A Different Beginning

Chapter 50

A.N. I am trying to wrap this story up, but not everyone is going to jump on board the Aurora path. Also besides blowing up the hub the cylon leaders have to convince their fellows cylons there is no cylon god and they have to agree to follow Aurora and her chosen one. When I started this story I did not plan on it being this long or detailed. I also remembered Adama finding the note about there being twelve models, so now I have to deal with that. I have three in mind that are not the original ones. Any ideas let me know, I know they have to be important or in a main position. Just let me know if whomever is reading this if they are in it for the long haul. If not I can have Kara and a basestar take off on their own and just finish it once and for all.

All mistakes are mine.

Colonial One

After speaking with Billy and getting his help on talking points Mark had him call a meeting with the Quorum.

Mark placed a call to Commander Adama earlier asking him to only announce that Roslin was in a coma and that he would be acting president until she woke up. He also said to tell the people some questions would be at the Quorum meeting. Afterwards their Quorum representatives could fill them in.

Mark sat where Roslin usually sat with Billy beside him waiting on the twelve Quorum leaders, he looked at Billy " I want to thank you for helping me and also ask where you stand on the cylons and Aurora or Pythia? "

Billy looked around before answering " I agree about the cylons because I trust Commander Adama on military matters, as for as the other I am not a religious person, so I'll follow whoever has the most knowledge " Billy paused " I was a friend of Dee's and I can't believe what she did and I realize that is also a military matter, but the woman she hired is a civilian with a daughter and she needs to be released, do you think you can help with that? "

Mark had forget about her, but not Dee " Do you know where her daughter is staying? "

Billy nodded " Roslin placed her with an elderly couple on the Rota, after pulling a lot of strings to get her off the Prometheus "

Mark looked right at him " I'll try, but I have to speak to the injured parties and Commander Adama " he looked at his notes then at Billy " So there are twelve members with only one being a civilian, three major religion sects Sagittarons, Gemenese and Pythia, right? "

Billy shook his head " There is also an Aurora delegate "

Mark sighed " Good to know, now Billy I need to know if you are going to back me up and help me like you did Roslin? "

Billy nodded " Yes Mr President I will "

Mark smiled " Call me Mark when we are not in public please, this is a lot for me to take in and I don't won't to be called Mr President all of the time "

Billy smiled slightly " Okay, they are coming in, are you ready? "

Mark nodded glad Adama had already made the announcement, so no one should be surprised to see him.

Mark waited until they all took their seats then stood up " As you heard I will be taking over until President Roslin is able to return " he paused" All I can say about her medically, is that she collapsed and is in a coma, Doctor Cottle doesn't know why or when she will come out of it "

A Priest stood up " I represent the Aurora followers, is there any chance that Aurora caused her collapse? "

Mark had hoped to discuss the cylons " Although I am not a religious person evidence seems to support that theory "

The Priest nodded " Aurora supporters also believe this to be true " he took his seat.

A Priestess stood next " I am Gemenese and we believe that we should continue to follow Pythia, especially since President Roslin is the dying leader and has led us this far, unless there is compelling evidence about Aurora and her chosen one we will follow Pythia "

The civilian stood next " I represent the group of civilians who do not believe in the gods at all, with that being said we have agreed to follow Commander Adama's decision " he looked around before speaking again " I know most of you will try to split between Aurora and Pythia, but what you need to remember is that without the Galactica you will be left with no one to defend you, so I beg you to come to an agreement on this matter "

Mark stood back up " Thank you I couldn't have said it better myself " he looked at his notes " Right now we need to discuss the cylons, because I have been told that the chosen one cannot lead us anywhere until we have settled things with the rouge cylons and ourselves " he paused " I know the vote was ten to two in favor of the cylon alliance, but what you may not know is that there is a cylon civil war going on right now. One cylon model has been boxed, meaning it no longer exists, the other six are split and our three models are winning the war. The next step will be destroying the cylon hub ending resurrection forever. There will be three cylon basestars joining us soon, their three leaders have chosen to follow Aurora, but they have to convince their copies that there is no cylon god " Mark chuckled " Somehow I believe they will become united faster than we can "

The Sagittaron Priestess stood up " Is it true what Priestess Eloshi said about the chosen one leaving the fleet and finding their own way if we cannot agree? "

Mark sighed " Yes, I spoke with Eloshi and she said that is what Aurora told her. Look people Aurora chose this child before birth and she is giving us a chance at a new home, but not at the cost of her chosen one " he paused " If we can't all agree some of you will be left behind, you know better than me what the gods and goddesses are capable of, so decide soon "

The Priestess spoke again " What made the cylon leaders choose to follow Aurora and if I'm not mistaken that is what you are going to choose to do? "

Mark looked down for a brief second " From what I was told their cylon hybrid has been spouting off about Aurora and her chosen one, as for me Eloshi who you know is from the house of Pythia spoke to Aurora and changed her mind about who to follow, after speaking with her I have come to believe that she is right " he paused again " I was also told the religious ones won't step foot on our new home if they go against Aurora and I know that you know she can tell if you are lying, as for the non believers as long as you stay out of Aurora and her chosen ones way she won't force religion on those who don't believe "

Mark heard a few start to get upset and sat back down.

Another person stood up " I was one of the ones who voted against the cylons joining us, but if Commander Adama and the military trust them then I agree to the alliance. I only hope we get a chance to speak to a couple of the leaders "

Mark stayed seated " I think I can make that happen. If that's all I suggest you try to come to an agreement with your people, with that being said, I would like to get a show of hands as to who already can agree on Aurora's path "

He saw six people raise their hands. He also saw that the Gemenese, Sagittarons and four others had not.

Mark looked at the two main religious houses " You don't have much time, if I were you I would hurry up or chance being left behind " he stood up " Meeting adjourned "

Mark leaned towards Billy " Is there a chance any of the six will change their mind? "

Billy shrugged " I think the Sagittaron Priestess might and if she does it is a good chance one or two will follow her "

Mark stood up " Lets hope she does "

Cloud Nine

Lee and Kara were eating with Adam while talking about Roslin and Eloshi, who had gone back to the Aurora to avoid any more questions for the day.

Kara finally brought up what she wanted done " Adam I want to see if Aurora will speak to Lee "

Lee once again objected " I don't think I should "

Adam chuckled " It will be okay Lee, besides I think she needs to speak to you "

Lee was a lot more concerned now " What could she possibly want to talk to me about? "

Kara was also curious, but it is what she wanted. " I think you should do it Lee, she might tell you more about my destiny " Kara shivered " I still don't understand why she chose me "

Adam thought he knew " Lee I believe you are a part of Kara's destiny, but I'm not sure how "

Kara spoke " Lets do it now, I will watch the restaurant, Adam you need to go be with Lee "

Lee looked at Adam " I'll do it if you are with me "

Adam nodded his head, only because he knew Aurora would want to talk to Lee " Let's get Willow, Kara you need to keep anyone from bothering us "

They all stood up and went to tell Willow what was going on.

Willow led them to Mark's bedroom and shut the door, she then had them set in a circle each holding one of her hands " Don't let go Apollo "

They all watched as it seemed they were in a temple " Where are we? " Lee asked

Adam answered " The temple on Delphi "

All of a sudden Lee saw a woman dressed in a flowing blue dress and long blonde hair that seemed to flow around her and with a white light behind her standing about four feet from them.

Aurora spoke " Hello Apollo "

Lee was gobsmacked " You are beautiful "

Aurora blushed a little " It seems only you and your namesake can make me blush, and there is a reason for that. I have a lot to say, so I ask that you listen and question me afterward " she looked at Willow " Some of what you hear today you cannot repeat, understood Willow? "

Willow nodded " Can I ask why you look different today? "

Aurora chuckled " It was my Apollo's idea since we have a special visitor today " she walked around until she was facing Lee " Apollo it is no coincidence that you have your call-sign or that you have met Kara and fallen in love with her, your lives were always fated to be as one " she paused " Just as I chose Kara while in the womb the god Apollo chose you, because your destinies are intertwined, even you must see that "

Lee spoke up though he was told not to " I don't see how I am supposed to help Kara, she could do this without me "

Aurora sighed " First off you and Kara have cheated death many times and that is because myself and Apollo have watched over you. Second as Kara is the dawn you are the sun one cannot survive without the other. If not for you Kara could not fulfill her destiny, which would leave the human race to die out " She walked around coming back to stand before him " You cannot tell Kara what I am about to tell you all. " They all nodded in agreement.

" As you know I am the goddess of the dawn flying across the galaxies bringing the dawn. Kara will not see signs while awake, when it is time she will fly with me as she sleeps seeing the way to your new home, over several weeks. Her sleep can not be disturbed, for this to happen Apollo I need for you and Kara to marry, so that you can be with her as she sleeps "

After hearing that Lee busted out laughing " I would love to marry her, but Kara is not going to agree to that, especially since we can't tell her why "

Aurora spoke sharply " It must happen " she looked at Adam " You must help convince her, tell her I said it needs to happen for her love and her protection as she sleeps. You can also tell her that her and Apollo were bonded by the gods before birth and she must not anger the gods "

Adam agreed with her anyway " I'll talk to her "

Aurora sighed, now for the hard part " Do you two remember the Greystones? "

Adam nodded, Lee answered " Some of it I think my grandfather used to be involved with them, why? "

Aurora walked around while speaking " Your grandfather cut ties with them after your father's sister was killed in the same accident that took Zoe Greystone's life. Zoe's father and mother worked with their assistant to create an avatar for her while she was in a centurions body. After they succeeded Amanda Greystone along with their assistant created a human cylon behind her husbands back. This was a year after the first cylon war, Amanda wanted a son. Later her and her son, so to speak created an older brother for him. Then Amanda died leaving the two alone, so they went on to create three more, which are known as the final five "

They all started to speak, but Willow was faster " You mean there are five more cylons around, what are we going to do ? "

Aurora raised her hand for silence " Let me finish, yes there are five more, but they don't know they are cylons. As a matter of fact they are more human than the cylons you know. The assistant also died right after the final five created the one you know as Cavil they said it was an accident, but I know it was not, it was Cavil and he wiped the memories of the final five. Then he went on to create the six other models "

Lee asked " Do you think our cylon allies know this an kept it from us? "

Aurora shook her head " No they have no idea, Cavil lied to them all "

Adam asked " Who are they? "

Aurora looked at them all " I won't tell you, but I promise they are no danger to you " she thought for minute " Okay, one is a danger to both humans and cylons and especially to you and Kara " she said looking at Lee " I'll tell you this one but not the others, if you agree to keep her locked up or out an airlock I really don't care. I am afraid for Kara's life " still looking at Lee " Ask your dad, he found a note in his office saying there were twelve models, he has known since Ragnar "

Lee nodded " It's Dee isn't it? "

Aurora nodded " I guess that is what made her crazy, she was obsessed with you like Leobon was with Kara "

Willow asked " Are you sure the other four can be trusted, or will their programming go on the fritz ? "

Aurora thought for a second " Yes they can be trusted, but if something changes I will let you know. Right now knowing would do more harm than good." she looked at Lee " Apollo I can't speak to Kara directly, but if she goes to the see the hybrid on the basestar it could help her and Natalie. I think Natalie is going to need help in convincing the other cylons that they have no god. " she looked at Willow " You will see Caprica soon, she has been very busy and has more than earned her passage, I have to go now " she looked at Apollo once again before disappearing " Tell Kara I said hello and mind her goddess "

The temple disappeared and all still sat.

Lee asked " What in the frak are we supposed to tell Kara? "

Willow answered " I know I'm not supposed to say anything, but you can tell her about the final five, the hybrid, you being Apollo's chosen one and oh yeah you have to get married, good luck "

Adam stood up adding " Well you were bonded by the gods before birth "

Lee stood up also " I thought Aurora told you to make the marriage happen "

Kara had been worrying about what was taking so long. She finally had enough and opened Mark's bedroom door only to find the three of them standing there like they had been to Hades and back.

" What the frak took so long and what happened you all look like you went a round with the devil instead of a goddess "

They all just looked at her.
