama and the others?" chided Yue one more time with a frown of disapproval.

The bespectacled, green-haired girl lost her haughty attitude for a moment, "But Yue~! All that paperwork must be important! Kusanagi needs to get his act together as a ruler!"

"Actually, I'm already done the more important paperwork. I could always finish the rest later," Yamato corrected with a smile.

Ei looked deflated while Yue clapped her hands once as she looked at Yamato reverently. "As expected of you, Yamato-sama!"

Yamato chuckled as he patted Shuri and Hinari on the head, causing the girls to blush. "I had great help, really."

"Hawawa…Yamato-sama…" flushed the blonde in embarrassment.

"A-Awawa…" stammered the pigtailed bluenette.

"Say, what about you two take a break with us? I'm sure you have been working hard since morning too," offered Yamato.

Yue's cheeks flushed red at his offer. "Oh no, we shouldn't impose on you. We have more work waiting for us." Ei only narrowed her eyes silently in response.

"That's alright. Besides, I want to know if the both of you have settled yet," smiled Yamato as he motioned to the empty chairs. "Please, have a seat."

"Thank you very much, Yamato-sama. But first, please allow us to pour some tea for you, Shuri-san, and Hinari-san."

"Thank you, Yue-san," smiled Shuri appreciatively.

Once the tea was served to everyone, Yamato asked to the former empress, "So, how are you doing? Have you settled in with your new job?"

"I am doing great, Yamato-sama. Everyone here is so nice and they've been helping me to settle in. The other maids have also helped me to get used to my new position," answered Yue with a bright smile.

"I'm surprised you are so good with chores and housework, Yue-san," remarked Hinari.

A fond smile crossed the violet-eyed girl's feature as she replied, "I used to do chores and housework for my grandparents back in Bingzhou. Sure there were maids employed by my family, but I feel it is my responsibility as a granddaughter to take care of my grandparents."

"That's very admirable of you, Yue," nodded Yamato as he took a sip of his tea. His eyes widened when he tasted the tea. "Whoa, this tea is very good!"

Yue blushed at the praise. "T-Thank you, Yamato-sama. I-I'm glad you enjoy the tea I made."

"You made this tea yourself?" questioned Shuri after she sipped her cup of tea. It was really delicious, just like Yamato proclaimed.

"Yes, I often made tea for my grandparents," Yue's expression turned somber as she remembered her grandparents. "Ojii-san and Obaa-san must be really worried. I haven't been able to contact them ever since I moved to Luoyang. And then there was also that lie about me being a tyrant…"

"I wouldn't worry about that too much," said Yamato, much to her surprise. With an assuring smile, he added, "You can write a letter to them if you want to or better yet, how about we visit Bingzhou one of these days?"

Yue gasped in surprise before she stammered out, "R-Really? Y-You would do that, Yamato-sama?"

"Of course. You are now under my protection, so your well being and happiness is my responsibility," answered Yamato.

Yue shed a tear of happiness as she sniffled, "T-Thank you, Yamato-sama."Yamato nodded as he, Shuri, and Hinari smiled at the former Empress. Ei mumbled something under her breath which the witch hat-wearing strategist noticed.

"Did you say something, Ei-san?"Hinari asked.

"I-I said," Ei stammered out with a faint blush. "Y-You're not too bad, Kusanagi. But that doesn't mean I'm not keeping my eyes on you!"

Hinari regarded the green-haired girl curiously for a moment before she asked, "May I ask you why you are so distrustful toward Yamato-sama, Ei-san?"

The bespectacled maid-turned-advisor caught off guard by the suddenness of her question. "W-What do you mean?"

Yamato arched a curious eyebrow at the blue-haired strategist while Shuri appeared to agree with her best friend.

"Ei-chan, please be nicer to Yamato-sama," Yue chided with a frown before she bowed apologetically to Yamato, Shuri, and Hinari. "I apologize for Ei-chan's unsightly behavior, Yamato-sama."

"Y-Yue! Y-You shouldn't do that!" Ei stammered out.

"Ei is right, Yue. You don't have to do that," agreed Yamato.

"See? Even Kusanagi agree with me," argued Ei insistently.

"Ei-chan, Yamato-sama has been nothing but generous and accommodating to us, Ren, Nenene, and Miyabi since we arrived here. If it wasn't for him, goodness knows what would happen to us back then in Luoyang," said Yue, her pupils widening as her eyes became glassy. "Are you going to repay his kindness and generosity by antagonizing him like you always do?"

"Geh!" Yue flinched upon seeing her best friend's expression before she whined, "Yue~! That's not fair! I'm just trying to protect you like I promised Ojii-sama and Obaa-sama!"

"What do you mean by that, Ei-san?" asked Shuri curiously.

"A-About that…" Ei stammered at first before she coughed a little to compose herself. "I met Yue years ago when our family had a meeting. Our families have been friends and allies for a long time you see, so we were bound to meet sooner or later."

"Ei-chan is actually one year older than me and since we grew up together, she took up the role as a protective elder sister," added Yue as she smiled. "Ei-chan takes her role really seriously. Well, perhaps too seriously at times…"

"Of course I do! I have to look after Yue because she is too nice and trusting! I can't let any unscrupulous men take advantage of her!" Ei declared vehemently.

'That explains it…' thought Shuri and Hinari at the same time, a bead of sweat running down on the back of their head.

Yamato took a bite from a rice cracker and swallowed it after chewing several times. "I understand how you feel, Ei. In fact, I can sympathize with you."

"Huh? What do you mean?" asked Ei back curiously.

"I am the oldest child and the only son of my family. I have two sisters, Yuuhi Kusanagi and Yukari Kusanagi. Both have quite a lot of admirers, either boys or girls," here Yamato's expression darkened comically. "Both Yuuhi and Yukari are too kind, nice, and trusting at times, especially Yukari who is the friendliest of my sisters. I have to protect their innocence from the boys who thought they could…court them. I would gladly show them the errors of their way by introducing them to my shinai."

Shuri and Hinari huddled closer to each other and so did Yue and Ei when the usually calm and composed King of Shoku began to leak murderous intent as he rambled on.

"Now that my Lockseeds have become real, should I use some Inves to scare them away? Should I let the Inves wound them and let Helheim plants grow from their wounds? Better yet, should I transform and intimidate them with my armor? Should I neuter them with the blunt side of Musou Saber and shove their thingies down their throat? Maybe I can—"

"H-H-Hawawa, Y-Yamato-sama!"

Yamato was broken from his murderous rant when he heard Shuri frantically called out to him. He blinked as he returned to the real world and saw Shuri and Hinari hugging each other in fright. Their skin was chalk white and they trembled like a leaf while muttering their verbal tics. Yue and Ei were also doing the same as they trembled in each other's arms.

Yamato cleared his throat awkwardly as his killing intent faded, "Er, I'm sorry about that. I take the safety of my sisters very seriously. After all, elder siblings are born before their younger brothers and sisters because they have to protect them."

"T-That's alright. I-I'm glad you understand," replied Ei shakily. She then realized something, "Wait a second, if you're here then who will protect your sisters?"

"I'm not worried about that," Yamato smiled mischievously. "Yuuhi and Yukari can protect themselves as they too were trained in our family's swordsmanship. Anyone who tries to cop a feel from them will end up black and blue. Besides, I know my father and grandfather would protect them in my absence. They are as just protective as I am to them."

The maids and strategists nodded, feeling a little sorry for the boys who tried to court the Kusanagi Sisters. They should probably look elsewhere to avoid severe injury.

Yue suddenly clapped her hands once she realized something and smiled brightly. "See, Ei-chan? You do have something in common with Yamato-sama. Now you can get along with him, right?"

"W-Well, that's true…" answered Ei, fidgeting in her seat before turning to a smiling Yue and a curious Yamato before sighing to herself. "Alright, I will try." She then leveled a glare at Yamato. "But you better take things seriously from now on, Kusanagi. Now you are responsible for Yue's safety and happiness too since you took her in. I will be watching you closely, got it?"

"I swear on my honor as a ruler and an older brother," vowed Yamato and the green-haired girl nodded to him.

"Good," Ei then finished her tea as she stood up from her chair. "Come on, Yue. We shouldn't bother Kusanagi further. He needs to finish his paperwork and we still have our own work to do."

Yue giggled as she rose to her feet. "See? Now you are kinder to Yamato-sama. I'm so happy for you, Ei-chan!"

"I-It's nothing like that! I-I'm just doing my part to ensure Kusanagi does his job!" denied Ei, her cheeks flushing red.

"Oh Ei-chan. You really can't be honest to someone else, can you?" asked Yue with well hidden mischief in her smile.

"B-But, I'm honest with you!"

"Only at times."

"YUE~!" whined Ei with tears running down her cheeks like a waterfall.

Yue only giggled in response before she recomposed herself and bowed to Yamato and his strategists with Ei following her example. "We will be taking our leave now. Please pardon us, Yamato-sama."

Yamato nodded them. "Take care and don't push yourself too hard."

"We will, Yamato-sama," Yue and Ei replied as one before they left Yamato's room.

Yamato watched the two maids left before finishing his cup of tea and rice cracker before turning to Shuri and Hinari. "Alright, let's finish the rest of our work. It's almost lunchtime so we better try to finish them before we get some lunch."

"Yes, Yamato-sama," replied the Sleeping Dragon and Fledgling Phoenix Strategists at the same time.

As Yamato worked through his remaining paperwork, a smile curved on his lips. He was worried that Yue and Ei wouldn't be able to settle in and get used to their new life here in Xizang. It seemed that he was worried for nothing. With his worry eased, Yamato worked through his paperwork as he started humming one of the songs he liked. It wasn't long before he started singing the lyrics themselves.

"On the road dare mo tabi no tochuu…"

Shuri and Hinari shared a smile as they listened to their lord singing. They knew that Yamato occasionally sang if his mind was at ease or while he was enjoying himself. It looked like their small break with Yue and Ei had helped him to a degree. So they continued their work while being accompanied by Yamato's singing.

"Mokugekise yo Journey through the Decade"

Yamato finally finished his paperwork a little later from lunch. He parted ways with Shuri and Hinari as they needed to archive the paperwork and send out letters to their allies. He volunteered to help, but they put their foot down and told him to get some rest because he deserved it. Unable and not wanting to argue with his helpful strategists, Yamato did just that.

The young King of Shoku was walking along the hallway of his castle when he heard his name being called.

"Ah, Yamato-sama! Hello!"

He turned around to see the Chou Sisters. It was Tenhou who had called for him, waving her hand at him and smiling as she did so. Flanking her were her sisters, Renhou who nodded politely at him and Chiihou whose cheeks flushed when he looked at her.

"Oh, hello you three. Are you going out somewhere?" Yamato greeted back.

"Yes. We were going out to get some lunch," answered Renhou.

"You're getting lunch just now?"

"U-Um, well…We were out practicing our songs and we had so much fun that we lost track of time," admitted Chiihou sheepishly.

"I know what you mean," Yamato chuckled in reply. "I sometimes lose track of the time whenever I was training. Like they say, time flies faster when you're having fun."

Tenhou nodded before an idea came to her mind. "Yamato-sama, do you mind having lunch with us today?"

"Huh, I actually wanted to ask you the same. What a coincidence," replied Yamato. "Alright, I accept. I actually wanted to get to know you all better after you arrived, but the situation really didn't allow me to." The Chou Sisters flushed embarrassedly at his words, especially Chiihou.

"Y-You wanted to get to know us better, Y-Yamato-sama?" stammered the youngest of the Chou Sisters.

"Of course. I always want to get to know new friends," Yamato smiled at the sisters in return. "Shall we head to the town?"

Tenhou, Renhou, and Chiihou beamed brightly and nodded. They too wanted to get to know their lord who had not only spared them, but had also forgiven them for their part in the Yellow Turban Rebellion. He had given them a second chance that they wouldn't waste for anything. His actions had won him their loyalty and budding affection. Why wouldn't they fall for him after everything he had done for them?

The capital of Shoku was bustling with activity as usual with vendors selling their goods and villagers loitering around for their own business. As Yamato and the Chou Sisters passed by, the villagers greeted them happily.

"Hello, Yamato- sama!"

"How are you doing in this fine day?"

"Look! It's the Chou Sisters!"

"They are so lovely!"

"I can't wait to see you three hold another concert!"

Yamato smiled and waved his hand back at the villagers who greeted him and the Chou Sisters. He turned to see his companions smiling happily as they returned the warm greetings from villagers alike.

This was completely unlike the treatment he got from his peers at school. He was shown either admiration or jealousy. They were also intimidated by his skill and reputation, which made it hard for him to make friends. The only reason he didn't feel completely alone was that he had Shun and Yuki who were his only friends. In this place, while his skills and reputation did earn him admiration, nobody was intimidated by his presence. It was warm and welcoming.

"So, where do you want to eat?" asked Yamato.

"Over there," Renhou pointed to a restaurant nearby. "I heard they have a delicious sweet and sour chicken on their menu."

"Sounds good to me. Alright, let's go," replied Yamato as he and the Chou Sisters entered the restaurant.

A waitress greeted them and led them to an empty table where she took their orders. She then left to relay the orders to the chef, leaving Yamato and the sisters to themselves.

"I know this is late and all, but how are you doing? Have you three settled in well in the palace?" Yamato inquired.

"It's nice and we're grateful for your kindness and generosity. Everyone else has also helped us to get settled in ," spoke Tenhou. "It's just, well..."

"We miss singing," Chiihou confessed.

"Oh, right," Yamato realized. "You haven't had the chance to put on a concert."

"We love to sing for others, and we want to show everyone our appreciation for their kindness. Sadly, we really can't organize much of a concert," Renhou informed.

"Then I'll organize one for you," Yamato offered.

The sister's eyes widened in surprise. "R-Really? Y-You'd do that, Yamato-sama?" asked Chiihou

"Of course. Sure, I'd need to ask Shuri and Hinari to see if we could manage something, but I don't think it'd be much of a problem," answered Yamato. "Besides, right now we have the perfect occasion with the success of the Anti-Toutaku Alliance. I did say the festivities would have to wait because of all of the paperwork, but now we can have our celebration."

"It is pretty late for that, though," Renhou pointed out.

"It's not a problem. You girls did a great job in my absence and deserve a reward. Plus, I never really got the chance to hear you sing, so this is a reward for me too." He had heard of their singing prowess from Touka. However, he never really had the chance to watch the sisters perform before. All that had happened before his arrival.

"We will do our best, Yamato-sama!" promised Tenhou.

"Do you have any requests?" Chiihou asked.

Yamato blinked and said, "Well, actually...there is something I would like you to do."

"Oh?" Chiihou cocked an eyebrow.

"There's this song I would like you to sing. I have the lyrics, but I haven't written them down."

"A song from your homeland?" inquired Tenhou curiously.

"You could say that, and it's one of my favorites."

"It would be an honor to us to sing your favorite song, Yamato-sama," replied Renhou with a smile.

"Great, I'm looking forward for it," Yamato smiled.

In his room, Yamato grabbed a few sheets of paper, ink and a brush before he started to write down the lyrics. As a lover of Kamen Riders, he loved to listen to the soundtracks. He had listened to them so much that he knew them all by heart. It had been a very long time since he had heard them himself, only able to hum and recall them from memory. Now he would have the chance to hear those songs being sung. Besides, there was no one could sue him here for copyright issues ands all.

He chuckled to himself. The Chou Sisters could pretty much be his own version of the Kamen Rider Girls idol group.

"Perhaps I should tell Shun and Yuki about the concert," he spoke to himself. His friends would definitely appreciate the gesture and enjoy the concert as well.

Yamato finally finished putting down the lyrics he wanted on paper, only to realize that he had written lyrics for four different songs. He pondered about it for a moment before he shrugged. The sisters would be excited to sing some new songs.

He tidied up the papers before giving them to Tenhou who was patiently waiting in the guests chairs in his room with her sisters.

"Here you go," Yamato handed the lyrics to her.

"Thank you, Yamato-sama," replied Tenhou as she took the papers from him. She read the lyrics with her sisters for several minutes as they tried to memorize them. The eldest Chou Sister then turned to Yamato. "Yamato-sama, these are lyrics for four different songs."

"Sorry. I got a little carried away," he apologized.

"That's alright. We can do this," replied Chiihou firmly before she smiled. "Besides, it is an even greater honor to sing these songs for you, Yamato-sama."

"I'm glad to hear that," said Yamato. "Well, you can start practicing soon while I organize the event with Shuri and Hinari. We will also need to send out invitations to our allies, so we will be pretty busy for the next few days."

"Alright, we will do our best too! This is the first concert that Yamato-sama has organized for us and we won't let you down!" replied Tenhou, her excitement reflected in her cyan eyes.

"This is also will be our return concert after…" Chiihou trailed off and her sisters and Yamato understood what she meant.

"Don't worry. I'm sure you three will do great," smiled Yamato assuringly. "If you really love to sing, then remember what I told you when we first met."

"Music and songs are the language of peace and happiness while the singers and musicians are their emissaries," quoted Renhou. "We will not forget that lesson, Yamato-sama."

"We will do our best to meet your expectations, Yamato-sama," added Chiihou determinedly.

"Good, but please don't push yourself too hard. You don't want to be sick on the big day, do you?"

"We won't," promised Tenhou before she realized something important. "Ano, Yamato-sama. We've never sung these songs before, will you teach us?"

"Sure. Just a word of warning, I'm not the best singer out there, so…"

"That's alright, Yamato-sama. We can learn together and it will more fun that way," Chiihou beamed in reply. She was looking forward to practicing with Yamato if it meant she and her sisters could spend more time with him.

"Thanks. So, which one we will start with?" Yamato asked to the sisters.

Renhou looked through the papers before she handed one of them to Yamato. "How about this one, Yamato-sama?"

Yamato glanced briefly at the paper and nodded. "Alright, let' get started."

"You wish to organize a concert?" Shuri asked Yamato.

"I thought it would be something nice for the Chou Sisters and the villagers. So, will we be able to do it?"

Shuri made some mental calculations before she answered, "We should have enough in the treasury to hire carpenters to build a stage."

"Can they have the stage done in a week? We can use the time to invite our allies and neighboring villages to come too," suggested Yamato.

Hinari thought about it for a moment before she finally spoke up, "I think it is possible, but we may need some express couriers for our more distant allies."

Yamato nodded as he listed it on his mental checklist.

"I can't believe you're organizing the concert for the Chou Sisters!" gushed Touka, her eyes sparkling in delight. "Moreover, you also asked for us to help you! It's like a dream comes true to me!"

"Those girls deserve it after their hard work they put in during our absence when we joined the Anti-Toutaku Alliance," replied Yamato.

"This concert also means that they have left their past as the instigator of the Yellow Turban behind. We have to do our best to make it memorable for Tenhou and her sisters," nodded Aisha.

"Do you think they'll sing some of my favorites?" Touka inquired excitedly.

"Perhaps."

"They might have some new material," Yamato suggested knowingly.

Aisha took note of the expression on her lord's face and immediately deduced that he knew something they didn't. "Yamato-sama. You know something, don't you?"

"May~be," replied Yamato with cheeky grin.

Touka pouted at his reply and protested, "How mean, Yamato-sama~! Please tell us if you know something!"

"But that would be ruining the surprise, wouldn't it?" Yamato retorted and Touka pouted again. "Anyway, let's make this concert a reality, everyone!"

Yamato went to see the Chou Sisters to help them with their rehearsal. While he had helped them by providing them with new lyrics, he had not yet helped them with the music itself. That would be a challenge as Yamato wasn't exactly a composer. However, he was a fan of music and knew the beats and rhythm by heart.

When he reached the door to the sisters' room, he heard that they were already in the middle of practicing one of the songs he had written for them. He decided to not interrupt them and listen to their singing. Since he had been helping them for the last two days, Yamato knew how good the Chou Sisters were. If they existed back then in his homeworld, then they would become a famous idol group in an instant. They had good singing voices and definitely had the looks which would make them even more famous.

When they finally finished singing, he knocked on the door and announced himself, "Girls, it's me."

"Please come in, Yamato-sama!" he heard Chiihou answer him.

He opened the door and saw the girls were standing in the middle of the room. The papers which had the lyrics written on them were on top of a small table near the wall. Also, he spotted several crystals lying on top a drawer table next to the small table.

"I heard you were practicing the songs I had written for you. You sound great," said Yamato as the girls preened under his praise.

"Thank you, Yamato-sama," smiled Tenhou. "The songs you wanted us to sing are simply wonderful! I never knew that the songs of your world were so...so…."

"Good?" Yamato tried to guess.

"It is more than that, Yamato-sama," corrected Renhou. "What Onee-san trying to say is the meaning behind the lyrics. They are nothing like the songs we have sung before."

"Well, that's the songs from my homeland to you," replied Yamato. "Anyway, I'm here to check on you girls. Is there something else you need? Like any preference for you stage, the music, or difficulties with your songs?"

"Actually, you can help us with the music," said Chiihou as she picked a crystal from the drawer table. "This crystal is actually a magic crystal that plays the music for our songs. Since we don't know the music for the songs you requested us to sing, we need your help to record the music into this crystal."

Yamato plucked the crystal from Chiihou's hand and examined it. "I take it this crystal is a product of magic from that book, right?"He was referring to the Crucial Keys to the Way of Peace.

Chiihou nodded, knowing what Yamato meant. "Although that book's contents were dark and twisted, there are some parts of it that were actually helpful, like these crystals and the 'microphones'."

"How does this work anyway?" asked Yamato as he examined the crystal in his hand.

"Please think about the song you want to record and its music. If it is possible, please think only of the music of the song, since it will also record the lyrics sang by the singer of the song," instructed Chiihou.

It took Yamato several tries to get the recording right. While he had a good grasp of the instrumental version of the songs, he ended recording the lyrics too. Still, his failed attempts also helped the Chou Sisters familiarize themselves with the songs they were going to sing.

"Thank you so much for the help, Yamato-sama," Tenhou and her sisters bowed to him appreciatively.

"Hey, there's no need to bow to me. I'm just doing my job to make sure you girls are at your best when you perform. I promised you, didn't I?" replied Yamato.

"But...because you helped us, your work as the ruler of Shoku has to wait," said Renhou guiltily, a feeling which soon mirrored by her sisters.

"It's alright. Don't worry about it," assured Yamato. "All that paperwork can be done later and I've already delegated it between my generals so we can finish it faster."

"So you will help us practice some more?" Tenhou asked with a blush.

"Of course," Yamato smiled.

"We will not disappoint you, we promise," replied Chiihou, also blushing.

Meanwhile, in Son Go...

"What is that, Renfa?" Sonsaku asked Renfa as she was reading a letter. Sonsaku was still bedridden but her health had been steadily improving with time.

"Oh, it's a letter from Yamato," answered Renfa.

"You mean your future husband?" teased Sonsaku as her sister blushed.

"Onee-sama!" Renfa huffed before she explained the contents of the letter to her and her younger sister. "He's actually inviting us to a special event. A concert by the Chou Sisters."

"The Chou Sisters!?" exclaimed Sonshoukou excitedly. Sonshoukou was Renfa and Sonsaku's youngest sister. She shared the same physical traits as her sisters such as pink hair, blue cat-like eyes, and naturally tanned skin. Her hair was done into an oxhorn style held together by a pair of white ribbons with waist length bangs framing her face. She was wearing a light pink dress shirt with long flowing sleeves and yellow trim accents which bared her midriff and a similarly colored skirt. Her legs were covered by a pair of thigh-high leggings and a pair of brown shoes covered her feet. To compliment her appearance, a magenta bow decorated her shirt and a larger one was tied on the back of her waist. "You mean those famous singers!?"

"Yes, Shaoren. Those Chou Sisters. You know, I wouldn't mind attending such an event. It would be quite rude to reject such a gracious invitation from our ally." Renfa then asked Yuki, "What do you think?"

"It sounds like something we can't afford to miss," Yuki advised. "Also, it's a good chance for Shao-sama to meet Yamato in person."

"You didn't let me go when you joined the Alliance," Sonshoukou reminded.

"It was dangerous, Shaoren," reminded Renfa. "At least this time we will be visiting an ally as guests."

A mischievous expression crossed the features of the youngest Son Family daughter. "Well~, at least I can finally meet with this Yamato Kusanagi you are always talking about, Renfa-neesan. I wonder if he really is as handsome as you say."

"Shaoren…" warned Renfa, but her sister deliberately ignored her.

"Would he mind taking me as one of his wives?"

Renfa blushed like a storm and tried to scold her sister, but all she managed was a stammer. Sonsaku giggled at the antics of her sisters while Yuki sighed.

'Since when did Yamato turn into the hero of a harem story?' the Green Marksman wondered to herself.

And also in Sou Gi, Karin had received the message and invitation.

"Hmph, looks like Yamato really wants to try to make friends with us," huffed Karin after she finished reading the message.

"That's sounds like him alright," Shun grinned knowingly. "Since my bud invited us, I think I will come. Besides, those Chou Sisters are really good, right? The more reason for me to come."

"Karin-sama, you don't really need to waste your time with such things," advised Jun'iku.

"On the contrary, Keifa. I would like to see this concert he is hosting. It gives us a good chance to see how Yamato rules his territory," Karin replied.

"Besides, her loliness has been working pretty hard. Maybe she can relax for once and enjoy some nice songs. Heh, I bet my buddy's been helping them with some new songs himself," Shun dared to say.

"What makes you say that, Shun?" asked Kakouen curiously.

"Just a hunch. That, and he enjoys good music once in a while," the Red Knight answered. " I can't help draw comparisons between the Chou Sisters and a certain idol group from back home."

"Huh, is that so?" Karin wondered to herself with a small smile. "Send the word to Yamato. I will come to watch this concert."

"At once, Karin-sama," muttered Jun'iku. She didn' t like it, but these were Karin's orders and she had to obey.

Meanwhile, back in Shoku...

"Ne, Yamato-sama. I was wondering about the songs you wrote for us," spoke Tenhou. "The one called Toki no Hana. Does it have any significance to you?"

"Oh, that one. You see, Toki no Hana plays when the original Gaim got his second wind while fighting against strong adversaries like Bravo and a Genesis Rider called Sigurd. He even scored the first victory for a Sengoku Rider fighting against a Genesis Rider in one-on-one battle by defeating Sigurd. He even ended up taking his Energy Lockseed too," replied Yamato with a smile. Recalling the episode where Kouta wiped the smug grin off of Sid's face was always a memorable moment during Gaim's airing. "That song always inspires me."

"I see what you mean," nodded Chiihou. "You want to be like the original Gaim who never gave up when facing incredible odds, to never surrender against any kind of adversary."

"That's right. Also, the other songs I wrote for you have their own significance too ," spoke Yamato as the girls paid attention to him. "Giant Step represents your will and courage to move forward despite the uncertainty in the future. Just the Beginning represents an end to something old can also be the beginning of something new. Exciting x Attitude represents the indomitable will to carry on your ideals even if the world is against you and fighting for what you believe in. And Toki no Hana represents some things that will never change even if time marches on."

"We understand, Yamato-sama," replied Renhou.

"We will convey the message behind these songs to our audience in our concert," added Tenhou determinedly. "It's our job as the singers, after all."

"That's the spirit," said Yamato. "Alright, let's review your progress so far before we start practicing again."

Soon it was the day of the concert. The stage was set and decorated beautifully for the event. Yamato supervised everything with the Chou Sisters to make sure everything would be perfect. He also made sure that nobody disturbed the girls as they rehearsed for the show. He couldn't have fans bothering them before the big show. He provided them water when their throats were dry from singing.

And he also made sure they were well fed so that they didn't grow hungry during the show or faint on stage. To faint on stage during the concert would just make him a fool for not preparing for such a situation. Other than that, things were going very smoothly for the rehearsals and for the concert that was to come. Not only that, Yamato made advertisements two days before and had his soldiers put up flyers for the townspeople to see. Everyone was invited and it was free and open to the public. Shop owners were even willing to sell their merchandise and give all their money and proceeds to pay for the concert. Sure it was a bit extreme, but he welcomed it since he thought that the money could be used in the future to develop Shoku's capital.

"Why do you look so upset, Aisha?" Touka asked.

"Yamato-sama has been spending a lot of time with those sisters," Aisha said bitterly. She couldn't help but feel a bit jealous. The Chou Sisters were beautiful and talented. She compared her to them, and saw she was lacking in femininity. She was a warrior so she had no reason to be so feminine. However, sometimes she just wanted her lord to look at her with loving eyes.

Just the thought of that made her blush.

"Oh, that he has," Touka agreed, also frowning. "He hasn't even told me anything about the new songs. I even asked nicely." She too was jealous of the sisters because Yamato had paid so much attention to them lately. Sure, he helped them prepare for the concert and wrote them new songs, but she wanted some attention from him too. Oh, and a bit sneak peek for the new songs would be good too.

"You should just enjoy the concert," advised Shuri.

"Look, there's Onii-chan now!" Rinrin pointed as Yamato approached.

"Hey, girls," Yamato greeted and he saw Aisha pouting. "What's wrong, Aisha?"

"Oh, Aneja is sulking because-" Aisha quickly covered Rinrin's mouth to stop her from blabbing.

"Oh, it's nothing, really," Aisha excused hurriedly.

"You know, the concert is about to start soon. We'll need to greet Karin-dono and Renfa-dono once they arrive," Yamato told them. The two queens had sent their reply to the invitations and said they would be coming. His friends would be coming too, according to the replies.

The Sou Gi and Son Go contingent arrived at the gates of Xizang at the same time. Karin brought Shun and two of her officers, Kakuka Houkou and Ukin Bunsoku. Kakuka was one of her strategists while Ukin usually worked together with Gakushin Bunken and Riten Mansei, Karin's other generals.

Renfa herself brought Yuki, Sonshoukou, Shuutai Youhei and Kougai Koufuku with her. Shuutai was assigned as Sonshoukou's bodyguard for the duration of this visit while Kougai herself was one of the senior generals of Son Go who had worked under the founder of Son Go, Sonken Bundai. Sonsaku was still weak and ill, so she couldn't come to watch, which was disappointing.

"Welcome, everyone. I hope you had a pleasant journey to my humble capital," greeted Yamato.

"It was quite boring, actually. I look forward to see your capital and the concert you organized tonight, Yamato," replied Karin.

"I too have been looking forward to see your capital, Yamato-dono," Renfa spoke before her cheeks colored a little. "I wanted to see the Chou Sisters in action too."

"You're a fan of them too, Renfa-dono?" asked Yamato.

"Yup! Renfa-neesan is a fan of the Chou Sisters, like everyone in Son Go!" It was Sonshoukou who answered for her sister with a bright smile.

"Shaoren!" chided Renfa before she apologized to Yamato. "My apologies for my sister's rudeness, Yamato-dono."

"That's alright," Yamato replied before focusing to the younger girl. "So you're Sonshoukou, the youngest daughter of Son Go family."

"That's right! My name is Sonshoukou, but you can call me Shaoren if you want to," replied Sonshoukou as she regarded Yamato curiously. "Hmm...So you're Yamato Kusanagi, Renfa-neesan's future husband."

Aisha and Touka's eyebrow twitched at her respond while Renfa blushed. Yamato cleared his throat awkwardly and replied, "Well, we're just allies for now."

"Really?" asked Sonshoukou curiously before she shrugged and smiled mischievously. "I'll be the judge of that later, but I do agree that you're quite handsome."

"Er, thank you?" Yamato answered unsurely.

"Wow, I didn't know you're turning into a lolicon, buddy," Shun remarked, only for Yuki to smack him on the head with a paper fan which she pulled...out of somewhere.

The others looked at her in surprise to while she replied with a flat, "What is it?"

They shook their heads in reply. It was better for them to not think about the impossibility of what they were seeing right now.

"Shaoren," Renfa chided while her sister just shrugged and smiled in return. The Queen of Son Go sighed before she introduced the rest of her entourage. "May I introduce the rest my entourage? This is Shuutai Youhei and Kougai Koufuku."

Shuutai stepped forward and bowed to Yamato. "Greetings, Kusanagi-dono. My name is Shuutai Youhei. You may have heard my name during the Anti-Toutaku Alliance, but I believe this is the first time we've officially met."

Shuutai was a young woman with long black hair that went past her waist and red eyes. Her ensemble practically screamed ninja to Yamato from her white-trimmed purple tunic with black obi that had red ribbon tied into it, her arm length glove and knee length black socks with brown arm and shin guards, the straw sandals on her feet, the golden forehead protector tied to to her forehead by white cloth, down to the nodachi hung by red strings on her back and brown bandoleer with several kunai sheathed strapped to her left thigh.

Definitely a ninja.

"Yes, I have. You're the one who had gathered the intelligence for us along with Kannei, correct? Thank you for your hard work back then."

"It is my pleasure to help," Shutai bowed once more in acknowledgment.

It was Kougai's turn to introduce herself. "Greetings, Kusanagi-sama. My name is Kougai Koufuku, a senior officer of Son Go. It is a pleasure to finally meet you in person. Renfa-sama and Yuki-chan has been talking about you for a while."

"It is a pleasure to me as well, Kougai-san," Yamato declined his head in acknowledgement. He was surprised to see this world's Kougai Koufuku was actually a mature and not to mention drop dead gorgeous woman.

Kougai had long silver hair that was done into a neat ponytail, cat-like blue eyes, and tanned skin like Renfa and her sister. What made her stand out in the crowd were her large breasts, easily the biggest Yamato had ever seen. She was wearing a flattering purple cheongsam with a lotus shaped cleavage window which hid nothing of her appealing figure. She also wore light pink detached sleeves and leggings which were connected to her garters by a pair of straps.

So not the old man like the history books depicted in his world.

Come to think of it, every genderbent version of the famous figures of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms of this world were all younger than they should be, save for Sonshoukou, since she was also a girl in his world, who actually became younger than she was supposed to be.

Maybe he should forget some parts of the history he knew of to spare him from any headaches in the future.

"Allow me to introduce my entourage," said Karin as she gestured to Ukin and Kakuka. "These two are Kakuka Houkou and Ukin Bunsoku, my strategist and my officer respectively."

"Greetings, Kusanagi-sama," Kakuka and Ukin bowed to him in respect.

Kakuka was a young woman with brown hair tied in a bun with blue eyes and wore round glasses. she wore a sleeveless purple dress with a white collar and pink bow. Over her dress she wore a sleeveless green coat and her appearance was further complimented with a pair of long black gloves and black leggings with straps that connected to her garters.

Ukin on the other hand was also a glasses-wearing young woman with orange hair that was tied up in a braided ponytail on the side and green eyes. She wore a pink blouse and short green skirt, which were complimented further with a pair of loose white socks and black shoes.

Kakuka and Ukin were big fans of the Chou Sisters. Their return concert was something they couldn't afford to miss, no matter where it was.

"Greetings to you too," Yamato replied with a nod. "Since we still have time before the concert, how about I take you on a tour around Xizang?"

"I was expecting that,"answered Karin with a smirk. "Lead the way, Kusanagi."

Yamato showed his guests around to kill some time. Soon, the concert began and everyone was cheering for the Chou Sisters as they came onto the stage with artificial spotlights made of magic crystals shining on them and following their movement.

"Good evening, everyone!" The audience's cheer became louder when Tenhou and her sisters greeted their fans and the present audience. "I'm Choukaku!"

"I'm Chouryou."

"And I'm Chouhou! We are…"

"THE CHOU SISTERS!"

The cheers reached a crescendo for a moment before it died down, allowing the sisters to continue.

"First of all, thank you for coming to our return concert," Tenhou spoke up. "And to our fans, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your loyalty to us despite being gone for so long. I hope our return concert will satisfy you tonight!"

"I'm sure you all want us to stop talking and start singing, right?" The crowd answered Chiihou's question with a loud roar of approval. "And you got it! Are you ready?"

"THIS IS OUR STAGE NOW!" the three sister yelled out as they posed together.

The first three songs the Chou Sisters sang were the songs they composed during their idol days before they started the Yellow Turbans Rebellion. It was as if they were saying goodbye to their past. Now they had a new future to look forward to, along with Yamato and everyone in Shoku.

After they finished singing their three songs, Tenhou spoke into her microphone, "Everyone, thank you so much for coming! I can see all of you have been looking forward to our return and we really appreciate it! We actually have something special! New songs!" The cheers from the audience erupted.

"These songs are special. They were written for us by someone special who believed we could make a new beginning for ourselves," spoke Chiihou. The blue-haired Chou Sister then smiled lovingly at Yamato's direction. He noticed it and returned her smile as he nodded. "Yamato-sama, thank you so much for composing these songs for us! This next one is for you!" This surprised those who did not know. Renfa and Karin were unaware that Yamato could write songs.

The music began to play and his friends turned to him in surprise when they heard the familiar beat.

"Giant Step?" questioned Yuki.

"Why not? This concert is a big step forward for them," answered Yamato, shrugging. "Besides, no one can sue me for copyright infringement at all here."

Once Giant Step ended, the Chou Sisters brought the next songs that Yamato wrote for them. From Just the Beginning, E-X-A ~Exciting x Attitude~, and now they were singing Toki no Hana.

"Are you trying to form your own Kamen Rider Girls or what?" asked Shun incredulously. Three of the songs the Chou Sisters sung were also sung by the aforementioned idol group.

"Why not? They have the talent and the look to pull it off," replied Yamato before he went to think. "Maybe I can get the belt replicas made for them."

"Mou, Yamato-sama," Touka frowned. "You didn't tell us you wrote new songs for them!"

"I told you. It was a surprise," Yamato reminded.

"I never knew you could write songs, Yamato-sama," remarked Aisha. "I guess your talents go beyond swordplay."

"I just copied them from memory. I listened to those songs a lot so I remember them," replied Yamato.

"You're really an interesting person, Yamato," nodded Karin appraisingly.

"How true, it looks like my choice was right after all," smiled Renfa. "I know this alliance would bear fruit to us all."

Sonshoukou regarded Yamato with an appraising gaze for a moment before she smiled. "Well, Renfa-neesan sure knows how to pick a husband."

Renfa and Yamato blushed while Aisha and Touka's eyebrow twitched at that remark.

"And now I really want to be your wife too!" Sonshoukou's declaration surprised everyone, before the explosion happened.

"Shaoren!" chided Renfa with a furious blush.

"Yamato-sama!" Aisha and Touka yelled while Shuri and Hinari's ears began to let out steam.

"You do realize when I said you were turning into a lolicon, I was kidding, right?" Shun deadpanned.

"It's nothing like that!" Yamato defended himself frantically.

Yuki massaged her temples and sighed loudly. "A real-life harem comedy...I can't believe this is really happening before my own eyes."

"Ara, Kusanagi-sama is really an interesting person," giggled Kougai. She had to agree with Sonshoukou that Yamato was quite handsome and had a side she found quite adorable.

As the last tunes of Toki no Hana played, the Chou Sisters ended their dance with a pose before the crowd cheered loudly, like at the end of their other songs before this one. They definitely liked the songs Yamato had written for the Chou Sisters because it was nothing like they have ever heard.

"Thank you, everyone! Now, as a special treat, our own Peerless Blue Swordsman will sing a song for you!" declared Tenhou as he pointed to Yamato who was sitting in the audience.

"Nani!?" Yamato exclaimed as the spotlight shone on him. That wasn't in the plan. Everyone present began to chant for his name, pressuring Yamato further. His friends and generals didn't help either. Touka, Aisha, Shuri, Hinari, and Rinrin looked at him expectantly while Shun slapped his back as he laughed. Karin had an expectant look in her eyes while Renfa, Sonshoukou and the Go contingents also looked expectant.

Sighing in defeat, Yamato made his way to the stage and took the microphone from Chiihou who smiled at him.

"First, let me say that I am not the best singer around so please bear with me," spoke Yamato. He faintly heard Renhou faking a cough that sounded like 'Not true'. "And this is the first time I've sung in front of a crowd, so please do excuse me if I have sudden stage fright."

"You'll do just great, Yamato-sama," assured Tenhou with a smile.

Yamato smiled back at her before turned back to the crowd and said, "Before the fun begins, let me say this to start. THIS IS MY STAGE NOW!"

The crowd cheered loudly at his exclamation. Yamato then grabbed an emptied sound crystal and focused on the song he wanted to sing. Once he finished, he took a deep sigh and touched the crystal to activate it.

(Play BGM: Supernova by Tetra-Fang)

Music began to play as he sang the intro of his song.

"Afuredasu kanjou ga
Kono karada tsukiyaburi
Toki o tokashi hajimatta Next Stage"

As the instrumental played, Yamato performed a solo dance number to the beat before it was time to continue singing the lyrics.

"Itsumo tari nakute
Iiwake teki na akirame
Zutto tsumiagete ita kakusu you ni"

The crowd went wild as the energetic music played on and Yamato continued to sing. His generals listened to his singing, completely enraptured. Sure they had heard him hum some songs while doing his paperwork, but listening to him sing was quite a different experience.

"Doko ka toomaki ni
Nagameteta you na keshiki
Kyuu ni tenohira no ue konagona ni kudake chiru"

The Chou Sisters followed the rhythm of the song and acted as backup dancers for Yamato as he continued to sing. The females in the audience were screaming excitedly at the sight of him and his singing pierced their hearts like arrows. His good looks and wonderful singing voice had just earned him fangirls.

"Kono kimochi no ikiba oshiete"

"Yamato-sama…" gasped Aisha in surprise, her eyes wide with wonder and awe.

"Seigyo funou atsui honoo
Tomadoi wo yakiharai
Kinou made no kankaku wasuresaseru

No one ever knows boku no oto
Dokomademo shinka suru
mada shiranai jibun ga mezameteku
Supernova"

"Sugoi...Yamato-sama is so amazing!" Touka gushed, her blue eyes sparkled in delight. In her point of view, Yamato was the perfect man. Strong, yet kind, considerate, and generous, and now he revealed that he was also a good singer. What a pleasant surprise!

"Mae ni susumu koto
Kowagattari wa mou shinai
Koukai suru koto ni narenai you "

"Yeah! Go, Onii-chan! You're the best! The most awesome!" cheered Rinrin loudly.

"Mamoritai to negau
Taisetsu na hito no mirai
Kizuita shunkan kara subete wa kawari dashita"

"Hawawa…"

"Awawa…."

Shuri and Hinari were rendered speechless. Sure they had listened to him humming a song once in a while, but this...This paled in comparison to those hummings.

"Hora unmei kasoku shite yuku"

"And there goes the heartbreaker of the Shinjuku Private Academy," Shun grinned as he listened to his best friend singing Supernova. He then glanced at Yuki before he shrugged. "Well, the second heartbreaker it is."

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Yuki asked as she looked at him weirdly.

"You're the three times Shinjuku Private Idol, remember?"Shun reminded and Yuki's cheeks flushed red.

"Shut up…"

"Shougekido saidai no
Dekigoto ga kiseki yobu
Umarekawaru jibun wo tomerarenai

No one ever knows boku no hadou
Sekaijuu hibikasete
Atarashii jidai e to hashiridasou
Supernova"

"Hmm...Not bad, Kusanagi. Not bad at all," Karin commented as her foot tapped the ground following the energetic beat of the song. She wasn't blind to other people's talents and in her eyes Yamato had so many talents. She now desired him more and more.

Kakuka and Ukin were also cheering for Yamato. They might have just met him, but they could tell that he was a good singer. A damn good one for sure.

Renfa smiled as she enjoyed Yamato's performance. Truly, Yamato Kusanagi was one of a kind person. He possessed both strength and compassion which made him truly strong. It was why she made him her ally because she knew, he would be the key to change this world for the better, regardless of his status as the First Messenger of Heaven. She would be standing by his side as his trusted ally. And perhaps one day, she would become his…

'Where in the world did that thought came from?' Renfa shook her head as she tried to dismiss the stray thought, though her cheeks were still flushed thanks to it.

Sonshoukou cheered loudly among the crowd. She now had a new goal in her life: becoming the wife of Yamato Kusanagi. As the third child of her family, she didn't have a set goal as she wasn't going to inherit the throne and would have to be married to some noble in the future, but Sonshoukou didn't want just any noble. She wanted someone strong and compassionate, a person who wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty to get the job done. A perfect example of the person she was looking for now was on stage, entertaining his people with his song.

'If Renfa-neesan missed her chance with Yamato, then I will get him myself,' Sonshoukou thought to herself before she cheered for Yamato again. "Yeah! Show 'em Yamato!"

"Afuredasu kanjou ga
Kono karada tsukiyaburi
...There's no need to escape

Boku wa ima kawatteku...
Unmei no naka chiisana hoshi umareru mitai ni"

Shuutai listened to the song Yamato sang and had to agree he was a good singer. As she was now the bodyguard of the Third Princess of Son Go, she couldn't show what she felt outwardly as it was unbecoming of her. Her inner fangirl, though, had no such restraint as she cheered loudly inside the young girl's mind.

Kougai was also enjoying the show. It was quite rare to see a man with so much talent on these days, especially at his age. She would be lying if she didn't feel attracted to the young king. She wasn't shallow like the fangirls around her as she had learned about the young man before from Yuki and Renfa. But there was the matter of the age difference between them. She was much older than he was, around eight years more or less. And there was where their allegiance lied. They might be allies, but the future was so uncertain and anything might happen. For now, she just wanted to enjoy some good music. Kougai wished she had some sake, though.

"Seigyo funou atsui honoo
Tomadoi wo yakiharai
Kinou made no kankaku wasuresaseru

No one ever knows boku no oto
Dokomademo shinka suru
Mada shiranai jibun ga mezameteku
Supernova

Mienai kurayami no naka
Kasuka na hikari tsukuridasu you ni..."

And finally Yamato performed a dance which ended in a twirl as he pointed at the audience right as the music ended. At first there was silence and Yamato wondered if he had done a horrible job. He had been so engrossed in his singing that he hadn't noticed the cheering.

(Stop BGM)

And then the thunderous applause from the audience and the girls, well...

"MARRY ME, GAIM-SAMA!"

"I WANT TO HAVE YOUR BABIES!"

"MAKE ME YOUR MISTRESS!"

Yamato gulped. Well that was quite extreme reactions he got. The sudden killing intent spiking from where his generals and guests were sitting didn't help him that much, though it quelled those fangirls quite well.

Taking a calming breath, he spoke, "Thank you everyone! I'm glad you enjoyed tonight's concert! Just to make sure, do you want another concert like this in the future?"

The loud cheers coming from the audiences gave Yamato the answer he needed.

"Then you shall have it! I will hold a concert like this one every two months and on special occasions! Of course, the Chou Sisters will be the main stars of it!"

As soon as he finished his declaration, the crowd cheered again and he was engulfed in a group hug by the a happily crying and grateful Chou Sisters.

"Thank you! Thank you so much, Yamato-sama!"

"You three are under my care now, so your happiness and wellbeing are my responsibility," Yamato replied as he smiled at them. The sisters looked up to him with bright smile before they wiped of the tears from their face.

They then turned to their audience and waved at them. "Thank you for coming here tonight! We hope to see you again in our next concert! GOOD NIGHT!"

With the concert over, Yamato and the Chou Sisters got off from the stage and were greeted by their friends.

"Yeah! You showed them buddy!" Shun cheered.

"Really impressive. I can see why the Chou Sisters are regarded as a group of idols," commented Yuki with a smile.

"Girls, these two are my friends, Shun and Yuki, or you better know them as the Unmatched Red Knight Baron and the Unrivaled Green Marksman Ryugen," Yamato introduced and the Chou Sisters gasped in surprise before Yamato gestured to Karin and Renfa, as well as their entourage. "Over here are Sousou Motoku-dono and her entourage from Sou Gi and Sonken Chuubou-dono of Son Go along with her entourages."

"T-Thank you so much for coming!" Tenhou and her sisters immediately bowed to their VIP guests. "W-We hope you enjoyed our performance!"

"Oh we enjoyed it alright. It is truly an amazing performance," smiled Renfa. The Queen of Son Go then turned to Yamato, "Your generals said you organized this concert for the Chou Sisters, correct?"

"That's right. They earned this after their hard work while I was in the Anti-Toutaku Alliance. Besides, it is a special occasion as the people's morale is still high after 'Toutaku the Tyrant' was dethroned," replied Yamato.

"Still, organizing an event like this in a week speaks much of your capability," nodded Karin with an approving glance before she smiled. "You are truly an interesting person, Yamato. Just how many talents do you have?

"Thank you for your kind words, Karin-dono," replied Yamato humbly. "Talents can only do so much, but eventually our own efforts make what we wanted a reality."

Karin only smirked at Yamato before nodded.

"Ano, Yamato-sama?" Tenhou called out to the King of Shoku. "We would like to retire for the night early. Is it alright with you?"

"Sure, go ahead. You girls deserve it after your spectacular performance tonight," he answered with a smile before frowned a little. "You could have told me if you planned something like this before so I could've prepare myself better." He was referring to his impromptu performance earlier.

"It was my idea," Chiihou admitted sheepishly. "You have a good singing voice, so I thought this concert would be a good chance for people to hear you singing."

Yamato blushed and scratched his cheek in embarrassment. "...I'm not that good…"

"I beg to differ, Yamato-sama. You did great when you sang that last song," argued Aisha as Touka nodded in agreement.

"Yes, I can't wait to hear you sing again! It was so good~!"

"...Thanks, Touka, Aisha," replied Yamato. "But if you want to hear someone with a good singing voice, then you should listen to Yuki's singing."

Sonshoukou whirled at Yuki with a surprised look on her face. "Really? You can sing, Yuki-neechan?"

Yuki blushed as everyone was looking at her. Shun grinned before he pulled her into a one-armed hug which earned a startled squeak from the bespectacled girl. "Of course she can! She is the future idol of Japan, you know?"

Yamato chuckled as a red-faced Yuki pushed Shun away and slapped the back of his head with a harisen she pulled from...somewhere. "You should listen to her singing once in a while when you return to Son Go, Renfa-dono."

"I think I shall," Renfa smiled at her Green Marksman. "Thank you for telling me ."

"Oh, I have an idea! How about Yuki-san sings in the next concert?" suggested Touka.

"That sounds like a good idea," replied Yamato before turning to the Chou Sisters. "How does it sounds to you three?"

"We would be delighted to!" answered Tenhou with a bright smile. Maybe Yuki could collaborate with them to write a new song .

"May we excuse ourselves now, Yamato-sama?" asked Renhou.

"You may go ahead and get some rest. Goodnight, Tenhou, Renhou, Chiihou."

Tenhou and Chihou shared a glance before the eldest sister nodded with a giggle. Renhou blushed as she watched her sisters' silent interaction while Yamato was a bit lost at the byplay between them.

"Is there something wrong?"

Everyone was caught off-guard when Tenhou and Chiihou kissed Yamato's cheeks before they pulled back with flushed faces.

"Goodnight, Yamato-sama!" the sisters chorused before they went back to the palace.

Yamato watched them left, stunned to silence as he realized he had been pranked twice in a day, in such short interval, by the same people too.

"Whoa…"

Shun's awed murmur broke Yamato from his trance. When he turned around, he saw Shun and Yuki gaping in shock while Touka and Aisha recoiled as if they were struck with surprised expressions. Shuri and Hinari's face flushed red while Rinrin pouted. Karin raised a curious eyebrow while Renfa and Sonshoukou also looked surprise. The entourage of Gi and Go were no better either.

"...Dude, you have two cute girls who just kissed you on the cheek," Shun spoke before he grinned. "I guess you're walking down the harem route, huh?"

"Hoh? So you choose not to conquer the land, but conquer the hearts of the maidens instead?" inquired Karin with a smirk as her cheeks flushed a little. "Ara, looks like I really have to keep my distance from you."

Aisha and Touka were snapped out of their dazed state before they demanded to Yamato. "Yamato-sama, what is the meaning of this!?"

"...I think…I have been pranked...again," Yamato said slowly.

Mentally he wondered, how in the world he ended in this complex situation with the girls around him. He wasn't blind that some of the girls had feelings for him and that left him in a bind because he was raised in a society that firmly believed in monogamy. But that belief was challenged in this world as polygamy was widely accepted especially for someone in his position as a ruler and king.

Honestly, Yamato never ever considered being in any sort of relationship with the girls here. There was a possibility that he and his friends would return home once their mission here was finished. They were, after all, not of this time or world. However, there was also the possibility that they were stuck here. At some point, Yamato would settle down with someone and raise a family.

He glanced over to Aisha and Touka who he had befriended. Considering their attitude towards him, it was safe to say that they had feelings for him. The Chou Sisters also seemed fond of him after he helped them and it was possible that Hinari and Shuri had schoolgirl crushes on him. He could see the strategists growing up into beautiful young women someday, which may cause more trouble for him in the relationships department.

Should he adhere to his traditional values of a monogamous relationship, or adapt to the era he was in and use his position to get a harem? He could, being a lord, but would he do it? Could he just share his love with others and not just one?

What would it be? Multiple wives? Or would it be one wife with several mistresses and concubines? All this was giving him a headache.

He was better off just thinking about the battlefield rather than the war of love. At least he could handle the former.

The Chou Sisters' return concert that was held in Xizang had become big news as everyone in China was talking about it. Many of them wished they could have been there to watch the idols on stage, listening to them as they sang the songs that were apparently written by Yamato Kusanagi himself. It was said that Kusanagi sang the last song of the concert and he received praises from Sousou and Sonken who he had invited.

However, there was one person who wasn't pleased with the news.

"How dare Kusanagi not invited me to that concert of his!?" Enshou raged as her body trembled in obvious fury.

"You and Kusanagi-dono do not have the best of relationship, Reiha-neesama. What makes you think he would invite you?" replied Enjutsu snidely. Enjutsu Korou was the cousin of Enshou and the two of them could barely stand in the presence of one another. She was an adolescent girl with the same hair and eye color with her cousin but with a different hairstyle. Hers were curled into loose ringlets on the end instead. She was wearing a sleeveless yellow dress with purple sash which was tied in a bow on the front and yellow detached sleeves. Her accessories consisted of a silver tiara and purple bow in her hair, red earrings, and blue beaded necklace to show her nobility status.

"Besides, you never hid your dislike towards Yamato-sama during the Alliance," reminded Bunshuu.

"Yamato-sama probably noticed that. Subtlety is not your specialty, Enshou-sama," added Ganryou.

Enshou shrieked and pulled her hair as she stood to her feet. "That's it! Kusanagi will pay for everything he had done to me! We're declaring war on Shoku!"

Everyone present was surprised by Enshou's impulsive decision to call for a war against Shoku. They knew Enshou was impatient and brash, and stupid at times , but this definitely took the cake.

"Wait a second, Reiha-neesama! Are you out of your mind!?" Enjutsu protested.

"Enshou-sama, you do realize that you're declaring a war against the third great power in China, don't you?" reminded Choukun. Choukun was Enjutsu's personal attendant and also her personal bootlicker. She was a young woman with short blue with white hair clips on the right side to keep her bangs away and purple eyes. She was wearing white and blue tunic which resembled a flight attendant's uniform, complete with white and blue barrett and white gloves. She was also wearing a pair of black leggings and white boots. A sheathed sword hung on the back of her hips by a black belt.

"I don't care! I will defeat him even if I have to use everything the En Clan has!" declared Enshou stubbornly.

"Seriously, Reiha-nee-sama! Do you really have to throw a temper tantrum in such way? Do you realize what would happen to our family if we lose?" protested Enjutsu. Spoiled and egotistical as she was, Enjutsu was much smarter than Enshou, proven by how many times she outsmarted and manipulated her older cousin. She knew if the En Clan lost to Shoku, then it would spell the end of their family. That was a definite result.

"I will win against Kusanagi and his Kingdom! Then I will make him my slave for all of his insults!" replied Enshou. "There's no way I could lose against that upstart!"

"You lost the position of the Supreme Commander of the Anti-Toutaku Alliance to him," Bunshuu pointed out and Ganryou nodded in agreement.

"Hmph! That doesn't count!" Enshou denied, much to her attendants and cousin's exasperation.

"So, you are really serious in declaring war on Kusanagi and Shoku, Enshou-dono," Enshou's head snapped to the entrance of her throne chamber when she heard that voice. Standing there was Ukitsu, Sasuke, and Keiichi.

"Who are you?! How did you get in here!?" demanded Enshou as Bunshuu and Ganryou went to their position to protect their mistress.

"That doesn't matter. Tell me, Enshou Honshou. What would you do to defeat Kusanagi?" Ukitsu asked.

"Don't answer him, Enshou-sama! Something about him is really fishy!" pleaded Ganryou.

"I agree with Toshii! He can't be trusted!" Bunshuu agreed with her partner.

Enshou pushed against her retainers and approached Ukitsu, much to their surprise.

"Reiha-sama!" She ignored their call and kept walking.

"Reiha-neesama! Listen to Bunshuu-san and Ganryou-san! You can't seriously trust that suspicious man's word, can you?" Not even Enjutsu's reasoning could reach her.

Enshou stopped at an arm's length in front of Ukitsu and regarded him silently for a whole minute. She then inquired, "Are you saying you have a way to defeat Kusanagi?"

Ukitsu's reply was a dark smirk as he spoke, "Like I said, what would you do to defeat him?"

A/N: Another HBP/filler chapter, but yeah it is a necessary development and all with everything I have in my mind. Development goes hand-in-hand with the plot, so it is a given. I hope you enjoy this chapter as much as I enjoyed to write it. Special thanks to Kamen Rider Chrome and Fennikusumaru for helping with this chapter. Chapter 12 Tentative title: To be a Human

Omake: A Brother's Wrathful Protection

The room was dark and poorly lit. In the center of the room was a long table with several male students seated at it . At the head of the table was another student with a plain looking face and brown hair. Standing to his flanks were two other students who acted as if they were his guards.

"My brothers, thank you for coming today," the apparent leader greeted. "We are gathered here today for our "official" club meeting."

Not really since this club wasn't registered as an official club of their school.

"Miyaga-kun, if you would?" A bespectacled, green-haired student nodded and turned on the slide projector.

The image of two girls appeared on the canvas screen behind the leader. One was a fifteen year old girl with black hair that was tied in a short ponytail and gray eyes. She was beautiful by the standards of girls her age with an athletic build. Her tomboyish looks didn't detract her beauty, in fact her tomboyishness gave her a unique charm.

The other girl had short black hair and gray eyes, but looked younger, around thirteen years old. Her figure was not developed as her sister due to her age, but she was definitely a beautiful young woman with her bright smile that could charmed everyone off of their feet.

The club members all let out an awed gasp upon seeing the girls, some even swooned, as the 'leader' stood up before gesturing at the projected image grandiosely.

"This, my comrades, is the reason for the our club exist," the tone of his voice got louder as he continued to say, "Our goddesses, our idols, and our queens...Yuuhi and Yukari Kusanagi!"

The club members cheered loudly at that. Some of them even wolfwhistled at the girls' image to show their...appreciation of them. The 'leader' raised a hand to calm them down.

"We, the I Heart YuuYuka club, was formed so we could increase our chances to land ourselves at least one date with either of our idols-slash-goddess-slash-queens and whoever ends up as their boyfriends would get the support of our club. That is what we are on paper, however…" the 'leader' then slammed his hands down on the table as he stood up. "Our success rate is very close to zero!"

His outcry was replied by several more outcries and outburst from the members of the club.

"Even before we stand united in a single front, our chances were very slim, negative even. And when we formed this club, our chances are only slightly and marginally better! All this is because-"

The door then slammed open, interrupting the 'leader''s speech. The guards who were posted outside crashed to the ground, out cold.

"W-What happened?" asked a club member.

"So this is where you guys are. Looks like my little interrogation paid off."

All the club members began to breaking in cold sweat when they heard that voice. The voice that caused so much pain in their pursuit of their goal to land themselves a date with Yuuhi or Yukari. They still remembered all of those bamboo blade-assisted blows on their bodies from several encounters with what they regarded as the final boss in their conquest to pursue the affection of their idols.

Standing in the entrance was none other than Yamato Kusanagi with a bokuto rested on his shoulder and one hand holding his waist. A smile was present on his face, but it was a falsely pleasant smile. The dark aura around Yamato probably didn't help their case either.

"H-How did you find this place!?" asked the 'leader' shakily.

"Like I said, I interrogated someone from your 'club'," answered Yamato. "I think it was Motohama. All I needed to do was to remind him about what I did to him when I caught him stalking my sisters two months ago. It wasn't long before he sang like a little bird."

The club members blanched at the reminder. Motohama was caught red-handed stalking Yuuhi and Yukari by none other Yamato. He got a shinai shoved in the place where the sun don't shine for it.

"W-What do you want with us?"

"I'm here to perform some disciplinary action," Yamato told them. He then looked at the club members. "I see I have to deal with each of you at least once in the past. I wonder what will make you stop pursuing my sisters?"

"Nothing will make us stop from pursuing the affection of our goddesses!" retorted the 'leader'.

"Oh, Hyoudou...You never learn do you?" Yamato shook his head and sighed. He was impressed by Hyoudou's determination and relentless drive to get himself a date, but he wished it wasn't his sisters he pursued. The fact that Hyoudou along with Motohama and some of the club members were known as unrepentant perverts didn't score any brownie point with Yamato.

"Shut up!" Hyoudou retorted before gesturing to his club members. "There's only one of you while there are so many of us! There's no way you can win!" His words began to perk up his 'club' members. "We will get our revenge for everything you have put us through!"

Yamato arched an eyebrow with a look that told them 'Are you seriously that stupid?', which served to infuriate Hyoudou further.

"Just one last question? Is this soundproof?"

"Of course! No one will hear you scream when we beat you up!" Hyoudou boasted.

That was all Yamato needed to know. "Shun, Yuki, close the door. Don't let anyone come in or out until I'm done with these idiots."

Hyoudou and his club members growled angrily when it was clear to them that Yamato was underestimating them. With their ego and pride insulted by the dismissal, their anger had overwritten their fear, reasoning, and survival instincts.

"ATTACK!" Hyoudou ordered his club members and he along with them charged at Yamato driven by their desire for revenge.

"...And here I thought I could just scare them off," Yamato sighed as he readied his bokuto in two-handed grip stance. The door closed behind him, courtesy of Shun and Yuki.

And so, the massacre began.

Several minutes later…

Yukari Kusanagi rocked on the balls of her feet with a pout on her face as she waited with her older sister. "Muu~, Nii-chan is late."

"Nii-san must be busy with something. I'm sure he will come soon," Yuuhi assured her sister.

"But Nee-chan, all the takoyaki in the park will be gone if we don't hurry!" Yukari whined.

"Patience, Yukari-chan," chided Yuuhi.

Just then, they saw Yamato approached them. He smiled when he saw his sisters were waiting for him in front of the school gates. Yuuhi and Yukari immediately perked up upon seeing their brother walking toward them.

"Nii-chan!" Yukari called out as she hugged her brother.

"Sorry to make you wait. I had to clean up some trash and then wash my hands afterwards," replied Yamato.

"No problem. So, ready to get some takoyaki, Nii-san?" asked Yuuhi eagerly.

"Of course. Is it delicious?"

"You bet! It's the best takoyaki in Shinjuku!" answered Yukari cheerfully.

"Great, I'll be paying then!" Yamato's reply was answered with delighted cheers from his sisters.

"Alright! Thanks, Nii-san!"

"Yay! C'mon, let's go or we will run out of takoyaki!"

Yamato only chuckled as he was dragged away by his sisters. Seeing them smiling freely like that was worth his actions. He would do anything to protect his sisters' virtue.

Even if that meant he had to beat up a thousand perverts and idiots like Hyoudou and his ilk.

Back at the 'Clubroom'...

The unconscious body of the I Heart YuuYuka Club Members were strewn haphazardly across the wrecked clubroom, out cold or in the verge of unconsciousness, moaning and groaning in pain. All of them were beaten up black and blue with swelling bruises here and there. Some of them even had their teeth knocked out and lips busted.

Shun and Yuki stood at the doorway, looking at the aftermath of Yamato's rampage.

"Remind me to always stay on his good side," requested Shun.

"Scary," agreed Yuki.

Hyoudou let out a pained groan before he cursed, "...D-Damn you...F-Final Boss...Gah…"

Darkness finally claimed him and the rest of his club members.
